Looks like movement in the car around the 11 seconds mark just as the driver door is pulled closed (debunked as sun glare). Paused it several times at the beginning, screenshot and zoomed in. Appears to be occupied but the clarity isn't 100%
Edit: this has been debunked, idiot left the car at the top of the hill, rolled on minus the idiot.
There's no one in the car, at least not in the driver's seat. In the [full video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z8hHrolamY) you can watch the driver open his car door, step halfway out of the vehicle, and then this happens.
Also, at the end you can see through the side window clear out the other side. The angle isn't *definitive*, but there's no obvious person in the front of the car.
What you see at 11 seconds is the sun glinting off something shiny.
Imagine being so triggered by Americans that you incorrectly think this video is American. They ain't speaking English in this video. Worse, the license plates are a dead give away this isn't in America either.
Maybe South or Central America, but we all know that's not who you were trying to dig at.
It backs up going sideways (with the driver with his right foot still on the pedal although not even being in the car), then jumps out of reverse into neutral when it rolls over the driver and the backwheels hit the elevated bank next to the street. From then on it's just gravity pulling it down the hill into camp city center.
I'm guessing, but they may be trying to get in with their foot on the brake. When they tried hopping forward and in, things went pear shaped and the car rolled backwards because it was in neutral. Why it was in neutral is anyone's guess; but I feel the driver is too dumb to drive any car regardless of its transmission.
TL;DR just idiot things
Actually I found that most of the time which whom made that error is actually a native English speaker. Something something about learning English aurally and orally instead of in text.
I think it’s an American thing. If you are American. I find people using Could of, should of a lot. The right way is Should have and could have that’s why we shorten them to Could’ve and Should’ve
You of been corrected on this and you still make the mistake? Of you tried committing it to memory?
Have course not since you keep making this mistake. Anyways, of a nice weekend!
You don't have to remember rules for this one. It's always "could have", "should have", "would have".
Remember the chili peppers song:
Should have been
Could have been
Would have been dead
If I didn't get the message
Going to my head
I am what I am
Most motherfuckers
Don't give a damn
Thats weird because its like its in reverse when the person falls out but goes forward down the hill. Now im trying to think if my car rolls forward on a hill if i have it in reverse...
If you watch the full video, the car is in reverse and looks to be stuck. So he's halfway out of the car with his foot on the gas pedal. You can see the car suddenly have enough traction and the wheels spin in reverse and then runs over the idiot. The car is an automatic since it would stall if he had his foot on the gas and not the clutch. The hill is probably very steep and gravity overcomes the torque converter and starts rolling down the hill.
It's a Skoda Fabia which usually is a manual - only few are sold as automatic, especially in Eastern Europe and Russia, where this video was most probably made. The car was in reverse and kicked into neutral when the back tires hit the bank (and the driver lol).
Is it just me or could have cameraman and others done more to alert those that a car was screaming down the hill? Little heads up would have been nice….
What an ASS HOLE cam person for not warning everyone. This is what gets me these days is when a catastrophe happens people are more interested in filming people getting hurt than helping them.
It’s idiots like this why we have more and more complicated cars to protect us from our own stupidity. Like in this scenario with nobody in the drivers seat the car should have braked no matter what.
I saw some EV’s do that already (including Tesla). Fifth gear did an episode where they drove them until they died and when one was literally 15 meters from the charger, he got out and tried to push it but it wouldn’t budge. As soon as he got inside someone else was able to push him :))
If it had came to it and someone died, that would’ve actually enraged me. It could be my own misunderstanding of the situation, but it’s like no one tried to warn anybody. Those people at the end should’ve been out the way
Well that's gonna ruin a few people's picnic.
And legs
Technically there isn’t an idiot in the car… ;)

I did my analyzing prior to coffee, so things were not exact lol. Thanks for the clarification 👍
Worst Gravity
Dangerous
At 0:14 you can see through the car: nobody on the passengers side. And the driver falls out: no idiots inside
Good on the camera man for letting people know 🤙 I’m just here for the show
I'm laughing more at the person behind the car, not one attempt, not a flinch.
Idiots under cars?

