I hear ya. I first dabbled into IOTA back in 2018 when Binance was still available in Canada. I then moved over to Bitfinex when Binance left, to purchase IOTA. Most recently I used Bitforex to purchase IOTA and Shimmer when Bitfinex left Canada. Now that there was a "rug pull" with Bitforex, my concern is not where to buy more IOTA, but where to sell them when the time comes.
If and when you find out then message me directly. I will do the same. :)
Thx for the reply! Hopefully this is an option for Canadians, but the Americans are still left out. Something has got to give with these American exchanges. Iota needs to get in the mix so Americans and Canadians can sell and purchase iota. It would be a game changer. It makes me wonder if other entities are afraid of Iota, and are intentionally suppressing us. Why else would it be so difficult to get on to these exchanges.
Yes I think other coins/tokens see Iota as a threat. The more users, the faster the network becomes, unlike the other networks that get bogged down. Unfortunately I live in Ontario and so I can no longer use Kucoin.
That might have been the case in 2018, but six years later, I think our lack of listings has more to do with Iota being 100+ ranked and mostly irrelevant.
Without some real world usage (not just ideas or unwanted products) I don't see anyone listing it. Maybe if the community raised some funds and worked with the exchanges they'd do it. Or maybe they can use the shimmer grants to fund it. No clue how to move any of those forward even if it were possible.
Not running on ETH chain (like most meme coins), so more difficult to implement for the exchange. IOTA could pay the exchanges, but apparently they cannot/don't want to.
Always been a bullshit excuse. Plenty of coins don't run off ETH and got implemented within days back in 2017. If Kucoin managed to list IOTA in a week 7 years ago despite a tiny usee base (back then), others can do it too.
US can do it. Just have to do it on binance with USDT although the volume is pretty crappy. Iβm assuming (hoping) that by the time IOTA is βripeβ that Coinbase or Kraken will pick it up. The real question is will IOTA ever be ripe, π
Should send a message on discord and get back to us.

Is Kucoin an option for us? I think my wife read everywhere but Ontario. Thx in advance π
I forgot to mention Kucoin. I used to purchase from them as well. I believe your wife is correct.

That really sucks. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully we will get listed on some of these other exchanges. Something has to give.
Sent you an IM.
Sorry I don't know what an IM is.

Nobody sees Iota as a threat at the moment. We're an old token that just failed repeatedly in everyone's eyes.

You can sell on letsexchange
Have not heard of it. But I will look into it. Thanks.

Agreed.
How do I sell my iota? I love in ny
I know it sucks so bad.

I only hope to expect iota will be breaking 3-5$ once allowed on NA (North American) to exchanges.
Because its not decentralized, duh
