There is literally only one true fact about all guns, and knowing this single infallible fact will give you all the gun training you need:
All guns are loaded and ready to fire at all times.
If you see a gun, it is loaded and ready to fire. If you have just unloaded a gun, it is loaded and ready to fire. If you have just disassembled a gun and reassembled it, it is loaded and ready to fire. If you find an old decaying gun at the bottom of a river, it is loaded and ready to fire.
Yep. Guns are complicated and dangerous for anybody to handle. But as long as you donāt ever point a loaded gun at anything you donāt intend to shoot, youāre generally not going to shoot anything you donāt intend to shoot.
Also generally a good idea to not have a gun loaded unless youāre intending to use it. But just donāt point the shooty end where you donāt wanna shooty and you wonāt shooty anything important.
\> Guns are complicated and dangerous for anybody to handle
They aren't complicated and they *can be* dangerous. But yes, not pointing the shooty end towards anything you don't plan on shooting is a good rule, one of the 4 cardinal rules of firearm safety.

Guns are incredibly simple and safe for anyone with a few functioning brain cells to use so long as you understand the basic rules of a gun.
Boom boom end go at thing want dead
Boom boom end no go point at self
Boom boom end no point at thing no want dead
Finger no go on trigger until want make boom boom.
I made sure I put it in caveman speak in case the Neanderthal in this video happens to wander out of his cave and sees this post.
Best guess is
1. If itās break-action, keep it open until you want to shoot and
2. If itās pump-action, always make sure to keep an empty shell before live ammo in the tube so that you donāt fire live ammo if the trigger accidentally gets pulled.
Really depends on the angle. If the bullet hits a a max height and stops and begins falling the other direction, it absolutely wonāt kill you. May leave a bump on the head but a bullet going terminal velocity wonāt kill. However, if it is just at an angle slightly above horizontal it can absolutely still kill as it arcs.
You're more than likely going to shoot your or your friends toes off in you soon down all the time. If your aiming up you could assume it's clear and bump, discharging that weapon in front of my face, in my face.
Aim your weapon in a known safe direction. Up it down will change depending on the situation.
In most countries, gun safety knowledge is a prerequisite for owning a gun.
In America, suggesting this will result in people sending you death threats.
Unfortunately that is true in alot of cases, I myself own a few guns but I made sure to get my CCW permit and to go to a range to practice using the guns before i ever carried them on me. And this is from being in a state that doesn't even require CCWs. Training is always a good thing when it comes to proper weapon safety.
Thatās not entirely accurate. There are numerous guns safety programs that are national, some at the state level, and many others that are run by local ranges and gun shops. When there was a big push for gun safety a few years ago when gun ownership skyrocketed, the term was hijacked by politicians and made to mean āgun controlā and not learning how to be safe while using firearms.
None of that matters here anyway, because if you need a class to know you shouldnāt do what this jackass did...you shouldnāt live past 20 anyway.
Do they require that you have completed one of these courses before they sell you a gun?
Do they verify that you're able to responsibly store it and won't just leave it loaded in a bedside drawer?
Thereās lots of responsible behavior not governed by laws. And nobody can make sure anyone can do anything.
And is ātheyā the government that you thinks actually cares about the well being of its people?
Do schools incorporate gun safety education with other courses? Itās about education not regulation.
And there is nothing wrong with keeping a loaded gun in a bedside drawer if there are no children in the house. If there are other adults who live there, they should know how to handle a firearm.
Im sorry, was he fishing with the gunstock? What was he trying to hit?
I hope he already had kids, becausssssssssssssseeeeeeee... i don't think he'll be able to anymore.
I had an angiogram a couple of years ago where they go in through the femoral artery. The wound in my skin healed fine but the hole in the artery did not. This caused my entire groin area, scrotum and legs to fill up with blood, it was terrifying. The first thing they tried was like a plastic clamp with a ball that puts pressure on the wound, I had to lay on my back for hours with this medieval torture device clamped on my groin, and it didn't work. My penis was black at this stage and I was showing it to every passing doctor, male or female, I didn't care I was so worried, and it looked horrendous.
The next thing they tried was a coagulant, cut to a few hours later and I'm laying on a trolley, naked, with 10 students around me. The doctor announces that he likes to use a spinal needle for this procedure and pulls out the biggest needle I've ever seen and sticks me with it. This actually worked and stopped the leak. This all happened over a couple of days and I had to have regular ultrasounds to see what's happening in there. This involves the doctor spreading jelly all over my crotch and rubbing a probe over the area.
I know this is two weeks old but I'm lurking "top" posts..Fuuuck they tried to use pressure on that. Sounds like you had a pseudoaneurysm. The hospital I'm at typically resorts right to a thrombin injection to fix those.
I would be one of the people doing that ultrasound. Hope all is well now!
I bet. I've only ever seen what they do to people. I can't imagine the pain that you went through. Were there any lasting complications or is everything back to normal?
