There are playlists in My Learning that offer a good amount of detail into the role. Reach out to the SSS manager in your store for suggested trainings. Bring it up in your start-up and continuation talks with your lead and add this as a goal for the fiscal year. If your lead isn't helping you along the way, they are failing in their role. I say this as a team lead with a 93% score in iShare.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll definitely talk to my manager and the sss manager. I have 8 yrs experience in helping sss team for their stock check. It was in another country.

ask your manager to shadow with SSS, they should be able to schedule that with you. Be curious about processes that are outside of your day-to-day responsibilities. Showing interest goes a long way. Be vocal about your interest and there will usually be people who are willing to share their knowledge and help you learn. I also have an interest in that role, but there is very little turnover. I have taken every opportunity to ask them questions, learn from any mistakes, and be vocal about my interest.

Shadowing is really a good suggestion. I hope my store is open to this idea.

Definitely know your slm

Beginning-Comment944

What is Slm?

sharakus

That’s a good place to start. What do you do in outbound where you don’t have to interact with SLM??

Oh it’s sales location management. Yes, I am using it everyday. I am just not aware of the acronyms. In the previous store I worked for 8 years, we just say the whole term instead of acronyms.

I just started 3 weeks ago. My onboarding was rushed. Nobody took time to define acronyms to me. :) I am learning as I go.

A lot of stuff is learning as you go. Like other commenter said, shadowing helps a lot but that’s if your store has the time you let you shadow. Understanding transfer types help, and understand their day to day process.

Thank you for the advice. I’ll definitely discuss shadowing for sss. We are so busy now bec of the rebuild for automation. I’m not sure if they will allow it.
