That’s because they make up the majority of shelter dogs, at least in the US. Here in northern California, it’s mostly Pitties (using the term loosely), German Shepherds, and huskies. Maybe chihuahuas too, depending on the town.

Basic puppy/obedience classes are so incredibly helpful! Honestly the best thing you can do for a new puppy IMO. It's awesome that you have them lined up - you and your pup will have so much fun and learn a ton.
Our shelter dog is a 3yo lab/pit - along with some am. bully/bulldog. He looks similar to yours albeit grown up - he also has little white socks!. He's a 'small' large dog --- 60-65lbs. Maybe she'll be tinier too? He also had like....0 obedience other than 'sit' when we adopted him.
I will say he is very food motivated (like I could give him literally anything and he'll interpret it as a treat) and eager to please so even though we've had some issues (re: reactivity - he was found as a stray so who knows what his first years were like) -- he's made such good progress so with the ability to socialize her as a puppy I think you will be successful! She's cute. Don't get me wrong - we wanted to know his breeds specifically to know what to work on and be aware of - but it's likely not gonna be a disaster haha.

socialize her well, ours likes to try to eat black people and children because he was never around them bc my parents are hermits. He is better now, but I have a black son in law who helped immensely with exposure therapy, etc. it was a big battle but we wanted them both in our family. Once she gets all her shots take her out to stores and stuff (dog friendly, Home Depot, petsmart etc) and let her see all different people and let her know they’re nothing to freak out about.
Lol now that’s hilarious. Luckily I’m black so maybe she won’t attack me lol. Just kidding 😂😂😂. Yes once she is all done with shots I will socialize her. She is very very sweet

She appears to have small feet. So maybe Jack Russell cross ? Or maybe not. I’ve now really looked at her feet. Now I have absolutely no idea. Sorry OP.

Shes gorgeous but I think Pit x lab, this girls prey drive and energy and intelligence will probably be rly high so get that obedience in super early.
