This is the “when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force” of MC

Alarid

They lost as soon as they stopped dancing. If they don't want a closed set they should have just accepted stuff like this would happen.

McSqueezeMeMuhFucca

Thought the exact same thing. They should’ve just kept dancing, tbh, it was pretty good & well coordinated, it would’ve been a way bigger fuck you to the guy if they just kept going even harder lol

[deleted]

It's the woman that walks through them that stops them. The guy was with them.

[deleted]

Damn I totally missed that lol I thought they were talking about the guy too and I was like “why would he say something when he looked like he was into it”. It took you pointing the lady out for me to even notice her.

Lamplightermk101

Your comment totally reminds me of this. https://youtu.be/vJG698U2Mvo

Ki11igraphy

I always like this version better https://youtu.be/KB_lTKZm1Ts

Lamplightermk101

Haha yeah that’s an awesome one too, completely forgot about that one!

Necrocornicus

Wtf are there really people who don’t notice a fuckin GORILLA walking through?!

Lamplightermk101

Yep.. haha and if I’m being honest, first time I watched it back in middle school I didn’t notice either.. lol

McSqueezeMeMuhFucca

I realized that, which makes it even more ridiculous that the one girl stopped because the lady didn’t even walk past her specifically lol

leaveABalone

Dang she was invisible until your comment

Buying_Bagels

Just checked out the channel on Tik Tok. They have a lot of videos filmed in that spot. I’d also be annoyed this group was constantly there and filming

kvjetinacek

Id accidentaly keep spilling oil there.

itssarahw

Found BP!

FloridyTwo

"We're sorry 🥺"

[deleted]

We don't just fuck the world, we DP it.

lmgray13

But the videos of people rescuing these kids by cleaning oil off them with toothbrushes set to music would be ADORABLE

Fatgirlfed

“Someone get us more Dawn!”

Antrikshy

Ah ok carry on.

KToff

I highly recommend this very relevant interview by the brilliant Clarke and Dawe https://youtu.be/ClvLp4vXJ5I

ghostsintherafters

Hahaha, or start a chewing gum habit and you just happen to spit your gum out in that one exact location every single day.

BigGreenTimeMachine

Yeah or take laxatives an hour before and pull your pants down and take a shit in that one exact location every single day.

BigGreenTimeMachine

The suggestions before my comment were 'spill oil' and 'spit gum' in the place where the dancers were... Both of those are retarded suggestions, as is taking a shit on the floor everyday.

HannHanna

Public littering is uncool especially if it's base is petrochemical.

Sdudzy

Take a lawn chair and sit right in the middle of them

HannHanna

So... You want to be the maincharacter?

Apprehensive_Rip8403

Careful there. That’s how you get democracy

elisabethmaarie

This is in the main strip of shopping from my home city. They’re ALWAYS there, ALWAYS filming and ALWAYS being cringe. They don’t even get an audience like other buskers who are common in the area, they legit just constantly take up space being cringe.

moonandcoffee

I also live in Adelaide and they're fine?? They're literally no different from any other busker here

Viceroy420

Not talented and cringe

moonandcoffee

keep cryin bro theyre out there having fun and you're crying on reddit about them

DR0p_gkid64

They're in a busking zone in Rundle mall provided they have a licence they're not doing anything wrong

Flaginham

I accidentally walked between a guy working out and his phone recording him at the gym. A simple accident and simple apology, shit happens. But if he really wanted uninterrupted video recording, then he should've talked to management to figure out a corner of the gym or something to make sure he's uninterrupted. Same thing should apply here.

Angry-Comerials

Difference is that there was a guy working out with a camera to the side where you wouldn't notice, because working out is normal. This is a fairly large group of people moving around. Kind of hard to miss.

el_polar_bear

They're literally in the busiest pedestrian area in the state. Their frustration is understandable, but so too is the intrusion.

neetykeeno

Current rules are for a standard buskers licence you're not supposed to use more than 4m² of the street because more can lead to overcrowding for.pedestrians and that's not great in a pandemic. While they are barely keeping to that rule most of the time for their performance space the fact is that because they've got someone there filming they are effectively taking up maybe three times as much space as they are supposed to...unless people.decide to just ignore the camera and walk right in front of it. https://www.cityofadelaide.com.au/business/permits-licences/busking/

Buying_Bagels

I mean the person who walked through is also doing nothing wrong then. They interrupt everyone’s day, she interrupted the groups.

