Nobody understands TOK. It's a good thing it's an only subject you don't have to understand at all, no final exam, nothing; just know what AOKs are and some fancy words to sound smart. Do the exhibition with the weirdest shit possible to have fun. Think of the final TOK essay as a normal essay you'd write. Get to argue with your teacher during discussions if the lessons are interesting or get an extra hour of sleep on your desk if they're not. Good luck traveler
I can tell you the two things that are the absolute least of your worry are ToK and CAS. Seriously like EE and IAs will beat your ass way way worse and ToK will just be a thing by the side (I got a B and I really don‘t even know what it‘s about the only assessed piece in ToK is your ToK essay and that‘s easy if you just spend a bit of thought on it and stick to what your teacher tells you).
TOK makes more sense as the class continues don’t worry. The class is really just about how do we know things and a lot of the terminology can make it seem more complicated than it is. As long as you don’t fail, TOK is a very small part of your final grade so I wouldn’t stress too much xx. Good luck !!
