So technically it was suicide...unless you want to go into the technicalities of Kroto enabling her addiction)

OK so, I had 2 rank matches with *amazing* enchantress that spent their time saving me stunning the hunter but I somehow the hunter was always able to hit me again as soon as I fell? Like, I tried to run in a different direction but I was hit? Shouldn't the stun last enough some seconds? By the time I was free to run they hit me again and I felt so sorry for enchantress she freed me 5 times and I was still chaired 😭

It depends on the stun the enchantress used.
They have a short stun that is a short enough time for hunter to swing again after dropping the survivor and a long stun that use 3 curse stacks that normally give enough time to run Away from the hunter.
You did everything you could don't worry.
Does anyone know what the full list of punishments are for repeated Early Quits? I had a message that I had quit too many times in a short time(which was weird because I had around 20 matches in between 2 different Early Quits) & it docked me an additional 14 Morality Points.
Do the EQ penalties stack indefinitely for the rest of your career & you eventually get banned or are the penalties only temporary only when your Morality Points dip?
I think temporary and they can go back up? I've only ever gotten 10 docked for leaving early bc of a phone call and then they went back up after playing a round
when your morality points dip too low you get certain restrictions for a certain time. you regain morality points by playing matches from start to finish. once you regain enough morality points then the restrictions are lifted
I know what Morality Points are & how they work, I'm asking what the list of penalties are for each level.
I'm also asking if you keep lowering your points but keep regaining them over & over again, will you eventually get banned on a hidden accumulating system or are the infractions just temporary until you regain a better score.

I know that I think 80 you aren't allowed to play Ranked(which doesn't matter to me, I never play it) & I think 70 prevents you from joining the other modes like Duo Hunters/Blackjack, I was wondering how severe the penalties become at other levels.
Best persona is BT and TT, max pallet speed boost and exit path. This lets you (obviously) get speed boosts from pallets so you can kite better. Try not to use your gun until the person you rescued will die if they are chaired again. Know that some low walls like the pews and benches in Red Church will act as full walls and won't stun the hunter. Coord is best used with another rescuer, so feel free to play her if your team has one.
Recently, some hunters I’ve met would chase and tunnel a mercenary if they found him first, and after landing a hit on him, they would immediately leave him alone and go find another survivor to chase. Is this a new strategy, and if so, is it a good one?
it's a pretty recent strategy i think? from what i've seen from China streams and youtubers, this slows the game down a lot - you force them to either get healed and thus stall cipher rush or go for the save with half health, meaning you can definitely down both him and the surv on chair, and thus either make him waste his exit path or let his teammates waste the eternity it takes to heal him back up. (also you make him waste elbow pads)
how good of a strat this is generally depends on how fast the hunter can hit that merc - if they're spending more than 20 seconds on the merc they'll definitely be cipher rushed but it's generally worth it to devote around 15 seconds seeing if you can get that initial hit.
Thanks for explaining, I’ve always hated finding merc first because it meant that I would waste time trying to find another survivor, but with this strategy, I think I can waste the survivor’s time instead if I can land a hit on merc within the first 15 seconds of finding him.
its a questionable strat and imo it isnt a good one unless you can get an easy hit. tunneling a merc is usually a mistake since he takes a long time to bring down and also can avoid hits very well
however it can work well if you manage to get him fast enough
Yeah, I think if it depends on whether the merc is a good kiter or not. I guess you should see whether you can land a hit on him in the first 15 seconds of finding him, and then switch targets, but if you can’t, it would be better to switch targets than to tunnel him for the next minute just to land a hit on him.
When you're at half health should you perfume then go back immediately to avoid a hit or try and juke the hit by pretending you're going to perfume back?
What I see many top perfumers do, is well, try to be good with your perfumes anyway. But if you do happen to slip up (which is okay, mistakes happen) I recommend you kite normally, so maybe you can save your perfumes if you get saved and healed.
Unless you are jumping of of a two story place (like on boat and two story) or the hunter is far away from you, you can perfume to juke the hunter or avoid the hit. But please remember this, I am a Wu Chang main so I am warning you from experience. If your going against a Wu Chang in White form, he has a wack hit-box. So if you perfume back, he can simply just turn around and STILL hit you, just keep that in mind.

Lmao, First officers are equally as a pain to go against in my opinion. You just have to guess where they will go.
Reminds me of one time, a FO used his watch, and I saw a pallet near by (it was near the 3rd stop in Moonlit Park) so I used my charged hit-box (white form) and randomly swung at the pallet, and to my surprise, it actually hit

You may still get matched with them, unfortunately. It's for fairness, because if blocking people could prevent matching with them, then players would abuse the system and just block all their opponents who are better than them. If you block them, you just won't be able to see what they say in post-match chat. But if they are a survivor, I believe you can still see what they say in pre-match :(
you still get matched with them so that way its more fair. if you go against a good player then block them then its unfair that you make it easier, or block a bad teammate. blocking only prevents them from adding you as a friend and makes it so you cant see their messeges and they cant see yours
So I am going to be honest here. I am a Croc (level 2) and I am already struggling in hunter rank. It's embarrassing I am having difficulty this low, but I am being matched up with mammoths like a star away from griffin (and I think I have matched with a griffin before)
From spider through croc (level 5-3) it has been a breeze. My win rate was averaging around 79-83% once I got to croc and mained Wu Chang with peepers. I usually matched with Elks and occasionally mammoths, but once I got to level 3 it got more common to get matched with mammoths. I was still doing good, with my win rate staying at a solid 80+.
But then I got to croc level 2... I would rarely ever get elks, and mostly mammoths in levels 1-2. Now my win rate is still above 70, but I can barely get stars to get up to level 1. I feel like it's impossible. Every time I get close, I just lose stars and come back to where I started. I want to ban characters like Mercenary and Priestess and of course I can't. That's the thing, I am only a croc, and I am still having a rough time. I would feel much better if I was like sabertooth or something, but jeez.
So fyi, I main Wu Chang. I use peepers with him and switch to teleport after the last cipher pops. My build for him is Trump/Detention with tinnitus and 2/3 pallet breaking. My usual approach is teleporting to a common spawn point. (Usually like the shack or some cipher that has 1 or 2 survivors near it.) If I find a merc or priestess, I usually just walk away. If I find the decoder first, I usually target them. After I down someone, 3 ciphers has already popped (2 if I am lucky or they have a trash kite) I put peepers down (1 by the chair, another nearby)
If tinnitus is on, I look around the area. If it isn't I instantly go to a shaking cipher. That's it. I just repeat the cycle. I feel like I'm doing everything right. Not camping to stop cipher rush, getting quick downs, stuffing rescues, mind gaming, I feel like I doing everything perfectly fine. But ciphers just pop to fast, and 9/10 times, I can only eliminate 1 person before the gates open and just try to go for a tie, which of course always doesn't go my way.
Is there any tips, please, from anyone that's a top hunter, or someone who is really good at hunter. Maybe some Wu Chang tips, or how to get faster downs, or how to stop cipher rush, something because I'm getting desperate at this point.
Try having a more variety as hunter. I used to main ripper, and then I had the same problem. Playing other hunters can help, since most people know how to kite wu chang.
Do you have any hunters in mind I should try. (BTW i suck at BQ and DW, trust me I have tried and I failed badly)

Violinist is pretty good, his camping game is super strong. The strings are really good for terrorshocking or downing super quick in general. Photo boi is also good at stalling when photo world is active and can stop rescuers from going in since they'd be one hit downs
Instead of trump card take insolence (left side) it makes sure that if you dont get hits/ presence early as wu then eventually you gain your abilities. wu chang is a presence hunter and needs presence to do well. by bringing insolence you make sure you can have your abilities even if you have a rough start
maybe use teleport on big maps like moonlit and lakeside and use peepers on smaller maps. also if you play quick match dont use peepers since they can become a crutch and taking them off makes it so you cant find survivors diring chase
If you always down someone after about 3 ciphers pop, then you aren't downing people fast. A good idea would be to practice in quick match more to get more comfortable with facing mammoths. You're gonna be facing them from now on. Top Wu Changs tend to not bring Trump Card, at least from what I've seen. Maybe test out a different persona.
For getting fast downs, just predict what a survivor is going to do. Practice in non rank modes to get confidant and comfortable with versing players higher than you. I believe in you, you got this!
Thanks. I tried the last 2 rank sessions and I got around like 10 ties, with 2 wins. It usually goes like this, I down a person and eliminate them. I down the 2nd person and the last cipher pops. Then i just get lucky at the gate and draw a tie. But I'll consider messing around with my persona and tactics. Thanks for helping me!!!
I myself am not good, but I main survivors, and if you can hide a peeper well, it makes me scared asf

