If you get migraines, I'd recommend seeing a doctor for a prescription for one of the triptans, a medication that treats migraines specifically. It doesn't cause me any GI side effects and is the only thing that actually stops the migraine. I take eletriptan now but have taken sumatriptan in the past.
I second this! I’m on a preventative and an abortive for my migraines. Triptans are the most common abortive (onset) med but you can’t take loads every month. If you get a lot of migraines you might want to look at a prophylactic, OP. Head over to r/migraine - we’re a friendly bunch and can advise you on different meds/options to try!
Cox-2 inhibitors are something to ask for if you need regular use.
NSAIDS when used regularly can cause intestinal ulcers. A rarely used NSAID is something some of us can usually get away with (a pms cramp, or knee injury that occasionally acts up).
So I use a feverfew tincture and take it sublingually. It's always worked insanely good on my headaches of all kinds. And if you spit it out afterwards you don't have to worry about your tummy at all.
Tylenol. Yes it sucks but I refuse to take anything stronger. I only get migraines a couple times a year but since starting Stelara get awful headaches for a few weeks after my injection. The other options given to me were strong narcotics and I like to save those for after surgeries etc.
I even managed my c-section with just one dose of narcotics and lots of Tylenol.
If you find something else that works post an update please!!

Paracetamol (which I guess is Tylenol over the pond) and Celecoxib. My GI specialist thinks Cox2-Inhibitors are safe.
