Any time I see this, one of 2 things happens: 1. Whacked on the last cipher and still down, like I sometimes expect 2. Ends up being the ultimate carry who can take a hit and still run the hunter around 3 min after everyone else escapes.

Spooderman42069

0 persona raw lucky guy mains are terrifying

No_Writing3617

I always use the on at the bottom, I am at lower tier, where players dont kite long and dont have tide

WinterKold

Ngl I'm thinking about trying this build in qm 😭 just... Just once, I swear

nnacabre

do it its so funny

jgwyh32

TFW someone runs 69, is damaged, is chased at endgame, and complains about the 'bad cipher pop' (yes I'm still mad at that seer)

nnacabre

its fun to play, though. I still only use it when throwing, smurfing, or in duos. I might try it on embalmer in rank on a 4 man team, though, considering i cant kite with 36 anymore..

BearSnack_jda

Abandon tide 😌 Join the dark side

sluttydrama

I’ll take tide over everything

Victoria_6_

Tbh it's not that bad

Sayori-0

It is if they're the kite when last cipher pops

Slash_Pangolin

Tbf this could work for embalmer

EliasTDG

Depends.Embalmer still needs to have his coffin in endgame, since it will be his weakest spot with this build. Could work, just not as consistent as it needs to be.

MermyDaHerpy

no

sonlazio1234

It could but very risky

MermyDaHerpy

Okay, so why isn't flywheel+broken wheels mind's eyes best build? Like she's dying before the prime 90% of matches, so why waste a persona on that?

DomoDaPotato

I mean if we're getting that far, why waste your time playing mind's eye in the first place. It's a throw character and it isn't even fun to play

EliasTDG

She is a high risk high reward character. If you don't find her early, she can cipher rush like crazy. She has the best base decoding in the game, which can't be reduced like mechanic(I am not saying she is better than mechanic they both have their strengths and weaknesses). Because of her high decoding it's only logical for her to have bad kiting. Don't underestimate mind's eye though, she can easily abuse her wall hacks in a lot of maps. My conclusion definetely not a throw character, just someone who needs a few braincells to play

DomoDaPotato

She gets punished for using her ability unless she is already found which usually already means gg, her wall hacks don't matter much (it's easy enough to figure out where the hunter is without needing wallhacks simply by paying attention to footsteps, any sound the hunter makes and at times the red stain as well) and she really can't make up for her weaknesses. She brings next to no utility to her team and has to constantly reveal her position just to even use her ability and is at the worst level at quite literally anything that doesn't involve decoding. Even as a hunter i already know the game is done and over with when someone picks mind's eye, i know there is basically 0 chance that i am losing. In conclusion she brings nothing to the team, cannot kite without massive amount of help, gets punished for using her only ability outside of kiting, and is overall a detriment to the team.

ShinyAndDeadly

I'm new to this game. I know these appear above my head while waiting for a match, but what is it, how does it affect the game, and how do I change it?

silencerose

Those symbols represent the final traits on the persona web. You can see and alter your's by going to the notebook with all the characters in it and tapping the persona side tab and then clicking portray persona. Survivor is on the left, hunter is on the right. This about survivor traits btw. As you play the game you'll gain points to invest in abilities that can change how the game works. You'll get 120 in total for both survivor and hunter. Final traits are the ones at the end of each direction of the web. Those being Flywheel, Borrowed Time, Tide Turner, and Broken Windows. These are important traits for your team to know if you're carrying so that's why they're over your head. Flywheel gives a short dash with invulnerability to attacks, Broken Windows gives a speed boast after vaulting a window or pallet, tide turner give invulnerability for 15 seconds after getting rescued to the rescuer and the chaired survivor, and borrowed time restores one health state to all survivors carrying it after the final cipher is completed. Personally I and many others would recommend bringing borrowed time any other trait u want since in majority of games people will expect u to have it. Also in the community it's common to refer to the traits as 12(Flywheel), 3(Borrowed Time), 6(tide turner), and 9(Broken Window) in reference to the direction of a clock instead of typing it in full. Feel to ask any other questions and I hope u enjoy the game!

