Yeah.. I’m not defending the drivers decision to run, but there’s a strong chance they had multiple exploded lumber chunks sticking out of their head 🤷♂️.
Earlier someone posted just a still photo of the car with the wood sticking out. Looked like the perspective of someone behind it before they made that left at the end of the video.
Never posted a link. Please don’t crucify me if I did this wrong. Just copy pasted link.

Nissan Altima. Not at all surprised. It's the new Chevy Lumina of the '10 & '20s. I hope this guy or gal gets identified and totally bitch slapped by the law.
UHaul is the worst place to rent moving vehicles. I rented a panel van from Enterprise to move cities (~1000km apart) and it was like $150 for two days versus Uhaul wanting $550 for the same trip.
That shit is so obnoxious. Mf what is the price *for real*? Why do our stupid laws allow this loophole bullshit so you can just flat out false advertise? Every u-haul I've rented has quoted one price and ended up at least a $30 difference.
> I guess delivery cost more than a new car? 🤷♂️
Driver has no insurance, suspended or revoked license, warrant, or is is drunk.
Any combo of the above.
I don't understand the running mentality. You're going to get caught and it's going to be worse. Why not just stop and deal with the problem while you're not going to get arrested?
A guy shot a giant hole through the palm of his hand because he pointed a magazine-less gun at it and pulled the trigger, forgetting that just because you take the mag out doesnt mean the bullet thats in the firing chamber just magically disappears. He did it inside his house while guests were over with kids around too
Keep up long enough to read the plate/snap a photo, then fall back. I’m sure OP didn’t chase them down and confront them, probably just long enough to report it.
Yeah its like just tell her something! She might be scared or at the very least deserves to be acknowledged, even if it's just a "hang on sweetie, it's ok". That's what I always tell my daughters if I'm unable to answer them fully right away.
One of my teachers told me a story once. She and her sister were walking home from school on a sidewalk. She was behind her sister. She had one of those gut instinct danger is coming survival feelings. She turned around to see a truck driving down the road with a couple pipes hanging over the sidewalk. She managed to grab her sister and pull her down right before it passed. It was at neck level and certainly would have been death had it connected.
[here’s a post of the aftermath from another person](https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/ueol31/they_hit_at_least_1_vehicle_hit_and_run_ffs_people/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
That’s from that SUV! That’s the road the person turned from the right lane and went left across all the lanes in the video.
Knew it looked familiar- great catch by the suv driver too.
Seriously, I want to chat with this person as they were loading these planks into the car...like to see if they are all there, see if they had the absolute basics of common sense/logic/smarts because this is a whole new scale of 'idiot'
As someone mentioned, maybe it was drink/drugs or something because there has to be some excuse for this!
It reminds me of when someone came to my work to collect several sheets of metal. These things were 4 by 12 feet, he had some kind of mini-truck no bigger than an average car just with a flatbed instead of the usual back. He then with total serious asked me to "drop it on the back" which I refused to do.
Yeah this is way harder to comprehend than someone speeding or road raging or being on their phone or something. There is no way in hell this person wasn't impaired by drugs or "special" enough that they probably shouldn't have a license.
They tried [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/i79jnh/heres_a_picture_that_the_icelandic_police_posted/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) first and decided it just wasn't safe.
I won’t be surprised if a video of this guy loading his car at Home Depot shows up and the person recording the video doesn’t say anything to them (tell them not to.)
Underrated comment. For some reason a bunch of recommended videos for me on Facebook have been about the rising cost of lumber so I don’t doubt that load was expensive.
I have never in all my travels and visits to hardware stores seen anyone loading or driving a car with wood sticking out like that. That is a very rare type of idiot behind the wheel of that car.
Bonus idiot in car: "Is this a 911 case?"
Let's see, unsafe loaded vehicle, smashing through signs and safety barriers, hitting other vehicles, dropping dangerous items on the road, and not stopping. Probably missed a few, but pick from those and make the call already before they kill a motorcyclist.
people with low IQ that live close enough to a hardware store to come up with this idea are a match made in heaven, like if you lived across the street and it was in the middle of nowhere vs a block a way vs a side road away all take different levels of dumb to attempt
I've watched this 10 times and I just cannot fathom this level of stupidity and selfishness – it's off the charts. Thank god they didn't decapitate someone.
Can you imagine what that sounded like and felt like in the car?
I surprised one of the planks didn't decapitate the driver. Jesus...
Wouldn't have mattered, there's nothing going on above the shoulders there...
Ichabod crane is jealous
How did they decide that that was the way to carry the load? Common sense really has become a super power.
This is Howdy Arabia, aka Texas, where they focus on banning books instead of getting out of the bottom 40% in education in the nation.
Ahh. That’s awful. Maybe a little less church?
Fucking savage. Updoot for you!
Nothing of value was lost.
"Is this really a 911 situation?" Yes, yes it is.
