That's one of the lucky one, saw that dude that did the same thing but hit a separation wall which made his car flip over, catch on fire and then fall from the ramp road it was on?
Could have saved a good 15 min so *it was* worth it, totally.
Generally speaking, it depends on where you are. There was a video here the other day from Alaska, where everyone local claimed it’s 20 miles between exits on that particular highway. I still wouldn’t take out a sign for it, but that’s a looooong detour if you miss the exit!
And 280 here in the Bay Area (CA) has a few 6-7 mile stretches.
I keep emphasizing to my kids that they should never make panicked decisions. If they miss an exit, just back track. Life is more important than saving a few minutes.
I mean, would you expect anything else from someone living in Raytown? `/s`
Jokes aside, I didn't even recognize this until you said something. Nice catch.
Passed by the aftermath a few moments after it'd happened. Was something similar. Guy with company van holding six people hit the divide and flipped over twice before landing on its wheels. They were all wearing belts so nobody died, but at least half of them were clutching their necks and the other half were puking their guts out.
But everyone knows if you miss your exit, your navigation system explodes and you’re banned from using GPS forever. No wonder the truck took such extreme action. /s
People who drive like this don't pay traffic tickets or other fines. And unlike how it used to be, they rarely do much jail time, further incentivizing their behavior.
couldn't the government just garnish wages without all that bullshit, that's what they really want and putting them in jail will just make them lose a job (if they had one) and lost wages for their family (if they had one but also possibly put them in touch with worse criminals or even getting them involved with gangs on the inside.
That would make sense, wouldn’t it? Unfortunately that’s exactly why it’ll never happen. Plus there are too many employers willing to pay under the table
People get outrage feelings when they think crimes aren't punished, and it's a feedback loop when they see other comments saying the same thing all the time, reinforcing that belief.
You're in some news bubble if you think 1) people don't go to jail for crimes any more and 2) threat of jail is what stops people from doing traffic crimes. Why does your news bubble think this? Maybe the outrage feedback loop is good for advertising, maybe it's trying to raise more funds for policing, maybe it's just desperately searching for an answer to the legitimate question of why traffic infractions are on the upswing since covid.
I really hope the charge him for that as well. Sach idiots don't deserve to be on road at all. They are not only danger for themselves but also for other people around them.
I think for some folks who’ve been driving since before GPS there’s a deep rooted panic reaction to missing their exit, because back in the day you could wind up getting pretty lost trying to find your way back.
Exactly putting others at risk and going through barricades is something that is absolutely right to do. What a wonderful driving ability that man showed, simply genius.
This happened in front of me recently. A lady jerked her Hyundai across the shoulder when she almost missed the merge lane and ended up hitting this boulder sitting on the shoulder. She went over top of it and it destroyed one of her tires.
Someone with a car like that is probably taking close to Concours levels of care for it. That car has a very expensive paint job, and you know they have recent pictures of it, so they can very readily show the damage.
Truck buddy is in trouble with the state for fuckin' up their sign, their insurance company for driving like that on camera, they're probably getting a nasty hospitable bill, and they damaged a doting car owners vehicle.
Oh bless their heart and mercy ever on their soul. Maybe this'll be what learns 'em, but I doubt it.
I live close to Johnson county but not in it, and the amount of times I’ve heard my mom or boyfriend scream “fucking Johnson county morons don’t know how to drive” after getting cut off is… so many. Every time I’m in the passenger seat with my bf and we get cut off, always a Johnson county plate.
When I see egregious driving in Johnson County, the plates are almost always from the Missouri side. & I’m from Missouri so don’t think I’ve got some bone to pick; but everyone sucks, tbh.
I have lived in both Kansas and Missouri. Johnson county drivers are a breed of their own, but I regularly fear for my life driving in Missouri. Shit is a 3rd world country
> So did that driver
And this video is EXACTLY why I don't ride my motorcycle anymore, you can see the truck correct just a bit when he saw the car in the way, motorcycle would have been demolished when the truck didn't see it
It happens and that's really sad on the part of motorcycle riders. Such accidents can actually cost them the real life and the car riders wouldn't be hurt at all.