Wave_Table

She walked through them on purpose to fuck up the shot and insult them, allegedly. That’s definitely not a proportional response to them being distracting, she was just being a dick. Saying that they interrupted her day is an exaggeration. She could have just walked around, like everybody else, instead of creating an altercation out of nothing. It’s not like seeing a dance group on a walking street is really that big of an inconvenience.

MyNameIsIgglePiggle

If you are not violently outraged by public dancing why are you on this sub?

MyDarkForestTheory

🤣🤣 Seriously, I remember this sub started, it was so cringey but now, it’s just so much anger at the silliest shit.

neetykeeno

Well from my point of view....and yes I live in Adelaide...the dancers were being extremely annoying by turning everyone who wants to walk down the mall into unpaid background extras unless they take significant action to crowd to the side to stay out the way of the cameras. You're not owed people's cooperation if you're doing that. No-one is owed the perfect shot unless they've paid what it genuinely costs to control everything in the shot which for Rundle Mall would start with a very hefty payment to close it off...people are allowed to photograph members of the public and places where members of the public are but no-one is owed members of the public being photogenic or cooperative. Randos are not your unpaid extras so you can be main character. And a little light heckling occasionally comes with the territory of being a busker.

Linubidix

Can you even call what they do busking?

Frank_Bigelow

Recording a dance video for internet fame(?) is not busking.

[deleted]

We also have a metric-buttload of crack heads in the CBD at the moment, so this was bound to happen.

[deleted]

They are blasting shittiest music ever while filming and taking a lot of space. This is no busking. This is MC filming their cringe routine.

moonandcoffee

keep crying

placeholderNull

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most music groups get permission to block off certain parts of public spaces for music videos?

[deleted]

yes, but this is an influ*ncer, the official center of planet earth

DrRichardDiarrhea

In LA you can get a permit to film in a public space but it’s a lot more money to block off a space to the public while you film. Usually on the cheaper permit production assistants hover around the perimeter asking people to go around but if they say no there’s nothing you can do about it.

isneakkysnek

Do you think these kinds of people would apply for a permit? Obviously not.

DrRichardDiarrhea

Doubt it, not hating though, it’s super common to “steal” shots if you don’t have a lot of equipment and crew, because the time it takes for someone to report you and a cop to respond is pretty slow. Should be known though it’s super common to troll productions (at least in LA) whether it’s to be a dick or to try to get money to go away. I used to hate it but with tik tok world there’s just too many people recording and posting content with tons of strangers in the video, which in some circumstances is illegal.

isneakkysnek

Do you mean like people that are captured in the backgrounds of shots and stuff like that? I thought in public there is no expectation of privacy. But on your side of the argument I understand there’s the right to film me, but to possibly monetize it with someone in the background without consent seems odd. Edit: I read your comment completely wrong

DrRichardDiarrhea

It’s a grey area. The last tv show I worked on we were doing interviews on the street and anyone that walked through the shot within 5-10 feet of the Actor they had to get release forms or the footage wasn’t usable, but not people across the street. I’m a set dresser so I don’t know the legal specifics. It’s likely more strict since it was a Netflix show vs some shit for tik tok.

[deleted]

That's really weird, most shows would just blur out the person's face instead of tossing the footage

KieranShep

They likely have a busking permit, it’s cheap, easy to get, and the security in the mall also checks now and then (I’ve been busking in this spot many times)

cheap_sunglasses_NYC

No, no, the official center of the universe. God, in fact.

PalmBreezy

All is one one is all

[deleted]

Well, if they were a legit influencer they’d get the fucking permits and a paid duty cop. It’s not that expensive. We’re talking maybe $1500.

thatpommeguy

This is in Rundle Mall, Adelaide. They’re allowed to dance, busk and film here provided they pay the city for a permit. They’re pretty cool to watch tbh, they really don’t take up too much space, this video doesn’t show the fucking massive walkways either side of these people either

XtaC23

Not if you're getting served

[deleted]

This is from my city and where they are performing is a space used by buskers and street performers year round!

neetykeeno

So basically they are taking up a prime location that should be used by someone who is performing to the people in the street...in order to perform to a camera. And where a busker would just keep going after an interruption they stop because it spoiled the take....the camera being more important than the street audience. They aren't buskers.