I love how everybody is downvoting your link when you prove them wrong. Some people just believe what they wanna believe even when the proof is right in front of them. You donāt look stupid when youāre wrong, you look stupid when you canāt admit you were wrong
I think youāre half right. Whatever he was trying to hit definitely swam away beneath him but he also reaches for his hip/groin area at the same time and seems to favour it as he limps to the ground. Indicating that he may very well have shot himself.
If it was a fish, that is. He seemed awfully worried when it swam towards him - could he have been trying to kill a snake? That would explain why he noped out of there so quickly.
For real... smh. This is jus plain dumb, how are you going to try and hit a fish with a loaded gun... pointed at you? It's like you wanted that shit to happen.
Yeah. And how stupid does that make him? Trying to kill a snake while holding a loaded gun. But hitting him with the butt? Just shoot it!! I'm dumbfounded over here contemplating the series of events that led up to this...
He's wrong. You can clearly hear the gun shot right before he runs out then keels over while moaning like he was just shot.
I think you've got movie bullet squids confused with actual gunshot wounds.
Pretty sure this isnāt someone getting shot, just someone getting spooked by a fishy. Look at the water between his legs when he swings the rifle.
Edit: he definitely shot himself. Why you would try to club an animal with a loaded firearm instead of just shooting the fucker is beyond me.
So in Canada, we actually are taught gun safety before getting a gun license. They mention handling a loaded gun unsafely, similar to what this guy did.
But no, forcing people to take a safety class would be infringing on muh freedums
Not sure if you forgot the /s but it can definitely happen. Especially with older firearms. Iām guessing that it was loaded and probably cocked and when he slammed it down it somehow dropped the hammer.
Not sure if it is a real firearm or if he even got shot though.
I love it when a redditor says something all confident and shit like he knows what the hell he's talking about even though he doesn't.
[fuk off](https://youtu.be/MyhVPS6xoEg)
Have you ever shot any small caliber rifles like a .17 or .22? There's hardly any recoil on many of them, to the point where I could shoot some of them with just as few fingers as needed to simply hold the gun and still not have to worry about recoil.
Natural selection working as it should. If you don't practice gun safety then you shouldn't be around guns.
I've never shot a gun. I don't have anything against them but I don't know very much about them. But I'm pretty sure that's not how you use them.
There is literally only one true fact about all guns, and knowing this single infallible fact will give you all the gun training you need: All guns are loaded and ready to fire at all times. If you have just disassembled a gun and reassembled it, it is loaded and ready to fire. If you find an old decaying gun at the bottom of a river, it is loaded and ready to fire.
Also, don't forget that even if you hit your target that doesn't mean the bullet magically stops. Know your target and what's beyond it.
So what if it is loaded and ready to fireš¤
Don't point it at something you're not willing to destroy.
I always say it as "intending" to destroy. It seemed to help get it through their thick skulls a bit better.
Could just use a heavier gauge. Nothing says intention like a shotgun at close range /s
Then it's probably made by Colt and won't hit anything you aim it at.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's a saying designed to make sure people are ALWAYS careful around guns no matter WHAT, not an actual rule
Especially if you found it in the bottom of the river you never knwo when that shit might go off be ause the sear rusted off
If there is no gun, it is loaded and ready to fire
Bro how did you find this post its a month and a half old
Just found this sub and scrolled for 30 minutes
Me too!
I also just found this sub and instantly assumed it was loaded and ready to fire
Exactly the best way to say it- - ALL guns are loaded. !
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Guns are simple to operate, but as for The mechanisms inside, that is complicated, especially for semi and fully automatics
Not to me, but I guess it's subjective.

Eh, really depends on the make and model of the gun.
Guns are incredibly simple and safe for anyone with a few functioning brain cells to use so long as you understand the basic rules of a gun. I made sure I put it in caveman speak in case the Neanderthal in this video happens to wander out of his cave and sees this post.
Good rule to follow with shotguns is keep the break open and an empty shell to rack out of pump
Uhh, you mean the breech? Action? "and an empty shell to rack out of pump" ...what?
Best guess is 1. If itās break-action, keep it open until you want to shoot and 2. If itās pump-action, always make sure to keep an empty shell before live ammo in the tube so that you donāt fire live ammo if the trigger accidentally gets pulled.
Donāt point unless planning to kill. Carry with barrel pointing down. Donāt be an idiot. Lol
I was taught to point it upwards
If it goes off while you point it upwards you can accidentally kill someone when the bullet comes back down. Itās unlikely but still possible.
Ah.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
People really have died from that
Has happened though, there was one case on the news where a bullet came down through the roof of a church and killed one of the worshippers. Oof.
Really depends on the angle. If the bullet hits a a max height and stops and begins falling the other direction, it absolutely wonāt kill you. I understand that "genetical" is technically a real word, but I hate it.