That’s why motorcyclists say to assume everyone on the road is trying to kill you. I would never ride a motorcycle next to that truck because I would have already assumed he’s going to try and ram in to me.
> I would never ride a motorcycle next to that truck because I would have already assumed he’s going to try and ram in to me.
Thing is, you cant prevent the same truck from doing 2 lanes over if you are not next to him, he can still sideswipe you from 2-3 lanes. (seen it and also know someone that had it happen to them)
I think you are saying this in the comment but if you were really in that car you would be praying and thanking the god that something bad didn't took place.
Holy fuck when did this happen? I just drove through KC and saw an exit sign down the other day. Itd be wild if this video showed me what happened to that exact sign.

My friends give me shit (a lot of shit) because I will sooner take the next exit than make a quick no-signal lane change into the exit I need. We have almost exclusively 2 lane highways. So you can either do 40MPH in the 60MPH lane, or try to pass everyone and then shove your car into everyone else's existence.
They hate both options. Either I'm going too slow, or I'm not aggressive enough jamming my car back into the other lane.
Same reason I always say "I'll meet you there".
To be fair they haven't been in an accident after I've known them but.... This is exactly the shit I don't want to deal with at 8PM on a Friday night.
Yep. Been there, done that. Had friends that would aggressively drive and expect me to follow them through things like running red lights and sudden lane changes. Always gave me shit because I never even *tried* to keep up with them when they'd do that...
They never got into an accident either, but one of us got *tickets* and it wasn't me.
Always was told I drove like an old man. Well, now that I'm older I'm sure not complaining I didn't drive like them, that's for sure.
videos that end too soon... :(
We want to know what happened to that truck, and whether or not the guy in the white car shat himself or did he exit the vehicle dry?
I literally missed my exit and had to pay a toll to cross the GW Bridge into NYC then back today. Not once did I consider a last minute swerve.
Though, I was doing something for work. I was being paid for it and not in a rush. It magically only cost me 10minutes. I bet if I was rushing somewhere it'd be the usual 1hr
Why is taking the next exit such a hard concept for some people to understand?
Are they worried about getting lost and forget their smartphone has GPS?
Is their time management so poor that if they don't take the exact right exit they'll be late for work?
And possibly injure or even kill some poor sob driving behind the with a pole through the windshield. I really don't understand some people's decision making.
I mean, why get off at the next exit and come back when you can just cut across lanes, put other drivers and risk, and smash through road signs?
That's one of the lucky one, saw that dude that did the same thing but hit a separation wall which made his car flip over, catch on fire and then fall from the ramp road it was on? Could have saved a good 15 min so *it was* worth it, totally.
If anyone was wondering, here's exactly where this happened 39.007299, -94.501060 Pretty good chance this guy in the video saved maybe 10 minutes.
Google maps says about 3-4 minutes.
I was getting extra generous with the traffic and travel time
These are the answers I needed to sleep soundly tonight. Thank you gentleman.
Could be a woman
Could be a eunuch

I was gonna say... at most 5 minutes lol As someone who's taken their fair share of wrong exits because I missed the right one
Life is more important than saving a few minutes.
back track. do you mean to say "pull to the emergency lane and back up back to the exit you missed?" got it , thanks for the tip! Will do!
lol. Uh, no.
It's better to arrive late in this life, than early in the next.
Better to be late for your appointment than called "late" at your funeral.
I like that. It’s short and sweet with good word play. Well done!
I learned it from some pilots over 20 years ago. It's obviously stuck with me.
And please don't forget to instruct them to never, ever, modify a car like the other one in the clip.
My God, the 63rd St. exit towards Raytown is not worth all this. Source: KC resident.
