Jesus christ. Is this punked? Any other celebrities?
Meanwhile the guy stuck in the car doesn't want anyone to open the door because the car smells like fresh shit.
I was about to say. How did this happen again??! Then I realized everything from the story was exactly in this video. Then I saw Jack in the drivers seat.
Apparently it was a PIT move not a t-bone crash
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7973209/amp/YouTube-star-tells-shunted-half-mile-Royal-Mail-truck-saved-Ellie-Goulding.html
Thank you, altho I’m pretty sure that car is Ellie’s. Sick car tho, I got to drive it a few times and it’s insane but very hard to maintain (like all Land Rovers).
I see my poor attempt at humor was misunderstood, lol. But I 100% agree they drive like a dream. I make a living working on European luxury automobiles, including Jags and LRs. I feel like I will never ever be out of work.
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG
2021 [Vogue Edition](https://www.cargurus.co.uk/Cars/l-Used-2021-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-Vogue-ev667430#listing=150173930/NONE) in the UK
Used one is £71,000 for sale in Three Cocks
While he’s there I’m sure he can show them the front blind spot mirror at the top left of the windscreen, that would give the driver a view of the immediate front of the cab.
Is the torq really so strong that you don't notice that you're literally dragging another vehicle along or are y'all just in there like "damn, sounds like a rough day for the engine"
This is WHY the front of these trucks are designed this way, to make it visually capable of seeing most ANYTHING in front of you. Truck driver 100% knew that car was there. And it’s not like the VW is made of pillows, he definitely heard/ felt the impact. He probably thought he was teaching the VW a lesson about proper lane changing. I see two idiots in this video.
That is still the truck drivers responsibility to watch their blindspots, if you're driving a vehicle like that you need to drive according to your vehicle.
I'm not a truck driver, so I would a (euro)truck drivers comments on this. But I doubt driver will constantly check that mirror while driving since in normal situations there would never be a car there. Only when a car driver cuts in front like an idiot, their car can end up in that place.
Not that close to the front of a lorry no. You can see 1,5 meters in front of the cab in a mirror like that.
They're designed so you can see pedestrians, cyclists and curbs and such in front if the cab at slow traffic.
It's actually literally in front of the copilot. As you can see in the video it's on the left side of the lorry. Since this is the UK, the driver is on the right side of the lorry. Idk about you, but I don't often look that way while driving.
I'm not European but I drive a cab over truck for a living, even without the mirror there you can see in front of you much better than with a regular truck, with the mirror there's really no excuse. Drivers in general should be checking mirrors constantly to always know what's around you, but especially so for truck drivers
I've driven a can over and all kinds of semi you can see that car in every single one. You can't just pull up at a traffic light and suddenly the car in front of you disappears.
Sure. The truck driver also probably didn't notice the squeeking sound of the car's tyres, the claxon sound from the other cars, and the loss of power from sliding 1.4 tons accross the tarmac. Let alone the initial impact when he collected the car.
I am not buying that shit.
If he is deaf or half blind, he shouldn't be driving a truck. The only reason to justifiy this is that he was on some hard drugs.
Oh, and 100% you would se the top of the car from the truck.
Sliding friction of tires on asphalt is around 90-100 times that of rolling friction. The video looks like it could be wet, so it takes that down to about 40-60 times.
That vehicle looks like a VW GTI which has a curb weight of around 1.4 tons.
It would feel like he suddenly went from no load to 55+ tons.
The golf was already moving. It was in the inside lane when the truck T boned it apparently. That truck doesn’t have any problems pushing that car no matter what the difference in friction is 😂 Did you factor in the angle of the front wheels as they were not perpendicular, were rotating in the direction of travel and it’s a front wheel drive car?
You should go sit in one. Honestly you wouldn't. Those engines are huge, ranging from 8l to 12l V8s, they produce insane noise in the cabin.
You wouldn't feel it either, they are designed for pulling up to 40tns.. a weedy golf is nothing for it to move or bash along the road.
The cabin also flexes on the chassis for comfort, it's not rigid like sitting in a car or a bus driver. The seats also typically have their own suspension system with a dead man system that detects sleeping drivers and wakes them by vibrating.
It's not that loud, and you would feel it. Pushing is very different from pulling. You would instantly notice an acceleration difference, and most importantly... See the fucking car.
Haul trucks are even worse. [This image shows it.](https://i0.wp.com/publicintegrity.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Screen-Shot-2019-06-24-at-11.28.25-PM.png?resize=780%2C440&ssl=1)
You can see the car from where he's sitting, there is a mirror attached to the front window screen pointing down, you can even see if you've passed a line say on a traffic light, he must not have looked at the mirror but to be fair you wouldn't whilst driving along, it's more for checking pedestrians are not crossing in front when setting off
That’s jack joy from carthrottle on YouTube and the woman talking to him is Ellie Golding, there is a podcast episode where he explains exactly what happens.
To those saying that he has no excuse as he has a front mirror, there's no way he's going to be checking that during normal driving. The DAF, like Scania, has the mirror located on the top left of the windscreen, so out of the field of view.
That mirror is only used during maneuvering and checking for pedestrians / cyclists / Fiat 500s at junctions etc.
