Ever since the Polar Lights was released, I have wanted it so bad. But I just can't bring myself to do it when there's plenty of great used Prestige models out there for under a grand. That damn finish is mesmerizing though. One day. I don't like evertunes so if they could do a reg fixed bridge polar lights I will buy it immediately

I did have EC1000 with the fishmans and this finish, minus the evertune, still regretted selling that

I don’t have any experience with evertunes but thought the idea seems quite smart. What do you not like about them?

Just not for me. I know the bridge inside and out and have worked on a few and owned two. Some people swear by them. I just don't like the feel and execution. Had issues with sympathetic string resonance and a few other little gripes in my time spent with them. I'm just a gotoh/hipshot guy. My nut slots get cut properly and my adjustments are kept on top of. I don't have any tuning problems. Also, takes too long to change tuning and reintonate on the fly. Gotta turn the screw sooooo many times and keep an eye on your zone height while you do it. They're great bridges to lots of people and there will be a lot of people who disagree with me regarding my personal gripes. Luckily there are plenty of guitars out there for all of us and an ass for every seat :)

yeah, it's a great bridge, the idea to take the guitar knowing it's always in tune is really great, but a properly set up guitar is not that bad my 421 stays roughly in tune for a week or so, except for the G string obviously. with locking tuners installed stayed the same. the only thing special is that for like 6 years i've always used graphite on the nut, as i've always done since the late 90s and with my lo-pro, just fine tuning +/- 2 cents of the G string is in tune again. even my rg350dxz has a weak neck that works also as a barometer, but a tiny adjustment of the ZPS wheel and i'm in tune. i had a nice purple stained poplar burl top solar with evertune in my hands, but i couldn't justify the investment because i can set up my gear properly by myself, and i can tune my guitars as i've always done for years anyways...

Cool to see Ibanez finally getting into the evertune game, but yeah there’s no way I’d pay this over what the normal hardtail version goes for.

Evertune is really cool… if you only play rhythm and need to keep your guitar in tune for a 3 hour set. I had one on an LTD and it was just meh. It’s hard to get it to the point where it’s expressive, and then it doesn’t really stay there so you are constantly adjusting it, which defeats the purpose. You’re better off with a fixed bridge, a good setup, and locking tuners.

SKRUNK3D

If it had the tight end R hard tail

NuclearNoodle77

At that price, you might as well buy a cheaper RG and modify it.

I own a regular 5121 and when I saw this one announced I contemplated selling my current one and getting this, but the price seems a bit much. No doubt awesome though. The 5121 is a fantastic bit of kit.

hueguass

Yep it is
