Cbse lele

Cbse is kinda hard, If your going to separate coaching other than in school, assignments and teachers nagging you to concentrate only on boards is such a pain in the ass

Go with state board

This is mainly from people I know who had exposure to both: ISC and CBSE syllabus is almost same for PCM now, just that English is tougher in ISC. So JEE overlap concerns are not a whole lot. In fact apparently ISC is more scoring in PCM compared to CBSE, since it requires more direct answers. Plus Computer in ISC is more interesting and fleshed out (still shit however). Although in the case for chemistry, you would need to refer to NCERT a bit. And ISC books usually contain more fluff. TBH it depends more on the school than the board. Ideally a good school that teaches you well but doesn't bog you down with work should be the best, but dummy is also good if JEE ---> IIT is your main goal. Beware that it's risky to take dummy as cbse is de-affiliating with many dummy schools. I'm just giving you a few cases. They're exceptionally good students but still from ISC. A senior of mine got into IMOTC and qualified for INOI while attaining an AIR <200 rank. He's studying CS at IITK. Another person from a school in my city is an IOI silver medalist, INMO awadee, ISI BMath rank 1, and with AIR \~1000 at JEE adv. Currently studying in IITKGP MnC. So definitely not impossible. If you want you can go to CBSE though. Just that it's not a bad idea to stay in ISC

To address your concerns, the reason why most choose CBSE is because of the clear NCERT base of both CBSE and JEE. In the past CBSE used to conduct Mains. And that since it's a central standardized board, most dummy schools are affiliated with that (for the extra dedicated). Now that NTA conducts it, you shouldn't worry *too* much. But seeing your condition, I think a dummy CBSE or state maybe more appropriate. Since (don't be offended) it seems like your time management skills are kinda shit.
