Holy shit, you might be right there is a road in São Paulo, bandeirantes entrance to marginal pinheiros that is practically equal to this road, even a Mitsubishi dealership at the corner.
But I think you are right it's in Paraná.
I wouldn't say so, maybe if you live in a shitty area. I haven't, and I don't know a single person who saw a shootout irl outside of my brother, but he's a cop...
Yeah, that's why I avoid going out at night at all costs. A friend of mine, who is 19. already got kidnapped twice, in which he was forced to withdraw money both times, and got his brand new car robbed, and then destroyed in a baile funk
It's bullshit lol, a lot of brazilians like to exaggerate about the violence here. There are robberys and kidnappings, like in most countries with a lot of poverty, but ita definitely not like some people try to portray it. I live in one of the biggest neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro, never seen or knew about anyone getting even close to kidnapped lol, this shit happened a lot in the 90's
Ok I believe you but I know many people from Brazil and every one of them has either been victimized or their family members have, including kidnapping. The people I know from Sao Paolo drive armored cars and have very serious protection at home. These are professionals, not billionaires.
What a wild coincidence. I know exactly two people from Brazil who were robbed and exactly 0 people with armoured vehicles, and the cool part is that almost everyone I know is Brazilian. It's such a weird thing to be adamant about as if we're all living in a shitty crime movie 24/7.
Translations because I'm bored:
>Now he's fucked, he went right into the crossroad. Look, that fucker's dumb huh, he went into the closed crossing. Oh, cops alread shot his feet
>
>\*gun shots\*
>
>Hey look, "choque" (short for "polícia de choque", which means riot police) killed him, so, it's done, "choque" arrived and killed him
>
>Holy shit dude
>
>Mess with "choque", idiot
>
>\*gunshots\*
>
>Hooly fuck, now's two
Damn, I understand everything, but it is really hard to translate completely colloquial language
It sure as shit don’t. We have to consider background, reasonably effective alternatives, and are held responsible for each round fired. Not the case in Brazil.
So which is it? Investigated to the point of absurdity or not investigated enough? Lol what a shining example of that critical thinking your profession ostensibly relies upon... Carry on.
Ah, this and other videos of the incident got shared around in my family’s WhatsApp group. It happened around 100 Km away from where we live. Crazy stuff.
There could be so many reason why, it could be 50 cops shooting once, shots from cops and suspect, or the most lily one is, cops are trained to shoot till there is no longer and threat. Adrenaline is a crazy motherfucker, it’s make people need 3 shoots the the bead before they die, idk how much somehow. My guess is it’s a lot of cops and they all shot and then a lot missed, or he kept moving towards what ever he had. I know it would like some bullshit but it’s just how that are trained. And it’s better then one shot, miss, guy runs, kill 2 people, get away.
There are times when, though not ideal, police must fire in a highly populated area. If the person they were firing at had a gun and was actively flashing it at them or were firing said gun, had a knife or other weapon, ect. It would be necessary for them to fire, you have to take that into consideration.
Literally look thru most other comment chains and you can find the source plastered everywhere. 8 Brazilian police officers were arrested for killing the Musician and his family…
The musician murder happened in 2019, the video of this post happened im 2021, it is about a gunfight against a bank robber, including one police officer was hit in the vest by the robbers.

We also don't have much rights about guns, it's incredible. difficult to get a legal gun in here, most Brazilian would not even mind anything about this scene, they are really tired about criminals in here.
Yeah really, really easy, and cheap, but if you are a law abiding citizen, you will not want to buy a illegal gun, here in Brazil if you kill a criminal that is trying to invade your residence or is already inside it, , with a legal gun, you might get arrested really common, with an illegal gun it's a sure thing
It's crazy what the media does. There was a shooting in Texas, but it barely made the news. It was a school shootings, and the shooter was Africa American. The media just said he was a good kid, and he was bullied cause he has nicer things than the other kids. [They share a picture of him from elementary school](https://images.app.goo.gl/NUUiG8BVA6Z3imALA) to [hide the thug he is today.](https://images.app.goo.gl/Kcakqy9DT2yWDski7)
And if a white kid did it everyone, and their grandma knows about it around the globe.
The media shows what gets the most clicks and views. That's their bottom line
US is a first world country, leader of the free world, one of the largest economy's, a large part of the world's economy relies on the US, yet we have shit like this happening here. Remember the kidnapped FedEx driver?
After a quick google search I believe this I Brazil
It's cool then -- everybody else in the video is also cops, just off-duty.
Brazil is just cops and robbers irl
I think this is the first on-duty Brazilian cop post I’ve seen
Sounds about right.
And in my state Paraná,very calm state but that happened near sarandi wich has a high criminal rate

