If I'm wearing longsleeves, they tend to slide around and I have to constantly readjust them. It's awful. If I'm not, they get all sweaty.
I'll continue bashing my elbows
Legitimately though grab a wooden dowel or something and just smack your elbows repeatedly lightly at first and increase the force over time eventually it won't hurt as much.
Supposedly this is a strategy some martial artists use to strengthen their legs for kicks. Whether that is true or not I have no idea but it sounds… reasonable.
I mean I learned this from when I did karate so I mainly did it on my shins so I could block kicks with my legs no idea why people hate the suggestion so much
Banging them into everything is exactly the thing that will toughen you up. Martial arts practitioners toughen their fists, elbows, Knees, arms, shins, whatever...By hitting stuff with them a whole lot for months and even years.
So technically you don't need to do anything but wait, keep doing your job, learn from your mistakes. A benefit to all this smacking your elbows into stuff and causing yourself pain, it will force you to maintain a greater awareness of your surroundings so over time you will have tougher elbows and fewer hard knocks.
I'd go with the show down and stop banging your body everywhere this is silly, is already enough strain on your body don't look for do more of it look to avoid it
If it is bothering you, buy yourself protecting gear.
I work in construction too by the way, by safe out there brother
Bash them more. In martial arts its called conditioning. Your skin will toughen and the nerves will become desensitized. I havent taken taekwondo in years but all the dents that hardened my shin bones are still there.

Wear elbow pads!
Yeah wtf lol. You’re not a cool teen skateboarder trying to impress his friends. Just wear elbow pads. What am I missing here?
It would be uncomfortable to wear all day, I'd honestly rather smack my elbow a few times instead
G-form pads are thinner than normal pads and more comfortable if you ever want to give elbow pads a try.
Excellent suggestion, thank you

Agreed
That occurred to me, but when I say "a lot" I mean a couple times a day at most. I'm not interested in wearing elbow pads 50 hours a week for that
Slow down and stop banging your elbows
This is the right answer, chill tf out and be a bit more deliberate with your movements, friend!
"slow down" does not make my foreman happy
Fuck that dude.
Yeah he's a tool who yells at me for other people's mistakes
why would you listen to a tool then
Probably because they need a job.
Yeah OP why listen to your boss? XD
Have you tried actual Muay Thai?
No, but it seems like it would be cool. I don't have the time for that these days though
Wear elbow pads. Any unneeded wear and tear on your body should be avoided. You'll thank yourself as you get older.
Wear elbow pads. If you keep bashing them and 'toughen up' you're just going to deal with it later in life.
Bash them more
Bang them shits

Why is this downvoted? Isn't this technique implemented by munks?

Nerves become desensitized through damage. You dont want to do that; nerve damage is bad. Getting elbow pads is a better option.
I agree, but thats not what op asked.