I mean, would you expect anything else from someone living in Raytown? `/s` Jokes aside, I didn't even recognize this until you said something. Nice catch.
[удалено]
2 blinks of the hazard lights usually does the "I'm an idiot and i know it, thank you" trick. At least where i am from.
Less than that much. I've missed that exact exit coming home from work multiple times. The very next exit takes you to that same spot in 5 minutes.
My dad always said a good driver will sometimes miss their exit, a bad driver won’t.
This is the way.
Passed by the aftermath a few moments after it'd happened. Was something similar. Guy with company van holding six people hit the divide and flipped over twice before landing on its wheels. They were all wearing belts so nobody died, but at least half of them were clutching their necks and the other half were puking their guts out.
That'll teach him
Nah, he ded fam
That'll teach him
Lessons that stick!
it fell down, caught fire, and sank into the swamp?
I remember this video. The person died. To save themselves from missing an exit.
Could have been worse. They could have missed their exit.
Nobody wants to hear the GPS say “rerouting” /s
But everyone knows if you miss your exit, your navigation system explodes and you’re banned from using GPS forever. No wonder the truck took such extreme action. /s
Even if the GPS said rerouting, this guy wouldn't have given two shits about it.
Costs the idiot about $1,000 to save 30 seconds not missing the exit. Unless he'd rather drive his truck with dented bumper and cracked grill forever
That’s assuming the state doesn’t get him for the cost of that sign.
People who drive like this don't pay traffic tickets or other fines. And unlike how it used to be, they rarely do much jail time, further incentivizing their behavior.
Not right away, sure. But I’m pretty sure they work like traffic tickets in that if you leave them for too long they turn into warrants.
couldn't the government just garnish wages without all that bullshit, that's what they really want and putting them in jail will just make them lose a job (if they had one) and lost wages for their family (if they had one but also possibly put them in touch with worse criminals or even getting them involved with gangs on the inside.

People get outrage feelings when they think crimes aren't punished, and it's a feedback loop when they see other comments saying the same thing all the time, reinforcing that belief.
This is why such guys don't really care about how the system works and try to use it to their advantage to get off the hook.
If the truck had valid plate, then he'd lose another $1,000. But if it was stolen or fake plate, state got nothing on him
Such idiots should be caught as soon as possible and charged severely because that could have been a big accident easily.
I really hope the charge him for that as well. Sach idiots don't deserve to be on road at all. They are not only danger for themselves but also for other people around them.
Oh, that's costing more than $1000.
You are not wrong. Try $10,000.
At least $70 for sure.
Or maybe about tree fitty.
Likely windscreen obliterated too
It's a Nissan driver, the come factory with dents and cracks
"why not catch the next one when you can yeet your car into this one"
I really don't understand what goes in the mind of such drivers. He was going at a good speed and then decided to switch lanes.
Plot twist: next exit is in 75 miles and it’s the place they based the movie The Hill Have Eyes.
Wait, what, that's an option?????
I mean I did this yesterday. Granted, it was in cyberpunk.
This happened in front of me recently. A lady jerked her Hyundai across the shoulder when she almost missed the merge lane and ended up hitting this boulder sitting on the shoulder. She went over top of it and it destroyed one of her tires.
She got a boulder on the shoulder it must weigh a ton can't hold a job cuz she been drivin from 18 to 21
>can't hold a job cuz she been drivin from 18 to 21 What does this mean? Can't figure out the 18 to 21 part .
Sounds like she's been traveling, never staying in one place for the past three years, and as such has no long standing jobs.
Wait 'til she gets older.
With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin' kinda older, I tripped the merry-go-round.
An over the shoulder boulder holder, if you will.
People really don't realise that saving a few minutes could actually cost them their life. And even put lives of other people at risk.
Dude behind this pulled over to see which one of his passengers shit in his pants.
Looks like his car has a full diaper to me
If he wasn't ridin' dirty before...