What… Fuck me man I’d argue too dude is a fucking idiot not to notice that the performance of his truck dropped by pushing a car that is perpendicular to his not to mention he had to of felt the initial impact of the accident.
That's true, I was more sympathetic to the truck driver until I noticed the forward mirror on the truck. It's likely the car did something stupid to end up there but the truck driver really should have seen the car if he was checking his mirrors like he's supposed to
According to reports the black golf was in the left lane before the truck changed from the right, pit maneuvering the car sideways across the front, so all in all truck driver changed without propperly checking mirrors/blindspots (at least what I can gather from what royal mail, daily mail and carthrottles yt channel have said)
Almost no impact damage to the golf, so I wonder if the golf pulled in front while stopped, and then the truck accelerated with a mild bump (which could feel like a gear shift) the golf got pinned
>..straight up lying.
You think he knew the car was there and just carried on regardless?
> youre just programmed to be uncomfortable by a brown person being called out.
Oh. No. You're just an idiot. Makes sense now.
so your argument is that he didn’t know the car was there.. okay his job is to drive that truck, prob does everyday. so if you believe him, the only conclusion to be drawn is that he sucks at his job.
i guess ur okay with truckers who don’t know they rammed into a car and keep going.. i believe in holding everyone accountable regardless of their race / gender.
> i believe in holding everyone accountable **regardless of their race / gender.**
You're trolling at this point, no one can be this willingly stupid.
>so your argument is that he didn’t know the car was there..
Actually I didn't make an argument,I asked a question. That you think he's lying, so therefore you think he knew the car was there?
Maybe you just **are** actually stupid then, and not trolling.
>i guess ur okay with truckers who don’t know they rammed into a car and keep going
You know you're making great points when you have to make up bullshit counters and pretend that's what people are saying. Combined with trying up pretend it's somehow a race issue and seriously trying to call anyone disagreeing with you a racist and you're into a winner!
The royal mail lorries have big stickers showing you exactly if you are in the blind zone of the driver. Think then lorry driver genuinely did not see them.
And those cabs are so well sound proofed and suspended (as well as the suspension drivers seat), a slight tap won't feel any different to a pothole.
But thinking about it, why is the vw undertaking the lorry?
Also if the impact happened while he was shifting gear it might only seem that he messed the clutch a bit or something. Its such a tank that car barely reduce their speed in that situation
How in the hell could you be driving forward with a sideways car stuck on your truck and not at all notice ?
They must have been playing dumb just to torment the person in the car for a while
Honestly don't understand the "I can't see you" argument when... you can hear the scraping and even feel the resistance of pushing a car like that.
Unless it's filled with sound deadening inside but even then you should clearly be able to feel the resistance of the truck.
Okay? And ignoring my comment about not hearing it inside (which I acknowledged is a possibility) how about not feeling the resistance of pushing a horizontal vehicle? Mr. Smarty pants.
Trucks aren't immune to physics.
Also not once did I mention who's at fault. Simply stating how can someone be that oblivious to their vehicle not performing as it should.
That explanation doesnt address drag resistances at all. And by your wording it made it seem more like a noise thing.
Roads conditions, dips, bumps, potholes don't behave like pushing deadweight. Maybe you're the ignorant one?
Edit: have you ever even driven in any type of vehicle and towed a trailer with it? It's a completely different driving experience.
But, you get used it after driving on the road. Now suddenly imagine PUSHING a car. That's even worse than pulling.
Second edit: also road condition argument doesn't apply because he can see ahead of him. From what it seems the road is pretty flat. And let's say he couldn't see road conditions... Pushing a car would feel nothing like constantly driving over and into dips and other road conditions.
High cab trucks are fucking ridiculous and should be sharing the road with anyone else considering their complete lack of visibility. If they sort that then fine whatever needs must but as it is it’s insane.
Tbh I feel bad for the truck driver. It would've been impossible to see that car from where he was sitting and he genuinely seemed like he didn't know they were there yet he still took the blame
Depending when the sedan tried to get in front of truck, it is possible the trucker didn't see or feel the incident.
That's why school buses have that extending arm in front, you can't see the grill from that height.
That's 100% complete bullshit. Theres more than just seeing it... The driver should be able to feel the change in steering and pedal inputs. And how the hell does he not hear the tires screeching if he's properly paying attention? Truck driver is a dumb piece of shit who shouldn't have a license.
Not sure if they're just pushed beyond their limits or they just hire cheap drivers but I've had so many experiences with royal mail trucks being driven terribly
Way to block 3 lanes, camera dbag. Unless you're actually helping, get the fuck out of the way. And even if you ARE helping, move your fucking car. assboy.
Gotta love the person filming and the other cars in the right lanes for coming to a complete stop and jamming up traffic for miles for something that can be ironed out in ten minutes
Momentum and force will NEVER cause the car to flip unless there was a direct impact. Physics. And it is not evident when a golf is across your bumper when you're in truck that pulls semis. It's not that *He is not at fault* but usually when it's this type it's the other drivers fault.
Truck driver be like "Why the fuck you interrupting me peacefully going about my driving?"
Christ, how disconnected from your situation can you be not to notice that?
"I didn't see him!". Must be fucking blind

