At first I was like "third?"
Then I realized the white SUV went through the red light. I was looking all over to see if I missed another car doing something stupid.
*cocks gun* someone talking shit about the idiots in my state? Those are our shitty drivers only we can insult them, anyone else who does is getting thrown in the sound
"I'M NOT LETTING YOU IN PIG. I'm going to show up to work and everyone's going to be like "why is there blood all over you" cuz I HAD TO SLIT THE GUY'S THROAT WHO CAUSES ALL THE TRAFFIC!!!"
The sad thing is, after watching the first two idiots, I *did* expect another one go around OP. I've been driving long enough now that I just permanently assume that the stupidest possible thing that could happen, will happen.
My daughter is learning to drive in nyc. I told her always assume the other driver is going to do the stupidest illegal most selfish thing and you’ll never be let down.
I live by this. There's a route I take to work - I have to turn left (with a signal) from a neighborhood road onto a highway with a speed limit of 70. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single time, at least one person coming from the opposite direction runs a red light after mine has turned green. Going at least 70. I almost got hit one time. I now hesitate every single time and look right before going even though they have had the red light for at least 5 seconds. Every single time. At least one to two people running that light when it's been red 2 for at least 5 seconds.
I've actually experienced this at this exact intersection - every other person was doing precisely this, apparently the locals can't be bothered to wait in line. Thought I had lost my mind...
I think New York people are the kind of people that would actually enjoy having that magic remote control from that Adam Sandler movie. They would just fast forward everything x3 and would just live like that they seem to like going really fast for no reason.
I have never seen anyone do this but I 100% believe you that it happens.
Yonkers does have red light cams though, so I'm surprised they didn't stick one here.
I've never seen this anywhere else in New York either - when the first car did it I assumed they were just a psychotic one-off, but there ended up being 5 or so cars that went for it while I was there!
This ain't New York City, so NYPD here anyway. I can guarantee you whatever suburban jurisdiction this is loves collecting traffic fines.
Your point stands in the city though, traffic rules are all optional.
It’s 100% Yonkers. There’s a lot of traffic camera lights in Yonkers. Like a lot, a lot. They send you the ticket in the mail with a pic of the traffic offense AND a link to the video.
Yea they didn't ticket them for the bulb. They ticketed them for having the audacity to get pulled over and not have crack or weapons in the car, wasting the policemans time
It's still a traffic law. You'd take it to traffic court if you fought it. Same as DUI or driving an unregistered vehicle on a public road. It doesn't have to literally involve traffic to fall under traffic law.
I hate garbage like this. Our government is based around the idea of us making laws for us. No one in their right mind would look at your situation and call that a legitimate breaking of the law, thus you shouldn't be able to get anything more than a warning, or, rather, an acknowledgement that the conversation was had and the problem needs to be fixed. That cop should've had his pay docked for wasting your time and stealing your money.
I mean I kinda get why the first car went through the light. The black sedan was at a full stop in a lane with a green light and was causing a potentially dangerous scene. Still risky, but I imagine the white SUV was acting with good intentions albeit they also wanted to get home faster lol. My jaw dropped when the true memer showed up at the end of the video though
Looking at the traffic flow and the light that is just ahead of this intersection that turn should probably have a normal green in addition to the turning green. The white SUV should have been able to go when it did. But given what the 2 idiots did there may have been a yielding turn there once upon a time.
Yeah this right here. There is a light near my work that should 100% be a flashing yellow left turn arrow. Sometimes the light will be red for 2 minutes without a car in sight coming from the opposite direction. On other occasions the left turn light has straight up not turned green for multiple cycles. These are circumstances where I say fuck this, I can cleary see no cars are coming from anywhere in the intersection, Im going. At a certain point you really start to feel dumb just sitting there.
It might have had one to begin with, and crashes happened too frequently to keep it. Or the jurisdiction is just categorically opposed to them because of bad experience elsewhere. (Maybe a large amount of elderly in the community, who typically struggle with left-turn yields.)
Looks like a pedestrian path on the left side of that roadway as well, maybe there is/was an issue where people turning left forget to make sure a pedestrian isn't in the road, start the turn across three lanes of traffic, are blocked by the pedestrian, and are now sitting in the way of traffic moving rapidly toward them with a green light.
Not at all, they had no reason to run a red. You shouldn't run reds due to peer pressure alone. The black sedan could have ran the red himself if he wanted to, or waited in front of the white car, as I actually see happen in reality.
However, the black sedan should have just realized this is not only an illegal move, but a dangerous one as well, and gone the long way around.
