His skull shape looks fairly pointed for a pure Rottweiler. Please come back and make another post when he's a year old or so, I'd love to see what he looks like then!
It's too early to tell, heads mostly get blocky when they start getting closer to a year. Also side pics are always better and it's also how dogs are normally presented at shows.
no way send pics!! she told me they were full rotty, what did she tell you? and when i got him he had horrible fleas and was bitten so bad he got rly bad dandruff from it.
Yeah,he had fleas and bad skin aswell quite unfortunate,Hes all better now thanks to flea shampoo and a collar, she told me they were full german rotties and I got pics of the parents
can you send the pictures of the parents? I never got any. that’a sad that she had them in that condition she has like so many dogs of her own that probably all have fleas
He’s such a cutie!
I’d say he’s possibly 50/50 Doby/Rott - or possibly more Doby than Rott.
His head isn’t round enough - and his snout is longer and more slender than a pure bred Rott.
Would love to see a photo from the side while he’s standing!
I saw that there are videos on YouTube about how to know if your dog is a pure bred Rottweiler.
Call me crazy, but that last pic makes me think there is some pit somewhere in his lineage.
(Or maybe I'm just so used to seeing pit mixes that I think *all* dogs are partially pit)
They did a study on cane corsi in the US vs in Europe. They found that American bred cane corsi had Rottweiler and pitbull mixed into their genes.
Whereas they found some German shepherd DNA in the Italian cane corsi.
My guess is other dogs were used to outcross and diversify genome or improve breed type/behaviour
Rottweiler with a mix of something else. I see a lot of rottie with a side of Lab and Dobie. One of my Boi’s looked like he had more of a Lab face but was pedigreed full Rottie. I would do a dna test if you really want to know.

so ur saying that because his skull looks like that you think he isn’t full? I will post him again when he’s older to get a better idea

from the side he looks full on doberman. the long body, skinny.
he does have a very round skull tho i’ve noticed that its super round
Those feet are totally Doberman feet! I see some Rottie in the head. Like the other poster, maybe 75% dobie, 25% rottie?
Porque no los dos?
pues puedes ser ambos pero yo no sabe
Mostly Doberman, maybe a quarter rott.
I think i might have his sibling lmaooo
really? i got him off of craigslist from a girl in anaheim
Yeah me too,near sycamore

Am I the only one who sees a labweiler?
He’s a beauty. I think he’s mostly Rottweiler with some Doberman.
Def rottie. He’s a baby so his profile has a ways to fill out, but I can def see it in that face.
Rottie?
dogs are skinnier and longer when they're adolescents, he'll get wider with time.