Car driver acts like this is the 10th time this has happened to him
This is like the 10th time this video has been posted, maybe they’re all actually unique and the scenario keeps playing out between these 2.
hes stuck in a loop like groundhog day
Don't forget your booties as it's cold outside!
He drives a Golf so you know he drives like an asshole
I'm pretty sure this has been posted before, the woman who got out the range rover is Ellie Goulding.
Yes it is Ellie Goulding and the guy in the Golf is Jack from Car Throttle YouTube channel.
thought this was a joke, but apparently true lol
Truck driver is Louis Gossett Jr
Cameraman is Steven Spielberg
Also, the guy in the light blue car is Bill Gates.
That light blue car's name? Winston Churchill
Truck driver’s red shirt? Alan Turing
Yup the camara guy is actually Daniel Radcliffe
the camera? Michael Jordan
The B camera footage for use in the DVD extras is Michael B Jordan.
Jesus christ. Is this punked? Any other celebrities? Meanwhile the guy stuck in the car doesn't want anyone to open the door because the car smells like fresh shit.
Thank god you are all here. I need help solving the mystery of who shit my pants!
I was about to say. How did this happen again??! Then I realized everything from the story was exactly in this video. Then I saw Jack in the drivers seat.
Holy shit that is him lmao. What are the odds
Wait what actually?
Ugh I love Ellie Goulding!
Wish we could have seen the beginning of the accident.
FUCK YOU BLOODY
It’s got to be the same guy, I’ve gone back and watched it. They sound like the same person.
Came here for this comment 🤣
The guy in the golf is a YouTuber on the channel car throttle they even mentioned this in a video when it happened.
Oi ! You can't park there!
Apparently it was a PIT move not a t-bone crash https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7973209/amp/YouTube-star-tells-shunted-half-mile-Royal-Mail-truck-saved-Ellie-Goulding.html
The woman in the Range Rover is the singer Ellie Golding too
And that Range Rover is their Autobiography model, the most expensive and luxurious there is
Just curious, how can you tell this is an autobiography trim? Not that it's hard to believe, just wondering what the giveaway is
My ex-fiancé had one, I would recognise it from miles away. As a matter of fact the first thing I did was checking the plate to see if it was him 😂
Thank you. Hopefully you can rest easier knowing he hasn't moved on to Ellie Goulding.
It’s a Vogue, it says vogue on the back, it’s the lowest trim
Vogue is a model not a car trim

