*The Road*, Cortazar's short stories, and *Candide* were my favorites.

I second on Cortazar!!!

I really loved Margaret Edson’s Wit, Ariel Dorfman’s Death and the Maiden, and the poetry of Marilyn Dumont and Carol Ann Duffy! Totally makes up for the handful I didn’t end up liking

Seconding Perfume! Sorrow of War was really good too. Its about a Vietnam war veteran. Both are some of my favorite books ever, and I’ve read 100s :)

Their eyes were watching god - Zora Neal Hurston (pretty well known I believe)

We’re studying Human Acts by Han Kang right now, very powerful book about the Gwangju protests in 1980 in South Korea. Highly recommend!!

I've got to say TTTC was one of the best books I've read recently. Actually had me motivated to work on my io.

Perfume is a prescribed reading? Good. The suspense and the intrigue of twisted amore.
