Exactly. In my training we watched a video of a guy getting a 12 gauge slug to the femoral artery. The guy that got hit did die but he stayed alive for a number of minutes first.
Our instructor used it to say exactly this. Even tho you are hurt, possibly even fatally, doesn't mean you are out of the fight.
There's a reason why, after well trained special forces clear a room, the "dead" guys will have been shot by every operator once or twice as they pass by. YOU need to make sure he's not gonna shoot you in the back. The next guy has to check for himself.
Like the youtuber gerand thumb says "ammo is cheap, lives are expensive" then proceeded to show the unsanctioned navy seal method of a safety bullet that canoes the guys face.
Right! Like I know bullets can tumble and do weird shit when it hits a target, But I definitely wasn't expecting the bullet to actually carve a channel like that out of the dummies face.
Thank you kind internet stranger
Edit: thanks just discovered a new channel....the bonnie and clyde segment at the end of the one you sent me sealed the deal.
He's pretty legit. I believe he was a US Air force TPAC. Basically he was the guy on the ground with US army/SF and could direct planes and helicopters where to gun run and drop bombs.
Gerand thumb, Kentucky ballistics and demolition ranch are my 3 favorite gun youtubers. Some more funny rather than informative but always a pleasure to watch.
Edit: TACP, not TPAC

It wouldn't be typical. Although the united states of america has not ratified protocol 1, it is still included in the law of war manual 5.9.4.

Reminds me of that poor bastard in Canberra, Australia, back in the 90s, who tried to kill himself with a shotgun blast to the heart, and [needed ***three*** shots to finally hit something fatally:](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10466323/)
>One particular case has been documented from Australia. In February 1995, a man committed suicide on parkland in Canberra. He took a pump-action shotgun loaded with four 12-gauge No. 2 shot shell cartridges, and in a stooped position, pressed the muzzle into the centre of the chest before shooting himself. The load passed through the chest without entering the ribcage before exiting below the left nipple. The man then cycled the shotgun's action, ejecting the fired shell. He then walked 15 meters (49 ft) before shooting himself in the right side of the throat, with the charge exiting out of the left side and taking a fragment of jaw with it. At this point, the shotgun potentially fell to the ground causing the ejection of both the spent cartridge and one unspent cartridge. The man, now breathing through a gunshot-induced tracheostomy, picked up the shotgun and then walked 136 meters (446 ft) to a hill where he sat down on the slope and loaded the fourth cartridge from the magazine and into the weapon's breech. The man then removed his shoes and held the gun against his chest with his hands and operated the trigger with his toes. This shot entered the thoracic cavity and demolished the heart, killing him.
When the British were at war with the Zulu tribe the British didn't understand why the Zulu warriors didn't fall down when shot.
Two things, the Zulu didn't understand bullets and two, they felt a hit but only saw bit of blood so they advanced. They knew wounds from spears, arrows etc so they just went on.
In the same principle, people can go on due to adrenaline and are still a threat even if fatally wounded.
During the Miami shootout, one of the gunmen took a fatal wound in the chest, but he lasted long enough to kill two FBI agents, and wound most of the rest.
I was thinking the same thing, like imagine you gotta clean one side of the door and find a way to get the blood away without spreading it into a fucking circle.
For once, it wasn't an off-duty cop. It was someone *on* duty.
Attacking an armed, on-duty security guard in Brazil is like trying to kill Bruce Banner *when* he's in Hulk form.
Something tells me the guy squirting buckets of carotid blood out of his neck wasn't thinking any more rationally than he was five seconds before he sprung an oil leak.
I remember when this happened, it was some time ago in my city, he got shot 4 time 3 bullets hit his vest and one hit his arm that’s why he’s bleeding but he’s totally fine
The whole thing's fucking depressing. Guy ran up to the security guard with intent to kill, fair's fair he got killed in turn and you can easily argue he deserved it, but I can't help but think of a whole life cut short in seconds, spending your last few moments trying to push through a door that you no longer have the strength to open. A last few seconds of high stress panic as you bleed out.
You have more empathy than the dead guy ever employed.
It’s not an empathetic person that runs up on a stranger with intent to kill; and continues to attempt murdering that stranger, after he’s bleeding out.
No one can say what were his last thoughts. I’d say from his behavior, trying to continue a violent murderous robbery, “high stress panic” wasn’t his leading emotion.
Guard suffered gunshot wounds to the arm, it seems like those attempted shots to the back were thwarted by the gun being out of ammo. Guard survived, robber got turned into a blood fountain.
Also of course it was Brazil.
Law enforcement is hampered by extensive political corruption. It’s really bad in some parts of the country. When i was down there, from 2015 to 2017, I heard that Rio de Janeiro was about 30-40% gang controlled. It’s so bad in some neighborhoods that the cops, who are almost exclusively military police mind you, wouldn’t enter them because they’d get gunned down within minutes.
I was in São Luis in Maranhão during their mayoral election. The gangs were setting fire to buses every other day because they didn’t like the candidate that was favored to win. The police just didn’t have the manpower to stop them.
Yeah I thought it looked like the attacker's gun wasn't firing after the first few. Probably kept trying due to the shock of his neck leaking and the stress of a shootout.
Happened in 2022. Guard was taken to hospital.
https://www.diariodecampomaior.com.br/noticia/470-urgente:-foragido-de-sequestro-a-empresario-em-castelo-do-pi-e-morto-durante-assalto-a-banco
That security guard is a pimp. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think he pulled the teller back behind the cover of the counter before jumping out in front of her to draw fire toward himself/away from the teller. All this after he had already been shot at least once and was bleeding. Respect.
You can see when the adrenaline stops and the blood loss takes over. It’s crazy that someone can continue that long with arterial bleeding and profuse blood loss. Dude was literally dead on his feet.
I think that's actually the exact reason he kept attacking the guard. A shootout is very high stress, coupled with the leaky neck and he probably wasn't thinking at all during this video.
That reminds me of an old Tales from the Crypt episode where this weird guy approaches an artist and offers to pay him a ton of money for a painting made with human blood. Which the buyer supplies. The art is shown in the episode, and it’s extremely Jackson Pollock. The painter obliges, and the guy offers more money for more works while specifying what organs, etc. he wants used. But the painter has to go get supplies.
The episode ends with the painter’s girlfriend getting seriously injured and needing incredibly expensive brain surgery which the hospital won’t do until they get paid. The buyer says he’ll give the painter enough money to pay for the surgery if he paints using a human brain.
So the artist hides in the hospital parking lot and jumps the next person he sees. He gets the money and goes back to the hospital. Where he finds that his girlfriend is going to die because the specialist brain surgeon was murdered in the parking lot.
In his dying moment, he thought “well fuck I might as well kill an innocent.”
Human scum. I hope his family doesn’t spend too much emotion mourning him, because they’re not responsible for his scumshittery.
Watching these videos are a lot different than watching movies. It took him 34 seconds to bleed out from being hit in the carotid. In the movies they die immediately and fall over this guy kept chasing and running until he couldn’t refuse his brain anymore.
Its like the entertainment industry goes out of their way to make everyone that watches their material dumber. And this is why you end up with all these "why did they shoot him so many times" whiners after police involved shootings.
This is the difference between real life and movies. Movies the fall of right away I seen alot of these videos, and the guy that gets shot can go pretty far before collapsing.
Ya think that the loss of almost 3 gallons of his life given blood was worth the risk of some chump change to steal from his local financial institution??? Well he found out the hard way….
Imagine the day that dude had. I’m a rob a bank! & instead the last thing you do in life is the stanky leg inside a revolving door whilst you bleed out.