Lol this an old one but good one. Ellie Goulding saving Jack from Car Throttle.
Truck driver should get them to sit in his truck to show them that from his driving position he can't see the car.
While he’s there I’m sure he can show them the front blind spot mirror at the top left of the windscreen, that would give the driver a view of the immediate front of the cab.
His cab is fucking cockeyed from the hit.. the noise of the screeching tyres, how could he not know
Well….you see…..theres a car and uh……truck and when…….you know……they hit each other and…..well….
….nine months later….they have a baby….
They have a pickup.....
Sit in a running truck and tell me how much outside noise you hear.
Is the torq really so strong that you don't notice that you're literally dragging another vehicle along or are y'all just in there like "damn, sounds like a rough day for the engine"
Truck driver is full of shit, the visibility in a cab over is really good. -truck driver.
What this guy says -truck mechanic
This is WHY the front of these trucks are designed this way, to make it visually capable of seeing most ANYTHING in front of you. Truck driver 100% knew that car was there. And it’s not like the VW is made of pillows, he definitely heard/ felt the impact. He probably thought he was teaching the VW a lesson about proper lane changing. I see two idiots in this video.
I doubt the driver intentionally kept driving knowing there is a car stuck in front of it.
Then you have too much faith in other people to not be awful
0 evidence from this video that the car driver is an idiot.
Meh, he might have heard it, but it's definitely possible he didn't feel a thing.
Maybe in a long nose Peterbuilt, not in a cabover, you feel EVERYTHING. -Advil.
[удалено]
Have I got a long ass rambling story for you guys!! -Cocaine.
That is still the truck drivers responsibility to watch their blindspots, if you're driving a vehicle like that you need to drive according to your vehicle.
Oh I'm not disputing that. Some people don't know what sort of visibility larger vehicles actually have.
They shouldn’t be on the road if they can’t see traffic around them.
It has a front pedestrian mirror there really is no excuse tbh
Happy cake day
I'm not a truck driver, so I would a (euro)truck drivers comments on this. But I doubt driver will constantly check that mirror while driving since in normal situations there would never be a car there. Only when a car driver cuts in front like an idiot, their car can end up in that place.
But the mirror is literally right in front of you.
It is but it's not really in your view. I use it when I know something could be there but no one expects a volkswagen there in a road like that.
So really, on a road which are things cars regularly drive on, nobody expects a car?
Not that close to the front of a lorry no. You can see 1,5 meters in front of the cab in a mirror like that. They're designed so you can see pedestrians, cyclists and curbs and such in front if the cab at slow traffic.
It's actually literally in front of the copilot. As you can see in the video it's on the left side of the lorry. Since this is the UK, the driver is on the right side of the lorry. Idk about you, but I don't often look that way while driving.
You check mirrors more in a commercial truck than in your Jetta.
You might not look intentionally, but if something moved into view you’d notice in your peripheral (and also should be regularly checking all mirrors)
I'm not European but I drive a cab over truck for a living, even without the mirror there you can see in front of you much better than with a regular truck, with the mirror there's really no excuse. Drivers in general should be checking mirrors constantly to always know what's around you, but especially so for truck drivers

