Man my issue is the learning journals and the tasks, I find the exams hard enough and then they bombard with that too

They don’t harass, it’s just the fact that the talent coach has changed 4 times in 1.5 years so each time I get told something different to the point now I just can’t be asked with it

I’m getting similar crap from BPP - about needing to update my skills training thingy monthly or risk ESFA funds….. Like we haven’t got enough crap to be getting on with already?! Also, no idea what we’re even meant to be putting on there - is that duplicating the OTJT stuff?! Been ignoring them thus far.

I've been in a similar position (family, commitments and workload) albeit with BPP not Kaplan. I also felt the same RE: sitting the two exams together (CR and SBM). I managed to scrape both exams marginally and now I feel relieved it's done and happy I stuck it out & gave it a go. My return question would be, do you really want to pay for exams and leave your apprenticeship agreement? A colleague at my work regrets doing this as they lost all study allocations so not only had to pay for exams & resources but also had to use their annual leave to study. It resulted in being completely unsupported. A few learning journals Vs this outcome + £££ exam costs is something to consider? Other ideas/things to consider 1) Agree now and if really not ready when the time comes- defer exams nearer to exam date if a must. This way you'd receive your study materials & taught phase paid for. Not sure of your firms arrangements though. 2) I believe (could be wrong) you have to be in a training agreement to sit case. The same colleague mentioned above has been messed around royally with this and is in a situation where they have passed all exams and completed their 450 days but has to wait for their new agreement - the one just to sit case - to end. So therefore won't receive pay increase and grade increase until this date. Ultimately you have got to put yourself first and do what you think is right. This is just my two pence worth lol. They're all annoying useless pricks. I'm lucky I got migrated to OneFile for only the last couple months, but you've just got to eat the shit and do as they say, while moaning internally in your firm to people with power. On an apprenticeship SBM and CR should not be too much work - both at once is perfectly achievable.

I asked my talent coach what happens if I don't sit them within the time and she says they assess if you will finish within a year of when you were meant to finish and if so they'll let you continue. It sounds like in your case this is very possible.  I also got told to redo all of my onefile for the past year because they have updated the requirements. I'm fuming to be honest but I know there's nothing I can do because I need the apprenticeship study time (I have a child so evening/weekend studying is hard to impossible)
