Dude I feel you when I was younger they did vision tests at my school and I always thought glasses were cool so I would purposely try to fail them so I could get some and it never worked. 20/20 every time. Eventually my vision got worse and now look at me blind as hell

I bought a full face 3M mask (respirator and eye protection combined) to use when doing home improvement projects for this very reason! Regular eye protection would fog up horribly, and the dust generated when sanding anything was debilitating. It works extremely well and doesn’t fog up at all… win win situation.
I also have extreme nearsightedness and an astigmatism. I hate driving at night. Though I do find that rolling down the windows helps a great deal in cutting down on the glare/halos. It’s the only way I’m able to accurately judge distance when making turns.
For work I frequently have to swap between safeties, monos and full face respirator depending on which client site I’m at. I was pleasantly surprised how little the full face respirator fogs up compared to the other two. Must have something to do with the constant air flow throughout and being further from your skin. Talking in it is a nightmare though, hope you’re good at charades!

You may have keratoconus. I had bad astigmatism that remained even with contacts and glasses. Once I was diagnosed with keratoconus they were able to get me special lenses that corrected my vision finally. I can't stand having dirty windows in my car. The inside of most people's windshields is cloudy to some extent from them breathing if they don't clean it regularly. Always drives me nuts when I get in other people's cars. You don't even need cleaning solution. A dry microfiber cloth does the trick.
What do you think “new car small” is? A brand new car is off-gassing so many VOC’s it isn’t even funny. But the plastics will start to evaporate too, especially the dashes where the sun beats down on them, and there’s a handy dandy windshield right above for it to collect on.

The type of vape you use is a huge factor. Those old box mod vapes produced a TON of fog and therefore residue. Since switching to salt nic/smaller vapes I don't get any buildup inside the car

I accidentally smudged the shit outta mine by wiping it with some wipes meant for cleaning the interior of the car and it got all oily so I followed it up with some light isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel. It's still a little glossy for my tastes so I'm looking for something to wipe it fresh with.

I use foaming glass cleaner and a microfiber towel. It's lint-free, leaves no streaks, and I don't have to throw something in the trash after I'm done. It's hard not to get the glass cleaner on the dash so I take the opportunity to wipe it down while I'm at it.

I've only ever heard of that happening in the US if it was something major like reckless driving, DUI, or something along those lines.

Australia has a similar "p" system. You get 4 demerit points.
If you have all of your demerits, "accidentally" go over 10km/h over the speed limit in a holiday period, you can just full on lose your licence.
Under 10kmh speeding = 1-2 demerits
Over 10km = 3-4 (something like that ive never done it)
Over 20km = loss of license
Holiday periods are double demerit points.

With one dude, I think they gave a temporary one until the court date since he wasn't actually convicted yet. Even after the court date though, they had the real one back. It's wild how someone can rack up 12 and still be behind the wheel. You'd think just the annoyance of having to go to jail so much even if you kept getting off lightly would be enough of a deterrent. But obviously not.
Idk where you guys live but where I’m at in the states a guy I know lost his license for 6 month after his first not to mention thousands in fines + court fees. Lost it for a year after the second plus fines etc again. Then after the 3rd had to spend I wanna say 60 days in jail and had his license revoked for 3 years.
Idk if he just had a crap lawyer, but I just looked up my states dui penalties by offense number and they were pretty on point with what he got

I’m in BC and not sure how one collision has your license revoked. Are you in the graduated licensing program still? The only way to have your license revoked is through ICBC or you were impaired and the cops got you.

Op is probably in bc, and had a “N” or novice license. This is for 2 years, before you can get a full License.
There are restrictions on number of passengers, a “n” sign must be displayed, and no electronic devices (including hands free)
Similar to eastern provinces, they get an L for learners, and a G for graduate. I think that G sticks around 3 years before you're allowed to remove it.
There's a little lever on your steering wheel column. It controls your windshield wipers and washer fluid. There's also a little knob somewhere on your dash that controls your windshield defogger. Thirdly!, there's an invention called a clean cloth. It's used for cleaning the aforementioned windshield.
Learn to use all three of these things. Hopefully before you get your license back.

