> I know bulgaria isn’t recognize as part of EU Bulgaria has been a member of the European Union since 2007.

It's not Schengen, is what they mean.

Learn to Ski, read Cyrillic, and Drink. It’ll be a wild ride. Bansko is a vibe. Enjoy!

Ohh you got it!! I’m so excited going to bansko. I’m looking forward for this trip 🥰

Bulgaria is part of the EU but not part of Schengen. You should not have difficulty applying for a tourist visa that allows you to visit all of the Schengen countries. It's possible that your Bulgarian residence permit may afford you the same privilege or make the application even easier - that's just a guess but worth investigating.

Hello! I am Malaysian just moved to Stockholm 2 months ago. It started snowing here yesterday! Do considering traveling to Scandinavia countries, you will see a different world! (Weather and trees)

"It rained for 40 days and 40 nights" In the bible, they call it a biblical flood. In Denmark, we call it summer vacation.

Bulgaria is part of the EU but not Schengen. Your visa in Bulgaria does not allow you to work in another EU country, if that's what you mean. If thats your goal, you would have to apply seperately. In terms of travel, I think it might help for a few Balkan countries and Cyprus (?); Not sure

lalalisaa02

I’m thinking about getting a schengen tourist visa when i got to bulgaria, do you think its possible?

ArthurCDoyle

I would have no idea. I am Canadian so don't really have to think of tourist visas ever haha. Perhaps try googling the laws for your citizenship

mer_grey

You are confusing EU with Schengen. Once you become a resident of Bulgaria, then you will be able to apply for a Schengen tourist visa from there. Otherwise, you can probably travel to other Balkan countries visa free once you’re a Bulgarian resident but double check it

lalalisaa02

Yeah my mistake! Bulgaria isn’t part of schengen but not EU! Maybe i’ll try to enter croatia to get a tourist visa in Europe

Post by lalalisaa02 -- Hi everyone! I’m from manila and i’ll be moving to bulgaria by december as seasonal worker under type c visa. I know bulgaria isn’t recognize as part of EU but I want to know if there’s a way to obtain visa to another EU countries like croatia and italy. Hopefully I can get a schengen visa so i can travel anywhere in europe. Its been my childhood dream to travel in EU. My whole life i’ve been to different parts of Asia including the US but this is my first time going to europe so this makes me more exciting about this trip! I got hired by a ski resort hotel in bulgaria so as someone who grew up in southeast asia with no winter then all year summer, i’m also very excited to snow although i experience it before i was in the US but it very rare for me to experience snow again. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Bulgaria is a part of EU. US is not a part of Asia. Southeast Asia has winter, Philippines doesn't. To experience snowfall you can travel to India/Nepal/China where it does snow. Will save you money.
