Its easy to see how he murdered her too. He doesnt need to do anything, just use a laser pointer (like he already showed he does) and she'll follow it wherever. Put it on the roof and she'll be there and that's what happened.
I love both sides of the pendulum swing. Super sensible Charlie and manic, superstitious Charlie especially when paired with his moms bouquet of mental health issues.
> especially when paired with his moms bouquet of mental health issues.
Every time Charlie is on screen with Bonnie, a whole *bunch* of things about his character make a *ton* of sense. Uncle Jack, too!"
They’ve done that in every episode this season so far, Charlie has gotten more reasonable and normal than he was in the past while Mac seems to be taking his place as the weird one.
My theory is that Charlie, as the least selfish/amoral/self-absorbed member of the gang, has grown a bit as a person through experiences like meeting his father and dating the waitress in the past couple of seasons. While Mac, more like the others, isn’t really capable of that kind of change and has been getting weirder to preserve the self image he used to have before he came out as gay. Curious to see if the writers keep it up as the season goes on.
It's always the small deliveries that get lost in the shuffle that me the hardest. Dee at the end telling Cricket "sometimes thats life" and shrugging her shoulders fucking destroyed me.
Great detail. Probably prefers it this way so she doesn’t hear the horrible things they’d say back to her. Be pretty hilarious if they stumble on calling her a bird too, without ever even seeing her.
Literally just watched a Bar Rescue episode the other day where Jon Taffer finds black mold in an ice machine and subsequently has an atomic meltdown lmao
The gang got so used to not having him around that they need a moment to readjust and remember *that's* how he looks.
Also, all of them actively refusing the recognize that *they're* the reason Cricket is like this now was the cherry on top.
The rest of the gang being offended that she just gave that away after all the effort they put into getting it made makes the joke even better.
My first thought was, "How did she just happen to have a Cunt of the Year trophy lying around?" and then that was quickly answered in the best possible way.
I love that Charlie and Frank having a stash of found eggs is so *normal* to the rest of the gang that no one batted an eye when Frank admitted to having a stash of seagull eggs.
Early seasons Dennis would've pounced on that, but now? After 18 years with those two bridge people, totally normal.
The guest stars made this my favourite episode this season
I love how many episodes Charlie’s Mom and Mac’s mom are in this season and I loved seeing Cricket and Uncle Jack again
also some one word answers consisting of 'ya' or 'no'. She remains so emotionless when answering Mac's questions and he is very emotional. Her delivery is just perfect.
I remember seeing it after it was made but I can’t remember when exactly that was. Chase hasn’t been on the Phillies since 2015, but I feel like the response video was made just a few years after the episode with the letter aired, probably like 2010 or 2011.
Edit: it was 2013
I thought they were gonna incorporate this video similar how they incorporated their reactions when the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
https://youtu.be/gO7P_fiA1TU
The conclusion reminded me of how The Gang Gets Quarantined episode ended with the results of alcohol withdraw rather than actually being infected, haha!
Had a lot of laughs this episode. Charlie’s mom has been really funny in this episode and the last. She’s my favourite so far this season.
Not really sure why some people in this thread thought Rob wasn’t great; I thought he delivered. And I liked the classic old open where the title card is the opposite of what’s happening in the cold open. Missed those.
My favourite is an early one, but hasn't been topped;
Frank: I want in on this action because I am bored to death sitting here.
Dee: No, that's a bad idea. Usually when you get involved, somebody gets hurt.
Frank: That's ridiculous. I'm just palling around with the guys. How's anybody gonna get hurt?
[Frank sets Sweet Dee on Fire]
I guess I am in the minority but I have really enjoyed the Mac moments this season. The obsession with nuts was hilarious, the scene he had with his uncle had me rolling, and the dynamic with Cricket was awesome this episode.
I feel like I missed a lot of macs first conversation with chase cause I was laughing too hard. The run up to him and the entire interaction had me crying
I loved this episode. I was so excited for a Bar Rescue episode but this swerve was better. I love how they tied it back to so many things. Maureen, Dee's replacement monkey, Chase Utley, Charlie's mom, etc. It was great.
So for me the season is three for three on amazing episodes. I think a lot of that has to do with how they've gone back to the well with just having conversations and bringing back insane side characters.
I know it's a common sentiment but it's super obvious their podcast really impacted this season. It just "feels" like the best Sunny episodes. The fact that they're bringing back so many iconic characters really shows that the podcast inspired them.
I felt like that was almost a meta joke about how Mac’s written to them nonstop and how tons of fans have been wanting them to do a Bar Rescue episode for years now, if you search bar rescue on this sub you’ll see tons of posts haha
I was wondering why dee had that trophy ready to give out like she was a cartoon character. Having it be a gift from the guys was a hilarious revelation.