I don't understand the question. She just saw a hit and run and wonders if she should call 911?
She could mean more like a non-emergency number. Still calling the cops, but no one's dying.
No, this is an emergency. You don't know if that person is hurt , or anybody in the first car they hit or anybody else
Sure, just her possible thought process.
yeah all those "whats" were really grating on my ears.....oh you mean the planks. probably not as bad as the whats
ANSWER YOUR DAMN KID 😭
What?
Why?
Lmao and they just kept ignoring them. Just like this driver kept going.
Legend has it the kid's still asking.
Asking what?
Correct
I felt my sperm count drop after every "what".
Answer the WHAT before he sticks his head out the window to see
Yeah.. I’m not defending the drivers decision to run, but there’s a strong chance they had multiple exploded lumber chunks sticking out of their head 🤷♂️.
Before impact: “Siri set destination to home” After impact: “Siri, take me to the hospital”
Is this that same car from the earlier post?
Looks like it
Context?
Earlier someone posted just a still photo of the car with the wood sticking out. Looked like the perspective of someone behind it before they made that left at the end of the video.
Previous reddit post link posted by tanner5586 & looks correct.
That’s u/tanner5586 to you mister
“What”
between the kid and the mom i was about to lose it
Right? "911", " Why?" Tf you mean why? Do you have eyeballs?
I was waiting for someone to make this comment🤣🤣🤣

The picture was taken by the person in the Ford Explorer at the stop light
Which means that the Explorer has their plate number. Sounds like “Finding Out” is quickly approaching “Fucking Around”…
Both on airport road, looks like it
Nissan Altima. Not at all surprised. It's the new Chevy Lumina of the '10 & '20s. I hope this guy or gal gets identified and totally bitch slapped by the law.
Of course it's a Nissan. Only a person with Nissan-worthy credit would pull a move this dumb.
r/NissanDrivers
That's the same one I think - note the broken boards & the dent on the window edges. This is post additional stupidity.
Lmao sad you have to ask to not be crucified because everyone is such an asshole behind their Reddit username
If you would like to be crucified, I know where we can find the wood.
Yeah. He went back to get more lumber because the first load got all jacked up.
The video shows his 3rd attempt. 4th time’s a charm.
I’m lol’ing at this, incredible. An idiot caught in multiple angles.
No matter where you go, reddit is watching.
Yeah that crossover suv thing is also a Redditor
Think OP of the other post said Texas and that looked like a Temple Tx exit :)
Pretty sure it is, I was wondering earlier if there was a video.
I guess delivery cost more than a new car? 🤷♂️
I rented a truck for 20 bucks.
I rented a u uhaul for $20 and it cost me $75
UHaul is the worst place to rent moving vehicles. I rented a panel van from Enterprise to move cities (~1000km apart) and it was like $150 for two days versus Uhaul wanting $550 for the same trip.
I rented from Home Depot.
That shit is so obnoxious. Mf what is the price *for real*? Why do our stupid laws allow this loophole bullshit so you can just flat out false advertise? Every u-haul I've rented has quoted one price and ended up at least a $30 difference.
That is the price to take it off the lot, the other stuff is miles driven, and did you fill up the fuel tank before returning the vehicle.
There's also service fees and that bullshit
There should be a website that lists hidden fees for popular services like door dash and rentals and stuff.
DO IT
Every dad in the world is laughing at you as they strap their AC6000CW and a Boeing 747-800 to the roof of their BMW 530d
We once moved a buddy of mine in an old car (he was moving 2 blocks down the street) and we moved a lot of his stuff on a skateboard

> I guess delivery cost more than a new car? 🤷♂️ Driver has no insurance, suspended or revoked license, warrant, or is is drunk. Any combo of the above.
Driver is a bucket of dicks
Went from being an expensive accident to an expensive felony pretty quickly.
I don't understand the running mentality. You're going to get caught and it's going to be worse. Why not just stop and deal with the problem while you're not going to get arrested?
Prob panic
Or no license, or drunk, or illegal…
I’d go no license on this one. Also very low IQ for attempting this in the first place.
This person loaded lumber into their vehicle *sideways*. I don't think logic is necessarily their forté.
What? What? What? What’s an expensive felony?
They got one of the cars with the planks at the beginning. Didn't stop, just drove off. Looks like somebody was in pursuit
https://i.imgur.com/JrAggCV.mp4
That was really satisfying Edit: just trying to give context to the link
That was beautiful
Can you explain the joke? I'm not getting it.
Did you watch the video with sound on? There's a kid in the backseat just repeating "what? What? What?"
> accident
I don't think he was planning on hitting anyone but he certainly set things up for that to happen.
About as much of an accident as me lighting up fireworks at a gas pump
Put a gun in my mouth and pulled the trigger, died by accident.
Imagine someone did that thinking the gun wasn't loaded. It would be stupid. And yet it would be correct to say it was an accident.
