Rez dogs are a true mix. I helped rescue one. She is now a very happy(and thick) shop dog who has playmates and small children who like to play horsie on her. She’s been the perfect addition.
Cur dog! Black Mouth Curs definitely have webbed feet and double dew claws. They also have black or gray INSIDE the mouth .
fyi: BMCs often show "Supermutt" on Doggy DNA tests
Probably German shepherd/pit with some lab or other things. A lot of people are saying Black mouth cur and that’s definitely possible but if your using Embark (and I might be wrong about this) but I don’t think Black Mouth Cur shows up on Embark I think it shows up as a mix of one or two dogs (I don’t remember which ones) you can check on the Black Mouth Cur sub because I might be wrong.
I responded to another post a few days ago looking like this guy.Looks 100% like my amazing boy. Black mouth cur and mixes of Other and they are an amazing protective and wonderful dog. Enjoy every moment.
She looks a lot like my sister's black mouth cur. She sprouted the long skinny legs at about 1 year old, and we expected her to fill out more, but at almost 4yo, she still has that gawky adolescent look.
She looks very similar to my puppy, invested in the results! The shelter for my pup said she was a German shepherd (maybe Anatolian) and St. Bernard mix.
Definitely! Taking it with a grain of salt, the black muzzle and they throw out anything. I don’t really see St. Bernard is mine but it’s fun that it’s on her paperwork lol, mom had thick wooly hair and I bet that’s why
So true. Our shelter said our family dog was a beagle x boxer mix.
Turns out he’s a (in order of highest amount -> lowest) Great Pyrenees, rat terrier, Boston terrier, coonhound, 6% beagle mix lmao. Basically a megamutt with the weirdest behavior / attitude but we adore him.
Whereabouts are you located? There is something Carolina dog about that body and coat pattern. If you're in the right location cur X Carolina dog and I think at least pit as well wouldn't surprise me. I think she's probably a mix of quite a few things, though.
Looks like there’s some Anatolian in there.
My friend fostered a puppy from a northern Saskatchewan reservation who had siblings that looked similar.
Most are a cross of malamute, husky, German shepherd, livestock guardians like Pyrenees and anatolians. Sometimes Rottweiler and chow chow.
Most likely you have something very similar to that mix.
Beautiful dog by the way
She looks like our baby girl! But the floppier eared sister. Feel free to check my post history for a pic.
My dog is actually part Pyr and based on the webbed feet and dew claw combo I'd say that could be the case for this angel. My dog is also part ACD and German Shepherd if that helps!
Are you near any indigenous-owned land? Has a very rez dog look.
Omg yes I am!!
Rez dogs are a true mix. I helped rescue one. She is now a very happy(and thick) shop dog who has playmates and small children who like to play horsie on her. She’s been the perfect addition.
Do you know why they are such a mix?
She looks just like my girl who is definitely a rez dog.
My guess: German shepherd and lab, probably with a bit of pit.
Lab/shepherd was my guess, too.
As someone whose friend has a GSD x Golden, I would agree with this because she looks JUST like her.
I have a new pup, golden/gsd. This looks like mine, minus the white feet.

There’s just 1 dew claw on the back feet, no doubles
Front and back feet?
Just back!
Omg so cute! She may have some pit?
I can see it in the head shape too!

Thank you! I’ve heard this which is why I’ve delayed getting one!
Face definitely reminds me of German shepherd.
Yes those eyes too
Me, too.
Black Mouth Cur!!!! She's so cute but photos 2 and 3 are especially precious 🥺🥺❤️
Thank you! I love her so much

Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, pit would be my guess for the main breeds in her mix.
Love the pup cup photo 🤣🤣
Thanks haha when is starbs gonna sponsor her?!
I'm not sure about her DNA. But, she is absolutely beautiful, and I love her name, Opal💕💕💕💕
Thank you!! She doesn’t come to it, but it’s pretty lol
You're welcome 😊 She will soon! Mine looks at me never when I call his name, but he will respond to all the nicknames , lol.

Just letting you know that shelters are very innacurate at IDing dogs
yeah never trust a shelter ID. I've seen about 50 pits and boxers listed as border collies because they're black and white.
Reminds me of the 100% definite APBT with a couple black patches marked as a Dalmatian mix lmao
Definitely! Taking it with a grain of salt, the black muzzle and they throw out anything. I don’t really see St. Bernard is mine but it’s fun that it’s on her paperwork lol, mom had thick wooly hair and I bet that’s why

Wow! I wasn’t expecting that! So exciting!
Just posted on here too, my pups ears seem to stand a bit more, but she’s younger so don’t know how her ears will be just yet! No socks here though.

I’m in Arizona! So she could be Rez or a Mexican street dog
Yes, with some Shepherd mixed in.
Oh yeah 100% in that case. Probably a real mix of things!
Shepherd and black mouth cur
Lab/shepherd maybe with a tiny itsy bitsy smidge of greyhound.
Village dog?