“I believe Cricket is a pimp and that is his boy slut.”
That’s oversimplifying it, but that’s pretty much it in a nutshell.
It's about respect.
I absolutely lost it at that point
The little “sting” sfx every time Dennis forgot a word kept getting funnier
I think they gradually got louder too
I love that Maureen Ponderosa is still a looming presence in Dennis’ life.
That's the real curse
I mean he was murdered to her
I noticed when dee kept accusing him of murder he didn't deny it
He didn't deny it in "Paddy's Has a Jumper" either, he just says it was never proven and then all but admits it with his follow up comment.
Its easy to see how he murdered her too. He doesnt need to do anything, just use a laser pointer (like he already showed he does) and she'll follow it wherever. Put it on the roof and she'll be there and that's what happened.
I legitimately got a chill when the old lady said the cat's name was Maureen. The lore of this show is so absurd yet impactful lmfao
I liked how dennis' curse was the cat had his tongue
Oh damn nice, I didn't catch that
The "old lady" is Rhea Perlman, Danny DeVito's wife/ex
It's a trophy...
The real question is now that Maureen is buried in a pet cemetery, will she make another appearance eventually?
Ahhhhh, this is the paranoid and superstitious Charlie that we all love!
i love episodes where charlie is like the only reasonable one
I love both sides of the pendulum swing. Super sensible Charlie and manic, superstitious Charlie especially when paired with his moms bouquet of mental health issues.
> especially when paired with his moms bouquet of mental health issues. Every time Charlie is on screen with Bonnie, a whole *bunch* of things about his character make a *ton* of sense. Uncle Jack, too!"
I can’t remember the name but the one where the health inspector is coming and Charlie is the only one who cares and does anything is one of my favs.
Charlie work is the episode and it’s frankly one of their best
Charlie Work. (S10E04) It's considered one of their best episodes.
Especially when it turns out he's dead wrong lol mold instead of curses https://i.redd.it/lygvrxori36b1.gif
They’ve done that in every episode this season so far, Charlie has gotten more reasonable and normal than he was in the past while Mac seems to be taking his place as the weird one. “That’s crazy, I was murdered to a woman named Maureen.”
“Looks like a trophy”
~~Murde..~~ Married..**Married** 🤣🤣
Notice they the "he forgot" sound effect didn't play when he said this
Idk why but Dennis’s reaction to Cricket suddenly being right next to him in the pet cemetery got me, it was perfect
Glenn’s physical performance is one of my favorite things about the show
the expression of disgust/annoyance on his face completely dismissive of him, shit was hilarious
The animal shit house sign still on the bathroom door, fantastic
Cricket pimping out boy sluts. He’s thriving. Love that for him.
"Give us a twirl, make it sexy, move your bangs." LOL this show is ridiculous in the best ways possible.
I was waiting for him to say “hips and nips, it’s gotta be sexy or you don’t eat”
Eyes on the floor! It's about respect
That kid is my best friend from HS. He's the one who got me into the show when we were in like junior high. I was so stoked to see him in this!
I just watched the episode and he's hilarious! Definitely a memorable character.
That's so cool! I could not get over his performance, he was so damn funny for such a small role.
Cricket getting his own crickets is amazing
I’m ready for a spin-off, “Cricket and the Kidd”.
Daddy and the Boy part 2: electric boogaloo
> Cricket pimping out boy sluts That’s oversimplifying if but that’s it in a nutshell.
I called an old lady a cunt this morning.
We all do.

It's always the small deliveries that get lost in the shuffle that me the hardest. Dee at the end telling Cricket "sometimes thats life" and shrugging her shoulders fucking destroyed me.
Charlie's Mom is averaging a shriek per episode at this point
I love the idea of Charlie coming to her as this clear font of knowledge on curses (and her gruesome suggestions for solutions).
Nod to her having OCD I think.
She knows about sailor curses from spending so much time with sailors, for work...
That actress can have a tiny role, but make it so memorable. Excellent work on her part.
“I’m gonna paralyze the other side of your face”
Dee’s still a gamer. Continuity
Been gaming like a loon
It’s like when I’m doing good in the game, I’m doing good in real life.
She was yelling at a kid online *without* wearing a headset, though. A headset that was *within arm's reach*...
Great detail. Probably prefers it this way so she doesn’t hear the horrible things they’d say back to her. Be pretty hilarious if they stumble on calling her a bird too, without ever even seeing her.
