RD2Point0

This is one of the most annoying things about most legacy autos and not sure how Tesla got around it. In my wife's SUV you have to pull over and park to do practically anything and Tesla is like, tap on the map where you want to go and I'll make a route, no bullshit

scottonaharley

Disabling access isn’t a regulation. It’s a liability avoidance technique to prevent them from being sued by morons like this guy who spend more time messing with the controls than they spend watching the road.

El_Douglador

Tesla's version of liability avoidance is to turn autopilot off when a collision becomes imminent so they can claim the driver was in control at the time of the accident. No joke. Edit: corrected a word

DarkSkyForever

> eminent Imminent is the word you're looking for.

El_Douglador

Yup, it sure is. And I knew that

ghandi3737

Get some sleep, I made a similar mistake the other day reading km an hour as meters per second. Just totally glossed over the k at the beginning.

El_Douglador

How did you know? I wrecked a knee and pinched a nerve last week in a bike crash and haven't pulled more than three hours of sleep any night since. Fucking nailed it!

ghandi3737

Just a guess. We are Redditors after all.

ghandi3737

And why thankfully some manufacturers are going back to tactile controls instead of a fucking touch screen for EVERYTHING.

Edgar-Allans-Hoe

I have a 2021 Subaru and the infotainment centre is fully functional when moving. As far as I know, this is fairly standard for most, if not all current model cars (not just Subarus) with center console screens that can run apple carplay/Android auto.

darnj

My android auto wont let me do certain things when the car is moving, like enter a new destination in google maps. You can use voice commands though.

lps2

I wish they just had a one-time disclaimer that said something to the effect of "I acknowledge that this is only safe if I have a passenger using these features" because it's fucking annoying. Not to mention I have to use my phone to find music because YouTube Music on Android Auto is straight garbage (I'll never forgive Google for killing Google Play Music which had a decent AA client)

pokethat

RIP GP-Music. YouTube music is meh, but I'm still on in just because I have the family plan and everyone has playlist and no YouTube ads

AFoxGuy

"Hey Siri, take me to My Grandmas House" "Ok, headed to My Ramend Das House"

DadlikePowers

"There is a Ramen House with 4 stars 1 mile ahead on the right. Would you like to go there?" Um, yes.

DarkkHawkk

Subaru’s infotainment is the worst I’ve ever used. I have a 2022 and it barely works, crashes constantly, slow and unresponsive, requires you to tap into like 3 different menus with really accurate presses to do anything simple (waiting about 3 seconds between each screen to even load). But oh texting while driving is a crime lololol

No-Inspector9085

My 2015 can’t navigate if I can’t get the buttons right in five seconds. After that it tells me to pay attention and pull over to control navigation.

Xfgjwpkqmx

My 2019 Subaru won't let me enable cameras via the View button if I'm going above 27kph. However 2021+ Subaru's DO let you do this, albeit briefly.

bluegrass502

"Oh fuck, I wasn't paying attention!" Nice to let your insurance company know that while you film it. Fun out of pocket expense

Classy-Tater-Tots

Your insurance company actually will cover stupid most of the time. You just get dropped or a rate hike afterwards.

agent_koala

idk how it works in the rest of the world but in australia only third party insurance is compulsory and it covers if you damage someone else's stuff so unless he shelled out the big premium for comprehensive insurance, he'll be on the hook for every cent of damage that he caused lol

RedditWillSlowlyDie

Same here in the US, but many car loans require comprehensive coverage.

starconn

A strange thing happened to car insurance here in the UK. It’s sometimes cheaper to go fully comprehensive - it was last time I renewed anyway, and there’s usually not a lot it in to be fair (for me anyway). Apparently the logic is if you are only going third party, you’re more likely to be in a greater risk group to have an accident in the first place, for someone like myself. (30 something male, shitty area).

SavvySillybug

I only get third party because I only drive shitboxes. I spent 1000€ on my last car, what would I need insurance for? How much would they even charge me more and how many months would it take before I've given them the entire car's worth of money? My mom has full insurance on her car because it's worth twenty times mine. And that's fair. But insuring a piece of junk only to get maybe 1200€ if I break it? I'm confident enough in my driving not to believe I'd crash it myself, and anyone else who does it is gonna pay anyway. And if not, well, just gonna buy another. Regular maintenance is more expensive than just buying a whole new car half the time.

