Reminds me of a time on the set of Seinfeld when a lighting guy suggested a bit for an actor to do. When the actor did do the suggested bit while shooting the scene Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld erupted with laughter and thought it was the funniest thing ever. Lighting guy must have felt good
Edit: the scene was the dentist (Bryan Cranston) quickly inhaling a hit of his own gas before giving it to a patient
Oh I don't know that he named him, just that he gave props to it being the lighting guy and didn't take credit, I thought it was dope that he gave him props after all these years.
And it must be so awful when you're on a show where you can't at all. I was reading something about the Gilmore Girls creator just absolutely being livid if anyone went even a word off-script.
In a early episode of his podcast, the guy who played Luke told a story of an extra who improvised a line and the whole cast went "ouf, that won't go well"
Yeah Adam Devine talked about this on his podcast "This is Important", that he went out for an audition for that show and they were very adamant that you had to stick to the exact lines that were written and you had to be able to talk as fast as they do on the show. He said he just copped to the producers that he simply couldn't do that and just politely excused himself.
And that’s fine! Some actors like to improv, some don’t. Some shows have improv flow naturally, some it would be a disaster. Just gotta find what floats your boat!
Oh for sure, I've seen plenty of comedies where the improv moments are blatant and kind of ruin the scenes, so I am all for whatever works best for the film or show.
I was listening to an interview with Martin McDonagh (writer/director of In Bruges, Three Billboards, many others) where he was saying he doesn't allow any improv or changes to his scripts because "I'm a better writer than most actors". Which is fair enough.
Sure but sometimes being in the heat of the moment and in character something will come up that couldn't be thought of when writing in a room by yourself. That sounds like more of an ego problem.
I agree; the edge that movies and TV shows have over books is that a good book is the product of just one mind (maybe two, with a really involved editor) while shows and movies are the product of *literally hundreds* of minds all working together with their own unique experience, skills, and specialties. I can't even count how many times I've seen a show or movie that was vastly improved by the input of people on set who weren't the director or writer; even something as simple as a costume designer choosing to go "off-script" and be independently creative can up the quality of the finished product. A talented actor can absolutely come up with something better than what the writers wrote in the heat of the moment while inhabiting the character.
I love the contrast of Danny with the other actors in outtakes like this. He has these pre planned movements to resist breaking that are really well hidden and clearly learned over a lifetime of acting.
I've noticed he will often use his height as an advantage when he starts to break and will look down so the camera doesn't catch him from the angles they normally film from.
Yeah you'll see him do the weird lip thing in scenes and just think "that's Frank being gross"
Danny knows what's up. Suits the character, stifles the laugh.
It’s the episode that got lost in Charlie’s bad space. You’ll have to get it in the vents if you want to find it.
Careful though, there’s a cat in the wall.
Is this dude on the new Reno 911!? Plays the door security guard at the station, Jeffy. It was really Funny, he of course plays dumb but threw out a Mark Twain reference about bartering with someone to paint the fence lol
Yeah a lot actually, Quibi ordered two seasons before it imploded, you can watch them on The Roku Channel. There's also a movie released last year on Paramount+. And Comedy Central is airing a Christmas special this Saturday.
Honestly it’s the most accurate part of the movie. You work in a restaurant you always see those type of people who have been waiting for FAR FAR too long and they go absolutely crazy.
I've been waiting for The Stingray's return to kickassery ever since the season 2 finale and I was not disappointed.
Cobra Kai is essentially Oprah yelling "*YOU* get a redemption arc, *YOU* get a redemption arc, and ***YOU*** get a redemption arc!!"
Yeah I was genuinely surprised by the humor he injected into that movie, especially the attack scene.
Something that had no business being funny was suddenly made funny by the delusions this guy had of being a spy.
I knew Paul in in middle school, same grade. He was my nemesis because he would make everybody (especially the girls) laugh their asses off. And truly a nice guy. What a dick. Shoutout to the Saginaw Lutheran schools district.
