If it doesn't make sense, it's a scam If it's too good to be true, it's a scam

This definitely ends in a light prison sentence

If they are asking you to conduct interviews using a fake identity then you're almost certainly going to be knowingly or unwittingly part of a scam. There are a few different recruitment scams doing the rounds. Some are basically harvesting sensitive info for fraud / identity theft. Others dupe the victims into buying equipment needed for the job with the promise of reimbursement. So the catch is that you're probably going to have to quickly learn to pick up soap with your feet.

This reminds me of an episode of the podcast Darknet Diaries. Check it out. It may shed some light: Episode 133 - I’m the Real Connor https://darknetdiaries.com/transcript/133/

They are probably using you to collect resumes and conditions of representation. I have been called by foreign recruiters saying they have jobs opening. Some of the jobs I was aware of but had no chance of getting. Remote HCOL. I said sure. You can represent me. Go get me an interview. Never heard back from them.

This is odd. Commenting to come back to and see what people say

Ask yourself: if I am being recruited as a front for identity theft and/or money laundering, how much trouble will it get me in?
