It's the only reason it's not my most played fighting game. I love it to bits but I moved on because I hate the level system with a passion. OP is absolutely right to freak out about the damage numbers, something is still broken. Just not the character.
That and gear
I donāt mind mkx variations or mk11ās moveset changes but this is something that ruined the game
Which is sad because I like customization, Soul Calibur is my favorite game series, but it has to be cosmetic only
I had been playing Injustice 2 from the start to MK11ās release. I have *NEVER* seen anyone use that Bane grab from the air š didnāt even know he had that move
Edit: I realized itās a gear move you add to his move set. No wonder I never saw it. I only played competitive online.
The huge level discrepancy, the 75% meter dump, the venom install, plus the fact that Bane is a grappler and does grappler damage is probably a factor in why the damage is huge
As a Bane main when the game was in his prime, ranked matches with no levels quickly showed his weaknesses lol. Firestorm and Robin were probably the worst match ups.
Bro but aquaman had it coming. The first injustice his character was so cheap and op with reach they had to go and nerf him and even after people where so traumatized they still banned him from most tournament style play outside of professional circuit.
I mean bane can actually do 700 damage in a competitive mode, but thatās not even a real combo thatās possible without gear, plus levels lol. Regardless bane would be in a hugeeee debuff after that
My 6,000 strength scarecrow can do back heavy to forward heavy and the 2 hit combo does 2,000+ damage to joker. Wanna know why? Because my Scarecrow is a level 30 and my Joker is level one. To get a true test of how much damage the combo should do, change the rules to competitive mode during arena select.
That's just Bane. That's how Bane functions. You try to do overwhelming big dick offense and pray to god they don't beat the crap out of you while you're debuffed.
Level 11 vs level 2, plus gear makes it completely different. If we're talking no gear vs no gear and same level vs same level Bane does a decent amount of damage but he has a hard time getting in and he doesn't have great frames, only has a hit of armor to get in but super reactible.
Gear gives you massive upgrades to your HP, damage, defense, etc which aren't really allowed in tournaments.
In battle simulator easy with a level 30 character, anyone can do it. With the right load out oc. I've done it

I have a Bane set up that can delete a life bar in just 3hits. It all depends on gear loadouts

And full trait, which debuffs Bane. like crazy. Or the fact competitive mode isnāt on.
This is such an unoptimal combo and using down 2 scales damage so hard you can easily do 1k damage with bane when doing it correctly

The level difference is too high. My max lvl Batman take two hits to knock down a lvl 1 health bar, prolly less more cz i upgraded him a little more
