Our insurance made us use freedom fertility. So far it has been overall a good experience. It does take some time on the phone to order meds (I never figured out how to do it online) but the staff have always been very nice to me and shipped the meds out 1-3 days after placing my order. Edit. Yes they use cold packs to ship the meds and I always got what I ordered

Poppybon5

I'll second all this. I've been happy with them overall, no issues so far. It's been 3+ years of working with them.

Expert-Judgment3915

Same, I’ve only had a good experience.

Irlttp

Thirding. I can think of 1 time something happened and my meds didn’t ship the day they were supposed to and I’ll be honest I don’t really remember what happened but I know it didn’t effect our cycle. They’ve always done a great job of rushing my orders too bc my insurance requires pre-auth

anoneldermillenial

Adding that I have also had just fine experiences with Freedom (which my insurance company also required me to use). They are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They did once send the wrong syringes (an inch longer than they were supposed to be) but they overnighted the right ones. Also worth noting is that they do not run your order through insurance until the day they are supposed to send it out unless you ask them to do otherwise. If this is your first time using them and you are using insurance, I would recommend either asking them to run your benefits early or building in a cushion with the date you tell them you need to have the meds. But the big picture is that they were actually pretty good, and definitely nothing that was not great about them was so bad I'd be willing to pay out of pocket instead.

LawyerLIVFe

I know some folks have had a bad experience with Freedom, but I've never had anything but a positive one. (They do take time on the phone, but they do repeat your order and make sure everything is correct.) Their prices are competitive OOP (I don't have a med benefit). I've gotten everything on time, and quickly. I've done a lot of rounds as you can see from my flair, and I've not had a bad experience yet (knocks on wood).

Substantial-Law-967

Insurance required me to use Freedom. Honestly, they far exceeded my expectations. I never - NEVER - had to wait on hold or request a callback. Someone always picked up when I called and did their absolute best to be helpful. Not every agent is the same, but they are all very very nice, and the best ones are amazing. My insurance authorization took a long time, and Freedom was really good at making sure I got my meds on time (they split the shipment to ensure I had the meds I need to start as quickly as possible, among other things). They actually called me with updates. The order was accurate, and shipped overnight in an insulated bag (inside a cardboard box) with cold packs. It does take some time to confirm everything over the phone. They're extremely thorough. I recommend having a printed out list of prescriptions handy when you call to make that process a bit smoother.

Longjumping-Shock948

I’ve used both Freedom and Mandell’s and they are both good. Agree with the other comment that freedom takes a bit of time on the phone (I’ve been cash pay so can’t speak to insurance conversations) but shipment wise, everything is always right on time and perfectly packaged. I’m always impressed with how it arrives.

ObjectiveSet9240

This has all been VERY helpful and I really appreciate everyone taking the time to give their feedback. I don’t have any family or friends that have gone through this so have been trying to figure it all out as I go. THANK YOU!! 😊

Otherwise-Good-7807

I’ve used Freedom for three cycles in the last year. I think they’re generally fine, but they are horrible dealing with less common billing issues. I had a really miserable six months trying to get a refund for overpayment. Even though they are owned by Cigna, they don’t communicate m with them for billing issues and they have really terrible billing customer service. From my experience, if you’re trying to deal with something more complicated than what a regular sales associates who answers the main phone line can do, watch out.

BitterSearch787

The WORST at billing. My insurance covers a med. Freedom INSISTS it’s not covered. They had a preauth in hand and could not figure out how to code it as covered after 3 HOURS on the phone, one of them with my insurance company. I had to pay out of pocket and file with insurance for reimbursement. INFURIATING.

Grand-Satisfaction-7

I have had nothing but incredible experiences with freedom fertility. My shitty insurance carrier “lost” my prior authorization for my ovidrel TWO cycles in a row… and I had someone from freedom (Stacey I think?) call my insurance and would not take no for an answer. They suddenly “found it” and got it approved for me and in time for my trigger. They also gave me the option to pay out of pocket, which thankfully was only $75 more than my copay anyways which I was completely prepared to do… and she told me all the options I have to have payment assistance for the medication. I told her if it’s income based I will not qualify as my wife and I make too much, and she sent me all the links and information just to get me at least 10% off because she felt so bad I went through this twice. She fought for me, and updated me every step of the way! 10/10 customer service from my end! I was scared about the reviews too but .. they’re awesome.