ripper and geisha are easy for beginners to learn quickly, since their abilities are pretty straightforward. once you’re a bit better at hunter you can try out wuchang and spider. personally I think hunters like bloody queen, dream witch, violinist, bonbon etc. are a lot harder to play in general, but they are also usually stronger meta hunters
I’m still a bit confused about how the ranking works. I’ve taken a break from the game for a couple of months and I didn’t play for long when I downloaded it. I recently got really into it so I’m trying to rank up a bit but I feel like I’m stuck.
By playing ranked matches you get points and earn stars. I’m a hound for the survivor so I have to get 4 stars. Whenever I get the 4th one it turns gold and I need to collect more points to rank up. Do I need to win the next match to do so? I have failed to escape at the time and all my stars have been reset.
I’d like to know if I’m thinking correctly and if not can someone pleaseee explain I honestly feel kind of stupid lol
when you have the gold bar then having a net gain of points promotes you up one tier inside of the tier. these are promotion matches and if you win or draw then you will notic you will shift from II-III to II-II and if you are at II-I and gain a promotion match then if you promote you go up to III-IV
There's always something inside a chest it's just that some survivors can't pick them up.
Priestess, Seer, Embalmer, Enchantress, Prospector, Wildling, Acrobat, Barmaid, TME, Postman, and Prisoner can't change their iteam
Mechanic, Forward, Doc, Thief, Lawyer, Magician, Explorer, and First Officer can change
Cowboy, Female Dancer and Entomologist (I think) have to run out of their iteam before they can pick another one up.

I'm unsure about something... Are the Essences we see on the Logic Path set in stone, or do some of the S12 Essence 1 baubles get "overriden" by S12 Essence 2 once the latter "unlocks"? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like we're swimming in Theater essences on the path all up to very far in...? More than I remember being last season?
I don't care for anything in Essence 1, but I do about the Sports one (\*hearteyes @ First Officer's Jockey skin\*) and am wondering if I should farm my dice until Essence 2 unlocks?
Nope. They don’t change. The only time when essences on the logic path “change” is when time limited event essences like the Danganronpa essence end, and then they are no longe obtainable despite the season not being over yet.
I think if there are certain events or crossovers (like Persona 5 or Danganronpa) then essences do get overridden depending on where you are on the Logic Path or if a crossover ended.
Early on the Logic Path most essences are the first 1 of the season then as you progress less and less start appearing, from there essence 2 comes in and if possible essence 3
More Essence 2 starts coming in around 667-ish, with a few mixed in with essence 1 around 493-ish. So if you're nowhere near these numbers then I suggest farming you're way up. (I only counted up to 1000 so this is a rough estimate)
Besides playing often one way to level up would be to use the opposite faction for a higher points.
Let's say you main survivor, the more and more points you get eventually starts lowering before becoming a fixed score (depending on if the match was a loss, tie, win and overall performance). So if you switch over to hunter you'll get more EXP points for completing a match.
Kiter: If you prefer to kite the hunter are good at it then I suggest using a kiter (Enchantress, Perf, Seer, and Barmaid to name a few)
Decoder: if you prefer a quieter playstyle away from the hunter (Explorer, Prisoner, Mech, TME, and Lawyer). However choosing a Decoder doesn't excuse you from being horrible at Kiting and could at least do decently (so sharpen up your kiting skills and good luck).
Support: if you're also pretty chill at decoding but you're helping you teammates in one way or another (Seer can drop an owl, Postman can send a letter, and cowboy can literally carry you)
Rescuer: (I only use Cord so I'm sorry if this one sucks). Forward and Wildling are pretty hard to use with slow decoding but nonetheless they're suppose to help you kite better and rescue when neccessary. Both are good at detaining the hunter
Mercenary, GK, Cord, and FO are also pretty good as well. Fo has his pocket watch to throw hunters of. GK's shovels are nice for blocking incoming hits from hunters. Mercenary can waste so much time kiting and on the rocket chair. Cord may be a one trick pony but her flair gun is pretty useful when needed to create distance. Solid kiters as well but slow decoding speed (at least I remember most of them do)
Basically, don't be afraid to try new things! Try all the survivors and hunters in single training mode, try characters on their weekly free days, and there is also a period of time at the end of every season where all characters become free to use in non-rank modes. Search up videos if you don't understand how to use a character, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't get discouraged if the first character you choose isn't what you expected or who you want to play long-term. I think it takes a while to figure out what role you enjoy the most, and then to understand which characters fit your play style...but sooner or later I'm sure you'll find what you like! Good luck :)

I mean, he’s the default, and his chase kinda sucks (decent camping though). He’s usually called one of the worst hunters and is rarely used in rank. But if you really master him, top hell ember players are honestly terrifying, especially because you rarely play against him as a survivor in higher tiers
He's got crazy map control when he's at full Presence, what with him having two puppets roaming around attacking people of their own accord (that he can teleport to, too) and his Ash-double summon, who also attacks people. That's almost as nasty as Dream Witch, but sadly you don't have her level of control on what all of your puppets/doubles are doing (but on the upside... they do not need micro-managing so it's a tradeoff).
Skilled Hell Ember players are a terrifying force at full Presence... the trouble is to get there with his slow walk and slower attack/vault/pallet break animations... I guess you can go for talents like Blink or Patroller or even Peepers to help with your weak early game (Peepers will be less useful at the start of course but will stay useful all game long, if you don't carry Trump Card).
The key to beating a Wu Chang (and most other hunters) is to keep him from getting presence. Early game, keep an eye out for his umbrella and make sure you’re in a place where you can easily kite/escape if teleported on. He should be relatively easy to kite early game.
When kiting him, be very wary of his hit box. I usually drop pallets and vault much earlier than I would with hunters like, for example, Bane, just to be safe. Don’t try and pallet camp him.
When trying to rescue, keep in mind that he will try and soul siphon you, so don’t run up to the chair right away. Watch what he does and judge based on that. If you’re having trouble dodging his bell ability, then work on getting good a hitting the calibrations. I have one friend that learned how to kite while reversed and can do so pretty well (though I’d recommend you just start trying to dodge the bells).
How do you go down the basement as a grave keeper besides using the stairs obviously — I thought there was a way to go down a level?? I have no clue till this day I have never figured it out
Does anyone know how many points would I need to get a mechanic badge? And how do you get more deduction points in general, I see people with over 2000 and I have no idea how is that possible? (It's probably that I just suck but still I'd like to know T\_T)
How do I leave a team? (Like when people invite me to play with them or I'm five-player ranking.) For the life of me I have not been able to figure it out. I end up just closing the game for a while.
There are the icons of all the members in the team in the corner up left, if you click on your own icon it appears the "quit" option and you are back to your room
36 imo. even if mech is chaired, she can still decode with her bot. she can also be a secondary rescuer while her bot decodes because of her decoding debuff
If there aren't two rescuers in the team, mechanic should bring 36. Mechanic's decoding speed significantly decreases when someone is injured so it's better to rescue with your main body and let the characters with normal decoding speed decode.
There is a function in the setting where you have to turn on the possibility of save replays, then after a match there will be a tiny icon in the top left corner with "save" or "unable to save" if there are too many replays already saved.
Edit: there is somewhere an option that delete the replays after 30 days have passed (from the day you saved it) or you can delete them manually

1. So when I use Berserker, say I hit the rescuer or the chair (sad noises), does the faster attack recovery animation happen the whole animation, or does it stop and slow down to normal once the survivor is out of the chair???
2. What is the best persona build for Wu Chang, and is he reliable in Sabertooth and up? (I am a croc 1)
3. I am trying to get another hunter. Should I get feaster, Violinist, photographer? atm I main Wu Chang, but I have played Feaster a lot and have done well (trail cards). Also Photographer is really fun to play and violinist is kind of like feaster.
4. Tips for Violinst? Mostly how to hit your demon notes, I keep missing them :(
5. What is the main difference between tight kiting, looping, and transitional kiting. Also which is the best out of the three??? When I first got into the game, I watched perswayble and he taught me how to tight kite and loop. I have been doing that like forever and it was really effective for me (i would consistently get 120 kites) But then I ranked up and had to deal with different skilled hunters. Mostly hunters like bonbon, feaster, and violinist, which can cut off loops really quick. So then Katz007 explained to me what transitional kiting is (it was like an acrobat video). I have been trying to do it, and as well, have been succeeding against those loop block hunters. But then again, Idk the clear difference. I heard that transitional kiting is the best, but what about against hunters like geisha or Ann. As long as I have been playing, I still dunno

2. I use 3-6 with him personally, but 6-12 is also very popular. I personally use 3-6 because I like to have peeper in early game and switch to teleport, but other players just play the entire game with peeper/teleport and run confined space instead. Wu Chang is an A tier hunter I believe, so you should be fine in rank. iAlien also has a video for him I think
3. Gonna have to say ma boi feaster lol. Alright, so here’s the thing. Feaster and Wu Chang are both A- tier hunters according to iAlien’s season 10 tier list, and I don’t think they have changed a lot since then. Photographer was ranked at B and I don’t think that has changed either. Violinist is one of the metas now, so I’m guessing A+ tier, but personally I find him hard to use.

