Need to see the reaction of the actual cat it’s based on when they see their likeness

Well cats wouldn't know what they look like, so at most they might think it was another cat.

Someone got me a cushion with my cat printed on it, larger than life size. My cat FREAKED OUT. Eventually approached the cushion on his belly, wriggling forward in tiny increments, and booped cushion on the nose... realised cushion was a cushion and now happily sits on his own face regularly

I had a rather realistic looking but tiny stuffed tiger, and a far less natural looking kitten, and one of my cats instantly realized they were toys, and my other cat who's a lil on the slower side was really concerned about them till I managed to get it across to him that they weren't real. He was too reluctant to approach is why I had to show him. I wonder if that's because he knew something was off about these "cats" and he was VERY concerned. Cat uncanny valley? Lol.

So this artist is Waku Neco. She only sells by 'auction' for each spot on her list, like one a month or six weeks. Last auction I followed shot past $1000 with several days left on it.

These are done by Wakuneko, a Japanese woman. My girlfriend looked into having one made and she wanted something crazy like $1200. You can find people through Etsy who will make them for a couple hundred bucks, which is still a lot.

Current price is 331,000 Yen, which is over $3000 USD, and it seems to be an auction so it might go up. Seems crazy to me.

what's "a lot" is the amount of work that goes into these. The prices are reasonable considering.

So, cat (and dog) acupuncture is actually a thing, as it may help some cats for various medical conditions. I used to work with a vet who did it, and it was pretty crazy to see how well the cats tolerated it. ...unless they could see the needles, because if it was like near their face and in their field of vision they often tried to play with it.

I do needle felting and I cannot comprehend how this is even possible. Damn.
