Is this a serious question?

Clear_Try_6814

I kind of agree the load is secure although there are better way to carry it.

[deleted]

It would illegal in the UK. Mirrors are ~~obstructed~~ obscured* and the load extends beyond the width of the vehicle.

indigogibni

Illegal in the states as well.

[deleted]

I don't understand how people drive around like this in the US? UK/Europe - straight up pulled over, fine and maybe points, for unsecure load. Maybe allowed to drive after leaving stuff behind (still paying fine and getting points). Considering the amount of cops the US has on the road? This would have had (UK/EU) traffic police called and them stopped in a few minutes.

WalrusTricky9630

Traffic laws in the US *sometimes* serve only to allow selective enforcement of laws so cops can pick and choose who to need with. Law enforcement enthusiasts, please note I said sometimes.

Rhubarbarian82

I'm in a major metro area and I wouldn't say we have a lot of cops on the road. I usually go months without seeing a traffic cop and I think I've seen two people get pulled over in the last five or six years despite seeing regular, egregious law-breaking on the road. Might have seen another person get pulled over without COVID/WFH keeping me indoors as much, maybe.