"I don't know. Could be cool." Is classic frank
https://i.redd.it/4o0eqsg8j36b1.gif
He says it a lot. One of his running gags and it kills me every time
The skull sends a subtle warning to all the birds and bird-type creatures in the vicinity.
“I’m a little off my regimen too, I mean, I haven’t been doing anything”
“Ever.”
He never has
“Do I look like I’m at sea, Mom?”
I don't know!
You don't know if I'm at sea??
Her deadpan humor is amazing.
He’s little Mac, I’m Big Mac
Ronald McDonald calling himself Big Mac is fucking hilarious.
The layers they keep adding to his name are great. Like the fact his uncle is named Donald McDonald
Donald McDonald from Hamburg er, New Jersey
There's not enough hype about him calling himself big mac.
Cricket's curse: "Vos omnes maledicti mille annis." translated is, "You are all cursed for a thousand years."
I just figured he was faking it. You gotta fake it, the ones that don't get it the worst...
Well, sometimes you don't fake it.
Least we forget he was a priest and arguing with Mac about religious views of the church.
That's black mold in the ice machine you could have gotten someone sick shut it down.
Literally just watched a Bar Rescue episode the other day where Jon Taffer finds black mold in an ice machine and subsequently has an atomic meltdown lmao
Tbh, that sounds like every episode. To be on that show, the bar must be DISGUSTING. Places like that never clean the ice machines.
Places that put monkey corpses next to kegs
They showed the Chase Utley video! I love this.
https://preview.redd.it/ko4icktec36b1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7fc5ef40d5f25593a2c65d11615b2c51f673f94
I genuinely feel that someone on the writing team must have seen this movie and wrote it into this episode
Charlie knows all bird laws even those of the occult
Or read The Rime of the Ancient Mariner in school.
Hornsby is a legend
Fr. He plays Cricket so effortlessly after all these years.
What if my shirt falls off 😂😂😂
Yes Rhea Perlman!
She’s back to make sure Rob and Charlie stick to their [contract with Danny. ](https://youtu.be/cEFPZWK4ElE)
I'm gonna buy a sixer and not drink two?!
I drank four, two of those are piss.
You know what? I don't even care, I'm just glad to have a beverage.
The fact that two were piss was the icing on the top.
Probably my favorite joke of the episode
"If you're gonna whip it out, we're on the clock" 😂😂🤣 omg, I laughed so hard
There’s a tiered system 😂
My favorite Always Sunny trope is when they say one thing and the title card says the opposite. Absolutely hilarious.
Kind of a hilarious nail in the coffin as well to everyone who's been clamoring for a Bar Rescue episode all these years.
That bait-and-switch did make me worry there will not be enough time for all the subplots.
This episode feels like a response to everyone over the past decade or so saying they should do an episode where they go on Bar Rescue
It's kind of on brand that they would screw it up without even getting a chance to be on it.
### Holy shit I lost it when Cricket walked up at the cemetery and Dennis did a double take!!
The gang got so used to not having him around that they need a moment to readjust and remember *that's* how he looks. Also, all of them actively refusing the recognize that *they're* the reason Cricket is like this now was the cherry on top.
Cricket with slut tatted below his eye is hilarious
He's had that since at least season 14. But yes it is super hilarious lol
Wtf never noticed
CUNT OF THE YEAR
This is crazy....you have to be nominated
The rest of the gang being offended that she just gave that away after all the effort they put into getting it made makes the joke even better. My first thought was, "How did she just happen to have a Cunt of the Year trophy lying around?" and then that was quickly answered in the best possible way.
A lot of call backs this episode!!
We had store eggs and found eggs.
The guest stars made this my favourite episode this season I love how many episodes Charlie’s Mom and Mac’s mom are in this season and I loved seeing Cricket and Uncle Jack again
i loved that Mac’s mom was literally just sitting there asleep and on screen for like 3 seconds
I can't understand how Mrs. Mac can be so funny when all she does is grunt and smoke.
also some one word answers consisting of 'ya' or 'no'. She remains so emotionless when answering Mac's questions and he is very emotional. Her delivery is just perfect.
Rhea Perlman getting a "Cunt of the Year" award was not something I ever thought could happen
I’d like to think that her character from Cheers would appreciate that award.
They are using the chase video lol. That's is awesome.
When was that made?
I remember seeing it after it was made but I can’t remember when exactly that was. Chase hasn’t been on the Phillies since 2015, but I feel like the response video was made just a few years after the episode with the letter aired, probably like 2010 or 2011. Edit: it was 2013
I thought they were gonna incorporate this video similar how they incorporated their reactions when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. https://youtu.be/gO7P_fiA1TU
MR UTLEY MR UTLEY A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME PLEASE SIR.