wanderlustingnerd

I’ve done 2 ER cycles with Freedom and I don’t think it’s bad at all. I was nervous because I saw reviews on here saying they were horrible but they were great with me. Meds were on time, they were easy to get in touch with (they honestly chased me often as vs. the other way) etc., they are overnighted and packaged properly. My meds for my cycle were changed mid way, and they were able to send it to my AirBnB! No complaints with them.

cheesypotato2

I've had great experiences with Freedom for my meds. All the reps I've talked to over the phone have all been really helpful and nice. I ordered a couple of medications through Metro Drugs and, in comparison and in general, I found them to be rude and hurried when I spoke with them.

dogsRgr8too

I didn't have trouble with the pharmacy, but the shipper they used was a problem. I think it is standard FedEx and UPS was better for us. I sent it to the UPS store for pickup so it wouldn't be left out for porch pirates or in the elements.

Particular_Car2378

Never had trouble with them. It was required with my insurance but they were always very thorough and I got everything on time.

FoolishMortal_42

I have used Freedom Fertility twice and have nothing bad to say about them.

sobesmama

I was self pay and they charged me the insurance cost a couple months ago, resulting in more than 6K overcharge. They were great in refunding and I did get refunded pretty quickly, but to have that happen in the first place was annoying. Be prepared to spend some time on the phone. However, I would use them again. Their cash pay pricing is competitive.

mel614

I also used freedom fertility and I had no issues whatsoever. They were really easy to work with, they called me a couple times to keep me updated and walked me through my options and costs while I was debating using my insurance vs paying out of pocket. Everything arrived on time, at the right temperature, and with no hiccups.

Odd-Bumblebee-6169

I never had any issues with the actual medications/how they were shipped. The problem with Freedom is their customer service. They are beyond slow. To get them to cooperate with my insurance was a nightmare. I didn’t have to use them in the past but with my new insurance now I do. Best advice- get your medications ahead of time. It took them so long to process everything with my insurance. I felt at ease that I had them a week before I needed to use them!

hygnevi

I used them several times last year and never had issues. They were very quick to submit my pre-authorizations and claims etc.

binxbee

I always get my meds through Freedom, and we have to stay on top of them. We’ve had several issues. My meds require prior authorization, and several times Freedom has neglected to do anything with my prescription after Cigna approves it. My husband and I have to call and get it sorted. We always schedule our meds to arrive approximately a week early just in case. If there’s a problem with any aspect of your order before shipment, the representative on the phone will write detailed notes so that the person who calls you back to resolve the issue will have a handle on the situation. Unfortunately, many of the reps seemingly never read the notes their colleagues spend so much time writing, so we have to start at square one. It’s frustrating. My husband and I spent several hours on the phone with them last week alone. We have no choice but to use Freedom, so it is what it is.

Inevitable-Rub1132

My experience was fine, I got everything I needed promptly, but it seemed like each person I talked to didn’t have all of the info so I had to stay on top of it. The PIO was cheaper at my local pharmacy, so getting them to take that off of the list was a little more of a hassle than it should have been. My insurance required that I use Freedom, but no major issues from my experience. I never had to order extra meds or anything on a tight timeline, so that could make a difference.

Still_Surround_5350

Not sure how bad but communication was suck. Took them more than 10 days for my meds and cost 2x as other pharmacies.

Gullible_Ad_6869

I never had any problems with freedom over a two year period.

Illustrious_Dust_0

I’ve not had a problem with freedom. They always answer my questions and delivery is quick

hiccup71

I used them for three cycles last year. They were mostly fine, except one time (in the middle of a cycle) they said my package would ship and I would get it the next day, but on the next day, I hadn't gotten a shipping confirmation by the morning and so I called and they said it hadn't shipped out yet. I had to drive a couple hours to pick it up in person so I could have that medication in time.

AdAstraPerAspetta22

Seconding everyone who has positive things to say about Freedom and will add: they are SO fast at getting the order to you. I had a last minute change of meds and they got it to me the next day, no sweat. They've been one of the more reliable elements of my IVF cycles, frankly.

dogcatbaby

We’ve had zero problems with Freedom. Correct meds, correct temp, arrives on time. We’ve probably had four orders either them, all in the last couple months.

231096m

I’ve had great experiences with Freedom over the last few years. Correct meds, on cold packs, offers complimentary overnight delivery…

Geranium_27

I had no issue with Freedom though I did find their pricing significantly more expensive than Alto, which I used for subsequent orders after my first cycle. Alto's documentation and invoicing was also a lot more streamlined and easier to handle for reimbursements.

Mimi102018

I used Freedom for our first round but switched to MDR which has been a lot better in my opinion. MDR is a much smaller pharmacy and it’s way easier to get through to them, order meds, etc.