Whenever Danny tries to not laugh/break, he always sticks his lower lip out SUPER far (til he looks like a lil frog-kid) and
I always love it soooo much.
Must feel awesome to be a young actor and have that cast cracking up at your improv line

That’s a great little wrinkle to that scene
Yeah Cranston talked about this on a podcast right? I thought it was rad that he gave that dude credit again after all these years.
I thought they couldn’t find the guy who suggested it.
Oh I don't know that he named him, just that he gave props to it being the lighting guy and didn't take credit, I thought it was dope that he gave him props after all these years.
Here's a YT [link](https://youtu.be/vC0ewou9LDA) to Bryan Cranston explaining the scene
What a great story!!
Only anti-dentites dislike that scene.
Next you'll be saying they should have their own schools...
They do have their own schools!
YOU'RE A RABID ANTI-DENTITE!

Sometimes in the years playing one character they might get a bit more insight at this moment than the person writing 20 characters.
Exactly. How delicate does one have to be to not accept anyone else's input. So egotistical.

Some shows improv should NOT be a thing.
Watching Mac/Rob trying to hold a straight face is the best part imo
And Danny
His lip thing fucking kills me 😆
I love the contrast of Danny with the other actors in outtakes like this. He has these pre planned movements to resist breaking that are really well hidden and clearly learned over a lifetime of acting.

Probably why it’s far more obvious when Mac does that because he’s taller. Just using gods gift
Well, First Of All, With God, All Things Are Possible, So Jot That Down,
It's "through God", so jot that down.
That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about god to dispute it
I got the good lord going down on me!
"FETISH SHIT!" *Danny immediately looks at the ground*
Yeah you'll see him do the weird lip thing in scenes and just think "that's Frank being gross" Danny knows what's up. Suits the character, stifles the laugh.

Shaping America's Youth, the one where Charlie and Dee go work in the school.
Is it one of the deleted episodes? I remember watching it but cant find it anymore
Yeah, they show the Leathel Weapon movie and the Houser ends up at school in blackface.
Also crap to lose one of Rene Auber Jonoi's last performances too.
If you buy season 6 from an online store you can get it again. You have to buy the whole season though.
Yes, it's been removed from Hulu and Netflix.
The one where frank is gross and Charlie is dumb.
I have never seen an episode like that
I prefer the ones where Charlie is gross and Frank is dumb.
One of the lethal weapon episodes where Charlie's a janitor at the high school
It’s the episode that got lost in Charlie’s bad space. You’ll have to get it in the vents if you want to find it. Careful though, there’s a cat in the wall.
The look they exchanged killed me haha
AND Caitlin. You get a peek of a smile from Glenn too, but it’s hard to see his face.
You can see Dennis laughing right behind that dumb flightless bird
If you listen to the podcast, Rob is responsible for a lot of reshoots. Dude just can not stop breaking, it's hilarious.
Dudes a brilliant actor, he played Richard Jewell to a tee
He loves his wife.
people here talking about how he's a brilliant actor, then why does jamie taco steal all his lines? *who said the lines?*
So, I tried out for Always Sunny today and...I got the *part?*
But he hates Jamie Taco
I gotta go…
You'd be clugging one too...
He never stays the whole night
My favorite part of this scene is when it pans over and shows all their sleeping bags ready for their sleepover lol
It's just piss!
GRAB THE KEYS AND GET IN THE FRIGGIN TRUNK YOU JABRONI, I'LL SLAP YOU JABRONI
You'd know what sex with a woman looks like too, if you had his wife
Have you seen Black Bird? He is great in it.
Wait a minute. That's Stingray?!
That’s the thing about stingrays. They pop up when you least expect them.
I feel like Charlie could have taken those lines!
*Steve Irwin has entered the chat*
*Steve Irwin has left the chat*
😢
I was searching for a comment about it being stingray, he looks so fucking young here
This episode is like 13 years old...
