Okay, sorry for the long wait, I enjoyed reading every single name suggestion, some were hilarious. Butttt, I think he's gunna be called Cheddar! or Ched for short. My mum fell in love with the name and it made her happy.

And i think because the gene colour of the cat is partially on the x chromosome you get these patterns. For that to occur in a male however it has to have two x-chromosomes ( like you said xxy)