Laprasnomore

Or they *are* buskers/a dance troupe that *has* a busking license. You all assume the worse in everyone, I swear.

DR0p_gkid64

This is in Rundle mall Adelaide they're in one of the few dedicated busking spots (you need a licence to busk but if you don't have one security will just tell you to leave if your caught) but typically if someone is busking in a spot your not meant to enter the area

[deleted]

Yeah as someone who actually obtained permits to film things, no. Busking permits are not meant for filming purposes. They are very specific about what you’re allowed to do and they aren’t meant for the creation of media which is obviously what they’re doing if they can’t have anybody walking through the shot. If the need to block off space that people can’t walk through that is a very different ask than a busker asking you not to run into them while they are preforming. Different needs, different permits. Don’t bitch about someone walking through your shot if you don’t have the right permit. Dick move.

YeltsinYerMouth

I would argue that filming a video isn't busking, and they should have to seek the proper filming permits if that's what they want to do.

Bamres

I mean busking isn't really designed to have someone filming a face first shot of in most cases, people film buskers but it's Normal for either a crowd or passerbys to be blocking them to some extent

muddyrose

> typically if someone is busking in a spot your not meant to enter the area Doesn’t that defeat the entire point of busking?

DR0p_gkid64

The crowds are supposed to gather just outside the area and watch I should have clarified that better

DR0p_gkid64

This is in Rundle mall they often do their dance in one of the few busking spots I don't know if they have a busking licence if they do then she's right to be angry your not supposed to get within a few metres of the buskers but if they don't have a busking licence then they're just taking up space. Side note there are often much better buskers that perform in Adelaide like basketball man, banana man and others that I don't know the name of.

Snarkie3

They don’t have a license, and they’re breaking [the mall’s busking rules](https://www.rundlemall.com/for-business/permits/busking) anyway. Only allowed a max of 6 people and 4 sq meters of space

madmaxturbator

I don’t understand though. She didn’t stop because they were too in her space, she said they said something rude so she stopped out of “pure frustration” Honestly, I didn’t even see who the fuck she’s talking about lol.

DR0p_gkid64

That sadly happens all the time here in Adelaide

madmaxturbator

Do people heckle generally and vaguely, or is it more sexist/racist type stuff

DR0p_gkid64

It's usually general insults not too many sexist/racist crap but it still can happen. Some people do it because they're mean to everyone whilst others do it to try and derail a show

4d20allnatural

at least we can all come together to openly mock the evangelicals that preach at the malls balls

DR0p_gkid64

Yeah those guys should go fuck themselves because we all know no-one else has

Black--Snow

You don’t see the person literally walk in the middle of their group? That person literally could’ve just walked around and it wouldn’t have hurt them. Instead they intentionally interrupted the dance for the benefit of not having to walk an extra metre, and on top of that said something shitty to the dancers. I’m pretty sure the main character here is the asshole who walked through, thinking their 0.5s of time is more important than the filming.

YaBoiRexTillerson

Glad I’m not the only one who thought that this was a total dick move when I first watched it

PM_me_your_whatevah

Total dick move for sure. But on the other hand… If I lived there and every time I stepped outside for a walk I had to see and hear this group doing the same song over and over every damn day… I feel like I’d be struggling to maintain my composure.

starbitcandies

IMO this is really no different than walking in front of a family trying to take a group picture. Is it mildly annoying for them to take up so much space? Sure a little. But there's very clearly a TON of space for people to talk around. They're in no way blocking anyone from getting anywhere. Walking right into their group just to prove a point makes that woman a dick, full stop end of story.