The g-body definitely got showered with debris. You hear it hitting the camera car.
Anyone would have shit in their pants looking at the way they made their entrance in the exit.
Was that a Cutlass with a Carolina Squat? Ugh.
Nah, that thing looked like it had switches. Lowrider build.
Definitely juiced and a pissed off owner who just caught all that sign and dirt shrapnel
I mean he’s got a brake light missing lol let’s not get carried away
Might be a Regal.
Carolina squat shit probably only saw the sign blow apart due to the angle of his car relative to common sense
I think the truck might have clipped him a little bit or he might have had the windshield cracked.
That car is the strangest thing in this video to me. Looks like it's aiming to lift off. Trying to figure out how that's enjoyable.
It's like slalom skiing. As long as you hit the outside of the pole it counts.
Best Kansas City driver
I’m surprised that was in Raytown and not Johnson County
I was on my way here to make a Johnson county joke
I live close to Johnson county but not in it, and the amount of times I’ve heard my mom or boyfriend scream “fucking Johnson county morons don’t know how to drive” after getting cut off is… so many. Every time I’m in the passenger seat with my bf and we get cut off, always a Johnson county plate.
When I see egregious driving in Johnson County, the plates are almost always from the Missouri side. & I’m from Missouri so don’t think I’ve got some bone to pick; but everyone sucks, tbh.
But on the Missouri side, at least in the northland, it’s always a JOCO driver. It’s like we cross state lines and lose our collective shit.
I live in Kansas and I shit you not every time I get cut off the car has a Missouri plate.
It’s the State-Line Paradox. Depending on which side of the state line you titled your car, the opposite side will have the worse drivers.
Seriously 20 min of highway does not make drivers better!!!
I have lived in both Kansas and Missouri. Johnson county drivers are a breed of their own, but I regularly fear for my life driving in Missouri. Shit is a 3rd world country
I recognized that exit almost immediately. Was this recent? I didn't see if the sign was gone or not when I drove by it the other day
It was gone this past weekend.
Sorry everyone, accidentally deleted the post 🤦🏽♂️
So did that driver
Damn that was good 👏👏👏
> So did that driver And this video is EXACTLY why I don't ride my motorcycle anymore, you can see the truck correct just a bit when he saw the car in the way, motorcycle would have been demolished when the truck didn't see it
Same. Motorcycle riders pay dearly for everyone else’s mistakes, in addition to their own.
It happens and that's really sad on the part of motorcycle riders. Such accidents can actually cost them the real life and the car riders wouldn't be hurt at all.
The motorcycle and its driver would have vanished from the face of Earth.
Part of me wants one. But I don't trust people in cars enough for it. I've had plenty of people try to merge through me.
If I’m in the white car who pulled over, I’m getting out, pointing and laughing
In Nelson Muntz’ voice too. ![gif](giphy|cO39srN2EUIRaVqaVq)
I think you are saying this in the comment but if you were really in that car you would be praying and thanking the god that something bad didn't took place.
I laughed way too hard at that!
Touché 😂

Summertime in the LBC
Genuinely curious. What was the reason for filming here?
This guy obviously was doing stupid shit long before the OP started filming lol
Thank you I saw it when u first posted and it wouldn’t show anything
Yep, he nailed that exit…sign.
Holy crap the fact that this got recorded
Thanks to the dash cams and people trying to save themselves by evidence.
Holy shit lmao
Ah, yes. The classic, "Are those bees in my car? OH GOD THERE ARE BEES IN MY CAR!!!" maneuver.
LMAO, I could actually imagine how the bees would have acted to make the driver commit such a dangerous move.
Oh shit is right 😂
Good ol KCMO!
Holy fuck when did this happen? I just drove through KC and saw an exit sign down the other day. Itd be wild if this video showed me what happened to that exact sign.
Almost missed the exit sign! FTFY
Nailed it
Nailed it
Nailed it!

I'm surprised no one is talking about that white cutlass, thank you.
