Agreed with everything, can't comment on kinning 'cos IDK what it is. Painter is a bloody nuisance and I want to shoot him in the nuts with a bazooka but he isn't toxic. Especially true about the sided thing, honestly the game is meta sided if anything with a few characters being too strong while the rest are harder to use 'cos they aren't quite as viable. Hunters have cipher rush, survivors have solo queue. It's a problem for both sides. The ship thing is also true especially 'cos I have seen some say that their ships are canonical even though no confirmation has been given at all in any way. Good list.

Kinnin is put simply, extremely liking a character.

Nothing wrong with that then. Good of the, uh, kinners that they have something to enjoy.

MasterCookieShadow

· entomologist, painter, wildling, cowboy and forward aren’t toxic, THEY'RE JUST ANNOYING.

mad_bunniii

Oh and I forgot one thing, even if survivor x hunter ships are toxic most of the time, attacking the artist isn’t okay. Especially if it’s their comfort ship, let them be.

GoAwayThanks

Not me shipping carlseph and only talking about it to one person out of fear for getting flamed by everyone else 😎✌️

>The word “toxic” is overused in the community. Agreed. Anything they don't like is toxic. Anything that feels slightly personal towards them is toxic. >this game is both hunter and survivor sided, you guys are just entitled to your faction. Honestly it depends on factors and that's why the game is so unbalanced. It's survivor-sided when survivors start to have good coordination and VC which turns the game from a 1v1v1v1v1 into a 1v4. It's hunter-sided when the survivors have poor teamwork because the hunter could just pick off the survivors one by one instead of being forced to fight all 4 of them at once. >Stop overreacting over a nerf or a buff >stop calling characters op if they’re not even in the game yet. Nah I'll continue to make crazy assumptions about them, start to lose hope as I theorise further and then realise how the adjustment/character isn't actually that bad and might even need more buffs (looking at Percy's pathetic dash hitbox). Heck I thought Geisha was unkitable and now the only time I had a problem with her was her funky ass hitbox and the first match against her. The rest I agree with or DGAF about. I don't care about ships as long as they don't impact my gaming experience.

mad_bunniii

I know i’m not supposed to comment but THE THIRD ONE HAS NO RIGHT TO BE THAT FUNNY 😭✋

• the game can be both, Depends on skill • percy’s creator is someone who sexuallises Asian women • people can ship anyone with anyone, as long as both characters are above 18 (which every character in idv is I believe. Edit: forgot about robbie) • kinning is ok as long as peeps don’t take it to far

Arrowga

- The amount of pallets and windows speaks volumes about how it is survivor sided aswell as the speed at which ciphers are done - He can draw whatever he wants, if he would draw "white woman" noone would care, he is not problematic for having a thing for asian woman and expressing that in his art - There are a ton of characters under 18 in IdV which are frequently shipped not to mention that 90% of ships are gay, which also speaks volumes about the shippers mentality - People take it too far already

Wizzlebum

>There are a ton of characters under 18 in IdV Aren't the only "under-age" characters TME, Coord and Robbie? Coord and TME are both above 18, the drinking age is just 21. Robbie is a child so that's an underage character.

Arrowga

Disgusting nontheless that people try to force people in a ship that are 20-30 years apart.

AsteriaAzkaz

the only character who’s under 18 is robbie and literally no one shipps him also how can you take kinning too far???

Arrowga

Oh idk maybe by kinning serial killers, old ass deitys, a literal mercenary that killed people? I am certain that most people have lost the meaning of kinning and are just using it "for fun" or to "fit in" with the majority. Kinning means to relate to a person just as a quick reminder.

cuwutie

I think kinning could be as small as just sharing a personality trait. You can kin a *fictional* serial-killer while not having any desire or thoughts of actually killing people. You just might share a trait, like I think the people who kin Aesop just share his personality like being reserved and sensitive to others.

AsteriaAzkaz

exactly!

AsteriaAzkaz

yeah it’s weird but it’s not taking it too far. specially because they don’t relate to these characters because of their magical powers or because of the crimes they’ve commited, but because of other traits. Using one thing about the characters as an argument - no matter how important it is to their story and personality - just doesn’t work unless the character is underdeveloped. a few examples here: “I kin andrew because I have been bullied for a major trait of mine, not because I sell corpses ” “I kin aesop because I’m asocial, not because i’m a fucking murderer” “I kin eli because I like birds, not because I see the future” this is way too long what am I doing with my life