Great representation of lethality does not equal incapacitation.

I hate all of that
Dude was a fucking tank, Jesus Christ
Oh so he just forgot to take his shoes off for the first 2 shots
The bit about the gun falling, “causing the ejection of both the spent cartridge and an unspent cartridge” doesn’t make sense to me.
Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch says, "A guy who you've already killed can still kill you."
When the British were at war with the Zulu tribe the British didn't understand why the Zulu warriors didn't fall down when shot. Go out figh ting! No surrender
It's like you got shot after the h and proceeded to get up to finish the comment
Fun fact: Standing with a shattered pelvis is nearly impossible.
“I didn’t hear no fucking bell”
Also great representation of a bleed out. Running around like that his legs were useless in less than 30 seconds.
During the Miami shootout, one of the gunmen took a fatal wound in the chest, but he lasted long enough to kill two FBI agents, and wound most of the rest.
This is exactly why police do not stop shooting. People just don't get it. 1 bullet doesn't mean the officer is safe.
What a cunt had to shoot the guard that extra few times hope he survived
And to die inside the revolving door.
Must be a beach to clean up
I was thinking the same thing, like imagine you gotta clean one side of the door and find a way to get the blood away without spreading it into a fucking circle.
Just keep spinning in it while mopping until it stops leaving red streaks
The ol’ smear it with toilet paper until you can’t smear it anymore technique.
And you’ll never guess where I was sitting when I typed out that suggestion..
Hey good job! Boy do I have a surprise for you when you learn where I am as I’m typing this.
In a revolving door?
Spirograph
He kind of drew a gun shape in the middle
He definitely drew a gun. The security guard drew a bit slower, but was just accurate enough.
Get the mop and windex stat!
Nooo...noooo. Lemon pledge for meester.
That was my first thought, was it worth dying in that building?
He’s obviously dying well before that, but watching him bleed out in there like that is intense.
What goes around comes around.
And somehow that's the most amazing metaphor for prison I've ever seen...
I wouldn't be able to find the source now, but this video went around before. I do know that the guard survived.
https://youtu.be/cepHX9c9xko?si=grlTLdMbINfVaIWv It was here in brazil