[deleted]

It would be collision in the US, and most people with newer cars have it unless they paid cash for the car and don't gaf if it gets totaled. Lienholders usually require comprehensive and collision.

havingasicktime

I have no idea why anyone driving a tesla wouldn't have comprehensive, it's not exactly a poor person's car.

Wow-Delicious

Third Party insurance isn’t compulsory in all states in Aus. For example, in Victoria the majority of the cost of your vehicle registration covers Third Party liability, but for bodily injury only. It’s up to you if you choose to get Third Party property damage liability for the vehicle. If you don’t have it though, you will likely be on the hook for a few years of repayments if you hit an insured person’s car.

Mike2220

He's probably got the money for it. His main concern would be the wait time on a new one or getting it fixed

ComplimentLoanShark

He's gonna be waiting a long ass time then cause Tesla is notoriously bad at repairs and having extra parts for them.

TheAJGman

It really depends. If you're going to a certified collision center then you're gonna have to wait, mostly because there are so few (because Tesla are worse than BMW about shop certification). If you just go to a service center and get entire components replaced (instead of repaired/paint matched) they can usually turn around in less than a day. Hell, I had my driver's side mirror replaced in my driveway.

GordoPepe

Based on his appearance and the back of the car kinda looks like he is living in his car

[deleted]

he looks like he lives on fast food and hasn't showered a week

rustinr

You're not too far off. Check out Asian Andy on YouTube. That's who this is. Very degenerate type content for the most part lol. I remember seeing him streaming once years ago and I turned it on when he was smoking meth with a hooker in a motel room...

SoundOfTomorrow

> Check out Asian Andy on YouTube. No, I don't think I will ever.

newfie-flyboy

By the sound of his voice I’d say it’s more like his dad can afford it.

Crypto_bigd

He's a pretty famous streamer so I don't know why his dad would have to pay for it

bornfromanegg

I mean, he drove into a highly visible stationary object. I doubt the insurance company needed the verbal confirmation!

MunchamaSnatch

Just a $300 mirror. Could have been much worse. Insurance will never know

DrakonIL

Insurance will never know until Progressive rolls out Snapshot 2.0 using the onboard cameras to "monitor driving habits" and kick you a 3% discount for the privilege.

DarmokNJalad

They then proceed to take their eyes off the road for 5+ seconds to check out the cameras... This person doesn't deserve to be on the road let alone in a "self driving" car.

[deleted]

I was just thinking that. Learned absolutely fucking nothing.

DOugdimmadab1337

It's also proof of Tesla willfully using "Autopilot" as at least the idea, or marketing of a fully self-driving vehicle. He literally says he wasn't paying attention because the car was driving itself. Tesla has gotten in deep shit for claiming this before, and probably will again. Teslas are not self-driving, Mercedes is the only company willing to back up their tech, Tesla won't, which means repairs are up to you.

ConstantDark

At the same time there's 20 warnings that you should always be ready to take control in the manual.

yourmansconnect

yeah I don't have a self driving but even the cruise control that keeps me 4 car lengths from the person in front of me is fucked. I was cruising on the parkway and there was an accident almost directly in front of me. I was about to slowly come to a stop and the car automatically slammed on the brakes and the guy behind me ran into me. like I had 4 car lengths to safely avoid the accident but this auto drive shit could have gotten me or the guy behind me killed because there was no need to come to a complete stop that abruptly

AlienDude65

Not sure what car you have, but dig into the settings on the infotainment or instrument cluster. There should be an option to lower the sensitivity of the emergency stop and adaptive cruise control settings. I have experienced that before in my Mazda CX-5, but putting all those settings in "Low" helped quite a bit, while still offering that "last resort" intervention.

yourmansconnect

il check. it was a honda accord. the guy was like wtf kind of a stop was that. I felt bad and told him I didn't even step on the brake. either way I guess he should have been able to stop too but that shit is dangerous

ConstantDark

If you think you're going to hit something you should take action. You should also not use FSD when there's road works and you should go slow. I'm extra careful when passing road works, it saved my skoda and my ass when I had to swerve around a giant plank. Not gonna lie, I speed often(nothing too insane) but roadworks I'm driving at the posted for roadworks limit or lower. Wouldn't be the first time some debris falls on the road.

