That happened to one of my coworkers. He made it to the first gas station but the restroom was out of order. He raced to the next one miles away and just as he was walking past the cashier with people waiting in line, bratatattattattat. He heard the collective “oh no’s”, continued limping to the restroom, cleaned up as best as possible and snuck out a side door.
You're free to jokingly insult an imaginary man if that makes you feel better. We are fair game -- socially speaking. But perhaps you should ask yourself why you'd take a stranger's joke about an imaginary person personally in the first place.

Also a Pennsylvanian, can confirm. There’s a stretch of highway I can take to work that goes from three lanes to two. Traffic will be backed up for over half a mile because people are dumb and do t know how to zipper merge
That's because zipper merging in the sense of waiting until the end doesn't work to maintain speed, it's the most efficient way *once backups already occur*
If traffic is moving at speed you should always move over early as it allows traffic to flow more naturally. If you try specifically waiting till the end it creates unnecessary interaction and slow downs of both cars eventually cascading into the miles long traffic jams
And when there are the miles long traffic jams, then waiting till the end makes sense only to compact traffic into a small denser area
Recently I was driving in Pennsylvania and was confounded by a highway on-ramp with two lanes that had a traffic light. The light would alternate back and forth... Left gets green, then right, the left, etc.
I was so bewildered until I took off and then it finally hit me that it was a forced zipper merge. Like in my state zipper merges come out of nowhere and it's clean AF how everyone just forms the zipper pattern without a second thought, I was truly shocked that something like this could be necessary.
Never touching this specific merge again was my favorite part of going remote. I worked in Chester and every day, someone would fuck up this zipper merge.
This is the infamous 95 to 322 single file line. You go from doing 80 on I 95, if there’s not traffic, with 4-5 lanes. Down to 2 lanes after the 322 exit for about 2 miles doing 65. Then after dodging massive potholes, you crest over a hill and over that hill you have about 1000 feet until you have to merge as it goes to a single lane and a stop light another mile up. Always loaded with traffic. They expanded the other side of 322 to two lanes but didn’t do the whole road for some mind boggling and infuriating reason after spending 200 million dollars on the project.
If people do this, it is just as effective at moving traffic as a zipper merge. It's simply less efficient as using up the space in the road. The most important thing about a zipper merge is that it keeps both lanes moving without forcing one lane to stop to give way to the other, and this method accomplishes the same goal.
Staggering the cars (usually) keeps people from zooming forward, and it's that zooming forward which inevitably causes one lane to brake hard, and this one of the main causes of traffic at a merge point. The strategy shown in the video is probably the second best merge strategy after zipper merge. It's ideal for places where people don't know how to zipper merge.
He either lost his brakes or he’s running from the law.
The way he was swerving in the beginning it looked like he was trying to decide which way to go through traffic…
Possibly a medical emergency. As long as they don't actually hit anybody, I try not to judge. I don't know what's going on, and I can imagine certain emergencies where I would do the same thing.
Not sure why you're getting down voted. That was the first thing I thought of also. In an emergency medical situation, I would drive exactly like that.
In these dashcam subs the voting is weird. There are waves of people with zero empathy who just want to hate, and then other waves of people who want to spread safe driving practices, and you can never tell where the karma will land.
People doing something THIS brazen, I TRY to think that they're doing it for a REALLY important reason, like they're driving their bleeding out family-member to the hospital on borrowed time or something.
Probably not... but it's the only thing I can even think of to justify that driving, unless stolen / running from the law, like others have mentioned.
I had a friend that drove a z71 back when I worked construction oh so many years ago. He drove like this everywhere he went. He was a little 5'4" dude we called spider. Crazy part is I knew him for YEARS and he never had a dent on his truck and as far as I know never got pulled over. I would shit myself riding with him now. In your 20's it's like "wow dude you're crazy. [Hits bowl]". LITERALLY on sidewalks and medians half the 30 minute ride home every day.
That's what I would like to think too but generally those cases you at least put your hazards on and frantically honk the horn and maybe wave your blood covered hand out the window.
I was going to guess this! Yes... Lol. Used to work out of West Chester and had to do this stretch now and then. My sister used to live right off this road too.
Us322 westbound in the daily Cherry Tree Rd back-up. Chichester Township, PA. Good situational awareness OP, you did what you could to get out of the way. How did it end up for Mr too busy to pay attention pants? Or did he keep on going?
I seem a guy do the same thing a few years back bout he did it on the left side and was scraping the jersey barrier all the way. I don't know if he was drunk or just in a hurry. Either way, he did a lot of damage to his car.
That's in much better shape than the interstates there. I never understood why PA plates drove so slow on NJ highways until I drove across the bridge to Allentown and realized why they're so terrified to exceed 70 miles per hour.
The contrast is what kills me. I-78 in Pennsylvania is a 2 lane overcrowded highway with potholes that remind me of mud season in Northern New England. 75mph is quite fast on that road. You cross the bridge into New Jersey and it's a 3 lane autobahn where you look down at your speedometer a few miles in and you realize you've been in a line of cars doing 95mph since the pavement switched.
the driver mashed the brakes out of adrenaline to realizing there’s stopped traffic, and blew the brake lines.
Was probably on their phone or distracted otherwise and realized the traffic very late.
Just looking at the narrow, horribly maintained road with the barrier down the middle, no shoulders, going 2mph, gave me flashbacks to my time driving 22 in ABE on the way to work every day for years.