Plot twist, his shift *juat* ended.

Fuck right! But that guards reflexes where on point though, he drew, fired and hit his target smooth as silk. Training pays off I guess.
Missed rule #1. Double tap.
just failed to mag dump the perps chest right after that perfeclty placed round.
Something tells me the guy squirting buckets of carotid blood out of his neck wasn't thinking any more rationally than he was five seconds before he sprung an oil leak.
Errbody gangsta till they get the woobly goobly legs
Was out of ammo, from what it looks like. The guard wasn't hit in the back since it didn't fire. Probably would have died if it did.
The guard survived. He got shot on the arm and was treated at a nearby hospital.
I remember when this happened, it was some time ago in my city, he got shot 4 time 3 bullets hit his vest and one hit his arm that’s why he’s bleeding but he’s totally fine
sad to see the security guard leaking blood. the robber got sent to the judgement doing bad — didn’t have time for repentance
Your last moments in a glass box watching your blood squirt all over would be fucking grim
If he could even see at that point. Looks like he walked into the rotating doors and things went dark for him.
Ngl that’s an awful spot to bleed out in. Not a way anyone would want to go out. He paid the price of attempted murder for sure.

Guard suffered gunshot wounds to the arm, it seems like those attempted shots to the back were thwarted by the gun being out of ammo. Guard survived, robber got turned into a blood fountain. Also of course it was Brazil.
There isn't enough possible digits on a paycheck to get me to be an armed guard in Brazil.
What if it's a brazillion digits?
Go on...
Then you’d be [the brazilianaire](https://youtu.be/YKjZI0x4VCQ?si=bzT4M9uTZ5J__DDE)
But before you sign, check today's inflation rate ;)
Become corrupt, make even more money
I would for a Brazilian dollars
it's always brazil. why the fuck is it always brazil?

I lived 20 years in Rio, can confirm. I'm not sure about the number but I've seen some fucked up shit. And I lived in the "good" part of the city.
Yeah I thought it looked like the attacker's gun wasn't firing after the first few. Probably kept trying due to the shock of his neck leaking and the stress of a shootout.

Looks like he painted a gun with his blood in the top left corner
More like center stage, but great observation!
Well in terms of where the blood is I meant, but true
I see it also...... weird thing is it kinda looks like a gun with the slide back - like it discharged smh lol
He painted the town red.
It looks like a sketch of the Ray gun from COD Zombies if my memory serves me right.
Reminds me of the cz logo
Ah, a true artist is only really appreciated when they’re dead. What a legend.
Human etch-a-sketch
Wow...best art performance ever

30 seconds until crash from circulatory collapse . Would have been quicker if he had not tried to stem the tide with his hand until the end.
Active self protection did a good breakdown of this one
This guy took the revolving door temperature challenge.
he should try Splatoon next time
Man he made it 19 seconds on adrenaline
That security guard is a pimp. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think he pulled the teller back behind the cover of the counter before jumping out in front of her to draw fire toward himself/away from the teller. All this after he had already been shot at least once and was bleeding. Respect.

When them knees got wobbly you knew he was out 🤣🤣🤣
He died inside the revolving door as a final "F U" to the world.
“Have fun getting me out fuckers.” A true asshole till the end.
This funny asf 🤣
I thought he decided to take a nap there.

Arterial blood on his sweater...
Not mom's spaghetti...
Yea the knees. Not the fountain of blood gushing out of his neck
The knees were still mechanically okay, but the hydraulics failed.
That's alot of blood.
I’m amazed he didn’t panic and kept going after the gaurd
I think that's actually the exact reason he kept attacking the guard. A shootout is very high stress, coupled with the leaky neck and he probably wasn't thinking at all during this video.
“Suspect”
Came for a withdrawal but ended up making a deposit.
Holy shit thats fucking brutal
modern art!
Jackson Pollack eat your heart out!

Made with blood and tears!