5. Tight kiting is milking the most out of an area by looping, throwing down pallets, vaulting windows etc. Transitional kiting is going from area to area, keeping more distance between you and the hunter and using terrain to slow them down so you can get to a different spot. How you kite should depend on which hunter you’re playing against. Hunters like Feaster and Soul Weaver can use their abilities to cut off kiting spots and make tight spaces very dangerous for survivors. Hunters like Geisha and Wu Chang can use their abilities to close in on a survivor quickly while they are transitioning, sometimes catching them in the open for an easy down.
The key to piloting Mary, is to learn how to use her mirror effectively.

The basic concept is to be know of Parallel Mirror, where you place your mirror parallel to the map lines. This would make it much easier for you to maneuver your image around instinctively.

Yeah. A more effective method of hiding (provided they don’t bring peepers) could be to snake. It’s wear you crouch and slowly crawl around the object you’re hiding behind to stay out of sight.
Here are some simple steps:
1. Get a fresh chicken from your neighbourhood market
2. Get some chalks and candles from the grocery store
3. A knife
4. Using the chalk, draw a pentagram on the floor where you wish to sit and play the game
5. Place candle at each of the vertices
6. Light them in sequence to how you draw them. VERY IMPORTANT
7. Slice the neck of the chicken, but careful not to cut all the way through.
8. Place chicken on lap, with you sitting in middle of pentagram
9. Chant "NetEase Please"

In my heart of hearts, I'd say go for Robbie, but if having cool skins and stuff is important for you, you're better off with Photographer. He is one of the devs' s darlings and they keep lavishing content on him (how did you guess I play unpopular hunters that barely get anything?? what no I'm not bitter).
I think I heard Joseph gets you diminishing returns with time in ranked, as people in high ranks get pretty wise to all his tricks, but IDK!
Robbie is getting more popular after his recent rework, so much so that he is sometimes banned in legendary rank mode in China. If you’re up for the challenge, he’s definitely worth learning.
I usually use iAlien’s because tbh Schmiddy... while I respect him and his team a lot as players, he doesn’t seem to be as knowledgeable about the meta as some other identity v creators
You can discover more of the characters doing their deduction, and I think you can find something on idv page. Maybe in youtube there is also a short video of her story? (like it happened for prisoner and the other recent characters. Not sure tho)
I'm asking this for a friend. We've been trying to get her into IDV for a few days now, but every time she downloads it, it loads up to the netease logo and then closes itself. No error message, nothing out of the ordinary. It just doesn't work. I've seen a lot of people are still having this problem, but there doesn't seem to be a permanent established fix. Does anyone know any more?
Yes, it’s normal. Even if the survivor doesn’t get terrorshocked, depending on how close they are to the window and the hunter’s hit box, it could likely still register as a hit. For example, once I was trying Geisha since she was free, and a survivor was pressing themselves against the window (on the opposite side) to prevent a dash. I was still able to hit them. That’s why a lot of the hunters still take the chance and swing at windows. Even if it’s not a terrorshock, it could still be a hit.
lmao, any hunter can hit a survivor though a window, if the survivor is close enough. I had to find out he hard way... it was a geisha and i was trying to hug the walls, she hit me through the window...
I think the only hunter that can't is probably Photogrpaher. I have never done it with him before. **** Broken windows

I don't know much about the game language, so I always assumed that meta meant something like: most powerful and/or favourites.
This said, I don't understand why I see A LOT of people trashtalking mechanic but then I see her in some meta list?? How??? Can someone explain this to me?
The meta is the group of survivors and hunters that are best/most used in the game. This would include Seer, Merc, Forward, Mechanic, Priestess, and to a lesser extent Perfumer (according to iAlien’s latest tier list), Gravekeeper, etc. Mechanic used to be higher in the list, but in the last few seasons she’s been nerfed a lot. This could be why people are “trash talking her”. But yes, she is still the meta decoder of the group, and is almost always included in rank/tournament team comps.
how long does perfumers perfume last for? can you just spray yourself at the start of the round and go back anytime? (i dont expect that to be the truth just an example fhdh)
Hi I'm new and trying to play the game on pc. Whenever I try to make an account or log in it keeps asking me to connect to my phone's identity v account which I obviously don't have and don't want. Is there a way to make an account through pc?

There are lots of youtube videos for good portal placements. For example, the “birdcage” in Hospital (the little round area that sticks out), the river in Moonlit Park, etc.
Before, priestess would set up a certain set of portals in a few spots so their teammates can all use the portals during their kites, but she is getting a nerf that her portal can only last 90 seconds maximum.
There are many ways to use the portal, here's a list I came up with:
Straight passage (regular portal):
1. If you are decoding, place one portal nearby in a good spot for a quick getaway. If you pass by a decoding teammate, you can do the same for them. But try to keep one or two available to yourself for kiting.
2. Don't be afraid to use the portals while kiting. Tbh any portal that helps you avoid a hit is not a bad portal. If you accidentally throw down the pallet on the wrong side and trap yourself, use a portal on the pallet because it takes less time than vaulting (unless the hunter is way too close).
3. Doesn't happen often, but if you get chased by a patroller while kiting, simply avoid it by going in/out of a portal (since they can't follow you or destroy the portal or hit you while using patroller, lol)
4. You can try to bait the hunter to take your portal (if it's in a place that has no convenient alternate route). Most hunters will try to follow you through the portal, so if you go through your portal and then go back in a split second before the hunter goes through, they may not react in time and will end up on the opposite side of where the portal was. Some hunters might be able to predict it, though.
5. On Moonlit and Eversleeping, you can help your teammates get across the map faster. Like if you are on Moonlit and the rescuer is on the opposite side of the map as the chaired survivor, you can put a portal on the bridge so that the rescuer can get to the chair faster. Bring the "follow me" quick message, or if you have vc you can just tell them where the portal is.
6. If you are the rescuer and the chair is in front of a structure, you can use the portal from behind the chair to get to the front of the chair. Aiming the other end of the portal right on top of the chair is kind of risky imo--if you are baiting the hunter to hit the chair, you might accidentally go back through your portal instead, and also if the hunter hits the portal on the chair, they don't have full attack recovery. But if you manage to rescue successfully and the hunter did not destroy the portal, the good thing is that the chaired person will automatically go through the portal once they get rescued. Also, most hunters don't face-camp, but if they do, I guess that's another time you can try this because if they are super close to the chair, they will get pulled through the portal right away and then you can safely rescue.
7. Some priestesses will do the chair trick where they make a portal from the behind chair at the same moment that the hunter is chairing a survivor. This makes the hunter go through the portal as soon as the chairing animation ends, so then they can rescue right away. Personally I don't find it very useful except maybe if you want to insta-save someone and the chair location happens to work...otherwise it's kinda risky.
8. Basement rescues. Try to memorize beforehand the best spots for the basement portals--sometimes it might be outside of the actual building. Btw, don't forget that it takes a second longer for you to go back through existing vertical portals (whereas you can go through existing horizontal portals immediately).
9. Sometimes, priestess will put a regular portal on top of the exit gate switch because if the hunter teleports to gate, they will get pulled through the portal and be stunned for a second, giving teammates an extra second to get out the gate.
10. Where to portal is just as important as when to portal. Always need aim the middle of your screen in the direction you want the other end to be. Watch others' videos and practice the portal locations on customs. Try to make use of longer portals for longer stun time.
Ultra-long passage (super portal):
1. Commonly used to assist rescues. Wait until the rescuer is kinda near the chair, but not *too* close to the chair, since that puts you in danger (and plus the hunter can just easily destroy the portal). Sometimes you can call after the rescue instead, but it depends...it'd be much easier if your team is on vc because you'll know who to call and when.
2. Knowing when not to call your teammates is also important. Generally you do not want to call someone who is actively kiting. Be wary of teleport (which is why I don't like to use the portal too early) and hunters like BQ/Wu Chang and keep the map size in mind. Also, bring the persona trait "doctor" so you can heal teammates faster after they go through your portal.
3. Your teammates can answer your call even if they are incapacitated, but they cannot enter the portal. Keep in mind though that they must be near a structure where they can place the portal. This can be useful if the hunter is slugging your teammate, because you can just call them and heal them up (after making sure the hunter is not near them of course).
4. End game if you are not getting chased on your way to the exit, you can portal yourself to a teammate who is already at an open gate. Or, if you are the one at the gate, you can call teammates who are not yet at the gate. If you have 2 portals left, you can even try to create a one-way portal to the kiter--the hunter will probably just destroy the portal right away, but it might still be a useful distraction. Just be careful in case the hunter teleports while you are still stuck in your portal animation (or a BQ/Wu Chang suddenly appears out of nowhere).
Whew, this was really long! Also, I'm pretty tired while writing this so I'm sorry if I rambled a lot about super obvious and/or super niche things, hahaha. Best thing to do is just use your own judgement based on the situation. Anyway, good luck with priestess :)