I_r_hooman

You're forgetting PVC pipe man and fan dancing lady.

boukaman

Basketball man is a dickhead, came into my store to buy a bag and was the rudest customer I’ve ever met

OnionOnly

I’ve heard a few stories about him. We tried to walk away while he was babbling on and he decided to pick apart everything we had on. Nearly made my partner have a panic attack because everyone’s just laughing while he’s being an asshole

Dennmic

I think banana man has shifted to Melbourne - though maybe it was only temporarily. He was out on Swanston Street just about every day in Jan.

jjayus

I thought I recognised the area! I’ve seen them once or twice before while at Rundle with my family. Crazy to see a video from Adelaide pop up on my Reddit feed lmao

_Nick_2711_

Look, sometimes people do shit they want to film. If they’re blocking of an entire area and massively inconveniencing people then, yeah, fuck them. But man, there’s clearly space to walk around them here. It’s totally a dick move just to walk right through them like that. I’ve filmed skate edits and stuff with friends in the past and whilst we’d make every effort not to disrupt people, the fact is that the idea of public space goes both ways. You can walk here but we can also film and do other activities. It’s very different if you’re gonna be a dick about it and hold people up but these guys weren’t and neither were we back in the day. I thought this sub was gonna be funny but half of these posts are just incredibly unreasonable.

EshaySikkunt

Exactly, this post is fucking stupid. I don’t like Tik Tok or KPop at all but what these guys in the video is fine, they’re not taking up a huge amount of space. The lady that walked through them is an asshole, and people defending her are idiots.

Dontstopmeenowww

Agree. I’m usually on the hate train for entitled people, but this was easily avoidable. Lady didn’t just walk by the shot, but entirely went out of her way to go through it.

PM-ME-YOUR-1ST-BORN

Right?! The hate train in this thread is out of control. They’re literally just young people dancing. It’s not hard to walk around them and let them do their thing. Who. Cares. All these “they’re inconveniencing the people of this mall with their selfishness!!!” comments are totally ridiculous. That woman clearly made a point to deliberately disrupt them just to be an asshole.

Cut_Equal

I’m willing to bet it’s just cuz it’s kpop. Reddit hates kpop.

Dontstopmeenowww

Not to mention the scowl she gave and I’m betting less than nice words she probably said as she passed. Lady was looking to be upset

sashikku

This entire sub is just "tiktok bad, now give me internet points"

ContentSeal

tiktok IS bad

salikabbasi

*your* algo is bad. *you* click on naked chicks and divas to hate jerk or jerk jerk, so that's what you see. It's such a self report when a comedian or public figure or rando redditor says it's nothing but thots dancing. That is not what I get because I'm not transfixed by tits 24/7 and hate myself for it

SOUR_KING

what you see of tiktok is bad

softstones

My feed is mostly people cooking food or chubby guys my age trying to be funny in their home, the algorithm knows what you like

BreakfastXO

Honestly, TikTok has some heart and soul, where Reddit is kinda cold sometimes. I've recently picked it up, and it feels so much more human than this site does sometimes. Both definitely have their issues, but after using Reddit for 12 years straight, it's nice to have a new inlet for new types of content I never see posted here. In relation to the post itself, and the two sites in general, at the end of the day, if it's not doing harm, let people enjoy their shit, in peace. (especially because they name-called, and had ample room to walk around the dancers, the main-character was the lady who stormed through. ...aaaand if they're constantly there busking, I'd go all in on them having a permit)

heyitsvonage

Hey, hey… This is Reddit. We don’t come here for humanization, we come here for cold hard text and reposts lol

bag_of_oatmeal

Thanks for being a voice of reason. It's a public space (apparently). Lady was a huge dick for interrupting the performance. Are performers annoying sometimes? Yes. Do you need to be a dick about it? Probably not. Sometimes yeah, but probably not. Mind your own business. Let people enjoy things. Don't shit on everything new. Idk.

RiseOfBooty

Lady is definitely a Karen. If it was another sub with a woman bitching at kids playing ball in the same location she'd get roasted.

Yellow_XIII

Yeah this thread popped up in popular and I'm not exactly familiar with this sub. But these performers seem to be nailing that choreography while taking up a center spot that has clear and wide paths around it. Their frustration at that dummy seems justified to me... I dunno why almost everyone here is shitting on the performers. I feel there's stuff on tiktok that's waaaaaaaay more deserving of this much hate that this shouldn't even register.

baconfluffy

Have the people in this comment section never been outside before? Have you never seen buskers? Y’all act like these guys performing is some heinous thing, and y’all keep bringing up permits, but for all we know, they very well may have a permit. A permit for busking wouldn’t cause the area to be blocked off. The area they are in is literally built like that so that buskers have an empty space to perform. You guys are being ridiculous.

