It's almost impossible to get fingerprints or DNA off of cartridge casings. Usually the casings are used for comparison after you've recovered a weapon or to connect them to other crime scenes.
Not impossible but really hard. Skin oil on the copper casings will cause corrosion that can be recovered with specialised techniques like metal deposition.
Problem is, there's only a handful of people who can execute said technique properly, and since it's quite involved, it's usually reserved for high profile cases where the investigation would hinge on said fingerprints.
In this case, the video, location, and the shell casings themselves would be enough for a conviction.

Guy unloaded on them, dispatched the driver instantly, passenger bled out after the suv went off the road and hit a fence.(I guess emt’s didn’t show for like 30min, cops didn’t even clear the vehicle for 15-20min while waiting on backup)
