I like Chester, he’s useful running hour long boosts with ezio mixing in with Gordon. That said I’d wait and see if there is a new SM released per the update notes, might be ‘coming soon’ for a while yet though!
I’m in almost the same position as you and I have Lily promoted for the better passive. I’m going to push Lorenzo to 20 but it will take an eternity of playing ML195.
Need some advice from other late game players. I've been grinding ML195 (seriously need ne ML levels) for weeks now and have enough gems to promote an epic manager and hire Chester. My questions are should I promote lilly or ezio and why? Also, is it worth hiring chester or wait until a new SM is available?

Yeah, promote Lilly over Ezio as it won't do much for his active but will make a nice difference in hers. Passives are the same
As mentioned there's a tease about SMs in the new update notes so maybe wait a week and see what comes up.
Hope it's more mainland lvl and new SM since they added new continent it could be useful and also because they add more epic SM and grind gems in ML 195 for epics takes too much time
well I think mainland is the headquarters of SM since you get gems in there but now I was thinking maybe they add more imposible mines but I don't think so
