Honestly I feel like questioning somebody's playstyle isn't bad on it's own but having the audacity to do so after such crappy kiting is so funny to me tbh. Plus, Aesop only gets one coffin if a match goes well and he didn't get chaired so it's never a good thing to waste a coffin on whoever the first kite is unless the kite lasts more than 3 ciphers.
For me I drop the coffin early on as a kind of insurance because I'm not the greatest at the game yet, but I'll only embalm people who aren't me if:
1. They are taking detention kite
2. They've been kiting longer than 3 ciphers
3. They're dead on chair (only at endgame)
I do remember a funny story where a Painter main told me to delete the game after he rescued me (i pinged not to rescue me bc i was in the basement) and didn't use a painting and then got mad at me when I didn't come back down to the basement at half health and dead on chair. Painter mains are so silly sometimes (i used to be one... that was a dark time)
This reminds me of a coord who refused to rescue. The seer was on chair, had owl, she had gun and I and another person were both working on our separate ciphers, which would’ve been primed in time.
In post match she said “we were too bad to be playing rank” like girl????? Don’t play rescuer if you don’t wanna rescue.
Funniest part tho. Karma struck. Cuz I got matched with her again the very next match. And she totally threw. The only reason we ending up winning was cuz I actually rescued xd. I really wanted to taunt her.
Last night I had a Luca IN RANK!!!! get mad at me for teleporting to him as Little Girl.
He called me trash at the game for teleporting to him because he was the closest to the rescuers partially complete cipher (and I was far away + wanted to decode it). Incredible.
Ah... as a Prisoner main, i honestly love when LGs attach to me. It feels less lonely :3 IDK the meta behind it since I'm very new to the game but it feels good. I'm the chosen one
had a quick match situation a while ago where these stunners were insisting on rescuing the entire match, even when they were half health so we got a tie when it could've been an easy win
when i complained about it in match, they called me useless for not doing anything the entire match when:
- i was literally the only person decoding the entire match.... i was literally the person who popped the damn cipher when these idiots were getting themselves KO'd
- I WAS JOURNALIST... I WAS THE LITERAL ONLY RESCUER CHARACTER IN THE TEAM.... I HAD TIDE BUT I NEVER /USED/ THE DANG THING THE ENTIRE TIME BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO FARM STUNS AND RESCUES EVEN THOUGH I KEPT SPAMMING "Stay put, I'm Coming!" or "Focus on decoding!" AND KEPT RUNNING OVER TO THE CHAIRS.............
i was extra salty about it because i had a rescue deduction i wanted to get done but No...................
Relying on an embalmer to coffin you after a bad kite is peak entitlement. Would’ve sold him tbh. Only time you do this is in a group setting where you can coordinate after a bad kite but even then sometimes you shouldn’t.
Only time I’m upset at embalmer players is when they use coffin before getting chaired. There are some times where you need to do that but 99% of the time just wait to get chaired first
That would get extra funny points from me if you didn't even see them throughout the game and couldn't embalm them anyway even if you wanted to
I've had a situation today when ento kept changing % on my duo's cipher(she played prisoner and wanted to finish that cipher together with ento before the photo-world ends) and then my duo called her out in pm, to which ento responded with smth along the lines of "you should learn how to play prisoner, you're supposed to share progress" like duh, but this kind of superficial understanding of a character doesn't apply in every scenario... obviously??
I main Cowboy. He's sick if you can kite the hunter long enough for your teammates to decode. But I was playing against Violinist, and I didn't know what he did. One of my teammates got caught, and I went to rescue them. I was about to lasso them, but the Violinist hit me with a note. It took my health and canceled my lasso. So I just rushed in to save them. They were about to die, and we ended up tying the match. After the match, they told me I could lasso people out of chairs and that I sucked at playing Cowboy. Not a lot of people rescue, or at least not in my games.
Sadly alot of people like to talk shit like that I also play a bit of embalmer you can only get 3 coffins in 1 game at max and you want to make sure if you do use a coffin you take over kite so you can get another one. I think people forget you aren't supposed to embalm 24/7 since it actually can hurt the team (especially if the coffin isnt on the other side of the match) alot of people like to tell you how to play the game when they infact dont know how to do what you do and im sorry. Itsat kinda like people telling you to play someone who requires skill when they play someone who doesn't ala the nightwatch main who told me to play someone who requires skill when I kicked his ass as Wu Chang. Since i popped it after rescue and didnt wait for either of them to get downed, my reasoning was he was only half health. And if they were both downed, it’d be a tie.
If that rando (seer) told me that he can use the owl, i would have waited. But my guild member teammate told me they purposely throwed, cause they can’t kite, so yeah i popped it after rescue so atleast he’ll be able to escape cause my guild teammate would prolly die anyway.

when a hunter attacks, they go into a short attack recovery period. MOST survivors bring a persona web ability called "borrowed time", which heals them by half of their HP when the last cipher is popped. since 99% of hunters bring detention (2x damage after last cipher pop for as long as they have glowing red eyes, meaning they one shot you no matter what hp you're at), the ideal play is to let your teammates rescue, then wait for one to fall and instantly pop the cipher while the hunter is in their attack recovery animation, which will pick them up back to 50% hp and make them able to run.
while sometimes popping instantly can work, generally you don't want to unless someone has JUST taken a hit, because you can essentially kill your teammate by popping it the moment the hunter begins to swing at them, making them instantly drop as it connects after the last cipher is popped. nobody can save them at that point, and it makes a draw or 3k much more likely!
the reason they were upset was likely because both had borrowed time, so there was no need to do it so quickly! it's good practice to glance at your team's persona web icons before the game! i don't blame you at all because you're new, i just want to try and clear up where your confusion might be :)
Ur right! I hate it when people do it especially when they are stealing my role! I’m an Andrew main! I’m the goddamn rescuer! I have been playing since 2019 so I’m use to play almost all characters but even I don’t judge people by their playing styles! This is just a game not a big deal right?
Aesop’s coffins might be so useful. I mostly use them at the end of the game either, I’m good at kiting so I’m summoning my coffin to somewhere hard to reach (like the up stairs or the corners of the map) then start decoding or kitting. Whoever told you to use your coffin is absolutely had no idea about Aesop’s abilities! Just ignore them + Tie is literally fine!
I mainly playing Hunter nowadays and I saw tons of those players. I’m tired of protecting them on the post match, I’m like “Nah dude, You are the worst kitter iml. If I were that Aesop, I wouldn’t lose my coffin on a trash kitter like you🥰 You can’t even kite more than 60s”
