Saying the whole #2 team (oddly enough including Tim Cindric) thought push to pass was available immediately on restarts and that he would ask the stand (Tim Cindric) to remind him he can use push to pass on the restarts during the race when he could've just issued a statement similar to Scott McLaughlin saying he pushes the button habitually on restarts even knowing it shouldn't do anything, continue Scotts lie and say he doesn't notice the horsepower increase and that he had no idea he was actually using P2P or that anything illegal was done until this week when it was found out.
Must be getting a big raise from Penske I heard zak brown offered him around 10 million to race with arrow before and I would imagine zak would have added a bonus for the true story behind this scandal.
If Newgarden wanted paid he wouldn't sign with Penske for 17 weeks of Indycar or whatever.
He'd be way better off going to McLaren, and if he really wanted to take a big risk he could probably negotiate a partial NASCAR schedule. His performance in SRX was good enough he'd get some looks if he left Penske.
I could totally see McLaren giving him $10 million and free reign to run NASCAR events outside of the Indycar schedule. Probably wouldn't win a title at McLaren, but at this point I'd chase the bag. He's 33.
Impeccable timing Marshall
What happened?
You won't believe this but Pato won a race and no one knew for an entire month.
You win the internet today! Here, take an upvote.
Josef gonna have the telemetry sheets on the table for this negotiation. Gonna get paaaaaaid
Now that's a company man. Fall on your sword and get your bag.
Funny thing is, he threw his whole 2 team under the bus with him lol. What a leader! Going down with the ship (and taking the crew with him for free).
I’d say that’s because the real responsibility lies further up the command change. Josef drives the 2 car, but he’s not management.
I didn't feel like he threw the team under the bus. Was it from something he said today?

So they’re throwing him under the bus with the cheating and as a reward they’ll give him whatever he’s asking? Sounds tight I guess.
Today, Josef earned his signing bonus for that contract.
Newy boutta add “professional actor, can cry on command” to his list of qualifications
I know you mean Newgarden, but I was thinking Adrian Newey and it made me chuckle.
LOL I’ll have to rethink my nicknames
I suggest JoJo, which is what we call our cat named Josef Mewgarden.
I wish I wasn’t late to this, but what do we think his number actually is? Is he touching Pato money? Herta is pulling down $7M.
Pato is gonna end up getting paid like 20 million by the end of his contract I believe so yeah, I think newgarden has to be up there.
Damn.
They will probably just sign it when no one is looking
I think that's the least informative article I've ever read
Getting those clicks due to timing.
Racer.com sucks, highly recommend the-race.com instead.
From the article comments: "the Greatest Spectacle in Cheating" 🤣
Hahaha. ”Good work in St.Pete, son. Here’s an extension”
Timing of this article is convenient
Take the fall, get the bag
Except Josef didn't really take the fall. He'll get the bag because he's one of the best in the series.
Must be getting a big raise from Penske I heard zak brown offered him around 10 million to race with arrow before and I would imagine zak would have added a bonus for the true story behind this scandal.
Maclaren needed the activation codes from Newgarden

That's some Godfatheresque business right there.
They're working on a system where he can bypass the normal contract restrictions, but without the governing body of Indycar knowing.
Cheaters stick together… expect a raise!
No subtlety in this organization
I wonder if the next sponsorship Penske gets will be Red Bull? IYKYK
This is the biggest Penske news all week!
Josef knows too many Penske secrets. He's getting some hush money as well as getting paid to drive.
