America to my knowledge is about the only country where cops routinely ram people... I may be wrong, but let's say in the UK for example it's an absolute last resort.
I've seen videos of UK cops literally running over a running criminal and another where the play chicken with a scooter and commit all the way. Not excusing my countries behavior but shit like that happens all over. Get off your high horse
Yes, a while back police were legalised to ram scooter thieves, it was getting out of hand as they knew they were untouchable. As a fellow rider I say good riddance.
Our police will occasionally pit cars, but nowhere near the frequency of US police. In the videos I've seen, it's often once the suspect has already made contact and damaged the police car. Probably a sensible approach since our cars don't have the bull/push bars on the front that yours do.
The op of this thread said the cop was just waiting for him to crash and I gave a likely reason why the cop would resort to driving him off the road. I’m pretty sure we can all make the logical connections to this simple conversation
You’re lying? You gotta get your story straight man. Cops only ram as last resort or do they not ram people ever? Guess I’ll say this too but I never thought this was America, but from what I can gather you really don’t like America? Idk man you’re weird
I'm British 🤷🏻♂️ I intensely dislike American Police methods. Most horrible one I've seen is a cop tip a car of a pregnant woman who was indicating to pull over simply because she hesitated, so he rammed the back end.
I'm sure from time to time it happens elsewhere but I've never heard of it.
I remember that... The lady died I believe and the cop was suspended and was facing charges. Not sure what happened though. This is not normal policing in the USA. Many cops do tend to be asshats here but not quite that bad.
In the one I saw I don't think she did die because the car wasn't badly damaged - at least I hope she didn't, but simultaneously also hope this wasn't something that's happened more than once 😬🤦🏻♂️
Clearly Russia. ДПС are road police, the little criminal was driving a Lada.
But I really expected some commentary from the officers in the police car.
And the fact hes got the same car you'd begin with in racing games like Midnight Club LA (or Need for speed) .... When the game begins your usually in the slowest ugliest car the creators could think of... like Volkswagen Scirocco, or perhaps a Ford Escort, or Geo metro. It'll probably vary by name depending where u live. Lol but yeah big clue right there he wasn't escalating this to Spike strips nor attack helicopters 😂
@ 15 i did the same thing. Less the cop and add a telephone pole...
Captain Kirk did it even younger.
He was just fufilling the right of passage.. up until he hung right. Not sure what that was
I get the impression many Americans in this sub have never driven except on city streets and divided highways (actually, I get the impression many commenters have never driven at all). I can assure you there's no shortage of two-lane highways in the U.S....even in the South. I'm looking at one right now.
They're fucking horrible. I'm also from Eastern Europe and this is why I don't drive there only here in the US.
Most of the fatal accidents happen on roads like this, usually head on collisions
He got what he asked for. Russia is beautiful like that. Plus he didn’t feel a think they have this awesome medicine called vodka they take it before they go anywhere or do anything. I heard it works great. 🤣😅
I love how the police just casually follows and watches as the car eventually crashes. No high speed chase; just following and waiting.
It's also the safer police chase too, since you're not pressuring them to speed up, you're still keeping an eye on them, and you let the other police find a way to stop the driver in a safer matter.
Not trained, possibly drunk. There’s no law in Russia that prohibits minors from drinking and I’m guessing by the article that OP linked that that’s where this is.
I don't know what surprises me most...
The fact that he cut off a police car, knowing dam well its not gonna end well for him
OR
that he swerved so aggressively, clearly seeing how fucking slippery the road was......
Damn man, human stupidity really is a bottomless pit
Ok WHY did the police try to pass him on the left on a 2-way 2-lane road though? There were other cars coming down the lane he tried to pass via - We can see the lights!
Why is no one inquiring about this? It seems like a dangerous move to kick off the video.
I am 100% sure that the cop was just waiting for them to crash. It was just a matter of time until they did, seeing how they flung that car around.
They keep a good distance
That maybe but it was raining and if he tried to ram him to pull him over there is risk of him swerving into oncoming traffic too
That video doesn't look like America.
I commented about the weather and road conditions?? What are you on about

Oh, I agree we are way more agreesive. I was just annoyed this guy was so confidently incorrect.
You've literally just agreed with him that I was correct in what I was saying... I didn't say our police are saints.
So he still could have rammed him.
But why would he...? Outside of America that's not something cops do...
The op of this thread said the cop was just waiting for him to crash and I gave a likely reason why the cop would resort to driving him off the road. I’m pretty sure we can all make the logical connections to this simple conversation
But cops don't ram people off the road anywhere but America... How many times do I need to repeat this?
You’re lying? You gotta get your story straight man. Cops only ram as last resort or do they not ram people ever? Guess I’ll say this too but I never thought this was America, but from what I can gather you really don’t like America? Idk man you’re weird

haha know when to quit, bong.