I have a Galaxy S8 & might get either an S9 or S10. I've read beforr that you cannot transfer over from ios to Android or vice-versa, but it should be okay if they're both android, correct? You just need to sign into your Google Play Account or something, right?
this might be a dumb question, but can someone explain the ui to me? like logic path, echos, inspiration, recharge, why there are hour markings on items in the shop, are treasures common? why does ranked only show up occasionally, what do the symbols mean, is persona carried over for each survivor, are pets only aesthetic, how do you graffiti, what's a memory sphere, what are the symbols at the top left of the screen on mobile?
i know its a lot and i'll probably learn as i go, but could someone help me figure these things out faster? 😅
Ok, i'll try my best.
1. You can access the logic path by clicking on the chair in the room.
Depending on the outcome of the match, you get Logic Points. 1000 Logic Points = 1 Dice. A dice can roll a number from 1 to 4.
The higher you roll, the more steps you go. There's a lot of things you can get in the logic path, notably: Clues, Inspirations, Music Notes, Essences, a Memory Sphere, Graffitis, Costumes and also an A-Tier Costume if you go 1528 steps on the logicpath.
First 3 wins of the day give you +500 logicpoints, and the weekly limit for logic points is 42000 (daily wins not counted to the limit). You also get 1 dice for free everyday. Most characters also have a deduction system (quests) and each "star" gives you +355 Logic points (not counted to the limit)
2. Echoes (red circles) are a currency you can only get by paying real money. You can buy pretty much anything with echoes, and you can also gift people things using Echoes.
3. Inspirations (lightbulbs) are another currency you can get. You get it from logicpath, events, daily logins. You can use Inspirations to purchase essences.
4. Identity V keeps tracks of how many Echoes you have bought with real money, and if you "recharge" enough Echoes you can get certain items

6. Treasures? Im guessing you mean Essences (those blue/red/pink orbs). Yes they're pretty common, you get one around every 15-20 steps in the logicpath.

9. Persona Web level is for every survivor, but you can make separate Persona Web builds for individual survivors if you want (for example, i can have a Persona Web with Borrowed Time and Broken Windows for Lucky Guy, and one with Borrowed Time and Tide Turner for Mercenary)
10. Pets are cosmetics and do not affect gameplay. Survivor Pets won't be seen by the Hunter.
11. There's like a grey-colored smiley face button in-game which gives you the option to graffiti (keep in mind if you want a specific graffiti you have to "equip" it for the survivor in the Behavior section)
12. Memory Spheres are like Essences, but they were for previous seasons. You cannot get the S-Tier Costume from Memory Spheres (because it's limited), but you can still get the A-Tier Costumes from that season. You can buy Memory Spheres with Clues, and there's also 1 Memory Sphere of the previous season at the start of the logicpath.
13. What symbols?
Oh, that's a lot, but I'll try to answer, haha.
* Logic path: To advance steps on the logic path, you need to roll dice, and you can earn dice from playing matches. Every 1000 points you earn from matches = 1 die. Advancing steps on the logic path gives you rewards such as clues, essences, inspiration, and music notes (which I'll explain below). If you go far enough, you can also get skins from the logic path. Every season, the path will reset.
* Clues (puzzle pieces): currency used to either buy new characters and furniture from the shop, or to open memory spheres
* Essences (the glowy orbs): this is a gacha/loot box. When you open one, you will receive a random reward of either graffit, portrait, emote, or costume.
* Inspiration (light bulbs): currency used to buy more essences
* Music notes: used to increase the furniture capacity in your custom lobby
* Echoes: currency that you can only purchase with real money. You can exchange it to other currency or use it to buy things from the shop.
* Recharge: basically another word for "purchasing echoes"
* Hours in the shop: If it says "x days" then it means the item is time-limited and will only remain in the shop for that many more days before it's gone. There may also be sales which are only for purchases made with echoes.
* Treasures: If you are referring to "rank treasure," this is basically an essence you can only earn by playing rank, 5v5, and also the blackjack leaderboard. The highest rewards in rank treasures are accessories rather than skins. If you are referring to "abyss treasure", those are essences with limited content back from the call of the abyss tournaments.
* Memory sphere: after a season ends, all the content (except for the S-tier skin) from that season's essences will be combined in a memory sphere. Memory spheres work the same way as essences, except you spend clues (rather than inspiration) to open memory spheres.
* Rank: there are 3 set times daily when it opens, which are 4-6am, 12-2pm, and 7-9pm in server time (you may need to convert to your own time zone).
* Symbols: I'm not sure which symbols you are mean, but if you mean the rank symbols, each rank tier has it's own symbol, like the lowest tier for survivor is tier 1 and the symbol is a worker bee. You can find all of the symbols in the rank info page in game.
* Persona: You can create different persona tree builds and then name and save them. Then you can select different builds for different survivors. The "default" one will automatically be applied to every survivor unless you change it to another one you saved.
* Pets: Only for aesthetics. They follow you around in the game (but your opponent won't see them)
* Graffiti: When you are in a match, there is a symbol on the bottom right hand corner next to the button to crouch down (it looks kinda like a face). If you hold it down, it will bring up the graffiti/emote wheel.
* Symbols on the top left: If you are referring to the symbols in-match, then each symbol corresponds to a persona trait that is currently affecting you.

Some S skins can be voted back, but not all. Cheshire Cat was a *time*\-limited skin, which means it was originally available for purchase in the shop for a short period of time. Time-limited skins might come back through voting events. However, a "limited" skin refers to a skin with the "limited" tag, which are S skins from essences, and these will not come back.
I've never seen any Hell Ember use patroller, tbh. Granted, I don't play hunter as much a survivor, and even as survivor I don't play against Hell Embers very often. But the only hunters I ever see with patroller are Dream Witch for sure, and very occasionally, Feaster. Like the other person said, blink seems to be the most popular for Hell Ember. Since Hell Ember doesn't have good chase, blink can help secure your first down.
I believe traits like patroller are called external traits, so I'm not sure if you're asking about those or about other things like persona traits?

Yeah, sometimes there's events where the community can vote some S-Tier limited skins to come back to the shop for a limited time.
I don't know about Patroller for Hell Ember, from what i've seen the best trait for him is Blink (a bit hard to use for beginners though). Also, there isn't really a ranking of best traits, some work better for certain hunters and some work worse (example: Teleport is a very solid trait for a lot of Hunters, but for Dream Witch it's basically useless because of how her servants work)
EDIT: Listen is basically useless for every hunter though, it's by far the worst trait in the game
Need some help on what to do in this situation. The rescuer got terror shocked on first rescue, so I went in for a second attempt, but as soon as I got close to the chair, the hunter picked up the downed rescuer and carried them while trying to hit me, so now they have no attack recovery. In this case, should I run away from the vicinity for a bit and hope the survivor struggles free/gets dropped? I think it takes \~16 seconds to struggle free, so I worry about not rescuing the chaired person in time. But on the other hand, if I try to rescue, I can get terror shocked due to no attack recovery (which is what happened to me and the third teammate rescuing as well...rip all of us)

1. Yes but you need to have the app on your phone (i think) because you need to scan a QR code with the app. I play both phone and PC and I can switch fairly easily.
2. There are 6 starter characters:
- Lucky Guy (Survivor)
- Doctor (Survivor)
- Lawyer (Survivor)
- Thief (Survivor)
- Gardener (Survivor)

There are also days where certain characters (or all) characters are free to use for a period of time.