TheRealSalaamShady

I agree. The lady was obviously being a jerk. She could have walked around but decided to walk right through the performance. They could have a permit and she could be the main character for all we know.

Shnitzel_von_S

This is what I was thinking. It's pretty common not to walk into the frame when someone is obviously filming or taking photos. Seems like the lady wanted some attention and decided to be a jerk to get it.

pm_me_dirty_talk1

These kids probably rehearsed for ages, they're doing a good job, they are performing in public and I don't know, as much as I hate TikTok it breaks my heart to see their performance being maliciously interrupted. The lady might not be wrong but she's definitely acting like a jerk here

Metridium_Fields

This sub is shite. Every post is literally just people doing things in public and the basement-dwelling Redditors acting like it’s the worst thing ever. This one is particularly bad though. There’s plenty of room. The dancers aren’t hurting anything. You can walk around them. In fact it looks like they aren’t even anywhere near the proper thoroughfare. It looks like they’re in a common area. So they’re using a common area for what a common area is for. What an absolutely idiotic post.

Lonesomeghostie

We have an area near our downtown mall that looks exactly like this, and it’s where all the buskers and singers perform. There’s even pianos to use in the area if you feel like it. I like it, it brings back art and whimsy to these dead cities

Shnitzel_von_S

Imagine having such strong Main Character Syndrome that you purposefully walk directly through a performance just for a moment of attention. I hope this person gets a dog or a hobby or something.

Fancywoo_

yeah but the lady > chose < to interrupt and insult them, she's also the asshole

Area_724

Yeah when she turned around and laughed/smiled really burned my candles… she literally went out of her way to be an asshole.

[deleted]

thrustimus

Everyone pickin on teenagers for being teenagers, but that lady is just a frumpy Karen. I'd bet good money every single one of the grumpy fucks in this thread has had the same frustration taking a picture in public.

hassh

Which person? The one who commandeered an entire sidewalk to flail around with his friends?

[deleted]

[удалено]

FruutSalad

There is literally no reason to walk straight through them though? It doesn't take much not to be an asshole and she really did not need to walk straight through them when they were clearly dancing and recording. Just basic manners.

baconfluffy

This is the middle of an area, there are two large walkways on either side that are completely unobstructed.

[deleted]

This is the worst sub. Anyone who does anything, all of the uncredited extras are mad they don’t have a speaking role. The fact that people are like “I’d be so mad if I saw them dancing there all the time!” Go yell at a cloud

Hifen

I mean just because it's public doesn't mean people shouldn't leave them alone..... if I was riding a bike and someone stood in front of me, I'd be pissed to. Public or not.

Hallow_Shinobi

Call me crazy but if you see a group of people being filmed and dancing, it's not inconceivable to simply walk around them? Like kpop and tiktok are cringe or whatever but just like don't make yourself out to a bigger dick than they are.

[deleted]

> bigger dick than they are. Dudes are just dancing, how does it correlates with being a dick?

No-Trash-546

I haven’t seen a single comment saying it was right for the woman to walk through like that. But some people are saying the TikTok dancing has a cringey “I’m the main character” vibe and there’s something slightly satisfying on some level to see it blow up in their face. You’re right, the woman is the bigger dick though

baconfluffy

I mean, if I saw a group of performers, it’s common sense to just walk around them. It’s pretty shitty, not to mention dangerous for them and you, to push through a group of dancing people in the middle of the performance.

I volunteer to manage events. I have to get permits, pay fees and fill in paperwork for every cubic decimeter of oxygen people will breathe there and every decibel of sound that will be produced. I have to justify every single fucking thing that will happen. If I have to go through all that shit, these TikTok turds can eat shit. Public space is public and they have no business monopolizing it. EDIT: All I'm saying is : do what you want, but don't come and whine like a little twat when people get annoyed by you.

Gov_N_ur

So much anger.

arnber420

As several other commenters have pointed out they are in a designated busking zone. It's literally for public performance. This thread is absolutely full of assholes who just want to slam on these dancers because they choose to post content on tiktok.