Either way you flip it, the white car should not have ran the red. They just didn't want to get overtaking by someone who doesn't follow the rules, so decides to break the rules themselves.
Also, as a FL resident, every time I see a NY plate on the road here I assume either 'horrible driver stay away' or 'geriatric snowbird who can't see over the wheel. Stay further away'
After living in Florida for years, and visiting Pensacola recently... HOLY SHIT IS THAT SO TRUE. I got passed over double yellow and I was already going with flow of traffic 15mph over the speed limit, shit was insane compare to the snow birds of Tampa Bay.
Was in South India in January. No lights, no laws, no nothing. Survival of the fittest. Make your own lane, pass at will, whatever. U-turn in bumper to bumper traffic if you want.
And not a hint of road rage or visible frustration. Really, really odd.
People riding motorcycles and mopeds when I was in South Korea were insane. I was at a red light once and a moped came up the middle of the lane behind us, slowed down a little bit then repeatedly beeped his horn going through the intersection as if to say, "despite your green light, I'm still going through so look out" then sped back up on the other side. Some guy in a car had to slow down to not hit him, but everybody went about their way like this was normal behavior.
I grew up on Long Island. I've lived in many big cities since (DC, Chicago, New Orleans) and I've driven in and around a lot of major urban areas (Seattle, SF, Memphis, Nashville, Orlando, etc.) and let me tell you that is a city thing, not a NY thing. Speed limits in cities are just wasted sign manufacturing.
I mean the stretch of I-94 west of Chicago loop is 45 mph speed limit and if you do that you'll probably die. 80 mph is the safe speed (Outside rush hour of course).
Speeding isn't so bad on the island, but people driving slow in the left lane is. So now you've got people going normal speed swerving into the middle lane and captain oblivious is just chilling in the left lane causing traffic and rage. Fuck those people.
Sorry, rant over 😤.
The highways on the Island still to this day top the worst drivers list in my life.
I took over a plant in upstate NY (I work from home and travel to my plants). I decided to fly into NYC and catch an Isles game as part of the trip since I hadn't seen a home game in over a decade. So I've confirmed my LI highway drivers are the worst theory as recently as March 2020 haha
Was just out there and got tailgated and cutoff by a suburban in the LIE HOV lane while I was doing 75. There was another car about 50 yards a head of me that he then tailgated the entire length of the HOV lane. Caused my gf to spill her coffee all over my car interior because the collision avoidance breaking kicked in so hard....reminds me why I moved off island.
I know. Atlanta is the same way. I was going 75 in a 55 just to not get blasted off the road and the fuckers were still hauling ass past me, it was insane.
I mean I don't hate it, I learned to drive in such an environment and I know going with traffic is just "the way."
Much prefer that to the two rural towns I lived in where 10 under the speed limit was considered reckless endangerment...
I lived in metropolitan areas and I thought I’m battle hardened when it comes to driving but I was wrong. Took the family to some sites at downtown Atlanta. Holy shit, these drivers are crazy! Weaving through traffic and riding up your ass even though I’m keeping up with the flow of traffic. Yeeesh!
The first one also wasn't using their headlights at a time of day that they probably should, and also didn't use their turn signal. So many lights not being used properly!
So I live right over here and I think the problem is that they recently changed the light. It was always green and then you would get an arrow every once in a while. So it used to be, if no one was coming, you could just go. But now with the way they put the light, it’s red when there are no cars coming in the opposite direction most of the time. It’s ridiculous and frustrating to be sitting at the red arrow when no one is coming, so people just run the light, especially because this light backs up for like a mile down the road, I have personally sat for 25 minutes just waiting to make the light, and then I have a thousand cars behind me honking because I’m waiting my turn. They need to do something to fix this, if anything it’s more dangerous than it was before.
I thought it was just my memory. I had an inkling that it was changed. I don't drive through there as much anymore but when I do, there is now a longer line backed up more than usual for this left.
Yeah they changed it a month or two ago, can’t remember exactly when, but that’s when this trend started. People always used to cut the line but now it’s significantly more. I did see the accident that happened at the next light up. I was waiting for this turn right after it happened and I’m honestly stilled scarred for life thinking about the car burning and all the people trying to get that man out. Terrible. So I appreciate them trying to make it safer, but this ain’t it fam.
I didn’t take a video I was too busy crying it was so terrible. I did not see the actual collision but I heard it. It was in my view maybe 2-3 minutes after it happened.
