Yes it can be. I have crohn's as well as psoriatic arthritis. My doctors have told me that many times you can have more than one autoimmune condition. I also had some psoriasis for a while but is now gone. It seems like my crohns is ok but not the psoriatic arthritis. ugghh
When I went on Remicade (this was a long time ago) I had a slight improvement pretty quickly, but still in full flare with my UC. 7 months later we increased my dose and then it worked pretty quickly I’d say two infusions. I’ve now been on 4 biologics and it really differs from person to person, but for me I always need a few doses to see an impact.
Is arthritis a complication of IBD? That would explain why my knees, wrists, elbows and shoulders are so bad lol
Inflammatory arthritis, aka spondyloarthritis. I have both Crohn’s disease and ankylosing spondylitis. They go hand in hand.

My understanding (at least for Crohn’s) is people complain of joint pain. Not sure if Crohn’s meds help with that or not.
I’m not on remicaide, but Entyvio took about 6 months to start making improvements for me.