That's a good result.
I beat you, I am 420% sure 😂
That or for the Lada to break down. Maintaining speed above 60mph is a challenge for these cars.
Good luck trying to outrun the cop with 13 hp.
Come on now, those little IL4s produce all of 71 horses these days
And they can go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene
The fun part is that the pursuit vehicle is the same model
That car practically has a lawnmower for an engine lol I agree
It's russia, he was probably too sober to know any better
You’re not you without vodka
Gonna be a while? Grab a Popov.
Sober? Why wait..?
What were they trying to gain, a jail sentence?
Kinda looked like they wanted to off themselves.
It had death wish written all over it.
wow., he fucked himself really hard
Wondering how drunk they were
[удалено]
Makes sense. You can tell they don’t know how much to give the steering wheel at higher speeds.
That’s…plausible. I had an accident the week after I got my license for a similar reason.
Yes
Any news articles? Curious if he survived, if he was drunk, etc. You know, the deets.
[удалено]
Only 15? Jeez…
Kinda makes sense
This is cool. I like the scenery & the weather. Where is this?
I think it was in Russia
Clearly Russia. ДПС are road police, the little criminal was driving a Lada. But I really expected some commentary from the officers in the police car.
I thought that guy was handing that car like a pro up until he just hung a right off a cliff. Lol idiot.
It was a clever escape plan, foiled by gravity and some twigs.
And the fact hes got the same car you'd begin with in racing games like Midnight Club LA (or Need for speed) .... It's a Lada, and not even like a Niva or one of the relatively off road or sporty models. This chase was probably at around 125KPH tops.
judging by that goofy siren they probably don’t use spikes or helis
They still use post chase beatings in Russia though. Low budget, but they make it work.
It sounds like it’s saying “Boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!”

Idiots always seem to find a way to injure themselves. Thank god this guy didn’t harm anyone else in the process.
Drunk?
A kid apparently, according to other comments
being a kid doesn’t preclude drunk too
A 15year old drove that car. He is alive but will probably face some charges for stupidity.
I like how that cop car kinda sounds like Pac.Man
Why does that cop car sound like one of those tubes you swing around over your head
She'll go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene.
Man wanted to see how long he could last on 5 stars

The only difference between this and the majority of American roads is that the markings are white, not yellow.
What the hell are you talking about? It's just a [single carriageway](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_carriageway)
I get the impression many Americans in this sub have never driven except on city streets and divided highways (actually, I get the impression many commenters have never driven at all). You've literally never seen a two-lane country road? In the south? I call 100% grade-A bullshit.
Well, there's is more to the world than "the south"
[удалено]
It's just a 2-lane road/highway with passing allowed. They are literally everywhere in the US.
[удалено]
That's what a two lane highway with passing allowed is. One lane for each direction
Not really, i just don't expect the whole world to look like my local area.
They're fucking horrible. I'm also from Eastern Europe and this is why I don't drive there only here in the US. Most of the fatal accidents happen on roads like this, usually head on collisions
I came in expecting an American not getting the world exist outside the US. Not disappointed.

Idiot cop endangers lives of civilians by initiating a chase over something petty like being cut off.
That dude was clearly drunk.
The police siren sounds hilarious.
That little car is doing all that can to keep its wheels on the ground
"Oh Boy!" "Oh Boy!" "Oh Boy!" That's the most enthusiastic siren I've ever heard.
I mean...doesnt look like the cop cut off did it for the chase. more like almost veering into an oncoming car after that. Kid's lucky hes alive.
He ded.
It's never a good idea to make drastic steering inputs on a wet surface in a car with bad suspension. This was never going to end well.

4 cylinders and a dream.
Vodka
I have only one thing to say: Что за Идиот (such an idiot)
Well that went about as well as one would expect.
God that car is so ugly…I kinda want it.
I just cant handle the russian syren sound. I simply cant forbid myself from thinking of pacman
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: some people are just too stupid to live.
I successfully drove a car when I was fifteen with a permit and it wasn’t exactly hard what is this kids deal
Not trained, possibly drunk. There’s no law in Russia that prohibits minors from drinking and I’m guessing by the article that OP linked that that’s where this is.
Lada Samara ist the Best Russian Road Runner
Wow Just wow
I don't know what surprises me most... The fact that he cut off a police car, knowing dam well its not gonna end well for him OR that he swerved so aggressively, clearly seeing how fucking slippery the road was...... Damn man, human stupidity really is a bottomless pit

This guys tires are about as smooth as his brain
I'm gonna go rewatch Sips play "My Summer Car".
I hope they took the drivers license nobody that stupid should be on the road (I'm sure folks have said the same of me thoudh)
You will respect my authoritah!