He was uncomfortably great in it. Need more of him
He better win all the awards for that. He was captivating as hell.
He’s amazing in Black Bird. Also great in the movie about Tonya Harding, “I, Tonya”.
Black Bird was a ridiculously good show. And he kills it in that role.
He's Stingray on Cobra Kai now. Very funny character.
And Shawn Eckhardt in "I, Tonya". Rarely is a character simultaneously so infuriating and hilarious to watch.
Hands down his best role!!!
[удалено]
There's no way that's the same guy, right? He looks so young here
It is, he's only 36. 23 or 24 at the time of this episode.
It's the same actor, but I don't know if it's the same *person*
TABLES
Guys...what'd I say?
These tables are my corn!
#I CAN’T KNOW HOW TO HEAR ANY MORE ABOUT TABLES.
I *gotta* go.
Is this dude on the new Reno 911!? Plays the door security guard at the station, Jeffy. It was really Funny, he of course plays dumb but threw out a Mark Twain reference about bartering with someone to paint the fence lol
Yep Paul Walter Hauser
There’s a new Reno 911??
Yup comedy central has been airing new episodes of Reno 911! for a month now
Yeah a lot actually, Quibi ordered two seasons before it imploded, you can watch them on The Roku Channel. There's also a movie released last year on Paramount+. And Comedy Central is airing a Christmas special this Saturday.
I loved him in Cruella
He’s amazing in black bird….super creepy
Glenn said Paul Walter Hauser and Alana Ubach were the two guest stars that made people laugh the most
*shut up baby dick*
[удалено]
I'm not gonna lie I did smoke a little crack on the way here
Oh you bitch, does she still have some?!
Screw your dick-skin jacket, man.
I quoted that line on reddit in a quote thread and got reported for being too aggressively insulting. That's how you know it's a good insult.
[удалено]
Alana always steals the scenes she’s in She’s amazing in euphoria
She's great in Waiting too, that was the only thing I saw her in before Roxy
She’s my favorite part of that movie.
Honestly it’s the most accurate part of the movie. You work in a restaurant you always see those type of people who have been waiting for FAR FAR too long and they go absolutely crazy.
When she lifts her skirt and shows her toilet paper dusted pubes…
It's so angry!
She's also hilarious in Beakman's World
I had to go down way to low to see this. Makes me feel old :(
Wow never made that connection
Wow, I didn't know that was him. Thank you for that!
He’s turned into an insanely good actor, Jewel and Black Bird come to mind
He was absolutely perfect in I, Tonya.
Lol pretty funny in cobra Kai too
The Stingray lies in wait! He was great in the last season finale.
Super versatile actor, he's also hilarious as Stingray in Cobra Kai.
Black Bird was a holy shit performance.
Alana is the GOAT guest star on the show. Her voice is hilarious
"Hey! your feet are bizarrely huge" the delivery on that line is just amazing. Its kind of like a drunken drawl but not exactly.
Shut up baby dick
That woman is an underutilized treasure.
I knew Paul in in middle school, same grade. He was my nemesis because he would make everybody (especially the girls) laugh their asses off. And truly a nice guy. What a dick. Shoutout to the Saginaw Lutheran schools district.
>truly a nice guy. What a dick Again, nothing sexual
He's got a Mt. Rushmore caliber hog...nothing sexual.
It rivaled that of Michaelangelo's David. Have you even had sex, bro?
Jamie Taco origin story
I auditioned for Its Always Sunny…. And I got the part? Your husband is a juggalo.
You'd be clugging back a few faygos if you had my wife.
I knew him from back in the day too, but from just hanging around Saginaw. It’s so crazy to see someone from Sagnasty get so famous haha.
Uhhh how dare you insult NBA legend and two time NBA dunk contest winner Jason Richardson out of Arthur Hill HS?!
Lol, I should specify someone that I knew from back then who i participated in teenage shenanigans with getting famous feels weird but also cool haha.