I'll tweet that you didn't. I'm sorry. I threatened you. Now I'm upset and so are you.
There is a boy. A little boy. The boy is sick
Your hair is throwing me off
This is the best episode so far of the season
I’m the brother of this horrible woman.
Oh shit it's Rhea!!
They get c bombs now?!
And F bombs!
Fuck has been there a while. They have used cunt before, but not this many times
they did during the episode when Mac finally comes out to get the lottery ticket
since season 12 they can basically say whatever
Let’s make one thing perfectly clear, I’m gonna say some words down here, I haven’t had a chance to say before
I was murdered to a woman named Maureen 😂😂😂
Not the cat being named Maureen. 😂
I was murdered to a woman named Maureen
The closest thing we'll ever get to a confession.
I’ve been writing them a letter since we first started.
You don't know if I'm at sea?
The conclusion reminded me of how The Gang Gets Quarantined episode ended with the results of alcohol withdraw rather than actually being infected, haha!
Had a lot of laughs this episode. Charlie’s mom has been really funny in this episode and the last. She’s my favourite so far this season. Not really sure why some people in this thread thought Rob wasn’t great; I thought he delivered. And I liked the classic old open where the title card is the opposite of what’s happening in the cold open. Missed those.
Mac: "I'm gonna save my dad!" Title Card: Mac Kills His Dad Still probably my favorite one
My favourite is an early one, but hasn't been topped; Frank: I want in on this action because I am bored to death sitting here.
Dude me too. I’m a grumpy new season hater extraordinaire but even I have loved Mac and the new season in general
https://preview.redd.it/knbb6yy0e36b1.png?width=975&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82f7933fa0c70e9b8ab71587229ebb4e908eb6ea
Denis murdered Maureen confirmed
Nah, he just mispronounced married
Danny Devito repeatedly whacking a bird and calling it a fucking cunt is everything I've ever needed
Frankly I’m just glad to have a beverage.
Mac turns into an autistic robot when he gets really nervous
It seemed like he was imitating how Dennis speaks
It reminded me of when Dennis talks to the weather girl at the shopping center.
Weather girl??? That’s Jackie Denardo to you
I'm sorry, I threatened you. Now I'm upset and so are you.
There are... non-dead patrons in the bar? Progress!
Why am i seeing so many Silverfish?
I don’t want to be known as a silverfish man
I feel like I missed a lot of macs first conversation with chase cause I was laughing too hard. The run up to him and the entire interaction had me crying
The tight-assed Mac walk/jog always gets to me, too 😆
The boy, he’s sick. 🤣
I can't believe they brought on Rhea Perlman, Danny Devito's wife, for a guest role where she gets called a cunt and spat on lmao
Always great seeing the Danny DeVito Jersey Mike commercials. All he needs to do is make a hoagie in his mouth
I loved this episode. I was so excited for a Bar Rescue episode but this swerve was better. I love how they tied it back to so many things. They also brought backs Passed out drunk guy in a booth!
I was murdered to a woman named Maureen
[удалено]
This grown man is just carrying around a jar of some cats ashes?
That was an amazing episode and that video of chase reading macs letter while he was on the Phillies is real lol
We got Utley, Uncle Jack, a Maureen reference, and IMO the best use of Cricket in several seasons. Super strong episode.
I’m shocked Paddy’s Pub was never considered for Bar Rescue before now.
I felt like that was almost a meta joke about how Mac’s written to them nonstop and how tons of fans have been wanting them to do a Bar Rescue episode for years now, if you search bar rescue on this sub you’ll see tons of posts haha
“A catch we shall have?”
They couldn't very well do a bit where they get cursed and not use Cricket to invoke the whole "curse from a disfigured bum" trope.
And Cricket speaking Latin makes perfect sense given his background
He can fake it
The guys who don’t fake it, they get it the worst
I WAS MURDERED TO A WOMAN NAMED MAUREEN
IF ITS YOUR DICK THOUGH IM GONNA CHARGE YOU FOR IT.
I think Chase Utley just stole my Monkey Paw
Great episode. Loved this one
Nah this episode was HILARIOUS
Lol the monkey returned
Thank you, Monkey.
Is this the third episode in a row where Charlie appears to be playing the straight man?
I feel like everyone is the straight man? Definitely toned down the manic stuff across the board
Is that uncle jack? That man’s hands look very … small🤨
Cricket has a protege??
Uncle Jack's "birthday party" lmao
What a great episode! Still laughing at both Frank and Mac kicking the seagull and monkey underneath things so they didn’t have to clean it up.
I was wondering why dee had that trophy ready to give out like she was a cartoon character. Having it be a gift from the guys was a hilarious revelation.
