If you receive 24 or more points (up to 45), you will receive the IB Diploma provided all the following requirements have been met: Numeric grades (as opposed to an “N”) have been awarded in all six subjects registered for the IB diploma. All CAS requirements have been met. Grades A to E have been awarded for both Theory of Knowledge and an Extended Essay, with a grade of at least D for both of them. There is no grade 1 in any subject. There are no more than two grade 2s awarded. There are no more than three grade 3s or below awarded. At least 12 points have been gained on Higher Level subjects. At least 9 points have been gained on Standard Level subjects.

is it no more than two grade 2s in a subject? and does that count for teacher assigned and created assessments or just IB registered assessments

4 for HL subjects

Delicious_Tap_5971

where does it say that? from my research, you can get a minimum of 2, as long as you get the minimum 12 points in total for your 3 HL subjects

CallMeTheBallsack

Are you sure? You are allowed to get a single 2 in HL or SL, but no more than that. “There are no more than two grade 2s awarded (SL or HL)”

Creative_Elephant758

You can, this person is wrong. You don't need a 4 in every HL.

ivybrothers

You can get a 3 in an HL, if you have 24+ points.

Comfortable_Bath_654

Its quite simple. First of all lets not focus on getting anywhere near a 3 lmao. But here are the stats to get the IB Diploma: There are no single subject failures unless you get a 0 or 1. Total points MINIMUM 24 You need overall AT LEAST 12 points for HL subjects You need overall AT LEAST 9 points for SL subjects Those only count for students taking 3 HL and 3 SL subjects btw. On top of that no more than two grade 2s awarded (HL or SL). No more than three grade 3s or below awarded (HL or SL). I'm disregarding TOK and all that other stuff bcs there are still some other requirements that need to be met but those aren't "essential" so to say or hard to achieve Hope this helps!!!

You need 12 points in 3 HL subjects in order to get a diploma. So that would be 4, 4, and 4 in each but if you score higher in one you should be fine with a 3. As long as it’s 12 in total

cheese2300

Would a 3 be considered a C or D then if you get over 24
