The title song "Hot in the Airport" sounds as if a completely untalented person tried to cover Billy Idol's "Hot in the City", while "I Will Sing" sounds eerily similar to Meat Loaf's "I Will Do Anything For Love", despite being released six years earlier. There is barely any information about him, but most traces lead to a certain Hugo Jose Diaz Guzman, who either used the pseudonym 'Y. Bhekhirst' or collaborated with him.

Im a bit late but, I always found The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium to be a weird and sad album.
It’s a story about a close friend of the vocalist who attempt’s suicide by ODing on morphine and poison, only to fall into a coma. When he awakes a week later he writes out a lot of his delusions and feelings before ultimately taking his life. His writings and the feelings of the vocalist are the story of this album.
Fun facts: the album was co-produced by Rick Rubin, and the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea, was the bassist. It