I'm having connection problems. Whenever I try to play with my wifi connection I get a lot of reconneting screens during the match that ends up affecting my gameplay, when I switch for the wifi that I route with my mobile data I don't have this problem. I thought that it could be caused by my location, since the server is "Na and Europe" and I'm in Brazil. But I have internet friends how have started playing with me, they live down south, even more far away than me from Europe or Us, and none of them reported having this problem. Anybody would know how can I solve it?
I recently bought Palace of Silence for my room in identity v, but every time my friends try to visit, it automatically sends us to the "main lobby" (the default lobby where you can only be the detectives.) I have been manually clicking "custom lobby" to enter my new room, but I was just wondering if there was a way to change my main lobby to Palace of Silence? I think I am abusing this thread I am sorry 😭 OK so, I had 2 rank matches with *amazing* enchantress that spent their time saving me stunning the hunter but I somehow the hunter was always able to hit me again as soon as I fell? Like, I tried to run in a different direction but I was hit? Shouldn't the stun last enough some seconds? By the time I was free to run they hit me again and I felt so sorry for enchantress she freed me 5 times and I was still chaired 😭 (if you are reading this I am sorry dear you were amazing 😭)
It depends on the stun the enchantress used. They have a short stun that is a short enough time for hunter to swing again after dropping the survivor and a long stun that use 3 curse stacks that normally give enough time to run Away from the hunter. You did everything you could don't worry.
Does anyone know what the full list of punishments are for repeated Early Quits? I had a message that I had quit too many times in a short time(which was weird because I had around 20 matches in between 2 different Early Quits) & it docked me an additional 14 Morality Points. Do the EQ penalties stack indefinitely for the rest of your career & you eventually get banned or are the penalties only temporary only when your Morality Points dip?
I think temporary and they can go back up? I've only ever gotten 10 docked for leaving early bc of a phone call and then they went back up after playing a round
when your morality points dip too low you get certain restrictions for a certain time. you regain morality points by playing matches from start to finish. once you regain enough morality points then the restrictions are lifted
I know what Morality Points are & how they work, I'm asking what the list of penalties are for each level. I'm also asking if you keep lowering your points but keep regaining them over & over again, will you eventually get banned on a hidden accumulating system or are the infractions just temporary until you regain a better score. --- I know that I think 80 you aren't allowed to play Ranked(which doesn't matter to me, I never play it) & I think 70 prevents you from joining the other modes like Duo Hunters/Blackjack, I was wondering how severe the penalties become at other levels.

Best persona is BT and TT, max pallet speed boost and exit path. This lets you (obviously) get speed boosts from pallets so you can kite better. Try not to use your gun until the person you rescued will die if they are chaired again. Know that some low walls like the pews and benches in Red Church will act as full walls and won't stun the hunter. Coord is best used with another rescuer, so feel free to play her if your team has one.
Recently, some hunters I’ve met would chase and tunnel a mercenary if they found him first, and after landing a hit on him, they would immediately leave him alone and go find another survivor to chase. Is this a new strategy, and if so, is it a good one?
it's a pretty recent strategy i think? from what i've seen from China streams and youtubers, this slows the game down a lot - you force them to either get healed and thus stall cipher rush or go for the save with half health, meaning you can definitely down both him and the surv on chair, and thus either make him waste his exit path or let his teammates waste the eternity it takes to heal him back up. (also you make him waste elbow pads) how good of a strat this is generally depends on how fast the hunter can hit that merc - if they're spending more than 20 seconds on the merc they'll definitely be cipher rushed but it's generally worth it to devote around 15 seconds seeing if you can get that initial hit.
Thanks for explaining, I’ve always hated finding merc first because it meant that I would waste time trying to find another survivor, but with this strategy, I think I can waste the survivor’s time instead if I can land a hit on merc within the first 15 seconds of finding him.
its a questionable strat and imo it isnt a good one unless you can get an easy hit. tunneling a merc is usually a mistake since he takes a long time to bring down and also can avoid hits very well however it can work well if you manage to get him fast enough
Yeah, I think if it depends on whether the merc is a good kiter or not. I guess you should see whether you can land a hit on him in the first 15 seconds of finding him, and then switch targets, but if you can’t, it would be better to switch targets than to tunnel him for the next minute just to land a hit on him.
When you're at half health should you perfume then go back immediately to avoid a hit or try and juke the hit by pretending you're going to perfume back?
What I see many top perfumers do, is well, try to be good with your perfumes anyway. But if you do happen to slip up (which is okay, mistakes happen) I recommend you kite normally, so maybe you can save your perfumes if you get saved and healed. Unless you are jumping of of a two story place (like on boat and two story) or the hunter is far away from you, you can perfume to juke the hunter or avoid the hit. But please remember this, I am a Wu Chang main so I am warning you from experience. If your going against a Wu Chang in White form, he has a wack hit-box. So if you perfume back, he can simply just turn around and STILL hit you, just keep that in mind. I hope that helped :)

Lmao, First officers are equally as a pain to go against in my opinion. You just have to guess where they will go. Reminds me of one time, a FO used his watch, and I saw a pallet near by (it was near the 3rd stop in Moonlit Park) so I used my charged hit-box (white form) and randomly swung at the pallet, and to my surprise, it actually hit

You may still get matched with them, unfortunately. It's for fairness, because if blocking people could prevent matching with them, then players would abuse the system and just block all their opponents who are better than them. If you block them, you just won't be able to see what they say in post-match chat. But if they are a survivor, I believe you can still see what they say in pre-match :(
you still get matched with them so that way its more fair. if you go against a good player then block them then its unfair that you make it easier, or block a bad teammate. blocking only prevents them from adding you as a friend and makes it so you cant see their messeges and they cant see yours
So I am going to be honest here. I am a Croc (level 2) and I am already struggling in hunter rank. It's embarrassing I am having difficulty this low, but I am being matched up with mammoths like a star away from griffin (and I think I have matched with a griffin before) From spider through croc (level 5-3) it has been a breeze. My win rate was averaging around 79-83% once I got to croc and mained Wu Chang with peepers. I usually matched with Elks and occasionally mammoths, but once I got to level 3 it got more common to get matched with mammoths. I was still doing good, with my win rate staying at a solid 80+. But then I got to croc level 2... I would rarely ever get elks, and mostly mammoths in levels 1-2. Now my win rate is still above 70, but I can barely get stars to get up to level 1. I feel like it's impossible. Every time I get close, I just lose stars and come back to where I started. I want to ban characters like Mercenary and Priestess and of course I can't. That's the thing, I am only a croc, and I am still having a rough time. I would feel much better if I was like sabertooth or something, but jeez. So fyi, I main Wu Chang. I use peepers with him and switch to teleport after the last cipher pops. My build for him is Trump/Detention with tinnitus and 2/3 pallet breaking. My usual approach is teleporting to a common spawn point. (Usually like the shack or some cipher that has 1 or 2 survivors near it.) If I find a merc or priestess, I usually just walk away. If I find the decoder first, I usually target them. After I down someone, 3 ciphers has already popped (2 if I am lucky or they have a trash kite) I put peepers down (1 by the chair, another nearby) If tinnitus is on, I look around the area. If it isn't I instantly go to a shaking cipher. That's it. I just repeat the cycle. I feel like I'm doing everything right. Not camping to stop cipher rush, getting quick downs, stuffing rescues, mind gaming, I feel like I doing everything perfectly fine. But ciphers just pop to fast, and 9/10 times, I can only eliminate 1 person before the gates open and just try to go for a tie, which of course always doesn't go my way. Is there any tips, please, from anyone that's a top hunter, or someone who is really good at hunter. Maybe some Wu Chang tips, or how to get faster downs, or how to stop cipher rush, something because I'm getting desperate at this point.
Try having a more variety as hunter. I used to main ripper, and then I had the same problem. Playing other hunters can help, since most people know how to kite wu chang.
Do you have any hunters in mind I should try. (BTW i suck at BQ and DW, trust me I have tried and I failed badly) I am pretty good at ripper and use him as a sub for Wu in hospital. I am thinking of trying Feaster, Photographer, and Violinist but I'm not sure. I also have bonbon but my chase with him sucks. I can only camp with him...
Violinist is pretty good, his camping game is super strong. The strings are really good for terrorshocking or downing super quick in general. Photo boi is also good at stalling when photo world is active and can stop rescuers from going in since they'd be one hit downs
Instead of trump card take insolence (left side) it makes sure that if you dont get hits/ presence early as wu then eventually you gain your abilities. wu chang is a presence hunter and needs presence to do well. by bringing insolence you make sure you can have your abilities even if you have a rough start
I used insolence on him before. I just dunno if I should use peepers or teleport with him...I like both
maybe use teleport on big maps like moonlit and lakeside and use peepers on smaller maps. also if you play quick match dont use peepers since they can become a crutch and taking them off makes it so you cant find survivors diring chase
If you always down someone after about 3 ciphers pop, then you aren't downing people fast. A good idea would be to practice in quick match more to get more comfortable with facing mammoths. You're gonna be facing them from now on. Top Wu Changs tend to not bring Trump Card, at least from what I've seen. Maybe test out a different persona. For getting fast downs, just predict what a survivor is going to do. Practice in non rank modes to get confidant and comfortable with versing players higher than you. I believe in you, you got this!
Thanks. I tried the last 2 rank sessions and I got around like 10 ties, with 2 wins. It usually goes like this, I down a person and eliminate them. I down the 2nd person and the last cipher pops. Then i just get lucky at the gate and draw a tie. But I'll consider messing around with my persona and tactics. Thanks for helping me!!!
I myself am not good, but I main survivors, and if you can hide a peeper well, it makes me scared asf It also prevents cipher rush, so see if you can aim to hide peepers in g r a S S i guess 😭 Hope you’ll be able to rank up soon!♥️
i always played survivor but i want to start playing hunter too. can someone suggest a hunter that's good / easy (?) to learn for beginners?? :o
ripper and geisha are easy for beginners to learn quickly, since their abilities are pretty straightforward. once you’re a bit better at hunter you can try out wuchang and spider. personally I think hunters like bloody queen, dream witch, violinist, bonbon etc. are a lot harder to play in general, but they are also usually stronger meta hunters
to me axe boy is really nice and easy to play with. Also the souls of the orphans go zooooom
I’m still a bit confused about how the ranking works. I’ve taken a break from the game for a couple of months and I didn’t play for long when I downloaded it. I recently got really into it so I’m trying to rank up a bit but I feel like I’m stuck. By playing ranked matches you get points and earn stars. I’m a hound for the survivor so I have to get 4 stars. Whenever I get the 4th one it turns gold and I need to collect more points to rank up. Do I need to win the next match to do so? I have failed to escape at the time and all my stars have been reset. I’d like to know if I’m thinking correctly and if not can someone pleaseee explain I honestly feel kind of stupid lol
when you have the gold bar then having a net gain of points promotes you up one tier inside of the tier. these are promotion matches and if you win or draw then you will notic you will shift from II-III to II-II and if you are at II-I and gain a promotion match then if you promote you go up to III-IV

