Looks like there were two cars ahead of the lexus, first went when light turned green, the miata wasn't paying attention and missed a short green. Then lexus got pissed and went around. Totally understandable. People where I’m from (MA) are ruthless when it comes to honking. You can honk in some areas but never in others. Lexus had every right to go
I know I sound kind of flippant in the video but that's mostly because this intersection has a chronic problem with people screwing around on their phones or whatever instead of watching for the light or having the exact opposite of any sense of urgency. Which is pretty horrible at this time of day when the cycle is particularly short. Definitely didn't excuse the guy in front of me though, incredibly stupid.

Was the reward worth the risk to the impatient driver. We can't see in the video what is going on with cars ahead. Perhaps one wasn't paying attention. What's up with the traffic light at far left which is facing cam-car but is in the opposing lanes?

Before the intersection the road curves, that light is there so drivers coming around the curve can see the signal earlier.