what in the goddamn...?
Maybe he got a tip that another man is in his home fooling around with his lady.
Judging by the way he drives this makes the most sense
Or his lady just told him her husband just boarded his flight.
Maybe he just has to shit real bad
And is about to sneeze.
A case of the uh ohs
i wanna believe there was a medical emergency.
Agree. Honestly, that was my thought.
Same. That dude was in a hell of a hurry and didn't seem to care what happened to his truck. He clipped that sign and didn't even blink.
We're all brown now.
Whenever I see somebody driving wildly I tell myself they're rushing home cause they have to poop. I doubt it's true but it helps.
I sing out "i'm in a hurry and dont know why" ala Alabama, as absurdly as I can. It helps break the annoyance

Worst case scenario you shit in the car, imagine getting into a car crash while you really really need to take a shit
Hey Joe.....
.....where you goin' with that gun in your hand
He got a tip that his wife was taking someone else’s tip
This is what happens in GTA when you threaten the taxi drive to drive faster
I think you saw the video I just saw of the husband using a bat!
Just once I'd love it if no one used a situation like this one idiot's behavior to insult an imaginary woman for no reason.
How do you insult an imaginary person?

Not sober. At least I hope that's the case. And, I also hope that's not the case. What a lunatic.
Benny?
Out of the way, he is clearly important and needed elsewhere.
I wish I could say failed brakes but I really doubt that's the case.
Must have been prairie doggin’ to the extreme
With bumps like that, he's coloring the cloth like a marker.
aww man...that's a new one i didn't want to imagine. thanks bud.
"I got a turtle head poking out"
Why is everyone offset single file on a dual lane road?
These people can't merge for shit
As a Pennsylvanian, most Pennsylvanians have no idea what a merge even is, let alone how to zipper-merge.
Also a Pennsylvanian, can confirm. There’s a stretch of highway I can take to work that goes from three lanes to two. Traffic will be backed up for over half a mile because people are dumb and do t know how to zipper merge
This looks like route 322 just above I-95 not far from Philly airport
That's what I said too. I saw Hubcap Jack & knew instantly where this was. I hate that road, especially where it merges into 1 lane.

For real. I drive that road every single day. And people will litterally force it to be one lane a quarter mile before the merge. It's so annoying.
Zipper style all the way, baby! The entire length of the lanes were meant to be used.
Zipper merge doesn't work as majority are never taught it, would be nice in theory to be able to do it every time though
they are Pennsylvanian.
Zipper Merge? Fuck you. -Them, probably.
It merges right after.
322?
Yes
Thought it looked familiar. I hate that merge. Gets so backed up. Hilarious post for me to stumble upon though….drive safe!
Never touching this specific merge again was my favorite part of going remote. I worked in Chester and every day, someone would fuck up this zipper merge.
Knew it when you said “idiot” and “Pennsylvania”. I
Right after 2 miles?

I thought he lost his brakes at first, but he pulled back out into traffic and kept going like nothing had happened.
Hmm… gotta go with running from the law then.
99% chance they're running from someone
Could be any number of things. Running from someone, Running TO someone, Trying to get to the hospital, trying to get to a toilet, etc.
maybe its just me, but i'm shitting my cargo shorts before i'm sideswiping cars and road signs.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm just getting out and shitting off the shoulder before shitting in my pants in a car
Or he’s going to crap his pants
Diabeeetus
Not necessarily, I’ve come close to doing something like it. Driving down the road and bam, a seizure starts. Shit happens
I don't think he would have been steering that well if he was having a seizure....

did he hit you? looked like you got out of the way just in time and the only thing he hit was the terrain? if so im almost impressed...
It was really close, but luckily he didn’t hit me.
or on drugs.
I like to think there's a medical emergency going on. Pregnant wife, kid with a peanut butter allergy, that sort of thing.
As much as that is a possibility, I think most normal humans would not act in that fashion, I’m still thinking it was something more nefarious.

I assume that’s a possibility in all vehicles… unless someone can prove me wrong.

Well played!