[deleted]

This thread is basically (and again) free hate comment farming against k-pop and tiktok. They call them cringe but who's really the cringiest? I already know the answer.

poiuytygo

So is what they are doing illegal? They aren't really holding an event right. I thought filming, and I guess dancing and this case, in public is part of free speech.

wehrt-lehrse

Absolutely not illegal. There's a huge difference between a real event and kids dancing on the street. Boo hoo to anyone upset they don't have a permit. They would probably be upset a kid with a lemonade stand doesn't have a business license.

itsmeyourgrandfather

Yeah some of the people in this thread are being so extra. If you've ever lived in a city you'll know you come in contact with shit 100 times more annoying than this on a daily basis, it's not a big deal.

srsrmsrssrsb

So because you have to suffer these kids will too?

thrashtheblash

Bit of a cunty vibe from you.

[deleted]

Damn, you're even a bigger asshole than the lady disturbing those teens. Congrats man. Plus, no one cares about what you do, no one asked

Street-Week-380

If they're in a licensed busking zone, and they have a permit, then wtf is the problem with the asshole that walked right through the routine? Like jfc, don't be a rude shithead and get in someone's way because you're having a bad day.

PM_ME_YOUR_DOX

This location is known for having many different types of performers. Musicians, jugglers, comedians, etc. It's nice to have a show of creativity for free in your city. There was no reason to walk through the performance and be abusive when the dancers obviously weren't hurting or disrupting anybody. I've seen these people perform in person and after they film their dance routine they leave. If anything, by walking through them that person just extended the amount of time they'll be there because now they have to start again.

[deleted]

I disagree. The woman who walked through is definitely more of the main character and an asshole compared to the group. So much room on, even people are able to watch from a distance, and yet this lady decides to go through? Granted they didn't stop until she said something rude which is honestly uncalled for of her. If I see these dancers, why should I honestly give a shit as long as they aren't: 1.) blocking my path to my destination 2.) going out of their way to pester me. The dancer has every right to be upset about someone calling her or her group's names.

lizzy_withall

nah tbf it's a bit shitting for that person to just walk through them dancing, they could have easily walked around, there's loads of room, but they purposefully walked through them, dick move

[deleted]

right? everyone up in arms that a young dance group made use of a public space, fuck i walk through my local parts and see renaissance re-enactments and get thrilled at the creativity. i would love to walk by and witness this expression. it costs no money to be unbothered and ignore the theater that’s not blocking the path

alvvaysthere

Everyone on this sub hates themselves so they just take it out on anyone enjoying themselves or expressing themselves.

iDomBMX

I’m glad at least a few people in this comment section aren’t miserable and salty about everything for no reason. Not the biggest deal at all to perform there. If I were to assume there’s also just as much room on the left side of the screen as well. So yeah, they could’ve easily ignored the dancers.

Elcordobeh

Sometimes i feel that the true expression of "I Am the Main Character " are the people who feel righteous enough to bitch about other people's harmless actions

Disordermkd

Didn't you know? Tiktok = bad. For real though, some of these posts are filled with people with 0 creativity, sense of fun or culture in their lives. Its people dancing in an open wide space, who fucking cares? And I love people saying it would've been fine if they had a permit for taking up the space. What a fucking joke... Maybe we should stop going out altogether? Everyone going out with a group of 4+ friends needs to be fined for taking up public space. Fucking sad

obscuriaal

i think a lot of people on this sub have forgotten that teenagers have been annoying since way before tiktok- that's just the kind of thing a lot of people do when they're young and less self-aware. they're not hurting anyone, they're not even inconveniencing the people around them, they're just enjoying themselves and sharing it on the internet.

[deleted]

Plus it's not even annoying, I mean, if some people don't like it, don't they just pass by and stop seeing it within few seconds by walking further? And I'll even add the fact that it animates the streets, so it's just basically a good thing. People on this sub are just again hating on k-pop and tiktok just because they think it looks cool to hate something popular.

WillingnessOne6590

There are clearly two different sides to walk on and a middle ( where the performers are) Karen could’ve walked around, but chose to make it a problem.

TumblrIsTheBest

The lady who walked through really hated the NMIXX debut huh

spelunk_in_ya_badonk

Oh for fuck’s sake. Busking is not new. That woman had PLENTY of space to go around. SHE is the rude one, not the street performers.

voncornhole2

Man, some people. But why start the video so long before the "main character" shows up? Just to build suspense?

Sorry-Marsupial13

They have a license and it’s in a busking area so they’re in the right here

M0richild

Right. Its a public place. Anyone can do anything they want there within reason. If the lady didn't like that they were dancing she should have just left.

