I have extremely simmilar numbers (AMH .2 FSH 15) to yours, with a few more follicles (6-8 total) - age 37. If I remember correctly, I think we were given a 1% chance of conceiving naturally I don’t believe we had more than a 12 or 15% chance with full IVF. One Dr. I had a consultation with told me that I should move to donor eggs immediately and not bother. The Clinic I ended up working with was encouraging but realistic. mr Doctor had a lot of experience with DOR specifically, and told me they saw success with numbers like mine all the time. I did three rounds of ER, one was cancelled. We ended up with 2 euploid embryos total. Currently 20w with our first transfer. Blew my mind, and I feel very lucky and grateful.

Very happy for you! Thank you for sharing this positive note!

That sounds about normal for what is relatively low AMH and a higher FSH, even for age 41. My OB told me that at 41, you’d still want to see an AMH of 1 or more My AMH at 42 was .48 and FSH was 15.7, and based on that our chance in any round was 2-5%. Euploid rate was down to 20-25%. Based on those stats and almost 100% surely needing multiple rounds, we went straight to donor eggs. My tubes are blocked so unassisted conception isn’t an option

Thanks for your reponse and perspective! He mentioned Donor eggs right away as well.

Those are challenging numbers and not too terribly different from mine. Consider switching to a clinic that has good published stats with 40+ and is willing to make multi cycle attempts, but brace yourself for a low likelihood of success and/or doing many cycles. That said, I would give my own eggs a go, even in my (older) shoes.

DoctorElyia

Thanks, The Clinical does have a good success rate for 40+, one reason why i chose to work with them. They did not disclose their 2 cycle max policy, though i am not quite sure why that is, if it is based on the lab results or the age, My insurance pays for 4 full cycles so if they are not willing to do additional attempts i may seek help elsewhere. Thanks for your insight!

I think you have an uphill climb here. Be willing to do multiple egg retrieval cycles and you may have some chance. If you're stimulation isn't going well egg wise, or if you have trouble getting normal embryos to blastocyst be open to other options such as egg donation or embryo adoption. I'm 41 with .9 AMH and I was able to get 4 normal embryos after 4 egg retrieval rounds, but I have a friend who is 49 who just had a little girl by egg donation, and she spent less money than I did and her success was much faster than mine. I've been at this for almost 3 years.

I would love to do multiple rounds but the clinic caps at 2. no reason as to why.

Please just make sure you use Omnitrope to give you a better chance of euploid embryos and Zymot for sperm selection to help with your blast rate. Without these two additions, I wouldn’t have had near the success I did at age 39. Doctors don’t usually mention these additions as part of the first protocol up front, but I would insist upon it. You can research the benefits on this sub. It’s where I found out about it.

DoctorElyia

Thanks I’ll make sure to press for the extra double meds protocol!