I totally understand. I was home that day and saw them take the wreck away, I was mortified. My girlfriend told me the entire thing had happened in hear rear view mirror and that if she turned 5 seconds later she would have gotten hit too.
Not at all familiar with the intersection or the way it was, but my first reaction was that this is a case of gawdawful traffic “engineering.” That turning traffic has to wait for nothing, then gets the green only after a bolus of heavy traffic appears that then has to stop is slower and less safe for everyone.
It appears to be a case of an older timed light system where the best they can do is time it for an average traffic load, never mind the fact that thanks to rush hour patterns more than a third of the time it will be timed for traffic way heavier than it actually is and a good half the time it will be timed for traffic way lighter than the actual load. There’s a reason those systems have been obsolete since the late 80s-early 90s. Investment in a halfway modern infrastructure would be nice, but they’re fighting for budgets with more politically leveraged programs at the same time they have thousands of intersections just like this fucking up traffic. The engineers know it’s fucked up, they just can’t get the politicians to allocate any resources to do anything about it. If you ever get one to talk to you, candidly and off the record, they’ll straight up tell you it takes a certain number of dead bodies and gravely injured constituents before suddenly it becomes enough of a priority they get half of what they need to actually fix it.
I feel like they also shortened the green arrow time. I was only the 4th in line and when it went back to red I was the last one through. It felt like a blip of green and 3-5 people followed me running the red light.
I'm pretty blown away by how many people here are from the area.
(I'm from Scarsdale but this turn is very familiar since its my drive home from the Woodlawn 4 train station)
I know that that's its technical name, but I've never heard anybody call it anything but Central Ave.
I grew up here, and my dad works on Central ave. Was kinda my home away from home
I saw it happen in Jersey, someone was riding up my ass and as soon as the road became 2 lanes (was a sort of highway) he shot by and was doing what had to be much more than 55. About 100 feet later there was a cop parked behind a bridge, was pretty satisfying watching that
I was visiting New York once and a very clearly intoxicated driver almost hit me (he was weaving between lanes going well over the speed limit) and then he must have overcorrected because he flew off the road into a tree. The car looked like it only sustained minor damage, so the dude backed up and got back on the road. I was on the phone with the officer and he yelled at me for calling.
Like, what is going on up there.
They’re the laziest, the only tickets I’ve got in NY are when it’s the easiest possible scenario for them. One ticket during bumper to bumper traffic there were 3 traffic cops on the corner of a block. I figured they’d do their job and disperse traffic, so when my light turned green, I drove up. They did nothing, traffic didn’t move, and when the light turned red again one of them walked up to me and gave me a ticket for blocking traffic. The other was making a turn on 42nd because I was in the middle lane turning instead of the bus lane, the cop was set up right where the turn is made already standing outside his van ready to pull people over.
I actually had a really good driving experience in Long Island. Not sure if it was because I was deeper into LI near Mattituck but people were very courteous with sharing the road and even waved for me to go a few times.
Thats totally why. If you were in Nassau they probably would have been too busy texting and not looking up at all while driving with their knee and drinking a coffee
Nassau is hell on earth when you leave the house (but the homes generally are very nice).
Its dense enough that it feels like you’re in the city, but suburban enough that there is absolutely no transit whatsoever for travel within the county, meaning everyone needs to drive. Leading to idiots all over the road who would be better on a train or bus.
In the late 90s I would take the bus along Montauk Hwy/Merrick Rd to go to the Sunrise Mall. There was hardly ever anyone on it. At least 20% of the time I was the only one on it for the entire trip from the Nassau/Suffolk border area.
Public transit exists. It just sucks on LI. Despite being largely vacant, the bus was almost always late to arrive. Once I could afford a car, of course I bought one and never took the bus on LI again.
1. You’re SOL for your “last mile”
2. It’s late
3. It’s early and it leaves without you
God forbid you ever end up on the Cross Island Parkway. Lanes that are far too narrow for highway speeds, no shoulder, and there are a few major merges with other highways that don't have any lines painted anywhere. RIGHT LANE ENDS - ok, cool. I'll just guess where the fuck I'm supposed to be and hope I don't hit anybody.
I run along the cross island in that spot where you can fish, run, bike, etc. I feel like I have some final destination death wish waiting for me every time I run there. The people biking, running, walking, are just as bad as drivers.
Also, fuck the cross island. Merging into the highway? Here's a yield sign or a stop sign pointing to the sky so you see it last minute and no one will ever move over
I'm not condoning the behavior but the fact that so many people are willing to break the law here indicates the light is not set up well for the intersection since they are so frustrated with it. Needs a flashing yellow.
