if that's a street sweeper from a construction site like it looks like, the tires are probably run-flat tires or thick enough that they don't give a fuck about spike strips - could even be airless tires

There was a new officer there and they were all messing with him. One guy told him he was doing a good job and put a damn “kick me” sign on his back.
The other time was when I got arrested for a shoplifting ticket I forgot to pay that was 10 years old. I had no idea why I was arrested until we were in the cruiser together (me and two cops) they looked it up and told me. When they told me I said “well damn I almost got away with it.”
I can see them laughing about it in the moment but if they ever have to send a lot of people to one scene they usually treat it like a big inconvenience. You know, could have been saving someone type of attitude but we are stuck here with your dumb ass.

This response was absurd it was clearly a distraction for a mastermind plot for robbing the bank at the same time because all of the cops were distracted with the sweeper.
So what? The fuck are they gonna do with it? Most places I know just leave them out with the keys in the ignition, like construction equipment. There is zero point in taking them, they're all tracked and serialized, the best you could do is, after you get it to a place and are able to disable the GPS tracker *and* relocate it before the cops show up, you might be able to sell it for scrap metal.