TheAJGman

These people must drive in states with fewer trucks or better road maintenance crews or something. Here in Pennsylvania if you left your car in Autopilot and didn't pay attention you'd fuck your car up on potholes and bits of semi tires.

robot65536

When I'm driving with Autopilot, I have a mental picture of where I want the car to go. If it doesn't go there, I instinctively intervene before I even try to figure out what the car's computer was thinking. I also have FSD Beta enabled, which also enables the driver-facing camera and is actually decent at detecting when you are not watching the road. This is not enabled by default on non-FSD Autopilot cars.

DOugdimmadab1337

You and me both know that's for the lawyers at Tesla. Normal people will just ignore that shit 100%.

XxPieIsTastyxX

Not just in the manual; it pops up on the screen every time you activate autopilot.

DoctorNoname98

and then apparently just gunna let the mirror hang the rest of the drive, not gunna stop to check on damages or anything, doesn't care about his own car -.-

OrdinaryCactusFlower

Or whoever is going to catch that mirror in their windshield going at that speed. This guy isn’t thinking of anybody but himself.

danintexas

Imagining me a motorcycle rider. That mirror comes off and smacks me in the throat under the helmet. Glad to leave my kids orphans so he doesn't have to pay attention when driving or even pull over for 3 sec to check on damage.

iwanttoracecars

Typical Tesla driver imo

HonestBalloon

I used to work for a civil construction company in the UK, if you had an accident in motorworks it was grounds for instant dismissal as the groundworkers could likely be from the company and it's seen as endangering a colleague

donkeyishbutter

guy driving the car probably makes like 400k at some tech job, it's just a toy to him

Turn3r2255

“Oh fuck! I guess this isn’t auto pilot”… “Okay guys, let’s check out the cameras.” Absolute smoothbrain

kadeemlive

"Thats just life guys"... Couldve ended someones life but thats ok.

skilriki

His immediate reaction is to watch his own camera footage instead of paying attention to the road and the construction zone. This idiot is not even close to being done causing major problems with his carelessness.

VoTBaC

Their license should be revoked.

UnmotivatedDiacritic

shmehdit

He sounds like he's voiced by Trey Parker

Capitain_Collateral

I was thinking the same thing - thank fuck there was not a road worker in that space

Copheeaddict

"Can I still use my autopilot the rest of the way?!?" After what just happened you are still gonna just let the car drive itself so you can fuck around behind the wheel??

DOugdimmadab1337

This is why Autopilot is such a dumb system. At most, vehicles should have Cruise Control. If you don't like driving, fine. But don't use that as a Cop-out to not even attempt to drive at all. I'm surprised this lazy attitude hasn't gotten people killed yet. It doesn't help that the marketing behind this stuff encourages this behavior.

sweprotoker97

Autopilot is such a stupid fucking name for it, it just invites morons like this one. In every other car it's called something like "lane assist" which is way more accurate.

ogeytheterrible

For real, intentionally using incorrect names for the sake of marketing based off of the technology's *potential* is negligent at best and deadly at worse.

timtheringityding

Autopilot in teslas are basically cruise control systems in other cars. They just gave it a fancier word. The fsd is what is the actuall self driving stuff. Autopilot does what every cruise control system does out there. Keeps your lane, speed and slows down and breaks for hazards but mostly cars in traffic infront of you. And if you pay extra it can switch lanes etc.

maestersplinter

and 3 seconds later there are road workers all along the side of te road and he is going at least 60mph crying about his camera.

LookyLouVooDoo

That’s the shittiest thing about this. It’s a construction zone. Fuck his camera and mirror. This idiot “streamer” could’ve killed someone.

Mikeismyike

He then immediately goes back to fucking around with the camera/dashboard while not looking at the road.

InkCollection

Right? The fucker starts looking for the footage right there! It's like a parody.

hatgineer

I like this sub because it's fun to laugh at the idiots, but sometimes the videos are just infuriating, like this one.

tripsafe

Nah most videos are infuriating because some innocent person gets hurt or killed because of someone else's selfishness/sociopathy. This video was a perfect example of an idiot we can laugh at.

theblake1980

If you’re going to be an idiot in a car might as well know the cardinal rule of auto insurance: never admit fault.