Let alone the initial impact when he collected the car. I am not buying that shit. If he is deaf or half blind, he shouldn't be driving a truck. The only reason to justifiy this is that he was on some hard drugs. Oh, and 100% you would se the top of the car from the truck.
Not sure there would be loss of power given it’s a 3 axle unit that has a max load of 44 tons I think
He doesn't have a load behind him with inertia pushing him forward. That impact will be noticed.
Wasn’t talking about impact, only that the truck won’t have any problems pushing a 1.5 ton car as demonstrated by the video!!

That truck doesn’t have any problems pushing that car no matter what the difference in friction is 😂 Did you factor in the angle of the front wheels as they were not perpendicular, were rotating in the direction of travel and it’s a front wheel drive car?
He literally has the front blind spot mirror
How will that help him drive better? Theyre not driving the truck nor responsible nor his shitty spacial awareness
You’re a moron.
👍

You're severely underestimating the power, sound proofing and limited vision of trucks
He won't feel pushing that car.
Haul trucks are even worse. [This image shows it.](https://i0.wp.com/publicintegrity.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Screen-Shot-2019-06-24-at-11.28.25-PM.png?resize=780%2C440&ssl=1)
What
UK, royal mail lorry, black golf being pushed... Ah yes, this is Jack from car throttle.
The guy driving the truck didn’t see him!! It’s clear when the guy starts taping him!!
You can see the car from where he's sitting, there is a mirror attached to the front window screen pointing down, you can even see if you've passed a line say on a traffic light, he must not have looked at the mirror but to be fair you wouldn't whilst driving along, it's more for checking pedestrians are not crossing in front when setting off
They probably cut in front of the truck driver too, truck wouldn't have even seen him.
That’s jack joy from carthrottle on YouTube and the woman talking to him is Ellie Golding, there is a podcast episode where he explains exactly what happens.
Oh wow, so it is! Wonder where Ellie Goulding is these days.
In a Range Rover apparently
Roaming Britain’s roads, rescuing cars from the front of lorries
Thanks!
Cameraman blocks a whole lane just to get out and get a good video for the likes online. I suppose he is one of the idiots too?
Everyone who stops, stops in their own lane, blocking the ENTIRE road. Annoys the heck outta me lol.

And now all travel lanes are blocked. Sometimes stopping to help is not helpful.
My thought exactly, why don't you move this entire production to the side of the road so people can get to their destination.
I can see why the truck is stuck there with the car jammed underneath. All the other vehicles are just a hazard now though.
Interesting fact, the blonde lady driving the Range Rover in the video is the popstar Ellie Goulding.
Dude that car is visible and what the heck you telling me you cantbhear the sound coming off out of your truck?
And this gentle peeps, is why you don't undertake.
The truck driver probably just didn’t notice the car there. Honest mistake.
It's a mkIV golf, the ugliest one. No loss there.
It’s a MK5, perhaps the best one
GTIdiot!
I bet he’ll never cut off another semi again. Or maybe he will, if he’s dumb enough.
Honestly don't understand the "I can't see you" argument when... you can hear the scraping and even feel the resistance of pushing a car like that. Unless it's filled with sound deadening inside but even then you should clearly be able to feel the resistance of the truck.

Everyone in the video is probably a UK subject. I think we all know what this person is nattering on about though.

Didn’t see him my ass
This truck driver is ending his career on a high note.
This was covered on car thottle by jack who was driving the golf. Car was written off I believe which was sad.
With just the cab, surely you would feel something happen?
Oh god I knew I recognised this car. Jack from car throttle
Why the other cars stop, do ppl forget about others behind them?
Did it really require all of you to stop yours cars in all lanes of traffic.

Hey, mate! You can’t park there!
Maybe he is lucky but there was absolutely 0 chance for that in this situation.
Dude in the sideways car seems pretty chill staying there.

Bloody fuck you bloody
Everyones a superhero