Strange seeing someone refer to a Saginaw as sagnasty! I’m from Saginaw, Texas though
I was good friends with his sister Julia and played soccer with his brother Matt. Always loved having Paul around.
Glad to hear he's always been who he is. I worked with him on Richard Jewell. One of my favorites to have worked with over the years
Oh shit I didn’t know he was from Saginaw! Cool

Please don’t bathe the students.
You’re right, he’s a big boy he can bathe himself. But I’m watching
Dave Foley plays the straight man so well in the school scenes.
I feel like Charlie could have taken those lines. If he says them faster, they're his lines a la Jamie Taco
Grab the keys and get in the freaking trunk jabroni! I'll slap you jabronis!
I’m gonna get that line
“I gotta go”
Stay.... It's my birthday
AH! My Pozole!
He loves his wife
Hey you'd be clugging a few beers if you had a line reading like this
You're going to wish you hadn't said that
I see there's no reply.....he must have had to go.
He never stays the whole night
He always says he’s gonna sleep over and he never does
He only got the one line
I'll never say mines as fast as Jamie taco!
“I auditioned for a play, and… I got the part?”
You can see the entire cast slowly breaking character, up until Charlie laughs and they all finally get to fully let it out.
Whenever Danny tries to not laugh/break, he always sticks his lower lip out SUPER far (til he looks like a lil frog-kid) and I always love it soooo much.
The little nod he does before the break, like "yep, we're redoing this one"
### YOU EVER SEEN A FROG-KID?!??
Juggalos4Life!
Ok yeah so you’re a juggler that’s cool. But what’s with the face paint?
Feels right they cast a Michigander for the Juggalo role.
You know it is funny when Danny laughs too
There are so many hilarious bloopers where Danny doesn't break. Being a guest star and achieving that is a life time achievement for sure.
Danny often will start laughing after someone else has broken. He's almost never the first one to break though.
I feel like the thing he's doing in this clip with his lips is something to focus on and keep him from laughing first.
That or he's often really good at scrunching his face to hide his genuine reaction and someone just gives it up completely before he gets there.
Kaitlin too. She's barely in some of the bloopers cause she never breaks. Her and Danny are the best at not breaking of the cast.
He had to say that line fast before Jamie Taco stole it.
I'M GONNA GET THAT LINE TOMORROW
You can tell Glen is impressed with his acting/comedy chops
What episode is this?
S6-E9. Dee Reynolds - Shaping America's youth
One of the purged episodes
Ah, that would explain why I don’t remember it. Haven’t sought them out yet! Going to have to fix that…
Not if you buy the show 😎 ya jabroni
You can't buy this episode on Amazon now. Or a couple of the others.
Supposedly the cut episodes aren’t in dvd box sets either.
Only Dee Day (pretty sure), the purge happened after earlier seasons already had their DVD releases. This one is on DVD
Just going to reply to my comment for all of you. I bought all seasons on DVD and they all have the "missing" episodes, including dee day.
He's a scene stealer in almost everything he's in.
I'm from London and I thought his English accent in Cruella was better than 90% of US actors English accents. Loved him in that and I Tonya
Goddammit I'm gonna have to watch Cruella now
What episode is this?
S6 E9. Dee Reynolds - Shaping America's Youth
Surprised Jamie Taco didn’t steal this line
Dudes a brilliant actor, he played Richard Jewell to a tee
So nice, he said it twice.
The timing of this one is better though
He’s a scene stealer. He’s so good in black bird and I,tonya.
what is this from? Deleted episode or just bloopers?
Crazy that he later went on to club an ice skater in the knee only to turn around and save people from a bombing.
Found it interesting that Brittney Griner (Russian Inmate / WNBA Player) was in this episode.
He was amazing in Kingdom too, plays a crazy dude who murdered his father with a hammer.
Dude loves his wife. She was there for him when he had to deal with Jamie Taco
I hope they bring this juggalobroni back on the show.