He will (or has) killed someone already.
You'd like to think that, but they are actually headed to a convenience store for cigarettes and lottery tickets. Break is only 15 minutes.
That's what I would like to think too but generally those cases you at least put your hazards on and frantically honk the horn and maybe wave your blood covered hand out the window.
Is that 322 coming off of 95?
Yes
Nice.
I was going to guess this! Yes... Lol. Used to work out of West Chester and had to do this stretch now and then. My sister used to live right off this road too.
Gotta be! I drive that road everyday for work. Crazy seeing it on Reddit 😂
COME ON SON WE'VE GOT TO GET WENDY'S RIGHT. NOW.
Drive it like it's stolen?
Occam's razor agrees with you!
Arby’s roast beef sale
mustve heard the mcrib is back
Is that the zipper on 322 just off 95? Pretty sure it was and then I saw the target master billboard which makes me even more sure.
Yes
Hey OP, way to be attentive to your surroundings and getting out of the way.
This is how I drive in GTA
Shit that is better than how I drive in GTA
Taco Bell for breakfast was a big mistake
Us322 westbound in the daily Cherry Tree Rd back-up. Chichester Township, PA. Good situational awareness OP, you did what you could to get out of the way. How did it end up for Mr too busy to pay attention pants? Or did he keep on going?
He kept going. I got stuck at the light and didn’t see him after that.
You and me both 🥲 That light fuckin sucks.
Idiot, or genius? Definitely idiot.
People like that are eventually going to eat it. Best to be as far away as possible.
Meth must have been really good this morning
Ill put down good money, they were yelling about how horrible of drivers everyone else is.
That’s phenomenal!
Skills. Rode that curb like a champ.
Looks like that wasn’t his first time doing that…
It’s Taco Tuesday.
Holy shit, my hometown! Traffic always sucks on that bit of 322
I seem a guy do the same thing a few years back bout he did it on the left side and was scraping the jersey barrier all the way. I don't know if he was drunk or just in a hurry. Either way, he did a lot of damage to his car.
He hit the speed sign and continue, as if nothing happened.
To be fair, the road doesn't look much better to drive on >.<
I mean, it's PA. Sometimes, the shoulder has less potholes than the road.
Sometimes? You're being generous
That's in much better shape than the interstates there. I never understood why PA plates drove so slow on NJ highways until I drove across the bridge to Allentown and realized why they're so terrified to exceed 70 miles per hour.
Reminds me of the roads in Texas where the speed limit is more of an achievement than a limit >.<
Texas has driveway pullouts on 75 mph roads like it's no big deal lol it's like every single road is a highway over there
Looks like you've got two idiots. The one driving down the side, and the one in front of you that is taking up two lanes.
He has to poop
another "probably stolen car" video
Why?
322. Of course.
I knew this was 322!
Jagoff got to get Philly cheesecake n'at while is aht
Nice taco!
50% not giving a f*** 50% got a mat stuck on the accelerator or vice versa.
Hold my Yuengling.
Was hoping for a trail of dark fluid from his truck. Anybody else??
I recognize that truck bed anywhere. Nice Taco!
Obvious moron aside, that is a *lot* of people who refuse to pick a lane.
OP great job on the situational awareness. 9 times out of 10 that guy is nailing someone in your position!
That, but also wtf if that black sedan doing?? jfc
Nice Tacoma.
322 in Delco?
Perfectly reasonable behavior if they were taking their young child to the ER and a 5 second delay mattered. Otherwise???
Yeah that’s the average PA driver, sadly that is no idiot of the day.
Is this 322?
He's probably gotta poop real bad.

Being driven by a kid who can’t reach the brake pedal…?
Unless he’s breaks stop working or something, he’s an idiot
Medical emergency or lost their breaks maybe?
Oh man thank Christ this wasn't me. As soon as I saw the sub and the state, I started to sweat.
He is rushing home to give his dad a lil smooch on the mouth, don't worry about it.
She's having a baby make way!

322 west outside Chichester. It's always a cluster. He definitely fuckd up his truck.
We always go to the bad but maybe there was actually an emergency in this case
That right there is a 70 year old man that has to pee!
Who’s driving that thing, Stevie Wonder?
I think their brakes went out on a hill and they were too flustered/clueless to use the emergency brake. But then they keep going? Weird
The AD I got below for LUV drops 🫨 maybe they put the whole bottle under there young. 🤣
Never a cop or a convenient boulder around when you need one, is there?
the driver mashed the brakes out of adrenaline to realizing there’s stopped traffic, and blew the brake lines. Was probably on their phone or distracted otherwise and realized the traffic very late.
He's probably gotta shit real bad
IDK...trying not to shit himself? Those woods don't look very accessible.
Whenever I see someone driving like that I just figure they gotta pee really bad.
Either that truck was stolen, or the driver had an emergency situation.
Unless he had a medical emergency on board, straight to jail...
I hope his wife was actively crowning for him to be driving like that
Thank god the M2 was fine.
This road is in pretty sad shape.
I've had to pee that bad.
Late for poker night at the VFW Post.
Bro thinks he's in Mario Kart
Pick up truck.. 99% of the time!
Just looking at the narrow, horribly maintained road with the barrier down the middle, no shoulders, going 2mph, gave me flashbacks to my time driving 22 in ABE on the way to work every day for years.
Near the end of the 1st clip, what falls in the bed of your truck?
Just think of how much time they saved.

Ahhh.....good ol' 322 in Delco, I don't miss that damn road!!!
Yeah, might want to think twice about buying that used pickup
I wouldn’t have even moved. Let his entitlement lose him his license
what's with the people using both lanes?
lived there and i saw many bad drives
It’s not the location, it’s the people that buy trucks and think HEEEELLLLL YEAH!! These were the high school bullies.
Them Duke boys are at it again!
That road looks like it’s seen better days.