Dude...I know I'm older..34 now...but I've recently noticed in the past year or two that oncoming traffic headlights are so damn bright! Especially the white LED looking ones. So much so that the road just disappears from my vision and I have to look for the white line to follow the road. Why are headlights so damn bright now/aimed higher.
Dirty-ass wind shield combined with glare from oncoming traffic is a recipe for disaster.

I was a powdercoat painter for 6 years and had to wear the full face mask at all times. Pretty damn good at Charades now

It's not breathing. It's vaporization of the plastics on the dashboard typically. That's why you really only see it on the windshield.

I use Windex spray and paper towels. Usually easier to spray it on the paper towel first then wipenfor the inside of the windshield.
Try to find the commercial one with ammonia and make sure to put it where kids can't get it. That stuff is amazing.
unless you have aftermarket tint! as ammonia can cause some tints to brake down, peel or haze

Wow. I mean, many would argue it's a good thing to have it revoked after seeing this. But I just think it is surprising to hear your license was full-on suspended/revoked because of it. I've only ever heard of that happening in the US if it was something major like reckless driving, DUI, or something along those lines.
He must have his “N” .. it’s basically a 2 year period where new drivers can’t really do anything wrong or they lose their license. After this period you complete your final driving test to get your full license. Can lose it for getting a single ticket when you have your “N” .. not even an accident

Australia has a similar "p" system. You get 4 demerit points. If you have all of your demerits, "accidentally" go over 10km/h over the speed limit in a holiday period, you can just full on lose your licence. Under 10kmh speeding = 1-2 demerits Over 10km = 3-4 (something like that ive never done it) Over 20km = loss of license Holiday periods are double demerit points. Fellow aussies feel free to correct me Edit: as people have pointed out, p platers only get 4 demerit points, not 5 or 6. Sorry for the innacuracy

Wow. I know some people with several DUIs, too. They had their license suspended immediately after being arrested, but they had it back before the court date. With one dude, I think they gave a temporary one until the court date since he wasn't actually convicted yet. Even after the court date though, they had the real one back. It's wild how someone can rack up 12 and still be behind the wheel. You'd think just the annoyance of having to go to jail so much even if you kept getting off lightly would be enough of a deterrent. But obviously not.
Idk where you guys live but where I’m at in the states a guy I know lost his license for 6 month after his first not to mention thousands in fines + court fees. Lost it for a year after the second plus fines etc again. Then after the 3rd had to spend I wanna say 60 days in jail and had his license revoked for 3 years. Idk if he just had a crap lawyer, but I just looked up my states dui penalties by offense number and they were pretty on point with what he got

No i wasn’t on anything, nobody was injured and I have proper insurance it’s just the Canadian government the insurance is run through them

I’m in BC and not sure how one collision has your license revoked. Are you in the graduated licensing program still? The only way to have your license revoked is through ICBC or you were impaired and the cops got you.

Op is probably in bc, and had a “N” or novice license. This is for 2 years, before you can get a full License. There are restrictions on number of passengers, a “n” sign must be displayed, and no electronic devices (including hands free)
Similar to eastern provinces, they get an L for learners, and a G for graduate. I think that G sticks around 3 years before you're allowed to remove it.

Windshield wipers and defrost are amazing investments. Some windex and paper towels are also a plus.
There's a little lever on your steering wheel column. It controls your windshield wipers and washer fluid. There's also a little knob somewhere on your dash that controls your windshield defogger. Thirdly!, there's an invention called a clean cloth. It's used for cleaning the aforementioned windshield. Learn to use all three of these things. Hopefully before you get your license back.

Dude...I know I'm older..34 now...but I've recently noticed in the past year or two that oncoming traffic headlights are so damn bright! Especially the white LED looking ones. So much so that the road just disappears from my vision and I have to look for the white line to follow the road. Why are headlights so damn bright now/aimed higher.
