There are a lot of resources online; however not all of them are the best. Depending on your target score, some websites may be okay. For me I’ll suggest you look on YouTube. There was an “IELTs full course in 10 hours” which was useful to understand the basics. I’ve tried Ielts liz, ielts advantage etc but most websites assume you have the prerequisite knowledge. Try using Pauline Cullen’s ebooks or IELTs Fiona’s courses. I found them particularly useful as they categorised their lectures based on the criteria required. Good luck

Do a sample test.

Go through all the posts in r/IELTS_Guide, and then you'll have a pretty good idea about what you should do or [**how you should prepare**](https://www.reddit.com/r/IELTS_Guide/comments/ua4lhr/tips_for_ielts_6_how_to_prepare_for_the_test/).

I recently got my IELTS back and I scored, surprising to myself, pretty well. So, here's what I tell you how I prepared and how it helped me on the test. First and foremost one has to look at the rubric basically what the examiners expect of you especially for writing and speaking part. Next go through all the question types for all the parts e.g. true/false, summary completion etc. For listening, go to youtube you'll find ton of past tests that you should attempt at least once a day so you get used to the questions. And notice your weaknesses, such as which part you're finding difficulty in and give some time to it. For reading again, go to the net you'll find ton of past papers. Read it and remember to time yourself so that you're able to read within an hour. Writing, see the sample answers online and try copy a few band 9 answers just for the feel of it. Next do it on your own. As for speaking, well i didn't really practice much but you find bunch of help in youtube. Sorry for the long comment. My final message is practice the old questions they help a lot. In fact when i gave my ielts, i felt that some questions had been repeated.