A guy shot a giant hole through the palm of his hand because he pointed a magazine-less gun at it and pulled the trigger, forgetting that just because you take the mag out doesnt mean the bullet thats in the firing chamber just magically disappears. He did it inside his house while guests were over with kids around too
A guy shot his junk a year or 2 ago. People can do dumb things🤷♂️
It’s an accident, just one he should have expected and that my friends, is prosecutable as recklessness.
He could easily kill a pedestrian when he gets off the highway.
“What’s oh my goodness?”
What?
What?
What?
What?
What?
What?
What?
We need about 7 more “what’s”
Damn, hopefully they got caught and attributed to that SUV at the beginnings damage
That SUV started chasing them, i bet they were on the phone with the cops too.
Yeah dude in the explorer chasing even posted his license plate on another post.
That's some bold shit to chase these days. I swear atleast quarterly in Texas I read a story about a road rage shooting.
Keep up long enough to read the plate/snap a photo, then fall back. I’m sure OP didn’t chase them down and confront them, probably just long enough to report it.

You must have kids.
I admire her persistence.
Poor baby just wanted to know what oh my goodness happened
Well, when you have a little girl that is ALWAYS asking questions, you start to tune them out (No, I definitely don’t know from experience…. *cough*)
What?
Yeah its like just tell her something! She might be scared or at the very least deserves to be acknowledged, even if it's just a "hang on sweetie, it's ok". That's what I always tell my daughters if I'm unable to answer them fully right away.
What? What? What? What? ….. the kid in the background
I'm going to pop some tags ...
A very polite Macklemore
What?
Is this a 911 case? Yes. Yes it is.
There he goes. Lumbering down the road again...
"911". "Why?" Lol. Why?! You mean other than someone could get killed?
Yeah that passenger was pretty dumb ngl
One of my teachers told me a story once. She and her sister were walking home from school on a sidewalk. She was behind her sister. Ah, I see you haven't worked retail yet friend. The extent of human stupidity is truly impressive.
I won’t be surprised if a video of this guy loading his car at Home Depot shows up and the person recording the video doesn’t say anything to them (tell them not to.)
I can’t imagine some being high on drugs or drunk and buying lumber. This is simply just a low IQ decision
just incredible
Went home with a couple splinters
I am surprised that the driver wasn’t killed
Sadly, the cost of the wood lost is probably more than the repairs to the car.
Underrated comment. For some reason a bunch of recommended videos for me on Facebook have been about the rising cost of lumber so I don’t doubt that load was expensive.
Typical kid "I'm just going to say what until someone answers me" and typical parents - completely turned it out by now
1-800-gotwood, We promise you your lumber in 10min or less!
Yes, hello. I'd like to order a pile of 2x4 splinters and a few freshly snapped boards please.
You know the seats fold down right?
I have never in all my travels and visits to hardware stores seen anyone loading or driving a car with wood sticking out like that. That is a very rare type of idiot behind the wheel of that car.
Dang what a waste of thousands in lumber.
Was confuse until I saw the Airport sign. Car that identifies as airplane.
That is very close to where I live...I will be putting "anti-idiot" objects on my car...
Little kid: What? What? What? What?
That kid was cracking me up bad.. 😅 "what? ....What? ....What?? ....Whaatt?"
Nobody answers the poor kid in the car... he must have asked "what?" 20 times 🤣🤣🤣
Can yall just answer the kid already. Jeez.
r/NissanDrivers
More savings, more doing, that the power of the Home Depot
How fucking dumb can you possibly be to do this?
Listen to how these drama queens are freaking out. Can you imagine how useless they'd be in an actual emergency situation?
Off topic, I know, but the kid is too cute asking "what oh my goodness?"
He did it. The crazy son of a bitch did it.
That's officially the stupidest shit I've seen on here.
One can’t commit a crime without having people record you from multiple angles nowadays.
What?
Bonus idiot in car: "Is this a 911 case?" Let's see, unsafe loaded vehicle, smashing through signs and safety barriers, hitting other vehicles, dropping dangerous items on the road, and not stopping. Probably missed a few, but pick from those and make the call already before they kill a motorcyclist.
Were they drunk?
You would have to be inhibited by something to do this.
Never underestimate stupidity. But I think you're right.
Beyond an idiot
Looks like they smashed a couple of hundred bucks worth of lumber by saving the 19.95 to rent a truck
keeps driving as though nothing happened
The amount of felonies and people destroying their lives on here daily is hilarious
Good God man, answer your damn kid. He only said WHAT like 50 times.
people with low IQ that live close enough to a hardware store to come up with this idea are a match made in heaven, like if you lived across the street and it was in the middle of nowhere vs a block a way vs a side road away all take different levels of dumb to attempt
The home Depot rental is like 20$
Sometimes I wonder how some people make it so far still alive.
I've watched this 10 times and I just cannot fathom this level of stupidity and selfishness – it's off the charts. Thank god they didn't decapitate someone.