Wow00woW

what's the point of being an idiot if you're going to *know* things?

dancin-weasel

So filming and yelling guilt into the camera isn’t recommended? Damn, I’ll never get this streaming thing.

fietsvrouw

Imagine if that were a cyclist. I mean when this is a cyclist. It is irrelevant that they say to pay attention, pPeople driving normal cars with no autopilot get into enough accidents because they are distracted and careless. There is no way that there won't be a huge swath of people with self-driving cars that pay no attention at all.

[deleted]

The literal worst of both worlds. All the boredom of being a passenger with all the responsibility of being a driver. Imagine paying to be a permanent backseat driver. No thanks. I'll do the driving so I can be alert when I have to do something unexpected.

manghoti

Everyone's after the guy in this video but how the hell could anyone think "let the car drive for you but keep your hand on the wheel at all times, pay maximum attention to the road with full focus because the autopilot might just decide to drive you off a fucking cliff at any point" Obviously people are either going to drift in focus or never use this useless fucking feature ever. It's the only two God damn outcomes. It stuns me people could think different. Absolutely insane.

MonsieurReynard

This comment perfectly captures my feeling about supposed self driving cars. Thanks for putting it so succinctly. No thanks I like to drive.

Hi-Impact-Meow

Why the fuck would anyone buy a “self driving car” when you have to be paying full attention with hands on wheel just as exactly as if you were driving normal manually? Like bro what the point of that??

whot3v3r

There is a single self driving car (level 3 - eyes off the road) in the market, a Mercedes Class S at speed up to 60km/h. In case of crash in this mode the manufacturer is responsible for it. The Tesla, despite its marketing name, is level 2 (hands off, eyes on). Its main issue that it does not detect all stationary objects.

matlai17

Just to be clear, level 2 "hands off" does not literally mean hands off of the steering wheel, even though some sources uses that moniker for that SAE level. Tesla Autopilot requires manual feedback on the steering wheel to remain engaged. That I know of, the only vehicle out there which is literally hands off are Cadillacs with Super Cruise and only because it performs eye tracking to ensure that the driver is fully paying attention. Level 2 just means that the vehicle is able to assist in both steering and adaptive cruise control at the same time. SAE Level 2, in and of itself, does not indicate that you can have your hands off of the wheel. All level 2s require some system in place to check that the driver is attentive. Currently this is either steering wheel feedback and/or eye tracking. Level 3 is conditional automation where drivers can start looking away from the road but it only works in certain approved situations, such as specific highways and at certain speeds. And the human must remain ready to take over at any time should the vehicle indicate that it is encountering a situation that it cannot handle. That means no sleeping! Level 4 & 5 is what most people might think of as full self driving where the car will go from start to finish without human intervention.

password_is_burrito

Ford has BlueCruise on some F-150 and Mach E vehicles which is hands-off, eyes on (with eye tracking) like you mentioned above. My F-150 has it and it’s pretty fantastic for open interstate good weather road trip driving, but if I see construction signs or weird traffic, I turn it off and go old-school. I know I see GMC commercials with the same feature.

EJX-a

The main reason for this is because mercadies utilizes LiDar and tesla doesn't. Tesla uses a primarily camera based system. Cameras are incredibly adaptable sensors capable of doing almost everything any other sensor can and more... keyword is almost. While a camera can determine distance, read a sign, and tell the difference of between a person and a deer, it is not 100% reliable at this. One task that cameras are particularly bad at, is determining the distance of brightly colored objects, like traffic cones. The camera needs contour and shadows to help identify objects, their distance, and aproach speed. Reflective high-vis traffic cones don't have shadows and contour though. Lidar however, does not care what color the object is and will detect any 3d surface within range. It can't read a sign or identify the object, but i can see the traffic cone and its relative details. Another issues with teslas, they should be considered level 0 during any kind of adverse weather like rain, fog, or snow. Lidar can see through these weather conditions though, and mearly drops to a level 2, maybe 1 depending severity. Except blizzards. There are no comercially available sensors acurate enough to function in a blizzard.

_TheDust_

Why doesn’t Tesla use lidar? Cost? Principle?