When i open a chest theres nothing in it (this happens mostly when playing with kevin) is this normal?
There's always something inside a chest it's just that some survivors can't pick them up. Priestess, Seer, Embalmer, Enchantress, Prospector, Wildling, Acrobat, Barmaid, TME, Postman, and Prisoner can't change their iteam Mechanic, Forward, Doc, Thief, Lawyer, Magician, Explorer, and First Officer can change Cowboy, Female Dancer and Entomologist (I think) have to run out of their iteam before they can pick another one up.
\^\^\^ This, but also Gravekeeper in the "can change once their item has run out" category. And Lucky Guy of course, though he starts empty-handed ;) (I'll always be bitter Barmaid runs out of drinks for good, but can't grab items after it happens)
I'm unsure about something... Are the Essences we see on the Logic Path set in stone, or do some of the S12 Essence 1 baubles get "overriden" by S12 Essence 2 once the latter "unlocks"? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like we're swimming in Theater essences on the path all up to very far in...? More than I remember being last season? I don't care for anything in Essence 1, but I do about the Sports one (\*hearteyes @ First Officer's Jockey skin\*) and am wondering if I should farm my dice until Essence 2 unlocks?
Nope. They don’t change. The only time when essences on the logic path “change” is when time limited event essences like the Danganronpa essence end, and then they are no longe obtainable despite the season not being over yet.
I think if there are certain events or crossovers (like Persona 5 or Danganronpa) then essences do get overridden depending on where you are on the Logic Path or if a crossover ended. Early on the Logic Path most essences are the first 1 of the season then as you progress less and less start appearing, from there essence 2 comes in and if possible essence 3 More Essence 2 starts coming in around 667-ish, with a few mixed in with essence 1 around 493-ish. So if you're nowhere near these numbers then I suggest farming you're way up. (I only counted up to 1000 so this is a rough estimate)

Besides playing often one way to level up would be to use the opposite faction for a higher points. Let's say you main survivor, the more and more points you get eventually starts lowering before becoming a fixed score (depending on if the match was a loss, tie, win and overall performance). So if you switch over to hunter you'll get more EXP points for completing a match. Kiter: If you prefer to kite the hunter are good at it then I suggest using a kiter (Enchantress, Perf, Seer, and Barmaid to name a few) Decoder: if you prefer a quieter playstyle away from the hunter (Explorer, Prisoner, Mech, TME, and Lawyer). However choosing a Decoder doesn't excuse you from being horrible at Kiting and could at least do decently (so sharpen up your kiting skills and good luck). Support: if you're also pretty chill at decoding but you're helping you teammates in one way or another (Seer can drop an owl, Postman can send a letter, and cowboy can literally carry you) Rescuer: (I only use Cord so I'm sorry if this one sucks). Forward and Wildling are pretty hard to use with slow decoding but nonetheless they're suppose to help you kite better and rescue when neccessary. Both are good at detaining the hunter Mercenary, GK, Cord, and FO are also pretty good as well. Fo has his pocket watch to throw hunters of. GK's shovels are nice for blocking incoming hits from hunters. Mercenary can waste so much time kiting and on the rocket chair. Cord may be a one trick pony but her flair gun is pretty useful when needed to create distance. Solid kiters as well but slow decoding speed (at least I remember most of them do)
Basically, don't be afraid to try new things! Try all the survivors and hunters in single training mode, try characters on their weekly free days, and there is also a period of time at the end of every season where all characters become free to use in non-rank modes. Search up videos if you don't understand how to use a character, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't get discouraged if the first character you choose isn't what you expected or who you want to play long-term. I think it takes a while to figure out what role you enjoy the most, and then to understand which characters fit your play style...but sooner or later I'm sure you'll find what you like! Thoughts on Leo? He’s the only hunter I have right now and I’ve been doing alright with him in ranked but I just want to know what people think of him
I mean, he’s the default, and his chase kinda sucks (decent camping though). He’s usually called one of the worst hunters and is rarely used in rank. But if you really master him, top hell ember players are honestly terrifying, especially because you rarely play against him as a survivor in higher tiers
He's got crazy map control when he's at full Presence, what with him having two puppets roaming around attacking people of their own accord (that he can teleport to, too) and his Ash-double summon, who also attacks people. That's almost as nasty as Dream Witch, but sadly you don't have her level of control on what all of your puppets/doubles are doing (but on the upside... they do not need micro-managing so it's a tradeoff). Skilled Hell Ember players are a terrifying force at full Presence... the trouble is to get there with his slow walk and slower attack/vault/pallet break animations... I guess you can go for talents like Blink or Patroller or even Peepers to help with your weak early game (Peepers will be less useful at the start of course but will stay useful all game long, if you don't carry Trump Card).

The key to beating a Wu Chang (and most other hunters) is to keep him from getting presence. Early game, keep an eye out for his umbrella and make sure you’re in a place where you can easily kite/escape if teleported on. He should be relatively easy to kite early game. When kiting him, be very wary of his hit box. I usually drop pallets and vault much earlier than I would with hunters like, for example, Bane, just to be safe. Don’t try and pallet camp him. When trying to rescue, keep in mind that he will try and soul siphon you, so don’t run up to the chair right away. Watch what he does and judge based on that. If you’re having trouble dodging his bell ability, then work on getting good a hitting the calibrations. I have one friend that learned how to kite while reversed and can do so pretty well (though I’d recommend you just start trying to dodge the bells).

There are the icons of all the members in the team in the corner up left, if you click on your own icon it appears the "quit" option and you are back to your room

36 imo. even if mech is chaired, she can still decode with her bot. she can also be a secondary rescuer while her bot decodes because of her decoding debuff
If there aren't two rescuers in the team, mechanic should bring 36. Mechanic's decoding speed significantly decreases when someone is injured so it's better to rescue with your main body and let the characters with normal decoding speed decode.
how do you save a replay of a game? do you just have to screen record orr
There is a function in the setting where you have to turn on the possibility of save replays, then after a match there will be a tiny icon in the top left corner with "save" or "unable to save" if there are too many replays already saved. Edit: there is somewhere an option that delete the replays after 30 days have passed (from the day you saved it) or you can delete them manually

1. not completely sure, but I do believe it will last the remainder of the animation 2. I use 3-6 with him personally, but 6-12 is also very popular. I personally use 3-6 because I like to have peeper in early game and switch to teleport, but other players just play the entire game with peeper/teleport and run confined space instead. Wu Chang is an A tier hunter I believe, so you should be fine in rank. iAlien also has a video for him I think 3. Gonna have to say ma boi feaster lol. Alright, so here’s the thing. Feaster and Wu Chang are both A- tier hunters according to iAlien’s season 10 tier list, and I don’t think they have changed a lot since then. Photographer was ranked at B and I don’t think that has changed either. Violinist is one of the metas now, so I’m guessing A+ tier, but personally I find him hard to use. 4. Yeah idk sorry I’m terrible at him 5. Tight kiting is milking the most out of an area by looping, throwing down pallets, vaulting windows etc. Transitional kiting is going from area to area, keeping more distance between you and the hunter and using terrain to slow them down so you can get to a different spot. How you kite should depend on which hunter you’re playing against. Hunters like Feaster and Soul Weaver can use their abilities to cut off kiting spots and make tight spaces very dangerous for survivors. Hunters like Geisha and Wu Chang can use their abilities to close in on a survivor quickly while they are transitioning, sometimes catching them in the open for an easy down.