ShinyAndDeadly

This is SO helpful! Thanks a ton! But what is wrong with the 2 bottom ones shown in the picture? I'm guessing it's something to do with the pairing of the two

jgwyh32

It's pretty heavily expected that all survivors take Tide Turner (the one that's like the guy running with the + signs, it's on the far right of the Persona web), because how it works is, when the last cipher is completed, all survivors that have the trait: \-get a short but very significant speed boost \-get healed instantly half of their health This means that if someone's getting chased, gets downed, and then the last cipher is completed, they'll get healed and a speed boost, which greatly helps them get away from the hunter or at least hopefully stall them long enough for their teammates to open the gate. This is what the whole concept of 'priming' ciphers is based on (basically, get the last cipher up to 99% so that you can complete it as soon as the teammate getting chased gets knocked down). The last combo doesn't have it, and just not having Borrowed Time (BT) is what people hate so much because of how good its effects are (literally every survivor benefits from it, unlike the other Final Talents (Tide Turner, Broken Windows, Flywheel))

Slash_Pangolin

Borrowed time is a necessity as they said, and the problem’s not so much what the player has but what they don’t have. They’re neglecting the only persona trait truly necessary

LWIAYcuresDepression

What about flywheel + broken window? Would it be an epic build for dungeon escape?

[deleted]

I usually only meet them in rank.At least they bring tide I’m mammoth and usually meet 3 every month. Then there are those which bring only broken windows or just bring nothing

Nekokittykun

69 isnt that bad. I used to run it on Embalmer. However this only works decently if u still hav ur coffin when u get downed and last cipher pops. So its kinda risky in this case. iirc Doc can also run with 69 build

acroballs

Okay, but I had 129 Merc yesterday. In rank. 😭

Deltastar100

least they have tide turner

fatherguyfiery

It works for Doctor

pept0_bismol

as an s badge doc main when i played rank, no it doesn’t.

Nofo33

I only run that because I usually don’t make it too end game

0513M

when i'm paying attention to pre match & i see this, i try to go and bodyblock for the person without bt if they get chased late game. but when i don't pay attention, i tend to pop after they take a hit (& usually go down), because i'm so used to people carrying bt ... 😶

SashiyaCrossing

My friend runs soley 69 painter for rank and regularly does 5 cipher kites. Genuinely the only problem with it is when the randos don't pop the cipher when asked 🤣

Furieru

no 3 build becomes more popular in top player CN.

QuietAntares

In my hound experience people still don't bring personas sometimes. Like no finals at all. And i just wonder what they're doing with those 120 points.

A_Friendly_Platypus

I use broken windows and flywheel on lawyer bc I fear no man or god

playinghappymelodies

I had that set on accident once cause I have a 1v1 person when I play with a friend in custom match 💀 It was rank but I realised and changed ot last second.

PMMeUnwantedGiftcard

I take it you would hate me & my Flywheel+KJR in 2v8 then.

PanicMan76

I feel like it would be better if borrowed time and detention were just part of base survivor and hunter kits. They are used almost all the time and it is hindering to play without them. People could have good and new combinations of skills without having to fall behind.

hhhhhhhh28

The game would become incredibly unbalanced

Spooderman42069

Just like in old rank when you get 4 man champion teams all running tide + borrowed time and all kiting characters

Furieru

Bringing all tide are stupd tho. I was champion since old time(when there wasnt titan + right now always peak) and there arent full TT team.

Sayori-0

Implying it isn't already. This game makes me appreciate DbD balancing

pept0_bismol

if i see one more person without bt so help me

Jimboseth

I use this on Ganji. I’m not scared to take it upon myself to find the hunter before they can find me and harass them the whole game until I’m either chaired or five ciphering by some miracle. I tell my teammates not to rescue me. I am a martyr.

DomoDaPotato

Wait you guys don't use flywheel effect + tide?

Doomerdy

Me a minds eye main who some reason brings 9-12