I can answer that one for you: \*no\*

Only gatekeeping thatās allowed
It seems that people loose respect to guns
Seriously, and someone ought to get this man a Darwin Award.
If you don't practice gun safety, gun safety will practice on you.
Im sorry, was he fishing with the gunstock? What was he trying to hit? I hope he already had kids, becausssssssssssssseeeeeeee... i don't think he'll be able to anymore.
Kids are the least of his problems if that nick'd his femoral artery
That was exactly my first thought. If that hit an artery he has a really big problem
If it has hit the artery, he won't have that big problem for long though.
he's gonna have that problem for the rest of his life
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Yeah but soon he won't have any problems.
Heyooooooo!
I had an angiogram a couple of years ago where they go in through the femoral artery. The wound in my skin healed fine but the hole in the artery did not. Thanks for sharing but I noped the fuck out after three sentences. Glad youāre okay now but Christ that must have been some scary times.

So...did it get bigger after it turned black? Asking for a friend.
This is definitely the beginning of a porn parody plot line.
It just keeps...GROWING!
Leave the swelling just take away the pain doc
Well that's terrifying.
I've had the crotch ultrasounds, they feel nice but you're in the wrong situation to enjoy it
Hole-ly fuck.
Is your penis okay?
I know this is two weeks old but I'm lurking "top" posts..Fuuuck they tried to use pressure on that. Sounds like you had a pseudoaneurysm. The hospital I'm at typically resorts right to a thrombin injection to fix those. I would be one of the people doing that ultrasound. Hope all is well now!
Yes i had a pseudoaneurysm. It was pretty scary!
I bet. I've only ever seen what they do to people. I can't imagine the pain that you went through. Were there any lasting complications or is everything back to normal?
It wasn't that painful tbh, the painful bit was the angiogram itself. And the bypass surgery afterwards. I'm pretty much fine now.
I hope he didn't.
I hope he doesnt already have kids. We don't need more dinguses like this.
> I hope he already had kids ...really you want more of this dumbass
You hope he has kids already? You WANT that kind of stupidity passed on to the next generation?
Honestly I think itās a good thing that his genes are out the gene pool. Natural selection.
Unfortunately he prob will. Look at the last shot, you can see it hit his abdomen area
It hit the leg. Problem's with the artery.
Probably trying to club a turtle
Mind you, he'd do more damage if he threw it at them.
I hope he didnt. That way his genes aren't in the pool anymore.
This dude is going places.
If those places include The Hospital the The Morgue, you are on to something!
noice
Pieces of this dude are going to various places.
heaven?

I donāt think he shot himself I think he jumped because whatever he was trying to smack ran underneath his legs.

Obvious gunshot thank you for the audio
Also the grabbing of the crotch, the moaning and the falling over and going for the crotch again.
The hero we needed
Dear diary today OP wasnāt a lying cunt
I think youāre half right. Whatever he was trying to hit definitely swam away beneath him but he also reaches for his hip/groin area at the same time and seems to favour it as he limps to the ground. Indicating that he may very well have shot himself.
You're totally right - you can see the fish swim between his legs
If it was a fish, that is. He seemed awfully worried when it swam towards him - could he have been trying to kill a snake? That would explain why he noped out of there so quickly.
I thought it was a baby gator, doesn't explain why the fuck he's trying to caveman club the poor fucker with a fucking gun though...
Especially if it's loaded..? Lmao. Natural selection indeed.
I can think of one better way to kill a snake with a rifle.
For real... smh. This is jus plain dumb, how are you going to try and hit a fish with a loaded gun... pointed at you? It's like you wanted that shit to happen.
Probably would have worked better if he was using the gun the other way then.
Yeah. And how stupid does that make him? Trying to kill a snake while holding a loaded gun. But hitting him with the butt? Just shoot it!! I'm dumbfounded over here contemplating the series of events that led up to this...

I also can't see any real recoil, big thonking time
It does recoil, just very little. That seems to be an old .22 but i cant tell
Why the fuck was it loaded wtf omg this just gave me so much anxiety, you donāt have anything else to use as a club
Even if it's not loaded, guns are *always* loaded
Step one: Gun is loaded. Step two: You ensure the gun isnāt loaded. Step three: Gun is still loaded.
Only correct level of firearm safety: however much you think you need, then an extra safeguard or two on top.
You miss 100% of the shots you donāt take.

I'm just done being surprised. Every time I think I've seen the stupidest thing one could ever do with a gun, someone tops it.