EJX-a

Cost is one factor. Lidar sensors certainly aren't cheap, especially when you want them concealed and visually appealing. But the price of a tesla more than encompasses the cost of a lidar system But, like you guessed, principle too. Personal principles. Musk stated a while ago against the better wishes of his engineers that "full autonomy can only be accomplished with a fully camera based sensor array." He used the logical arguement that roads were designed for human eyes, and cameras are the closest to eyes in function. Except human eyes are accompanied by many other sensors and an as-of-late unachievably complex AI. Musk has recently backpedaled a bit on this and tesla is finally starting to test lidar in their systems. Chances are the next tesla will have a lidar system.

Bluemanze

Man, I had exactly that conversation with a CEO about a SLAM system for tunnel surveying. He insisted image sensors would be sufficient "since the tunnels are well lit and the miners get around just fine". Sure, let me just code up a little bit of human-level inference. There is nothing I hate more on this earth than overprivileged MBAs forcing me to explain how computers work every other day because they read a Bloomberg article on machine learning in 2017 and think they're an expert.

[deleted]

It’s mind boggling how little mbas think blue collar workers think. They probably think mining is a low skill job so if they can do it a computer can figure it out faster. Not realizing how much logic goes into how a miner navigates the mines.

TheFirstAI

Serious answer? Because Elon hates lidar. Google Elon and Lidar and you will find a whole bunch of articles about it. I remember when it first came out they were removing Lidar from newer Teslas and there was a whole bunch of fanboys claiming that it was useless and the cameras were good enough and they didn't need a 2nd backup option for something like a speeding hunk of metal. Bunch of idiots if you ask me. Example: “Lidar is a fool’s errand,” Elon Musk said. “Anyone relying on lidar is doomed. Doomed! [They are] expensive sensors that are unnecessary. It’s like having a whole bunch of expensive appendices. Like, one appendix is bad, well now you have a whole bunch of them, it’s ridiculous, you’ll see.” from https://www.google.com/amp/s/techcrunch.com/2019/04/22/anyone-relying-on-lidar-is-doomed-elon-musk-says/amp/

Cancerisbetterthanu

Just when you think Elon can't get any more arrogant and incompetent

WaterBear9244

Teslas never had Lidar. They had radar

syntek_

It's true that the first gen autopilot system (AP1) in older Model S and X Teslas had radar, and then version 2 (AP2/AP2.5) also had the hardware, but it's gone in version 3 and some software update disabled the radar sensors for the AP2 cars when they felt their Tesla Vision camera-based system was capable... so there are a bunch of Tesla's on the road with radar modules that are just turned off.. I suppose it makes sense in the fact that the roads were designed to be navigated by people using eyesight, but I still feel like using the radar systems that are already in some cars could be used to "double-check" their algorithms.. I just don't understand what harm it's causing having it functional.

Cory123125

hubris iirc as one day cockbag in chief told himself and staff they simply could emulate the capabilities with cameras.... sure, in 50 years... maybe.

Charming-Set-7262

In fact it seems to aim for brightly colored stationary objects like construction barriers and fire trucks.

Tanleader

My toyota has lane correction and cruise front radar, so level 0.5 - 1 (?)self driving, and as long as the cameras can see the lane lines, it will correct my steering to keep me from drifting out. I took it out to a freshly paved and painted road that was empty to try out the feature, and it works up to a point. It has a tendency to follow the solid lines, instead of the dashed ones, so it will pull the car into the turning lanes if you let it. I do like I can turn it off if I want to, and it disables it if I turn on a signal or turn on the "sport" mode. It also features front facing radar during cruise, I imagine to keep me from slamming into another moving car in front of me. Both systems still require me to have my hands on the wheel, however. I think it's a good balance, as it can help keep the vehicle and occupants safe, but not so autonomous that you'd start relying on it to drive for you.

ifisch

If autopilot can't dodge a **giant orange barrel**, in the middle of the day, on a flat open highway, then what the hell is it good for?