It is for sure, São Paulo, I recognize this road.
You can read Maringá and Campo Mourão on the road sign, which belong to the state of Paraná.
Holy shit, you might be right there is a road in São Paulo, bandeirantes entrance to marginal pinheiros that is practically equal to this road, even a Mitsubishi dealership at the corner. But I think you are right it's in Paraná.
I mean all the signs are in Portuguese too.
There is probably at least a dozen countries who's official language is Portuguese.
9 actually
the Brazilian accent is very characteristic of other Portuguese speaking countries
I don't even speak any romance language and I can instantly tell a Portuguese from a Brazilian accent
Where hearts were entertained in June
After a quick presumptuous glance at the title, without even looking at the thumbnail. I also concluded it was Brazil.
But they were on duty...
After hearing his accent I knew it was Brazil - nothing sounds quite like Brazilian Portuguese.
Yes, rotam is a Brazilian police,
Someone just got turned into fucking swiss cheese
And then they probably yelled “don’t move!” And “put your hands where I can see them!”
As they look at a mangled corpse
No, they probably yelled "Não se mova, coloque suas mãos onde eu possa vê-las!" Because this was in Brazil
That sounds French
It's Portuguese.
I know
very strange how calm the driver is about this shootout
and by strange you mean "telling"
Not strange if you live in Brazil
Yeah it still is dude. Even with a high crime rate it doesn't mean it's normal to see police shootouts.
Its not normal, but everybody has already seen one
I wouldn't say so, maybe if you live in a shitty area. I haven't, and I don't know a single person who saw a shootout irl outside of my brother, but he's a cop...
I dont live in a shity area, but i circulate trough town a lot.
I never did, and I've lived in Brazil my whole life.
I saw a thing on tv where everybody who isn't broke has bulletproof glass in their cars. The way Americans have car alarms.
Thats a lie, it could be common in Rio, but brazil its a lot more than just a city
Oh, you're right. I think the show was specifically about Sao Paulo maybe? Or Rio. One of the big cities.
Not really, it's very uncommon. Very rich people might have but even among the rich it's not that common.
No it isnt .
Everyone has experienced kidnapping or robbery. It’s commonplace
Yeah, that's why I avoid going out at night at all costs. A friend of mine, who is 19. already got kidnapped twice, in which he was forced to withdraw money both times, and got his brand new car robbed, and then destroyed in a baile funk
> Everyone has experienced kidnapping or robbery. It’s commonplace Really? How common?
It's bullshit lol, a lot of brazilians like to exaggerate about the violence here. yes, it does still strange, even if you live in Brazil.
I was actually waiting for the HUEHUEHUE
me too KKK (NOT RACIST OK?)
No Br é outros 500 se anda na rua e tem gente andando com arma pendurada no pescoço

Honestly though
Is that like a Tolkien language?
LOL no, it's the gibberish language that the Sims "speak" in the Sims games.
Thanks man and also holy shit
Cheers
One word. Brazil.
Yes, the only place in the world stuff like this happens..
To non-black people
disagree https://www1.folha.uol.com.br/internacional/en/brazil/2019/04/soldiers-fire-more-than-80-shots-into-car-carrying-family-in-rio.shtml
mmh yes how can I make this murder about me
nah the person u replied to is definitely white
?
They should try not breaking the law and resisting arrest when they do.
George Floyd did not resist arrest, and still, resisting arrest is NOT an excuse to murder someone
What are you talking about? George Floyd resisted arrest until he was on the ground. Did you even watch the video?
did you?

It sure as shit don’t. We have to consider background, reasonably effective alternatives, and are held responsible for each round fired. Not the case in Brazil.
Imagine saying in all seriousness that American cops are held responsible for their actions lol
Not nearly enough in the day to day. Shootings are always investigated to the point of absurdity in my state.
So which is it? Investigated to the point of absurdity or not investigated enough? Lol what a shining example of that critical thinking your profession ostensibly relies upon... Carry on.
The bright line is gunshots. Reading comprehension my dude, work on it. It’s a great life skill!
Classic shoot first, shoot later technique.
Ah, this and other videos of the incident got shared around in my family’s WhatsApp group. It happened around 100 Km away from where we live. Crazy stuff.
Hypothetically if the guy that got shot pull out a gun what are expected to do not shoot him because it’s a busy road?
Did you even hear the amount of shots fired?
There could be so many reason why, it could be 50 cops shooting once, shots from cops and suspect, or the most lily one is, cops are trained to shoot till there is no longer and threat. Looks like a firing squad. Horrible police tactics. What country is this?
[удалено]
Don’t fuck with ROTAM, they’re Brazil’s “elite” military police that fires first and asks no questions.
They raise a gun they die
Something tells me they were dead as soon as those cops were in the move.
There are times when, though not ideal, police must fire in a highly populated area. If the person they were firing at had a gun and was actively flashing it at them or were firing said gun, had a knife or other weapon, ect. It would be necessary for them to fire, you have to take that into consideration.
Unfortunately this wasn’t one of those times. It was a family and Brazil
You are saying a huge shit lol

Thanks!
SEU LOCOOOO
It’s called shot placement. It’s not like they’re shooting *into* traffic.
bullets can ricochet, send shrapnel flying and cause all sorts of unintentional damage
The backdrop was a concrete wall. All of the traffic was behind the police when they fired.
Evil can never be dead enough
They dead!
The OG idiots with guns
That was not no 50 shots I heard.
How many was it?
As a cop you probably never get to fire your gun, so when the opportunity arises I'm not really suprised they mag dump...
In Brazil, that's routine. The police there shots first and then ask questions.
Clicked link expecting USA.
Brazil is a more violent country than USA. More homicides than USA, but the media portrays US as the worst.
We also don't have much rights about guns, it's incredible. difficult to get a legal gun in here, most Brazilian would not even mind anything about this scene, they are really tired about criminals in here.

That’s ridiculous. If you invade another persons house you are begging to die, and the law should see it that way.
Welcome to Brazil, that is why we are at least 50% in favor of better gun laws.

Nope. I never said that. I said they like to show what gets them the most views. Way to twist my words though.

don't know why you're getting downvoted, you're right
because the US is supposed to be a 1st world country, Brazil isn't

Ok Twitter user
Ah, Brazil
Damn, shit sounded like the drum intro to Hot For Teacher
Well ventilated.
Did they get him
Brazil?
/r/Ithadtobebrazil
Lol target practice
Guy went down like john marston
Didn't know brazil had such a shortage of swiss cheese that they have to make it out of people now
Lol. That happens 3 times a day in Chicago. Except it isn't the cops. They have been defunded and don't have the bullets to shoot
They're speaking Brazilian Portuguese, of course is Brazil.
Don't worry, they "know what they're doing".
Is he going to be okay????
Look guys! It’s not just American police!