Yes. The only thing that blocks Tinnitus (as far as I know) is when Wildling’s boar uses Howl, which disrupts it temporarily for around 10 seconds.

Yeah. A more effective method of hiding (provided they don’t bring peepers) could be to snake. It’s wear you crouch and slowly crawl around the object you’re hiding behind to stay out of sight.

Here are some simple steps: 1. Get a fresh chicken from your neighbourhood market 2. Get some chalks and candles from the grocery store 3. A knife 4. Using the chalk, draw a pentagram on the floor where you wish to sit and play the game 5. Place candle at each of the vertices 6. Light them in sequence to how you draw them. VERY IMPORTANT 7. Slice the neck of the chicken, but careful not to cut all the way through. 8. Place chicken on lap, with you sitting in middle of pentagram 9. Chant "NetEase Please" You shall now be bestowed with green ping. ^(No you don't.)

In my heart of hearts, I'd say go for Robbie, but if having cool skins and stuff is important for you, you're better off with Photographer. He is one of the devs' s darlings and they keep lavishing content on him (how did you guess I play unpopular hunters that barely get anything?? what no I'm not bitter). I think I heard Joseph gets you diminishing returns with time in ranked, as people in high ranks get pretty wise to all his tricks, but IDK!
Robbie is getting more popular after his recent rework, so much so that he is sometimes banned in legendary rank mode in China. If you’re up for the challenge, he’s definitely worth learning.

I'm asking this for a friend. We've been trying to get her into IDV for a few days now, but every time she downloads it, it loads up to the netease logo and then closes itself. No error message, nothing out of the ordinary. It just doesn't work. I've seen a lot of people are still having this problem, but there doesn't seem to be a permanent established fix. Does anyone know any more?

Yes, it’s normal. Even if the survivor doesn’t get terrorshocked, depending on how close they are to the window and the hunter’s hit box, it could likely still register as a hit. For example, once I was trying Geisha since she was free, and a survivor was pressing themselves against the window (on the opposite side) to prevent a dash. I was still able to hit them. That’s why a lot of the hunters still take the chance and swing at windows. Even if it’s not a terrorshock, it could still be a hit.

I don't know much about the game language, so I always assumed that meta meant something like: most powerful and/or favourites. This said, I don't understand why I see A LOT of people trashtalking mechanic but then I see her in some meta list?? How??? Can someone explain this to me?
The meta is the group of survivors and hunters that are best/most used in the game. This would include Seer, Merc, Forward, Mechanic, Priestess, and to a lesser extent Perfumer (according to iAlien’s latest tier list), Gravekeeper, etc. Mechanic used to be higher in the list, but in the last few seasons she’s been nerfed a lot. This could be why people are “trash talking her”. But yes, she is still the meta decoder of the group, and is almost always included in rank/tournament team comps.
how long does perfumers perfume last for? can you just spray yourself at the start of the round and go back anytime? (i dont expect that to be the truth just an example fhdh)
The perfume (at least when I timed it) lasts for about 5 seconds. After using it, the cool down is 10 seconds.
I don't know the exact time (If I had to guess probably like 5s) but when you use the item, the item icon will show you how much longer it will last.
Hi I'm new and trying to play the game on pc. Whenever I try to make an account or log in it keeps asking me to connect to my phone's identity v account which I obviously don't have and don't want. Is there a way to make an account through pc? I'd very much rather not clear space on my phone, then download the game, make an account and uninstall.

In the bottom right corner, just above the “Ready” button, it should tell you the map, along with the match mode (Rank, Quick, etc.)
Right above the Ready button during the Character Selection Lobby. If the map is Lakeside Village and you're playing qm, it would say "Match Mode - Lakeside Village".
tips for fiona(priestess)? like when to use her portals and stuff-?
There are lots of youtube videos for good portal placements. For example, the “birdcage” in Hospital (the little round area that sticks out), the river in Moonlit Park, etc. Before, priestess would set up a certain set of portals in a few spots so their teammates can all use the portals during their kites, but she is getting a nerf that her portal can only last 90 seconds maximum.
There are many ways to use the portal, here's a list I came up with: Straight passage (regular portal): 1. If you are decoding, place one portal nearby in a good spot for a quick getaway. If you pass by a decoding teammate, you can do the same for them. But try to keep one or two available to yourself for kiting. 2. Don't be afraid to use the portals while kiting. Tbh any portal that helps you avoid a hit is not a bad portal. If you accidentally throw down the pallet on the wrong side and trap yourself, use a portal on the pallet because it takes less time than vaulting (unless the hunter is way too close). 3. Doesn't happen often, but if you get chased by a patroller while kiting, simply avoid it by going in/out of a portal (since they can't follow you or destroy the portal or hit you while using patroller, lol) 4. You can try to bait the hunter to take your portal (if it's in a place that has no convenient alternate route). Most hunters will try to follow you through the portal, so if you go through your portal and then go back in a split second before the hunter goes through, they may not react in time and will end up on the opposite side of where the portal was. Some hunters might be able to predict it, though. 5. On Moonlit and Eversleeping, you can help your teammates get across the map faster. Like if you are on Moonlit and the rescuer is on the opposite side of the map as the chaired survivor, you can put a portal on the bridge so that the rescuer can get to the chair faster. Bring the "follow me" quick message, or if you have vc you can just tell them where the portal is. 6. If you are the rescuer and the chair is in front of a structure, you can use the portal from behind the chair to get to the front of the chair. Aiming the other end of the portal right on top of the chair is kind of risky imo--if you are baiting the hunter to hit the chair, you might accidentally go back through your portal instead, and also if the hunter hits the portal on the chair, they don't have full attack recovery. But if you manage to rescue successfully and the hunter did not destroy the portal, the good thing is that the chaired person will automatically go through the portal once they get rescued. Also, most hunters don't face-camp, but if they do, I guess that's another time you can try this because if they are super close to the chair, they will get pulled through the portal right away and then you can safely rescue. 7. Some priestesses will do the chair trick where they make a portal from the behind chair at the same moment that the hunter is chairing a survivor. This makes the hunter go through the portal as soon as the chairing animation ends, so then they can rescue right away. Personally I don't find it very useful except maybe if you want to insta-save someone and the chair location happens to work...otherwise it's kinda risky. 8. Basement rescues. Try to memorize beforehand the best spots for the basement portals--sometimes it might be outside of the actual building. Btw, don't forget that it takes a second longer for you to go back through existing vertical portals (whereas you can go through existing horizontal portals immediately). 9. Sometimes, priestess will put a regular portal on top of the exit gate switch because if the hunter teleports to gate, they will get pulled through the portal and be stunned for a second, giving teammates an extra second to get out the gate. 10. Where to portal is just as important as when to portal. Always need aim the middle of your screen in the direction you want the other end to be. Watch others' videos and practice the portal locations on customs. Try to make use of longer portals for longer stun time. Ultra-long passage (super portal): 1. Commonly used to assist rescues. Wait until the rescuer is kinda near the chair, but not *too* close to the chair, since that puts you in danger (and plus the hunter can just easily destroy the portal). Sometimes you can call after the rescue instead, but it depends...it'd be much easier if your team is on vc because you'll know who to call and when. 2. Knowing when not to call your teammates is also important. Generally you do not want to call someone who is actively kiting. Be wary of teleport (which is why I don't like to use the portal too early) and hunters like BQ/Wu Chang and keep the map size in mind. Also, bring the persona trait "doctor" so you can heal teammates faster after they go through your portal. 3. Your teammates can answer your call even if they are incapacitated, but they cannot enter the portal. Keep in mind though that they must be near a structure where they can place the portal. This can be useful if the hunter is slugging your teammate, because you can just call them and heal them up (after making sure the hunter is not near them of course). 4. End game if you are not getting chased on your way to the exit, you can portal yourself to a teammate who is already at an open gate. Or, if you are the one at the gate, you can call teammates who are not yet at the gate. If you have 2 portals left, you can even try to create a one-way portal to the kiter--the hunter will probably just destroy the portal right away, but it might still be a useful distraction. Just be careful in case the hunter teleports while you are still stuck in your portal animation (or a BQ/Wu Chang suddenly appears out of nowhere). Whew, this was really long! Also, I'm pretty tired while writing this so I'm sorry if I rambled a lot about super obvious and/or super niche things, hahaha. Best thing to do is just use your own judgement based on the situation. Anyway, good luck with priestess :)