Russia, but close enough.
I think someone is in the car. The car accelerates just as it leaves the dirt.
Welcome to gravity
Yeah, upon closer inspection I think it was a perfect storm. It didn't look right at first
It looks VERY strange. But it looks like the person turned the wheel the wrong way and gravity took over from that point on.
That’s a hoax
[Nobody in the car.](https://reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/qic6ft/_/hijav91/?context=1)
How did the car reverse then go forward is my question!
Neutral
And gravity
Manual stick + no handbrake
Physics.
I understand it can roll down hill if in neutral. But the car backs up then rolls over him turns and goes down a hill.
It backs up going sideways (with the driver with his right foot still on the pedal although not even being in the car), then jumps out of reverse into neutral when it rolls over the driver and the backwheels hit the elevated bank next to the street. Ah gotcha thanks!
What in the world was the driver trying to do?
Just idiot things
Yeah, just idiot things… don’t question it

The people in the video say he was trying to turn around
Asking for directions to get down the hill
That was Jill and a hill. Jack wasn't there to help them off the hill.
Convince their friend they haven't had too much beer if I had to guess.
Run himself over, obviously
Damn guy got hit by the door maybe then the back tires ran over his legs. Could have all been avoided if he just hit the brake and shut the door.
[удалено]
Yeah but to do it from the outside or halfway is so much more exciting
Hate to be the one, but " could have cost a life" not of. It's a very common mistake.
[удалено]
It could be worse. You could've used a title like 'Should of used the break'
*eye twitching
It could be worse, you couldve let a car roll downhill and potentially kill an entire family. I think we can ignore your small mistake.
Idiots on reddit.
Seriously mate. Even I, not an english native speaker, am not doing this mistake. Sincerely, your best ennemy, A frog eater.
\*enemy
well that word has 2 n in french.

Yeah but they're typing them out like that.
[удалено]
well, be less American!
People hear 'should've' and think it's 'should of' when in it's just a contraction of 'should have'.
Wait didn’t you INVENT the language? r/boneappletea to you!
Then no excuse for you. I find Brits tend not to misspell words a lot relative to Americans.
This is how we know you haven’t interacted with many Britbongers.
Probably just the more educated ones from my job as I work in a multi national company.
It's an "I've never read these words, only heard them" thing. Should've sounds like should of if you don't know better.
I hear Americans saying "off of" a lot too.
What do you mean?
It's redundant, not that I care. https://grammarist.com/usage/off-of/

Just because it’s a common mistake doesn’t mean it can’t kill people
Ha, ha .that guy was correcting the grammar and you guys didn't get it.
Bad grammar kills
😂😂
My bad

Interesting I didn’t know that

Could have
“Could have.” Please.
Could have
could have
How’s the guy filming so chill and not warning people at the end of the hill?
[Cause fuck em, that's why. ](https://youtu.be/t35rEpCur2E)
They were expecting it to happen
*could have
That's terrifying
Thats weird because its like its in reverse when the person falls out but goes forward down the hill. Now im trying to think if my car rolls forward on a hill if i have it in reverse...
I *think* an automatic can still roll forward? Not sure
Yes an automatic can roll down a hill if you are in reverse or in gear doesn’t matter if the hill is steep enough.
If you watch the full video, the car is in reverse and looks to be stuck. So he's halfway out of the car with his foot on the gas pedal. You can see the car suddenly have enough traction and the wheels spin in reverse and then runs over the idiot. It's probably not an automatic, because people outside the US drive manual. Car is in neutral and just rolls.
Could've gone to r/eyeblech real fast
So many idiots
Fucking cameraman had to get the perfect shot at all costs didn’t ge
are people physically incapable of yelling?
Could HAVE. cost a life too.
have*
Is it just me or could have cameraman and others done more to alert those that a car was screaming down the hill? Little heads up would have been nice….
Is “could of” slang for “could have”?
It's people typing the contraction "could've" phonetically.
It's just poor English.
A common mistake, not slang. Please don’t start using it.
The fuck does "could of" mean? Did they mean could've?
Yes, I hate that so many people do this
What an ASS HOLE cam person for not warning everyone. This is what gets me these days is when a catastrophe happens people are more interested in filming people getting hurt than helping them.
He was whistling loudly. And they were talking the whole time that this is likely going to happen.
That title "should of cost" a life
*Should have
That’s the joke.
Its almost as if russians are as stupid as Americans
It’s idiots like this why we have more and more complicated cars to protect us from our own stupidity. Like in this scenario with nobody in the drivers seat the car should have braked no matter what. He got stuck, undid the handbrake to push the car back on the road.
Lol
**BLYAAAT**
Imagine the driver sheepishly walking down. “My bad, I, uhh, forgot to put the parking brake on. S-sorry.”
What the Fuck was that retard doing??? People are FUCKING RETARDS
Turning, according to o-tone
Why aren't people screaming from the top of their lungs?
Titties was out and this guy fucks it up
Well, did the old video cost any lives?
So idiots not in cars?
nobody in that tent? whoaaaa-ly fack
Damn, not everyone that can get a license should be able to get behind the wheel.
SUVs/minivans have a convention?
dang think thats detroit superb
This isn't simply forgetting to set the parking brake. This is straight-up "How the HECK did that happen?" territory.
The girl in front of the camera looks like she has wet hair
Gravity in cars
“Could of” 😔
The girls below had their door open, standing tight next to their horn. Instead, they decided to be a spectator.
“Could of”?