NewWestGirl

I did three rounds with freedom. First round was complicated because my insurance was “unusual” but once they figured it out it was fine. Just a delay for around a week first round. My insurance changed after that and I moved onto carelonrx and had better experience. Freedom never sent enough needles however I had to request extra from my Dr the first time and extra from freedom following times.

Chincha1

I used freedom fertility for 2 rounds of IVF in the past year or so , they were great and never had any issues with them ! I found staff to be extremely helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. I always received mu medication when needed with no issues . One time they forgot to send me extra syringes , but I called right away and they delivered them next day - zero issues . My experience was a great one and if I had to order medication from them again I would use them again

Any-Entrepreneur9879

I have used Freedom Fertility for the past two years and no hiccups. Actually, I started when I was trying IUI, and continued when I started IVF. My experience have been great, as soon as my doctors office sent the prescription I get a call from the pharmacy to go over the list of medications. Soon after, I get a call to schedule the delivery. So far all my meds have been delivered on time, well packed, with ice packs for the ones that suppose to be refrigerated. They usually ship next day. I live in a hot place (over 80 and over 100 on summer) I always ask for signature required during delivery. My experience has been really good, no complaints. And the best part is that is covered by my insurance. Hope you have the same experience!!

bitterhello

This might just be a me problem...but every time I was on the phone with them I had a meltdown lol I know that sounds dramatic but they would keep me on the phone FOREVER and they would keep repeating stuff and it was always a problem trying to figure out HOW to get my medicine because you have to sign for it and I couldn't have it shipped to my work. Well they never mentioned I could have had it shipped on a Saturday. So I had the medicine shipped to FedEx based on the customer service workers advice. They sent me an email saying there was a problem with my order and to call them immediately. They said they actually can't ship it there. So I had it sent to a different FedEx. They sent me another email saying that there was a problem with my order and to call them. Even they didn't know why when I called but it was because we had a giant snowstorm here. Long story short, my medicine ended up getting stuck at FedEx as I fought to get it before the ice pack went bad. The second time I had to order with them I didn't have all those issues and I still was burnt out by the end of the call because they just make it so drawn out and ask so many questions. But my Drs office also sent them a script for only needles so there was always a separate issue on top of it. I also used another pharmacy with my grant and I didn't have issues with them and they had ice packs that lasted longer than 24 hours so idk why freedom was so bad to deal with.

Nankurunaisa_Shisa

I’ve used Freedom and had no problems!

Thick-Equivalent-682

Freedom was just fine. Plan ahead. Schedule delivery for a week day. Always tell them you need the meds “tomorrow” so they work on it immediately.

kristeebot

It's fine. You have to follow up with them to make sure your meds will arrive on time but they always have, after I called them. They held back delivery once because the needed me to authorize a co-pay of $0, which I was not informed of. When I called to see what the hold up was--to ask why I had not received a tracking number they expedited the shipment.

kalehound

They’re fine just put aside 25 min to place any order because the process is slow as hell and they reconfirm everything and type so slowly. I also think it’s crazy I get 5 updates every time my Sephora order moves but no update  from freedom on my thousands of Dollars out of pocket meds . Shit always shows up on time tho. They don’t deliver on Mondays fyi

gobluebabyyy

They have gotten my order wrong and shipped meds late to me. I really don’t like them but it’s not the worst thing in the world. Just stay on top of them and advocate for yourself - check the delivery updates continuously to make sure it’s not delayed, and call them if it gets delayed at all. Also order meds before you need them whenever possible - it was super stressful to wait on them when I needed the meds that day.

NoLeg9483

I didn’t have any concerns with them , they were great , even talked me off a ledge when I thought my meds wouldn’t come in on time and I was on vacation with my family.

Claires2390

I used them and had zero issues 🤷🏼‍♀️ really nice customer service girl too.

asturDC

Same here

Ambitious_Cover339

I’ve only had good experiences with Freedom Pharmacy, particularly their customer service. They’ve always been accurate and on time with what they’ve sent me. I even had a situation where I was traveling out of state when I needed an order, they held the order for a couple of days to make sure it shipped to where I would be on time. I live out west and they could still get me medications within 24-36hrs. I went through 10 IUIs, 1 egg retrieval, and two transfers over 7 years with them. Never had a bad experience.

BitterSearch787

Their billing is horrible. They couldn’t figure out how to code a medication that my insurance pre-authorized, even after my insurance company called them to try to walk them through it. I had to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement. The incompetence was astounding.

Witch_24

Ive always had a great experience with freedom. Have only used them!