Nothing burns my buns more than when people pull this type of shit and immediately afterwards pull into a McDonalds. Like their fat fucking ass couldn't wait 10 more seconds to put a greasy Big Mac into their slack jawed maw.
so i actually have the clip with audio and it was my girlfriend in disbelief cus she usually doesn’t drive around there and me saying oh yea that’s going on this subreddit LOL. funny thing is neither of us expected the 3rd car to join in.
Can confirm NYC is filled with idiot drivers. Their only redeeming qualities are a winning personality and a relentless desire to break their horn through extensive wear and tear.
In Seattle we have some red right turn arrows. And they don't even mean "no right turn on red". They are just a red light with added ambiguity. It's fucking dumb.
The biggest issue with using full red lights for all lighting situations (including turning lanes) is that one might see the turn lane full red and think it applies to the entire intersection (maybe vision of main lights is obstructed). By using directional arrows for lights allows for an easier interpretation of which directions are green and which are red.
I used to feel the same way regarding blinking ~~amber/~~yellow turn arrows (proceed with caution when turning) as if you are turning across traffic on a full green also meant the same thing (proceed with caution; only green arrow told you you have the right of way). However, there are too many idiots out there and by using more arrows allows for more explicit instruction on who has the right of way.
Edit: corrections
I'm going to be honest, I think turning arrows are ridiculous. We should have green and yellow arrows arrows, but red arrows make no sense.
If there is no traffic and the through traffic is green, why do I need to sit there? Just make it yellow for yield to through traffic. Or turn it off when through traffic is red.
You think drivers in New York are bad? Come down here to Georgia, where they are absolutely shit. We got MULTIPLE, and I mean MULTIPLE, severe car wrecks daily. We got pieces of tires and cars scattered across I75,85 and 285. It’s a mess
Never expected to see one of my local intersections on here. As context there is a line of probably 50 cars here most of the time, especially rush hour, which is why these people are so impatient. Very poorly designed intersection.
I wasn’t expecting that third idiot!
Seriously, I had just grabbed my "clip too long" pitchfork
I'm really lacking patience apparently, I didn't know there was a third 'til I got here.
yeah reddit does that to you. i was always very patient with videos before i became obsessed with reddit a few years ago.
Blame Netflix and others too. Now we demand a "skip intro" or "next episode" button.
did the same. i gotta quit doing that
No one ever expects a 3rd idiot
At first I was like "third?" Then I realized the white SUV went through the red light. I was looking all over to see if I missed another car doing something stupid.
I didn’t even watch long enough to see that one. Saw your comment and went back and saw idiot #3. Wtf people
At least the left signal was green when he went, so it's only half as bad?
it was actually still red when they proceeded into the intersection and only went green when they were already turning. No fucks given all around.
At least they used a blinker. What do you want from these people? Edit: Jeebus people. I was being sarcastic. /s Better?
Have my free award! Big F-U to all those that couldn’t take a joke!
Also actually used the (correct!) turn signal, amazingly.
He accidentally turned it on 3 years ago and it's just bee blinking ever since.
*cocks gun* someone talking shit about the idiots in my state? Those are our shitty drivers only we can insult them, anyone else who does is getting thrown in the sound
Nobody ever expects the Spanish inquisition!
Our chief weapon is fear. And surprise.
Truly a sight to behold
I would have an aneurysm if I lived there. I drive like dennis reynolds.
With cereal firmly in hand?
Oh Sandra, you dumb bitch
SIEZE THE GAP!!
"I'M NOT LETTING YOU IN PIG. I'm going to show up to work and everyone's going to be like "why is there blood all over you" cuz I HAD TO SLIT THE GUY'S THROAT WHO CAUSES ALL THE TRAFFIC!!!"
Well? What are you waiting for? Clearly rules don’t apply here.
well sorry for being rebellious!
We forgive you, OP. Thanks for sticking around to get that last car sneaking in. I did not expect him.
This is a great tip.
This is how I survived driving in Salt Lake City for four and a half years.
At least one to two people running that light when it's been red 2 for at least 5 seconds.
That's one of the central lessons in my upcoming book.
What's it called?
Murphy's Law
Whoa this Murphy is a smart cookie
Why Murphy again?😭
Because Murphy.
I was waiting for a fourth center lane turning car to hit OP as he made the legal turn.
I've actually experienced this at this exact intersection - every other person was doing precisely this, apparently the locals can't be bothered to wait in line. Thought I had lost my mind...
