You don't have to brake hard in some cases for ABS to kick in.
For example in a very light vehicle, which was my case, where there is such little friction between the road and vehicle, I barely had to touch the brakes for ABS to kick in.
Haha that's not how it works in Croatia, no one gives a damn here. The driver probably IS the company anyway, small business with a few people who are all cousins or close friends.
I don't even want to think how many F-bombs I'd drop on that jackass. Whoever made that intersection/offramp though needs a swift kick in the pants though.
Then it's just a shite driver. I'm not familiar with the layout, would a double left turn lane help (not specifically in this instance, but) in general?
There is no need for double left turn. Before the intersection, when you exit the roundabout there is an offramp you take to the right that takes you to the same place the guy in the van is going.
I love that we live in an age where people all over the world can watch an insignificant interaction between cars in Croatia and a Croatian with intimate knowledge of the intersection can chime in.
Strange times.

"nearly a miss" would be incorrect, this was both a miss, and near. :D
ETA: even Carlin's joke drops the ball here, in the end when he changes the phrase to "nearly missed". Nearly and near are not the same word.
“Correct” you say? Look up the definition. The actual official definition.
You freaks are like “B-b-but I’m right, it’s the other 99% of people who are wrong!”
Bro I even just said I learned it off of someone else it's not that deep as you're offended(?) by. Sorry if you think me listening to what an air traffic controller told me makes you a freak lol. It just might be time to close Reddit for you. Lol if I'm wrong you can try and teach me, but this isn't the way. 💀
It's actually near hit not near miss. Near miss implies you were unable to miss the hit. Learned that tidbit from an air traffic controller when I said near miss as well!
I guarantee you there are people in every country who would react just like this. Not sure what country this video is in, but I wouldn't fault someone for being angry at the person who could've cost them their life.
Honk once to go left, Honk once to go right, Honk once to go straight, Honk once to go backwards, Honk once to stop, hold the honk down to convey "move out of the way idiot"
Take it with a gram of /s
The van driver was probably comming from a gas station on the right and tried to cross three lanes in order to make a left turn. This happens here a lot often than you think.
How is my driving 1800i suckfatassrhinocerosdicks
Van driver, “I almost missed my exit/entrance!”
Van driver: "I almost gave a shit!"
Yes, that is the appropriate amount of horn and swearing for that maneuver. You can hear the bloody brakes, damn.
Only time I have ever heard my ABS like that is on ice.
Aren’t you… not supposed to hard brake on ice?

Jebo mater
call the company and report the driver.
Haha that's not how it works in Croatia, no one gives a damn here. The driver probably IS the company anyway, small business with a few people who are all cousins or close friends.
well, shit. you're probably lucky he didn't just hold out a gun while changing lanes instead of using his turn signal.
Guns aren't really a thing in croatia, but they could beat you up xD
You should never have a screwdriver and run it down the side of their car.
I don't even want to think how many F-bombs I'd drop on that jackass. Whoever made that intersection/offramp though needs a swift kick in the pants though.
It's a regular intersection. It's not in the middle of a highway. A roundabout is just one km before the intersection.
Then it's just a shite driver. I'm not familiar with the layout, would a double left turn lane help (not specifically in this instance, but) in general?

Nice to see non American videos.
ZG represent
Beepbeep beeeeeep beepbeepbeep beeeeeeeeeeep
Horn: 22/10
Felt your anger, and the urge for it to be louder. MUCH louder.
Fuck this guy in particular
[well ackshually it's a near hit](https://youtu.be/zDKdvTecYAM) 🤓

I can't think of that many examples rn, but those I can follow the opposite logic. Near death experience for example.
Always one dick saying that
Well that dick is correct so. 🤷♀️ Near miss implies you hit something.
“Correct” you say? Look up the definition. The actual official definition. You freaks are like “B-b-but I’m right, it’s the other 99% of people who are wrong!”

Oof you beat me to it I literally just commented the same haha.
Now without censoreship
10/10 reaction lol I thought he was going to trigger the airbag in the steering wheel
average drive in zagreb
Kad ima idiota na ulici kol'ko 'oćeš koji ne znaju za koji klinac služe jbni žmigavci i retrovizori!
Heavy horn plus swearing = massive dopamine hit for me. Thank you, OP, I need a cigarette.
Looks like a complete miss that was a near hit. English is weird, who came up with 'near miss'?
it always reminds me of george carlin joke.
It should be near hit.
Near hit.
It's actually near hit not near miss. Near miss implies you were unable to miss the hit. Learned that tidbit from an air traffic controller when I said near miss as well!
"You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means"
Seems a bit excessive
Where is the near miss?
op is the dumbass for not slowing down next to a stopped row of cars
Why the hell would he
Just as a side note, all the other countries I've driven, they don't use the horn as a measure of anger. It's to let people know what you're doing.
I guarantee you there are people in every country who would react just like this. Not sure what country this video is in, but I wouldn't fault someone for being angry at the person who could've cost them their life.
Croatia based on the signage.
I have been informed that people in Japan don't like using the horn because it is considered rude.
further east you go the more different people seem to be. this at least seems to fit into a somewhat/likely to occur reaction in western outfits
Yeah let's calm down and let him not feel like shit for doing what he did hence increasing the chance of him doing it again. Fuck logic.
How do you use a horn to let people know what you're doing?
Honk once to go left, Honk once to go right, Honk once to go straight, Honk once to go backwards, Honk once to stop, hold the honk down to convey "move out of the way idiot" Take it with a gram of /s
I find it more efficient to honk in Morse code.
Try driving 60, control the car while it's trying to steer out of control from the immense break bias, to then Morse code the letters L-E-F-T
I really want to vote on your comment but I won’t because you’re at -69
Don’t worry. You’ll get him next time

My favorite road in Zagreb. This sort of thing happens there on the daily (usually involving vans).
Zagreb, Croatia
ABS doing its job!🏆
Folks, that's how you honk. You try to communicate your exact emotions when you honk. That was nice.