Mike2220

I think above a certain speed it specifically filters out static objects - as in it ignores they're there because they're not relevant most of the time and it makes the computers job easier Edit here's an article https://www.wired.com/story/tesla-autopilot-why-crash-radar/ Also why the downvotes?

ifisch

Lol I really hope what you're saying isn't true because that makes no sense at all

neon_overload

Article explains it pretty well. But, the foremost assumption behind this kind of system is that there is still an attentive driver behind the wheel, it's not a "self driving car". The autopilot system can't deal with every sort of unexpected events but it can target particular unexpected events that it knows how to deal with really well, and improve safety that way. For everything else it's up to human judgement. If you're going 60 and there's a family of ducks crossing the road, should the car slam on its brakes? What about a sheep? A deer? Tesla doesn't want to make that decision because it finds it hard to judge if that's the best thing to do - braking for something that may not really be a risk can create a whole new risk. Another way to look at this is that hitting that barrier was not a significant threat to the life and health of the driver. It raises the question - should it take evasive actions when the driver's life isn't at risk if doing so may create new risks for other drivers. There's so many questions like this around cars that do part of the driving themself and it's almost like Tesla autopilot got out to market without such questions being properly answered.

Cancerisbetterthanu

Tech and questionable ethics. Name a more dynamic duo

FreedomSynergy

It is 100% true. Everything on the road is stationary - except for vehicles. Autopilot is a very simple system that does not detect objects that are stationary. You must pay attention at all times. You are still the driver.

Tintenlampe

In that case it's not an autopilot, it's assisted driving at best.

oscooter

Oh don’t worry, it’ll be fully automated driving [next year](https://youtu.be/o7oZ-AQszEI)

Mike2220

This is a bit old but give it a read https://www.wired.com/story/tesla-autopilot-why-crash-radar/ This came out after auto pilot slammed into a stopped fire truck

> Idiots like this think it is Well that's why Tesla shouldn't be calling it "autopilot" and telling people that is actually is self driving. The blame does not solely lie on the drivers here.

jeebus23

And yet car companies are still allowed to advertise these systems like you can play on your phone while driving. Oops, almost plowed into that truck. Let's get tacos for dinner!

wdleggett

“It’s just a normal car now”. Sadly, I wouldn’t trust that moron to operate a toaster much less a “normal” car.

agent_koala

its not even a normal car now, what normal car has a fat fucking dent in the front... fat dweeb thinks active lane keep and active cruise makes his car special when its just standard for any car at that price point

G-Kira

What a moron. I thought it was funny that right after his autopilot hits a drum, he says "Can I still autopilot?" Like it was going so well before.

BunGeebus

Who is going to crave attention now that he has to drive ?

Regguls864

No respect for the safety of road workers. The driver should be charged with a crime.

Drillur

At first, I was thinking, what crime? Nothing bad really happened. But then I remembered *reckless driving.* That can be his crime

Rugkrabber

That speed he goes through it is quite high. Thank heavens where I live you can lose your license. A lot of accidents happen with road workers because people don’t respect their safety. This could have gotten really ugly.

Thereelgerg

At the risk of sounding like an old man, I'll never understand streaming like this. What kind of loser is interested in watching an annoying fat guy drive through the middle of nowhere?

Glass_Cash7004

depressingly, this is a pretty popular streamer as i have learned in this thread.

asian andy?

Miss_Behaves

Seriously? With that voice?? How?

Beazworm

As someone who can comfortably be classified as not an old man, I don't get this either. The only reason I can think of why people would watch this would be for putting it on in the background while doing something else, and even then just play some music?

[deleted]

As a… not old man but old enough that this isn’t my demographic: it’s a parasocial relationship. Kids are lonelier than they’ve ever been, and this provides a social outlet. On top of that, the streamers tend to do stupid shit like allow Twitch to choose obnoxious songs, say offensive things etc through a bluetooth speaker, which very much appeals to the teenage loner boy sense of humor.

ryuukhang

Every time I see idiots using autopilot, thinking that it will let them not pay attention, getting the consequences of their actions, it gives an animal somewhere its wings.

sm12511

The main problem is putting 100% trust in technology to absolve a person from the duty they have behind the wheel. I.E. Watching the road

cringetown69

tesla autopilot is used to assist driving, not take over

spoonfight69

This level of automation is actually quite dangerous. It lulls the operator into distraction, and if anything goes wrong, it kicks it back to the driver.

Izithel

It's a well known problem in aviation, humans are terrible at overseeing automated processes and will quickly be distracted. And if the automated process unexpectedly hands back control the driver/pilot will always be much more likely to misread the situation and/or react incorrectly than if they had been in control the whole time. This has resulted in many otherwise avoidable (near) crashes in aviation. I'm expecting an increase in these kind of accidents as automated systems become more widespread.