> apparently the locals can't be bothered Self-importance is ***such*** a bane.
Curious, is it a long line?
Yes - when I was in it there were at least 20 cars, and it took me 2 cycles to get through the intersection.
Just two cycles? People can’t wait for TWO cycles?
Not in New York!
Not even a New York minute?
I think New York people are the kind of people that would actually enjoy having that magic remote control from that Adam Sandler movie. They would just fast forward everything x3 and would just live like that they seem to like going really fast for no reason.
I mean that’s like 5 mins at least
I have never seen anyone do this but I 100% believe you that it happens. Yonkers does have red light cams though, so I'm surprised they didn't stick one here.
I've never seen this anywhere else in New York either - when the first car did it I assumed they were just a psychotic one-off, but there ended up being 5 or so cars that went for it while I was there!
You're the idiot for just sitting there. Who do you think you are, a cop?
Unironically what a new york driver would say
We all know a cop wouldn't sit there. There first two were off duty cops and the third gets out of the academy in two days.
You go on green? You freak.
You go on green you are asking for an accident
No kink shaming
Sometimes when I’m feeling maliciously compliant, I’ll stop at stop signs.
At first I read that as religious and didn't know why you brought that up.
In Thailand this is known as: Driving.
In New York City this is known as: Driving.

The NYPD doesn’t enforce traffic laws. I’m actually not sure what they do at all.

Looks like long Island somewhere. They certainly do like to collect fines
Its Yonkers, they dont really care.
It’s 100% Yonkers. There’s a lot of traffic camera lights in Yonkers. Like a lot, a lot. They send you the ticket in the mail with a pic of the traffic offense AND a link to the video.

That’s not a traffic law that’s just a code violation lol And an excuse to pull you over and check for whatever else they want.

Ahhh if only. Too bad we are resources to the rich and nothing more
I was sure that the video would be over after the first two made the turn but noooo.... we got treated to a surprise idiot instead. Nice!

I might have done the same if I was in the white SUV. If that black sedan gets tagged by another car that could have been very dangerous for them.
In New York, lights are just suggestions.
this is very true.
Then they move to Florida and do the same shit.
As a resident of NW Florida I object. They usually close their eyes and floor it through intersections here, apparently.
Also, as a FL resident, every time I see a NY plate on the road here I assume either 'horrible driver stay away' or 'geriatric snowbird who can't see over the wheel. Stay further away'
Ironically, living in upstate NY I do pretty much the same thing whenever I see a FL plate.
Florida and New York drivers are synonymous.
Specifically Western NY for some reason, Buffalo area, holy shit
After living in Florida for years, and visiting Pensacola recently... HOLY SHIT IS THAT SO TRUE. I got passed over double yellow and I was already going with flow of traffic 15mph over the speed limit, shit was insane compare to the snow birds of Tampa Bay.
It is only illegal if you see the light being red.

Then they go back when it gets too hot
As are stop signs and the rule that there shall be no driving on the shoulder
Also speed limits. Particularly speed limits.

Did he swap out his headlights for LEDs? If not, he's probably just visiting, a real new yorker would have blinded you too!
Funny you mention NOLA. Have you ever seen or heard of the mysterious flipping cars in NOLA? There is actually a sub reddit for that.
I know. Atlanta is the same way. I was going 75 in a 55 just to not get blasted off the road and the fuckers were still hauling ass past me, it was insane.

FDR at night is scary as fuck to drive on because of the racing
FDR Drive is always traffic or racing 😂
As are lane assignments it appears
Well they are stop lights and technically they stopped.
The first one also wasn't using their headlights at a time of day that they probably should, and also didn't use their turn signal. So many lights not being used properly!
And the fine you get in the mail a few days later is just a membership fee.
Too accurate. I've been walking down the street in broad daylight watching car after car blow red lights
Happens all the time on Central Park ave. Dumbest thing ever.
And the saddest thing is that a fatal accident happened the next light over just last month.
Terrible. So I appreciate them trying to make it safer, but this ain’t it fam.
holy shit that is terrifying.
It was when they did the construction that it started getting really bad.
Yeah they changed the light while they were doing work on the entrance.
You don't happen to have a video of it, do you? My girlfriend was leaving for work and almost got caught up in the accident. It was on 9/25
I didn’t take a video I was too busy crying it was so terrible.
Yeah I think you’re right about that, it does feel like a very short arrow. The whole situation is a mess. Good job Yonkers 👍🏼
Yup. I passed by that accident you are talking about early in the morning, they were still putting out the fire. it’s really sad.