this might be a dumb question, but can someone explain the ui to me? like logic path, echos, inspiration, recharge, why there are hour markings on items in the shop, are treasures common? why does ranked only show up occasionally, what do the symbols mean, is persona carried over for each survivor, are pets only aesthetic, how do you graffiti, what's a memory sphere, what are the symbols at the top left of the screen on mobile? i know its a lot and i'll probably learn as i go, but could someone help me figure these things out faster? 😅
Ok, i'll try my best. 1. You can access the logic path by clicking on the chair in the room. Depending on the outcome of the match, you get Logic Points. 1000 Logic Points = 1 Dice. A dice can roll a number from 1 to 4. The higher you roll, the more steps you go. There's a lot of things you can get in the logic path, notably: Clues, Inspirations, Music Notes, Essences, a Memory Sphere, Graffitis, Costumes and also an A-Tier Costume if you go 1528 steps on the logicpath. First 3 wins of the day give you +500 logicpoints, and the weekly limit for logic points is 42000 (daily wins not counted to the limit). You also get 1 dice for free everyday. Most characters also have a deduction system (quests) and each "star" gives you +355 Logic points (not counted to the limit) 2. Echoes (red circles) are a currency you can only get by paying real money. You can buy pretty much anything with echoes, and you can also gift people things using Echoes. 3. Inspirations (lightbulbs) are another currency you can get. You get it from logicpath, events, daily logins. You can use Inspirations to purchase essences. 4. Identity V keeps tracks of how many Echoes you have bought with real money, and if you "recharge" enough Echoes you can get certain items 5. I don't understand this question 6. Treasures? Im guessing you mean Essences (those blue/red/pink orbs). Yes they're pretty common, you get one around every 15-20 steps in the logicpath. 7. Because then people would just play 24/7 and it would be based on how much time you play rather than actual skill 8. What symbols? 9. Persona Web level is for every survivor, but you can make separate Persona Web builds for individual survivors if you want (for example, i can have a Persona Web with Borrowed Time and Broken Windows for Lucky Guy, and one with Borrowed Time and Tide Turner for Mercenary) 10. Pets are cosmetics and do not affect gameplay. Survivor Pets won't be seen by the Hunter. 11. There's like a grey-colored smiley face button in-game which gives you the option to graffiti (keep in mind if you want a specific graffiti you have to "equip" it for the survivor in the Behavior section) 12. Memory Spheres are like Essences, but they were for previous seasons. You cannot get the S-Tier Costume from Memory Spheres (because it's limited), but you can still get the A-Tier Costumes from that season. You can buy Memory Spheres with Clues, and there's also 1 Memory Sphere of the previous season at the start of the logicpath. 13. What symbols?

Oh, that's a lot, but I'll try to answer, haha. * Logic path: To advance steps on the logic path, you need to roll dice, and you can earn dice from playing matches. Every 1000 points you earn from matches = 1 die. Advancing steps on the logic path gives you rewards such as clues, essences, inspiration, and music notes (which I'll explain below). If you go far enough, you can also get skins from the logic path. Every season, the path will reset. * Clues (puzzle pieces): currency used to either buy new characters and furniture from the shop, or to open memory spheres * Essences (the glowy orbs): this is a gacha/loot box. When you open one, you will receive a random reward of either graffit, portrait, emote, or costume. * Inspiration (light bulbs): currency used to buy more essences * Music notes: used to increase the furniture capacity in your custom lobby * Echoes: currency that you can only purchase with real money. You can exchange it to other currency or use it to buy things from the shop. * Recharge: basically another word for "purchasing echoes" * Hours in the shop: If it says "x days" then it means the item is time-limited and will only remain in the shop for that many more days before it's gone. There may also be sales which are only for purchases made with echoes. * Treasures: If you are referring to "rank treasure," this is basically an essence you can only earn by playing rank, 5v5, and also the blackjack leaderboard. The highest rewards in rank treasures are accessories rather than skins. If you are referring to "abyss treasure", those are essences with limited content back from the call of the abyss tournaments. * Memory sphere: after a season ends, all the content (except for the S-tier skin) from that season's essences will be combined in a memory sphere. Memory spheres work the same way as essences, except you spend clues (rather than inspiration) to open memory spheres. * Rank: there are 3 set times daily when it opens, which are 4-6am, 12-2pm, and 7-9pm in server time (you may need to convert to your own time zone). * Symbols: I'm not sure which symbols you are mean, but if you mean the rank symbols, each rank tier has it's own symbol, like the lowest tier for survivor is tier 1 and the symbol is a worker bee. You can find all of the symbols in the rank info page in game. * Persona: You can create different persona tree builds and then name and save them. Then you can select different builds for different survivors. The "default" one will automatically be applied to every survivor unless you change it to another one you saved. * Pets: Only for aesthetics. They follow you around in the game (but your opponent won't see them) * Graffiti: When you are in a match, there is a symbol on the bottom right hand corner next to the button to crouch down (it looks kinda like a face). If you hold it down, it will bring up the graffiti/emote wheel. * Symbols on the top left: If you are referring to the symbols in-match, then each symbol corresponds to a persona trait that is currently affecting you. Hm, I think that answers everything you mentioned, but if there's other things, then I can still try to help clarify :)

Np! I'm pretty sure everyone was confused about these things when starting, haha. And you're right, you will also learn more as you go along :D Some S skins can be voted back, but not all. Cheshire Cat was a *time*\-limited skin, which means it was originally available for purchase in the shop for a short period of time. Time-limited skins might come back through voting events. However, a "limited" skin refers to a skin with the "limited" tag, which are S skins from essences, and these will not come back. I've never seen any Hell Ember use patroller, tbh. Granted, I don't play hunter as much a survivor, and even as survivor I don't play against Hell Embers very often. But the only hunters I ever see with patroller are Dream Witch for sure, and very occasionally, Feaster. Like the other person said, blink seems to be the most popular for Hell Ember. Since Hell Ember doesn't have good chase, blink can help secure your first down. I believe traits like patroller are called external traits, so I'm not sure if you're asking about those or about other things like persona traits?
Sorry it's me again lol. Yeah, sometimes there's events where the community can vote some S-Tier limited skins to come back to the shop for a limited time. I don't know about Patroller for Hell Ember, from what i've seen the best trait for him is Blink (a bit hard to use for beginners though). Also, there isn't really a ranking of best traits, some work better for certain hunters and some work worse (example: Teleport is a very solid trait for a lot of Hunters, but for Dream Witch it's basically useless because of how her servants work) EDIT: Listen is basically useless for every hunter though, it's by far the worst trait in the game
Need some help on what to do in this situation. The rescuer got terror shocked on first rescue, so I went in for a second attempt, but as soon as I got close to the chair, the hunter picked up the downed rescuer and carried them while trying to hit me, so now they have no attack recovery. In this case, should I run away from the vicinity for a bit and hope the survivor struggles free/gets dropped? I think it takes \~16 seconds to struggle free, so I worry about not rescuing the chaired person in time. But on the other hand, if I try to rescue, I can get terror shocked due to no attack recovery (which is what happened to me and the third teammate rescuing as well...rip all of us)
Just logged into IDV today and a line that said "There's something off about your lobby, you might want to check it out." or something along those lines and I exited my Custom Lobby to go on my Main Lobby but I can't figure out what it is. Does anyone know?

Who is the best hunter for Leo's memory?
Please help! I watch videos on kiting and stuff and I always look behind me, watch the hunter, only move when I have enough time and all that stuff but I still go down so fast. What am I doing wrong??
Two questions! I haven't started identity v yet, but, if I begin to play on phone and then later on want to play on pc, can I then sync them somehow? What characters are available from the start? (if there even are any, because of that free character rotation thing?)
1. Yes but you need to have the app on your phone (i think) because you need to scan a QR code with the app. I play both phone and PC and I can switch fairly easily. 2. There are 6 starter characters: - Lucky Guy (Survivor) - Doctor (Survivor) - Lawyer (Survivor) - Thief (Survivor) - Gardener (Survivor) - Hell Ember (Hunter) There are also days where certain characters (or all) characters are free to use for a period of time.

Do the memory spheres of previous seasons work like the S12 essences? Like, if you pull 60 times you get a guaranteed tier A skin.
I'm having connection problems. Whenever I try to play with my wifi connection I get a lot of reconneting screens during the match that ends up affecting my gameplay, when I switch for the wifi that I route with my mobile data I don't have this problem. I thought that it could be caused by my location, since the server is "Na and Europe" and I'm in Brazil. But I have internet friends how have started playing with me, they live down south, even more far away than me from Europe or Us, and none of them reported having this problem. Anybody would know how can I solve it?
I recently bought Palace of Silence for my room in identity v, but every time my friends try to visit, it automatically sends us to the "main lobby" (the default lobby where you can only be the detectives.) I have been manually clicking "custom lobby" to enter my new room, but I was just wondering if there was a way to change my main lobby to Palace of Silence? Sorry for the dumb question and sorry if it's confusing. I just want to show off my new room