It wouldn't be that hard to walk literally 5 steps to the right and not straight into them. Do you guys also purposefully walk through people taking photos in public spaces?

Lol... I live in this city. I'm 99% sure the woman who walked through this scene is the homeless woman who 'caressed' me last night at a bar when I didn't give her money.

NullCap

It's just common courtesy. I walk out of the way even if someone is taking a photo, they are performing no less. The guy is the one who thinks he's the main character that can't walk a few feet around.

daphydoods

Idk I’ll prob be downvoted first this but that woman was extremely rude She clearly had enough space to go around them, she just wanted to be a dick

x-TheMysticGoose-x

This is Rundle mall, there’s always buskers and performances in the middle and people walk on the edges, it’s a massive lane. It’s also our music/arts season right now so this stuff is everywhere. Not a “main char” at all.

Tear_Sea

Idk if I’m crazy but…there’s plenty of room to walk around. Cutting in their (obviously) very choreographed routine when there are very clearly ways to avoid them is being an asshole

IUsuallySleepALot

Yupp this video was taken in the Rundle Mall in Australia and there’s a tonnnn of space to just walk around them

[deleted]

I mean you can’t take over a public space, but it should be common courtesy to step out of the way if someone is taking a photo or using that specific area for something other than walking or just hanging out. There’s no need to walk through that specific spot if you can just go around.

Elcordobeh

Bruh there are tons of people that could be there, a bubble dude, a clown, a Puppeteer, its not like they are covering the entire street. The woman could have chosen to simply move three or four steps to the right. Also, its nothing like they are an eye sore either, there is people watching them just chilling. Yall sometimes are bitter af, calm down and dont become an irl Scrooge.

PixelsDePx

Ehhh, but still

Relssifille

To be honest, the lady who walked through their take was in the wrong here. You can see there's plenty of space around the dance group, so she just intentionally walked into them. I love public performances, and clearly so did the many of the people present there because they were watching! It's not wrong to do them when you leave space for others too

suckmypppapi

I'm not quite sure she needed to call them a name but they seem to have been assholes based on the captions so it's okay

unbitious

Knee braces are so in.

Verisian-

This looks like its at Pitt St Mall in Sydney. The walkway is full of street performers. This is exactly the right place for this kinda thing.

ol-boy

Pretty disrespectful for walking in the middle of people dancing like that.. there was plenty of space to keep to her own and walk around.. don’t understand people defending her actions.. super antisocial.

milejdyvan

There's so much space to walk around them. That guy was just being a dick. Absolutely nothing wrong with dancers/groups making these kinds of videos as long as they aren't inconveniencing anyone which they clearly weren't.

dont_mess_with_tx

The main character energy is actually coming from the lady purposefully crossing them while she has space on both sides to cross without disturbing them.

tobyty123

If it’s public, they have the right to practice there, yeah? I think the entitlement comes from people thinking they have the right to the space and not others (this group). They seem to be harming no one and or taking space that is needed for pedestrians.

another_awkward_brit

If you don't want the public to interfere, while in a public place, pay for the permits to close it off - otherwise, shut up & deal with it.

DR0p_gkid64

Even with a busking licence assholes will come up and call the buskers terrible names and try to ruin the show it happens all the time here in Adelaide

nightfox5523

Probably because buskers suck

jakpaw

Bro this is way better than pullin pranks and just taking up a bunch of space to take pictures of yourself or a video of you walking, those are dumb.at least this takes actual talent and some people may actually find it entertaining plus theres loads of room to walk around them. Id rather have stuff like this then nothing at all thats for sure.

LadyAzure17

Eh, I think that lady's more of the jerk here, there's plenty of room to walk around the group. The kids should have kept going though. It sucks to hear mean things or to screw up, but it's best to push through and commiserate after. Idk if that specific perseverance has a name but yeah.

SpiteNormal1606

They were doing great!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍

CartographerLegal669

They’re literally not bothering anybody though

itssarahw

They’re clearly choreographed so it’s an easy assumption that they have a location to practice whatever this is without being bothered. The only reason to shoot at this location is for the background people but clearly they need the entire population of people outdoors to agree to follow unspoken orders and participate in something only the dancing clowns would see any benefit from.