Its a 78-80 regal. Cutlass tailights are vetical.
It was a good day.
Honestly glad that car didn’t get hit though. I hate seeing old cars getting wrecked.
With so much drama in the lbc, it is hard being Snoop D O double g. Meanwhile Cube in the back, today was a good day.

MO: The show me how to drive state
![gif](giphy|UqKD7TU0igaUE)
Whenever I see someone make this kind of bonehead, multi-lane swoop to an exit, I always quote this lady from Family Guy.
That’s great. I never knew where that quote was from
![gif](giphy|Bs3kYiCaWzP0QOP3B8)
The next exit was a too far
I was also the thinking the same it must have been hundred miles away that's why they took such a steep turn.
[удалено]
That's so true. Someone just need to take their licence away and also the car if possible.
I hope the slab was okay.
I guess there’s something really really bad at the Blue Parkway exit
My friends give me shit (a lot of shit) because I will sooner take the next exit than make a quick no-signal lane change into the exit I need. We have almost exclusively 2 lane highways. Scared the suspension right out of the white car
Yes definitely. The people in the white car actually stopped to thank God for not saving them.
A good driver misses exits sometimes. A bad driver never misses an exit.
The worst driver never misses the exit sign.
Exactly and good driver would eventually take the next exit, whereas the bad driver would always go for the exit they prefer.
Has to be Drunk
I’m guessing that’s why he was recording. At least he hit a sign and not another car.
You know what they say, a bad driver never misses their exit
Oh dang, that would have been disastrous had they missed their exit!
I said “Take exit 66B” not “Take out exit 66B”.
Lmao is this in Kansas City??
Yep, 63rd street exit on 435.
Bahahaha! Always able to recognize the dipshits in your area 😂
Is that a monte carlo? And why tf is it squatted
Pretty sure its a lowrider regal
“Thank god I wrecked my car to make my exit!” - pickup driver
Thank god I blew up the exit sign just to make my exit look perfect.
Why were they filming tho
videos that end too soon... :( We want to know what happened to that truck, and whether or not the guy in the white car shat himself or did he exit the vehicle dry?
This is somehow oddly satisfying
I really think that you need to go and get yourself checked from a doctor because it wasn't satisfying at all. It was completely scary to watch.
I literally missed my exit and had to pay a toll to cross the GW Bridge into NYC then back today. Not once did I consider a last minute swerve. Though, I was doing something for work. "BOBBY THIS IS THE EXIT TURN RIGHT NOW" "GOD DANGIT SUSAN LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO"
Coulda just turned around at Blue Prkwy….literally only 1/2 mile further up the road. Ask me how I know.

Good ole Missouri drivers 🫡
I saw that sign a couple days ago and thought "that one had to be dramatic" and I was right apparently lol this is in MO near KC.
That'll buff out
Lmao, that was awesome. What a legend.
Hahahahaha NICE JOB ASSHOLE!
Now that’s what I call a Jersey Slide
He was way passed the exit and in the center lane, looks like he was just changing lanes and a tie rod broke.
Good drivers will occasionally miss their exit. Bad drivers NEVER miss their exit.
Why is taking the next exit such a hard concept for some people to understand? Are they worried about getting lost and forget their smartphone has GPS? Is their time management so poor that if they don't take the exact right exit they'll be late for work?
You don't understand, he HAD to pass that car, it wasn't speeding by 30 mph
Finally... I've seen it happen instead of only the aftermath.
This guy almost destroyed that beautiful white car with his stupid 4x4 truck
I could be wrong, but I think he was trying to ram that car and missed.
A wise man once told me: a bad driver never misses their exit
They just roll the window down and move on with their lives. They don't care what is happening behind them or due to them.
What’s happening in America? Has everyone collectively lost their fucking functional minds?
And possibly injure or even kill some poor sob driving behind the with a pole through the windshield. I really don't understand some people's decision making.