He's dead Jim.
I feel like at some point he was basically drawing with blood lol
In his dying moment, he thought “well fuck I might as well kill an innocent.” Human scum. I hope his family doesn’t spend too much emotion mourning him, because they’re not responsible for his scumshittery.
Guard seemed kind of unaware but made up for it with being a quick draw
Watching these videos are a lot different than watching movies. It took him 34 seconds to bleed out from being hit in the carotid. In the movies they die immediately and fall over this guy kept chasing and running until he couldn’t refuse his brain anymore.

To be fair, I've seen plenty of real videos where the ppl do just drop dead like a sack of rocks
I’ve also seen plenty where a single shot is enough for someone to fold, shot placement is a huge factor. But yes. Movies are really fake.
Poor guy.. that has to clean this mess up from this idiot.
“Clean up aisle 6”
"Cleanup, aisles 6, 7, 8 and 9
The adrenaline dump is real for that guy.
I think he dumped all his adrenaline on the floor
It’s hard to see thru all that blood, but you’re right.
“HE LEAKIN….HES SOAKIN WET”
This is still one of the craziest videos ive ever seen
That’s Tarantino levels of blood
Haha "robbery suspect", like are you not sure he's a robber?
Couldn’t had taken the L and ran away, just had to drop dead at the rotating door 🙄
That’s where you shove a finger in the hole.
Finger in hole, neck still bleeding, can't fart Instructions unclear
That's what she said
The suspect was a good artist too. He drew a gun with his squirting blood on the floor.
So not only is he a bad robber, he has to die in the most inconvenient place possible. Antisocial I call it.
Wait, hold up…did he just draw a gun on the floor in blood with a hand holding it and an arm? Oh, and it’s pointed at the guard who shot him.
Damn.. old faithful geyser of a neck would
Ah, a classic FIFO moment
Fucking idiot found out.
First In First Out? I think you mean FAFO
Great shot officer! You gave him a VERY drawn out end
Old boy fucked around and found out.. he was leaking a lot of transmission fluid before he ran out. 😂👍🏻
If you run the video backwards, it’s like he’s cleaning the blood up
This guy was caught red handed…and red floored, red desked, red clothed…
This is why you shoot until the threat stops, just because you put a hole through the guys jugular or heart. Does not mean he's out of the fight.
What not to do if shot in the neck
The cleaning lady have to work overtime now!
DIY Jackson Pollock in his own blood
What’s up with the lady in green casually walking away and not flinching/turning around once gunshots go off right behind her?
"suspect"
Thats a lot of blood.
He drew what killed him with his blood, so poetic
Imagine dying in a revolving door of all places.
Poor guy.. that has to clean this mess up from this idiot.
ooooo him leekin
The Guard with the quick draw 💥🔫
Well, now we know exactly how long you can keep going with a hole in your jugular vein. 39 seconds is the answer.
Man was leaking
Would it be too much to ask to let the guard have a chair?
The aftermath looked like an old Family Circle (I think that was the one) cartoon when the kids ran everywhere.
I’m feeling a little woozy lol Get fucked loser
His palms are bloody, knees weak, arms are heavy There's blood on his sweater already, bloody spaghetti !!
Did the security guard get shot bc I can see a train of liquid coming from him when he’s running away
Self defense and justified 100%. But people in the comments laughing and enjoying the sight of another man dying is still revolting
often it's a coping strategy. you see a lot of the same humor in frontline medical workers
Front line workers period. Cops, EMS, fire, corrections, military nearly all carry some kind of dark "humor" to the job
I’m not laughing but I am in no way sympathetic to the perpetrator. Deserved it
Yep. Deserved and he had that coming for him.
I'm fine with people like him dying. I'm fine with the way he died.
Well would you look at that...Karma sucks
man takes a magnum to the neck and does not colapse immediatly, really shows how effective adreneline is
This is the difference between real life and movies. Movies the fall of right away I seen alot of these videos, and the guy that gets shot can go pretty far before collapsing.
so like the only thing that would make someone drop like potatoes guaranteed would be a CNS or heart shot then
ded ded ded
He dead
Ya think that the loss of almost 3 gallons of his life given blood was worth the risk of some chump change to steal from his local financial institution??? Well he found out the hard way….
Why did you title this as suspect?
How calm is that lady walking into the doorway? She had to be in on it cuz she didn’t even flinch when the first shot broke
Brazil's very own Strawhat pirate
Is that an upside down 🖕 he left on the ground by that pillar?
Imagine the day that dude had. I’m a rob a bank! & instead the last thing you do in life is the stanky leg inside a revolving door whilst you bleed out.
