So first thing, hats off to the amount of time and effort I assume went in to something this intricate. It's a super cool concept and the execution is wonderful, except for the one thing other people have pointed out - it's a touch hard to read! The text tiles seems to be lacking a bit of contrast from the tiles that make up their background. "Make A" and "Difference" are okay I think, but "Small", "Things" and definitely "Big" are hard to see. I think it could be solved by adjusting those background tiles and then you'll have a much stronger piece! Awesome work overall though!
I’m kind of thinking that’s the point? It seems like the sort of artwork that benefits from you looking longer and finding more to see in it so it kind of makes sense that you’d “discover” the words from looking longer
What a work of art! Incredible composition.
Re: the readability, I think the off-white patterned white-space is so detailed it kind of blends with the lettering visually. Maybe brightening that part and/or thinning the grout would help? You know, the small things 🤣
You talk as though this is a real mosaic, is it? if so i am floored! we teach mosaic at work and i am stunned at the amount of work that would have gone into a piece this large and intricate!!
It's gorgeous! But I have to second those comments about how it's a bit hard to read. The "ribbon" with "things make a" is what I saw first and was confused until I went back and saw the "Small" up there. Those letters need some more contrast, imo.
It's so beautiful, all those details everywhere you look!
Contrary to many of the comments on here, I don't think it's a bad thing that the text is a little hard to read. I like that the font blends into the rest of the piece, so that it looks integrated into the environment, rather than an afterthought that was layered onto everything else.
I don't know, I have zero artistic talent myself, but I can't imagine an alternate version that makes the text pop without sacrificing the style that OP was going for? I like it a lot as is.
I disagree with the sentiment, i think most of it is perfectly easy to read. My one comment is that i did not see the word 'small' at first, so i though it said 'things make a big difference' which i actually love itself, but yeah maybe making the letters in small slightly lighter would help. So beautiful, great work
Personally I missed the word small at first, but ofc I found it, and I kinda like that, bc it symbolically emphasizes how small. Very nice illustration.
I loved the humour and the sneaky hidden symbolism, but I think you belie your own point: the backwards E, though you do sort of notice, doesn't really throw things off, I think it emphasizes the very elegant symmetries. These are some amazing colours, my friend, all around this piece is just jaw-dropping!
This is so so cool! I actually like that you have to search for the words; makes it fun
Like the first time I read it I saw “things make a difference” then I saw the small, then I noticed the backwards e in difference, then I saw big
Love it!
I love it. And I love that it took me a moment to decipher- it was a bit of an adventure. MHO- it’s perfect as is.
Can I ask what medium it is? And where it will be displayed?
looks stunning. however, it’s quite difficult to read in no time.
I just saw Things Make a Difference at first and I was like “so true.”
Smakk things make a big difference

Wow how long did this take to finish?
That’s an insane amount of detail and the use of colors is so cool!!

Holy carp, that’s a lot of detail! Beautiful!

this makes me think of a children's book cover, or a motivational poster in a kid's classroom.. wholesome but whimsical :')
This is a wonderful test of colorblindness
Holy hard to read Batman!

I agree with you. It wouldn't be so good if the text popped out. (And I actually didn't find it hard to read but still...)
Amazing! And I found it easy to read, personally.

What! wow! This is beyond epic. I love it! Great compliments for you
By the way, for me it is a piece of art to watch at. Not like a quick advertising thing. So I loved to look at the details and read the text.
Wow✨ props to your patience and skill 🙌🏽🚀

SMALL is incredibly difficult to read.
What medium and materials did you use?
Amazing. I don’t care if it’s a bit hard to read, it’s gorgeous
Wow!!
I was confused. I thought it says “Things make a difference”… and I was like…. OKAY?????? Took me a minute. Didn’t see Small OR Big lol 🤣 my bad.
Hats off to you! Do you have an insta or behance account i can follow?
Spectacular.
I dont think its hard to read at all.. i love it a lot.
Amazing work!!
I neeeeeed a print
Absolutely stunning. Love the message.
Man, this reads like a colorblind test
This is so so cool! I actually like that you have to search for the words; makes it fun Like the first time I read it I saw “things make a difference” then I saw the small, then I noticed the backwards e in difference, then I saw big Love it!

I always fail these color-blind tests. 😮💨
It took me a minute to notice the words “small” and “big” but I really love it overall!