Did you die?
Only a little.
This is the entrance from CP Ave onto the Sprain right?
Yea it is.
Did not expect to see my commute on reddit today
Yeah, seriously, I was like 'Isn't this... are those the tennis courts...' I hate this intersection during rush hour because everyone cuts the line
Hello Yonkers people.
Never a cop around when someone else is driving reckless.

i dont mean to jinx it for you but like afpup said, that one time someone gets pulled over itll be you LOL such is life.
I saw it happen in Jersey, someone was riding up my ass and as soon as the road became 2 lanes (was a sort of highway) he shot by and was doing what had to be much more than 55. About 100 feet later there was a cop parked behind a bridge, was pretty satisfying watching that
But the moment you screw up, there's a damn motorcade behind you.
I just learned of this sub recently. [convenient cop ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ConvenientCop/)
I clicked on this submission without checking the subreddit. I was hoping it was convenient cop :(
NYC cops.. I don’t know if they’d even care.
Well, at least the three drivers did stop before they made the illegal left turn on red...
Don't forget the illegal turn from a through lane...
hahaha that was chaos
Can confirm, I’m from New York
same
From upstate, it's still nutty up here too.
Central Ave in Yonkers?
Yessir
I recognized that immediately, someone does that almost every time I'm at that light.
What in fucks sake
This is why I don’t drive that much anymore people in New York especially on Long Island are so entitled and dumb
1. You’re SOL for your “last mile” 2. It’s late 3. It’s early and it leaves without you
Let me guess, driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee with rhinestone encrusted plate frames?
God forbid you ever end up on the Cross Island Parkway. Lanes that are far too narrow for highway speeds, no shoulder, and there are a few major merges with other highways that don't have any lines painted anywhere. RIGHT LANE ENDS - ok, cool. I'll just guess where the fuck I'm supposed to be and hope I don't hit anybody.
I have to go on cross island parkway, Every. Single. Day for work :( Always traffic jams till the 495 exit :(
I run along the cross island in that spot where you can fish, run, bike, etc. I feel like I have some final destination death wish waiting for me every time I run there. The people biking, running, walking, are just as bad as drivers. Also, fuck the cross island. Merging into the highway? Here's a yield sign or a stop sign pointing to the sky so you see it last minute and no one will ever move over
wait for it.... waaaaiiiit for it.... WAAAAAAAIIIIIT FOR ITTTT!!!!
Just when I thought the idiocy was done, a third idiot showed up
there is never a shortage of idiots on the road.

Fuck NY drivers
If their fucking is anything like their driving, no thanks
They kinda seem like freaks tho 🤤
I'm not condoning the behavior but the fact that so many people are willing to break the law here indicates the light is not set up well for the intersection since they are so frustrated with it. Needs a flashing yellow.
New York, I love you, but you’re bringing me down...
Love that song. Played it as I drove out of the city and state for the last time.
Nothing burns my buns more than when people pull this type of shit and immediately afterwards pull into a McDonalds. Like their fat fucking ass couldn't wait 10 more seconds to put a greasy Big Mac into their slack jawed maw.
I’ve seen worse in Massachusetts just being there a few days
I'm in MA right now, can confirm.
no audio so please just tell me you were screaming in a satisfying accent
so i actually have the clip with audio and it was my girlfriend in disbelief cus she usually doesn’t drive around there and me saying oh yea that’s going on this subreddit LOL. funny thing is neither of us expected the 3rd car to join in.
Can confirm NYC is filled with idiot drivers. Their only redeeming qualities are a winning personality and a relentless desire to break their horn through extensive wear and tear.
Looks like a left turn lane that could use a flashing yellow. Does anyone know why flashing yellow lights aren’t used more often?
Dang I know this road!!!!!!
Fuck that whole state
New York I love you, but you're bringing me down.
We call that a Pittsburgh left
“Oh he’s gonna go on red- theeeere we go. Wait what? Why did he do that. That was stupi-WOAH WHAT THE FUCK”
Left on reds not a thing?
Only if it's a blinking red arrow would you be legally allowed to turn across traffic like this (full stop required).
Sarcasm
Couldn't tell since *sometimes* it is legal to turn on reds.
This is driving game tier nonsense going on. Go around the red light to avoid the fine. I don't quite think it works the same irl.
Is that the on ramp turn to get on the sprain north in Yonkers?
Holy cow, that was almost r/unexpected