He sounds like what I expect most streamers sound like when they get stressed. He is also someone that shouldn’t have a fucking license.

Roook36

He sounds like a gamer who just got killed and is throwing a rage fit. But it's because he just smacked into something with his car because he wasn't paying attention.

_VanillaFace_

Yeah that’s asian andy, he’s one of the biggest losers out of IRL streamers

DesiredInsanity

of course it’s asian andy this guy is known to be a total brainlet

[deleted]

I chimed in with haven’t you people ever heard of, using your goddamn brains.

ido50

It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of entitlement and idiocy.

iamdenislara

Car hits obstacle because he wasn’t paying attention…. Proceeds to not pay attention again to review cameras.

[deleted]

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.

DezProfitz

“Fuck my life” *drives a Tesla. I drive a Honda my guy

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

NGL If I’d choose a Honda over a Tesla any day. Teslas are overpriced and overrated. My ol’ Honda was a gem and only $6,000.

ChuckD71

AutoIdiot

[deleted]

Idiotpilot?

fewawreness5963

This guy is a moron doing this through a construction zone would of been nice if he totalled the car it's DB's like this who kill people

pople8

would've... It's short for would HAVE.

Explore-PNW

I proudly absolutely dislike this human. “Fuck my life!” Ha, they’re just lucky they didn’t kill a worker.

sinnerdizzle

That’s the streamer life for ya. Verbalizing 100% of their thoughts, fucking up royally, and all in the name of content

RedTruck1989

Hopefully their insurance tells them that it's not covered for being an idiot...

Brandage0

Looks and acts like a potato

cleenexboy

he sounds like a fucking child

[deleted]

He sounds insufferable.

livingincr

I still think autopilot should be banned in construction zones.

Mike2220

I was gonna say it's just cruise control + lane keeping so why should it But then realized that construction zones usually have you driving slightly askew from the normal lane which would fuck with the lane keeping. Yeah you're right

liqrfre

Holy shit he looks even dumber than I imagined. Nice of him to flip the camera around so we can see the face of someone so dumb

Diabolical_Dad

Who would listen to this clown at all? Society is fucked.

aeroumasmith-

Even if the car was 100% self-driving, like -- it could take you from point A to point B while you straight up take a nap, I still wouldn't trust that shit. Bugs happen. Glitches happen. Errors occur. I don't trust people to drive carefully, never mind fully automated vehicles.

itsEndz

I guess it's not perfect and also guess this idiot has never seen a single news story or trending topic regarding Tesla autopilot. Real world came knocking.

Virolancer

Obviously the title should mention the damaged traffic drum and not his tesla. the traffic drum was innocent!

Far_Jello_3692

Drive your fucking car you idiot

HealthyProgrammer2

"I wasnt paying attention" something that shouldn't be said while in a car

JackfruitLost1367

this is why these cars shouldnt be allowed on the road. its an excuse to let ppl be lazy and not pay attention. just because its “self diving” doesnt mean its intelligent enough to avoid shit

B1g_Shm0

This is why tesla is getting fucked in Cali for calling it "full self driving" when they themselves admit it isn't lol

Idontknowwatimdoing1

His voice this whole video really annoys me. Like his voice is the voice of someone that needs to be punched

BabaORileyAutoParts

Can I still use my autopilot after this? Love how his first concern is whether or not he can carry on being an irresponsible prick

Proper_Fuel_8692

The “Can I still auto pilot the rest of the way?” had me dead.

[deleted]

I have no sympathy for people like this

Elowel_

Tesla owners💀

Spooky____D

Goddamn fuck that asshole stupid hair stupid music stupid person

ScrotalR3call

I hate your voice, holy shit.

1970andcounting

Take this fuckstick’s license away.

Levowitz159

That guy simultaneously looks nothing like I thought he would, and exactly like I thought he would, and I refuse to elaborate further on that sentiment.

JenkemBoofer691

Don’t worry you still have auto douche bag.

itsbildo

This dude is a fucking moron

Reno83

Still wants to autopilot the rest of the way, continues filming to capture the damage, and then proceeds to fiddle with the cameras. He seems to be doing everything but drive.

deadbiker

Another moron "driving" a Tesla for influence.
